Well the favorite part has to be that no government controls it and this does give a great freedom to it's user plus other factors like it's very minimal fee as opposed to other traditional monetary system is huge plus for me. Also I would advise to change the title of the thread so it won't mislead others.

my favorite thing about bitcoin is the fact that i don't have to go through any rules like what they have at credit card companies, or in PayPal,... i just use it on my own and never have to give all my life story to a third party just to be able to purchase stuff through them.

Anonymity, it's the best think that I like from Bitcoin. Anyone can use Bitcoin anywhere and everywhere without worrying about their identity.

put most of them in cold storage... cash out in 5 years :) also invest a small part to bring out others

my favourite part of bitcoin is the fact that we can't touch it. haha. in my region, many thiefs steal in houses so if I have bitcoins, they're not capable of stealing my bitcoins in my home

You should just hold them for the future, its the best way to make profit for sure.
If you wait now and sell them later after the halving has been done you will make huge profits!

i don't believe there are any other great opportunity before the halving, for increasing your amount of coins

the last chance was with eth, i doubt any other alt will skyrocket before the bitcoin halving, other kind of investment are a bit meh...

if i have 13 bitcoins i would save 10 btc into cold storage and 2 btc for invest by buying an altcoin and i would spend 1 btc for playing my favourite gambling games blackjack

13 is a fantastic number. I advice you to keep doing whatever you have been doing to get those 13 Bitcoins, and grow your stack until 21, so you are part of the 1 million people max to ever own 21 BTC. Then it's a matter of holding long term for a guaranteed massive profit where you will be insane to sell all your coins for other shitty assets and doomed fiat currencies, but selling a % of it (max 50%) would be enough to retire while still being a big holder in Bitcoin.

That is a lot of Bitcoins. I think you must save them now for the future. The value now is very low so it is not smart to sell them.
If you wait a little longer than you can sell it if the value has rise. But you only now have to wait for what is going to happen.

I would just sell theen while they're nice and ready. It's not good to take a change with sitting bitcoins. They can decrease in price any minute and you don't want that to happen.

That is a lot of coins mate. You can be a millionaire maybe in 10 years. You dont know what can happen in the future.

Well with 13 bitcoins finding a good way to invest them would be important, but my favorite part would be the value and growing ease of use.
Mainstream and recognition is growing even saw it in popular mechanics a while back so seeing new press is great :)

I would gamble with some of them to make profit, and hold some other bitcoins to make profit by the halving.
You can just hold them to make profit, split them into wallets.

You should hold 10 Bitcoins and invest the other 3 into solar panels and a miner, or just hold all of your coins and sell one coin each year beginning in December 2016.

It is pretty funny how the price effects people's psych. I know guys who are completely different in mood and action because of the price although they are in for long and not overinvested.
Price $10 up they smile and pay you a cup of coffee.Price $10 down next day and they remind you you owe them a coffee!! :D

I would hold them for now, spend them wherever I could and sell when bitcoin reaches $1000 again.
That's what I would do. Who knows, there might be a day when I can say that I'm able to do this.

My favorite part is being able to be in control of my bitcoins, I can do whatever I want with it.

If you have to ask this question the best outcome is possibly just save them unless you have come up with a better investment strategy than holding.

That is a lot of money mate. You will be rich later in the future. But you never know what the value is in the future and that is bad.
It is so hard to predict and that is not good. You dont know when to sell or buy it.

Indeed, I think this is one of the best tactics that is possible, just invest some bitcoins and hold the other one for the future that is coming, or for the halving that will let the price increase for sure.
I think its good to hold your bitcoins right now because the halving is coming and the bitcoin is also getting bigger everyday.

You should just hold your 13 bitcoins for a later moment, think about a long term investment its pretty much the same you should do.
The thing you also can do is hold them till the halving has been done after the halving you could sell them all if the price is very good to sell, I think the price will jump for sure.

Then you wake up the next day after halving, and you see the price went x2 and hate yourself for the next 3 months.

The best thing you can do is hold long term. If Albert Einstein was alive, he would be smart enough to know that. Trying to short Bitcoin is an huge gamble.

Just hold them, eventually bitcoin will be THE global currency.  At that point you will have roughly $13 million to spend on anything you want/need.

Its good to save your bitcoins , indeed just hold your bitcoins so you can later make more profit with all thirteen, I think this is the best method.
Just put them in multiple wallets and sell them when the price is really high so you can make a lot of money.

