What is up with this coin?
I remember price was 0.001 a few days ago.
Now it is almost 0.005 btc per coin now

Probably because the dev completed all the first roadmap in just 2 weeks and also by this:

What has actually been developed so far other then the masternode system locking up coins and tor integration ?

CRAVE is the first anon colored coin with dark markets on blockchain and masternodes
Anyone will can create your own anon market within blockchain if have 10,000 crave.
Each crave can be burned for blur, which is an anon colored coin to be used in these markets. 1 crave = 5 blur.
Only 520k coins and this number should decrease, as many will be burned for blur and other used to create markets and masternodes.

There was hesitation from the market, rightfully so, as to if this Dev was scamming us all or if he was legit. But he released masternodes a couple days ago and they are fantastically working with very high profitability and he performed a hard fork and there was literally a 2-minute hiccup which he immediately fixed, and then he released the second road map.
Overall this coin should now be valued similarly to bitcoindark for now...so we still have a good rally ahead of us in the short-term.

Disclaimer: I know emotions run high in this thread, this is a genuine technical question and not FUD attempt

Has anyone else experienced problems with syncing?

I left the wallet overnight but it was stuck at 10 days behind.

Next, I deleted eveything, restarted and it downloaded only 2 blocks.

I have plenty of connections - right now 56.

My debug.log is full of orphans - just like yesterday.

Quote
ProcessBlock: ORPHAN BLOCK 751, prev=169319fd4a508aafaf6ac5709160d83340523168cf74c64dd61d1f10e740bb79

I know lots of orphans in the blockchain can slow down syncing but I don't think this is normal.

Are there any recomended crave.conf settings?

same problem here seems to be happening with windows 8 wallet
I was trying to reload the chain overnight,with no luck.But i got mine sync this morning by using the previous wallet,and many restarts of the wallet.
It finds a few blocks then nothing.when it synced i switched to new wallet again

I have the same problem. Clean installation but still stuck at orphan block 751. I added nodes from ocminer's list with clean installation of crave. Still stuck at orphan block 571 and unkown Spork messages spamming the logfile.

I hope Dev wakes up soon.

I'm glad it's not only me. Syncing is very very slow, but with the latest wallet it gets blocks from time to time.
I believe this should be later on improved. I have used recomened crave.conf settings.

100% annual increase, dont forget it.

I think coin rollout plan should be better communicated as propably many people are confused about it.

OP only says "POS Reward: 1 CRAVE HiPOS" wich is a bit enigmatic..
From what I've gathered here on this thread, people think, that 1st year it's 100% per annum, the next one 50% .. is that right?

ummm its called "NOT A SCAM"  I know some of u havent been here long so i will break it down for ya   this is what happens when a coin is legit. I know u dont believe me but it is true. this hasnt started yet.  I know I know but listen most coins are created by a small well run group to go really high and take your btc. this is not one of them.  this coin is actually pushing for ACCEPTANCE  and we have a LONG ROAD ahead it will go up or down for the day but the trend will always be up over a larger timeframe because ,it has to be. in order for this to reach more people, we must keep pushing and fighting against manipulation. eventually we will reach the true potential somewhere above $5.00 but who knows how long it will take? NOT ME . NOT U . only the market can say for sure

Yes, 50% decrease every year because the reward is immovable
0.66666 mn payments
0.33333 pos payments
1 year: 100%
2 year: 50%
3 year: 25%

Hello Crave community , I just bought 670 crave and I'm now looking to set up a masternode. I'm a noob when it comes to this so this might be a stupid question, but can I run a masternode on my windows 8 PC, or do I need to install Linux? If so, how do I go about and set it up?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Sent Sologap a PM, he will be able to set u up. Or you can do it yourself, there is a guide here somewhere if you read back some pages.

Ok, Thanks, I will PM him.

I did find a guide on the Crave Website, but it looks like it's only Linux and it looks too advanced for me: http://www.cravecoin.info/master-node-guide/

So I guess it cannot be set up on Windows?

say thanks to whomever posted this guide  Wink Wink

Start up and sync your wallet.
Open debug console, type: masternode genkey
Copy output key into a text file to be used later
Then, in debug console type: getaccountaddress 0
Copy output address into a text file to be used later
Send 500 CRAVE to address output above, no more, no less.  Exactly 500.
Close Wallet
Create/Edit crave.conf:
Code:
maxconnections=100
rpcuser=solo
rpcpassword=user
rpcport=9999
gen=0
server=1
daemon=1
reservebalance=9999999
masternodeaddr=YOUR_IP:9999
masternode=1
masternodeprivkey=KEY GENERATED BY COMMAND
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

Save
Wait  15 blocks (see confirmations from wallet you sent 500 CRAVE)
To start masternode wallet, open debug console and type: masternode start
EDIT: don't forget to lock your win wallet so it doesn't stake!

All went well, up until I typed in 'masternode start'.  I'm getting the following error:

"not capable masternode: Could not connect to 112.198.79.181:9999"

I know the software firewall has given full access to the wallet and when I type 'netstat -a' in my Command Prompt it shows that it's listening to port 9999, so I would think it is open, but maybe I'm overlooking something here. Could it have something to do with my router or my internet service provider?

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

nice profits. sold some to buy a ticket on the XBS train. its starting to pump hard and with only 1.3 million coins and trading below 100kSAT...it looks like it can go double that.

You guys haven't looked at Bitstake (XBS), you should. its different tech from CRAVE and severely undervalued.

My router was my problem, so I'd blame the router. Go to your router's setup and enable DMZ for your computer to access that IP without router blocking you.
