I got one of the vouch copies.. I have a win 10 64bit PC.. and I followed the instructions to install the software.. The application is not opening. The OP has given me his skype ID, waiting for his response.. I will update this once the issue gets resolved.

Strange that people would stop selling, considering this was just changes to their API.
Udemy have stated the free preview feature is here to stay so I don't think there will be any problems and I will update it for as long as I can.

I got one of the vouch copies.. probably the first one to get..Initially had some trouble with the software but, after a few hours of diagnosing it finally worked.! :) According to OP the error was specific to my PC and not the software.. and if that is true.. He was patient and helped a lot to make the software work for my PC. Udemy has a lot of courses..some r really good n some r poor.. why pay for each course seperately while you can get the whole package for cheap.! :) I can vouch for this product.. it is working seamlessly now! thanks a lot Krejsx! :)

This was fixed in v0.0.4 :)
It was a problem with a cross thread call that caused the program to crash, it should work fine now :)


I've edited the thread to clarify, there are no refund if Udemy patches the method but I doubt this will happen because free previews are a large part of udemy's business model and this method has been working for over a year.

The latest update I got is version 0.0.3. Where can I find 0.0.4 (the last time the software reported that there was a newer version)

After udemy update their system, all my downloader stop working. then i found this thread and contacted the seller right away. Already downloaded 20 courses since 8 hours ago.
What i can tell is ;

1. User Friendly, Just copy paste the links, download and DONE!
2. We can see the downloading progress %. very helpfull.
3. The Tool shows exactly which files is on downloading progress.
4. Video setting from 360P to 1080P is another ++ featured.
5. Fast Respond Seller is another thumbs UP, also he promise to update his tool in the future udemy patch!

The tools is working great only need to improve the opening speed. sometimes takes too long to open.

My personal rate is 8/10

Can I test it?

I'm also interested to test this. How do we download the tutorial files, is it by the downwload manager of the browser or is there an option for torrent?
The later part is what I prefer though as my connection isn't that fast so i can live with 10 hours of download so long as it won't be a corrupted. I could just download the filesfrom TPB but seem like i can't find it there :)

I give up, I have been attempting to buy via skype for 2 days but the communication is absolutely awful.    I'm not going to chase people around to give them my money.

Just an update on the situation.   After settling the miscommunication, I purchased the bot from the OP.   It is working incredibly well.   I have ripped about 5 courses in 20 minutes.   I have zero complaints about his product and would highly recommend it for anyone who wants it.   After you have ripped 2 courses, the bot has essentially paid for itself.   This is a fantastic program.   Thanks!

I have purchased this ripper 2 days ago and I have to say it is awesome. It is foolproof. Copy your list of links, start the download, go to bed, wake up in the morning to all of your courses. (Of course dependent on your internet speed).

I purchased both (lynda and udemy) 2 days ago and all I can say is holy shit balls! First the pros

Pros

• Lightweight processing, it doesnt bog down my connection or take all my resources from my pc while running (I run win 8.1, 6 gigs of ram blah blah blah)
• batch downloading work like a charm! I ran a 200 url list and it grabbed 121 before freezing up. No big deal i just saved where it stopped and restarted with the remaining list. I can give more details if it happens again

Suggestions

• the program opens in 2 windows, not a big deal at all really just "annoying" why cant that 2nd window be an iframe in the other window? or another tab?
• It is a pain in the ass to get udemy/lynda links. is there a way to streamline that? again has nothing to do with the programs just lets say if I want all the tutorials on udemy about cooking and there is 30 of them, instead of opening 30 tabs
• if there is an update how do we get it?

Just some quick feedback for you all:
This UdemyDL ripper is the real deal. :D

It's a superior version to the now-dead "Udemy Ripper Unlimited" from ollierex, has all the features AND the ability to select between video resolution (ollie's only had SD and HD). Got in touch with KrejsX over Skype, made the PayPal payment ($20 if you can "gift" from PP, $21.88 if not), and promptly got the UdemyDL software and the license key. (Those who wish to pay with BTC, you should know there's a 10% discount. $2, but still :P)

Upon starting the software up, it asks to enter your license key (only once) and then brings up an interface where you can either copy-paste the URLs of the courses you want to study, or load a stored list of Udemy course URLs from a text file. Select what assets you'd like to download for all courses in the list (video, PDF, MP3, quizzes, etc), the resolution of the videos to grab, and press "Start Download".

UdemyDL will create a new folder for each course in the list, with properly named files and folder structures (chapters).
It works like a charm, I set about 20 links to go earlier today and they're all done. :)

You can feel comfortable purchasing from KrejsX, he's fast, friendly and fairly prompt (given the time difference in Australia ^^).
I suggest those who wish to learn from Udemy, get this ripper ASAP and get what you can while there's still the opportunity. :)

I'm not sure how they got emails but I'm investigating the logs on the server.

Thank you for investigating KrejsX, and I hope it is fake. I was about to have a heart-attack when I saw the email. The spelling mistakes were odd, because Udemy lawyers wouldn't send out a email with errors in it. I just wonder how they got my email address, and knew I was using the program.

