Shifting coins between alt and btc on an exchange can give you nice results Smiley

Now that sounds like gambling, unless you have some insider knowledge.
Why only profit if you have some insider information? I see others just trading between alt coins on a good day and making profit. Small amounts but still in the positive is considered profit.
Not really gambling. Only if you risk a large amount to get a massive amount of profit. But just like anything, that is greed and you'll eventually lose on those investments.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to"Non-custodial"

Not really gambling. Only if you risk a large amount to get a massive amount of profit. But just like anything, that is greed and you'll eventually lose on those investments.

I will concede the point that there is potential there, and in that regard, there could be intelligent strategies to enter and to exit into alt coins  - especially if you can time your entry and exit well and during times that BTC prices are either stagnant or going down.  On the other hand, you could a whole hell-a-va lot if you time it badly and if that timing is further magnified by your missing considerable BTC appreciation that could also take place at unexpected times.

In other words playing alts can be risky like gambling if you do NOT do your homework or employ some strategic and informed timing of your trade actions.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

You also start lending your coins if you have more then enough for you. This also help to grow your bitcoins. But make sure you always lend coins with proper collateral. No collateral then no loan will save you from loses. I don't spend much of my coins in gambling because I know I can't make much from that method.

Yep trading is the way to go. I used to do gambling but I found out the harsh truth unfortunately.

Trading on the other hand is much easier and you can actually win here, without being lucky.

because gambling does look pretty easy to play for some people who have certain skills. because for the moment it is very difficult to find a method to grow bitcoin. trading? quite difficult to analyze. invest? too many scammers. so the people prefer gambling despite having a huge risk, at least gambling is determined by luck Grin

The best method is just to hold and keep them safe in cold storage and wait for halving of blocks after that will be huge increase in price. If you can't wait then try gambling or trading other cryptocurrencies are the options but there are also some risks involve too.

That's only a good way when you can live with watching the bitcoin price drop 10% or even 25% a day. It really can be stress to hold bitcoins.

Yes really stressful. Smiley

Im watching the price chart now. Just now it hits $264 as of I posting this. Less than 10 minute it's in $266 mark.

And right now it is $269,9 for BTC. In the past several days the price is fluctuating around $260 and let's hope it will never drop under $250 again. At least I think so.

It's always fun as long as it wents good. I'm not sure if you still hold bitcoins when the price drops or if you watch your value dropping. Smiley

Even the price went good still a stressful one. It really affects my mind by creating some massive decisions making ideas if what will I do next lol. No point of letting it go now since price range are just in a small range. Smiley

Well with the current positive speculation about the price for the next upcoming weeks, reaching back the btc price for $250 mark has a low chance*.

Trading bitcoin and lending out are the riskiest methods I wanted to do. I have some experience in these two. When one out of 10 loan goes wrong it will not hurt that much same way in trading too.

When one out of 10 loans goes wrong then you lost more than what you earned in the last 9 loans. If you received 10% interest. If you had a proper collateral, that means a nonhacked account, for example Roll Eyes, then it might be not so dangerous.

So never loan without a proper collateral.

No he is right. Even when someone claims he "grows" his bitcoin with gambling. It simply is not correct. Either he deceives himself by not thinking about the losses or he had a short time some luck.

But it is impossible that you have luck all the time. And mathematics can't be beaten. You will inevitably lose over time with gambling. Except you play something where you can change the odds to your advantage. But dice casinos and co are nothing like that.

So no, offering gambling to newbies is a bad advice. It it simply a mathematical proven sure way to lose your bitcoins. Not to grow them.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

As far as I am concerned here are the ways you can earn BTC:

1.  Faucet-Low value, but you have no chance of losing faucet BTC you receive, there are sites out there that might not pay out though.

2.  Sig Campaign-  Depending on your rank you can go ahead and earn a set amount per post

3.  Trading-This is much like gambling, you can earn coins depending on well you trade

4. Gambling-  You can earn coins from gambling, but this is by far the most risky thing to consider

You forgot about 5) working for either fiat or BTC and converting that paid work to BTC.

I guess it's too late Cheesy , I can see a lot of bitcoin newbies on a local bitcoin earning group being interested on gambling cuz of those people posting their winnings with gambling. I somehow pity some of them cuz they use to gamble their hard earned btc with faucets and if they lose, they will post begging some BTC cuz they lost.

I think so, I've also experienced being scammed before on ponzis hoping to get easy BTC with it and I also lost a lot on a dice site before using martingale strategy that I thought it would surely multiply my BTC(claimed by my upline on the said dice site). I guess it's a part of being a bitcoin newbie looking for ways to earn Grin

You forgot about 5) working for either fiat or BTC and converting that paid work to BTC.
why people should always list the gambling as a method of growing their coins? if you continue that maybe newbie's will com to gamble because they saw that many users are saying that they grow their coins from gambling.

Might be that every bitcoiner has to go through some kind of school, a learning curve. Including being scammed in numerous ways, losing on gambling and so on. Cheesy

Yes, unfortunately. I have lost twice, pretty bad on the altcoin trading. After second time I have just stopped altogether. Altogether about 3.5 BTCs lost. I did earn a lot though by trading up until loses, but these loses did hurt me quite bad.

I was also supposed to lose 2 BTCs on the BTER hack. But a night before the hack, I have decided to withdraw my coins, the same coins that were over 6 months on this exchange. Now that was some crazy luck, I know it.

Yeah, that was huge luck. Cheesy

One should never let coins lay around on an exchange if you don't trade with all of them at the moment.