Ok, it appears that someone managed to get our support portal info and STMP which was used to send out some fake emails.
I'm investigating at the moment.

Summary of Issue:
Help Desk was logged into by a unknown person and they used this to get people's emails who created tickets.
They then used our SMTP server to send emails pretending to be udemy to anyone who made a ticket.

The email is not real, there is no need to worry :)

Thats because I suppose you sent a support ticket via helpdesk as I reckon which by any chance the breacher(aka some dickhead) managed to login as admin!

Definitely fake. I have been using the ripper daily and no e-mails of such. Also, the English in that e-mail is atrocious.

P.S. @KrejsX, the new update is really good. I feel that the download speed is much better now since the update.

              I have been using the program for the last couple of days and all I can say is WOW. This program is absolutely brilliant. When I first opened it I knew straight away it
              was the real thing. It opens in two windows. One is a Command Line window and the other is a User Interface window.
              
              The Command Line window shows you the download information of the courses you want.  
              Like  1. % of video downloaded.
                     2. Total in MB.
                     3. MB received.
                     4. Average Download speed.
                     5. Total Time of download.
                     6. Time Spent.
                     7. Time left of download.
                     8. Current speed of download.

              The User Interface window is very user friendly. At the top you have from Filetypes, Settings and two buttons. One is to Start Download and the other is to
              Load Course URL List. The Filetypes options show you boxes where you can select from
               1. Video Files
               2. Audio Files
               3. PDF Files
               4. HTML Files
               5. Quiz Files

              In the Settings options you can select the resolution of the videos your downloading. You can choose from 1080p, 720p, 480p and 360p.
              You also can select just save the links of the courses you want. You can also choose Show Download Console (Debugging).

              The middle of the UI is where you add all the links of the courses that you want to download. You could have 10 courses you want. Add the links, head off and after a
              while your courses will be done. this is also great.

              Near the bottom theirs a Percentage bar that shows how much of the course is downloaded. On the bottom theirs in info bar that shows all the files that have
              been downloaded.

              All in all I have to say that the people who developed this program did a great job and deserve alot of respect and Whoever ye are well done again and

              For the price your getting this program for you cant go wrong. $20 plus Updates for life. This deal is too good to be true. Get this program while you can. You wont regret it.

It's fake, it's spoofed. If you check, it's sent by sendgrid and not Udemy.

The Vouch for the program,

The program works flawlessly so far [I hope seller will maintain it and not abandon it like Ollie did  ;D, am not saying Ollie scammed or anything, but maybe he is too occupied with other things to update the software], managed to get some pretty cool courses.
The GUI is pretty straight forward & works as it should.
If the software can create a text file within the course folder showing the link of the course, that'd be great :), but its just a thought, not something I cant live without.
Had been using Ollie's software previously [flawless during its era) until it got busted, but this one works well too.
I'd recommend the software for $20 (Steal actually), considering you can get $1000+ worth of courses (excl the resources, which is a udemy limitation).

For those having trouble updating to the new version, do disable any download manager that you have. That's what worked for me.

By the way, @KrejsX, there is some UdemyLegal user posting things about illegal selling of such rippers and being subject to illegal action. Do take note although I'm not sure if its legit. Also, if I wanted to start using VPN on this, will that have an effect on the registered number of IP as I have installed in 2 computers? I was too lazy in the beginning to use my VPN but I think its time I do with such posts going around.

There's no way those messages are legit, they would just issue a DMCA to btctalk. Search udemy ripper on google and you'll find hundreds of results they could easily take down :P

Those videos are not being downloaded it seems.

Hi Krejsx, the problem was only for some courses. The application right now is working as before.

For other users, try to changing the course for another and try to download. In my case, all of the five first courses, were resulting in errors, when I tried to use the sixth course, it worked fine.

Hi tmicfytb, your second error is doubt some connection issues. Delete those 1kb videos and rerun the course download. This works avoiding the already downloaded material and only download the failed files. Usually with a .mp4 search is enough.

That's what I thought, but I downloaded the whole course 3 times, and the same files were 1 kb of size. Please try to download the course, I'm curious, let me know your results. Then I thought maybe the original videos are corrupted on Udemy, but that's not the case. One of the damaged files can be previewed, and that's proof the source is OK.

Just thought I'd chime in and help out those with questions about the program and the last few pages of this thread.

Having problems / errors?
Here's a solution that helps me roughly 60% of the time

The 2 different script errors you're hearing about in this thread are happening, but they also happened with this ripper's ancestors. Also, it's only happening for a small percentage of the courses available on Udemy, that I've experienced so far at least. Most courses download with no problem.

I'm not sure why, but it seems like a few specific courses have been packaged in a way that UdemyDL has trouble reading, at least first time or when they're part of a long list. (That's my best guess based on my experience at least.) I believe the problem's more to do with Udemy's side and not so much with UdemyDL's, but there could be some tweaking that KrejsX could do that might help. (Or not, we'll see.)

In case you get either of these errors (while KrejsX investigates) while trying to get a course, in my experience what sometimes works for me is to load each of the "problematic" courses one at a time in UdemyDL.

If I load UdemyDL up, copy-paste and download only one URL, then sometimes it goes through and downloads the course (when before, when it was part of a list, it would hit an error). I'd say this works roughly 60% of the time for me. Just keep the URLs of all the "problem" courses in a separate notepad, and try each one of them one by one.

However, there are just some courses, a very small handful (out of 30,000) but still, that are "stubborn" and you just can't rip right now. (I feel for you guys, there's a few courses I can't get no matter how many times I try.) For those... thank God for Udemy's $10 sales. :P

[edit]: One other thing: I've noticed also that UdemyDL performs best when you take breaks in between downloading courses. I've noticed what feels to me like, spamming Udemy's server continuously with download requests tends to initiate "cooldown" times on your IP. Knowing this might help you get encourage your problem courses to go through too. :)

1. This tool still does its job really well.
2. To date, it's the best of its kind.
3. It's available to purchase right now for a low price. (for who knows how long...?)
4. It can rip (I'd say) at least 96% of the courses available on Udemy (as of this post, 31/01/16)
5. it can even resume downloads that got interrupted ;)
6. For the problematic ones, you have a solution that may help the process (otherwise just deal and be grateful with what you can get. :) )
7. If you want to empower yourself with high quality training, but can't afford to buy all the courses your heart desires, this is an ideal solution for you.


I hope that helps ends the spam of error messages in this thread, and give renewed confidence to all interested parties. :)

It's an error with the cache server on udemy's end. Trying to see if i can find a work around.

I don't think it's just an normal (502) error. The 503 shows the request is bad. And it's just with a few courses but they have always this error.
In a long list it doesn't work and in a short list, not too. But every other course in the list works fine, it's always the problem with the same courses.

The program works great, and certainly works even with multiple queued items. It's able to download all assets except for files that are on tabs in Udemy which makes sense. This will only be important if you need source code or exercise files for the course. Otherwise, you have a full copy of the Udemy course at your disposal. The developer keeps the program updated on a regular basis. His support is excellent.

My only hopes and wishes for the app. I wish it was a little faster, and I'm sure it will be over time. I also hope that the developer doesn't at some point stop supporting the app, like another developer did. I only got three months for my $25 with the other app. I hope the developer constantly updates this one.

Still hesitating to buy honestly , I came across a course that I would love to get but It says that Project files and resources/references are included , does your program download them ? (You only mentioned HTML , PDF etc ...) .

No sorry, it's not possible to get these files without buying the course.

I'd have liked the Project Files and Resources to some of these courses as well, however (I think) because they're put in a different location to the rest of the course files on Udemy's servers, it's not possible to grab them. If you really need them, you'll have to buy the course. But if you can replicate from the videos or you don't need them them that badly (and there's usually a way around the files you may not have), this tool is the best out there bar none.

Been a happy customer for the last few weeks, and even if you have a couple of courses that give you trouble, usually just trying to get them later does the trick. Even though the project files would be nice, it's the education in the videos that's the main attraction. :)


[edit]: Yeah, sorry buddy :(, UdemyDL grabbed everything BUT the Project Files for your Blender course. If you really need them that badly, best I can suggest is wait for another low cost Udemy sale. BUT if you STILL want to learn Blender WHILE you're waiting for the sale, then GET this tool NOW while it still works and EDUCATE yourself! :D (Confirmed UdemyDL can grab this course ;) )

Actually UdemyDL already shows the download speed. :)
You'll see it as the last column on the right hand side of the "Console" window (UdemyDL has the main panel where you put in your download links and the separate "console" window that displays more detailed download statistics of each file in the course.)

I think, at this time, the API has also been updated, because it can not download videos that are not in the preview anymore.

This program no longer works as of today.
I poked around the api, however all the endpoints used to grab files now return 403/Unauthorized response.
If anyone figures out how to bypass it, message me and i'll update the program.

Otherwise, Adios for the foreseeable future. It's been a good run.

My own software has stopped working as well :-/ I was using youtube-dl in the background. I had managed barely 2 sales (+ 2 great vouches).

Instead of shutting the license down completely, why not make it so that paid udemy subscribers can enter their udemy credentials and download the programs that THEY have access too? It's over mate , It's impossible to do this anymore as Udemy patched the method.
So there is two things to do now : Search for the course in torrent websites (Kickass was the best but FBI took them down) or check UdemyDownloader.com (most of good courses are covered there)

Just bookmark it and check it later , It was working just fine yesterday and it exists for long time so I doubt It will stay down forever.

Its unlikely sites like that will stay online for long. I would instead just suggest searching them online, a lot of the courses can be downloaded through links publicly posted. There were also users here on the forum who were uploading lectures as requested, not sure how they get access to them, but you could try that.

Another method is to copy and paste the udemy course url to Allavsoft and click Download button