At least during 2016 the Halving Year this is solid advise. Doubting the 1 BTC == 1 Million USD long goal, but don't stop dreaming  ;D

Yes i agree with him. Better you hold and wait until halving coming. I'm sure the price of bitcoin will increase when halving coming or after halving. Then you can sell all your bitcoins.

if i have 13 bitcoins, i will take 3 bitcoin to have fun, like buy things i like, gambling and donate to charity and then take another 5 bitcoin for trading and then i will keep another 5 bitcoin for investment in the future

Trading is best way to double or lost your money (BTCs), so try to learn good trading tricks. 1/3 of coins store on the safe place, 1/3 use for training, 1/3 go in alts.
Alts already have great return, looks at those pumps on Bittrex and Poloniex.
BTC-e is best place for day trading btc/dollar.

That is really nice if you have that so that is quite good. I hope that more people will have it. But dont spend it now.
It will be good if you are holding so that you can make some more money later and that will be more worth also later.

If I have 13 bitcoins on hand, then I would definitely open up a business, that is big enough to be a capital for a physical store that accepts bitcoin as a payment...That way I am not just earning, I am also spreading the words about bitcoin..

I would reinvest them to make them into 100 bitcoins. My target would be to reach 500 bitcoins as that is the amount I would need to change my life. So keep going and keep generating more with it. Money makes money, same thing with bitcoin, more you got more profits you can generate. When you reach your target then you can spend some on luxuries too.. I think holding because of the halving can also be pretty profitable if you ask me.

You wont get to 500 if starting out now and have no money to invest or a very well paying job.  Even then to invest into 500 bitcoin you would need to be pretty comfortable elsewhere in life.  Its better to make smaller realistic targets and that way you can achieve them and be happy you did.

my favorite parts from bitcoin is easy to make transaction,i just use my smartphone to make transaction,and its unlimited with small fee,wonderfull experience,because i can make bitcoin account without out from my room,i never dream about bitcoin before.

With reinvesting the 13 bitcoins you risking to lose the bitcoins, or at least part of the bitcoins. It is like gambling, the higher potential reward, the riskier to loose your bitcoins. More safe is just hold the 13 bitcoins for future when you migh need these more, and maybe the 13 bitcoins will be worth a fortune in ten years or so anyway, you never know...

I know here few people who scammed their way to 500 btcs. And all this was accomplished in altcoin section with great help of one pumper group. So when we are talking about investments there are plenty way to lose your starting BTC-s.

Yes but is you afraid of trading and security you can miss many good opportunities.
You can lower risk of fraud if you avoid ICO coins and some obvious scams.
Nothing is certain and 100% secured when you trade, even life itself is not guaranteed and certain.

1: I don't have 13 bitcoins. but If I will gain 13 bitcoin form somewhere than I hold them for price increas, everyone know next halving is just on the way. so holding bitcoin is best Idea now.

Best part of me is the ease and simplicity of actually using it, It is very easy and simple to conduct transactions and is absolutely instant, That is far better than other methods.

i have many fvorite thing about bitcoin,i love the symbol BTC ,also i love the price,and of course anonymity and the most my favorite thing from bitcoin is,i can get it for free.

The relative privacy it offers, and the fact that no one in particular control or has complete control of the market and it being open and available for almost anyone with computer access.

Control on exchanges belong to whales. They can cause damp or prevent it with walls.
Their influence is more powerful on social networks were they together can cause even more panic and fear.
We are far from good distribution.

with 13 bitcoins, i would use for trade bitcoin and sell all it now than waiting price drop to buy back and keep them until halving. i'm sure will get much profit in mid this year.

Hold it until the halving that is the best thing to do, don not experiment with your hard earned coins as you would loose you coins if you invest in any ponzi or gambling so its better if you hold it for next couple of months.

rather than use it to invest in the company of others. certainly better use bitcoin it for personal gain. or open their own businesses. it was much better and we can control our own bitcoin right

if i have 13 bitcoin i would save 10 btc and also would use the rest 3 btc for my capital trading activity and i think i will earn daily profit with 3 btc capital

If price is good just convert it to fiat and enjoy the life ride, or else just wait for the price rise and sell it when the price is good, and if you have knowledge of trading then you can trade with your 13 btc and try to increase it.

we are all hoping for such a high price for bitcoin in the future. and i think it is not so unreal cause it can be possible to reach 2k even 5k per btc.

if I really have the 13 bitcoin then I'll save the 10 bitcoin. and I will make trades with 3 bitcoin. I'm sure with a few months I will have a total of 20 BTC. I am very happy to make trades, I learned from failure.

Wow turn 3 bitcoins into 20bitcoins in a few months is great though. For me, i will use my 13 bitcoins half into gambling and half turn it into fiat.

I once had a good luck with Nav coin..I bought accidentally (i saw opportunity) before critical update and i tripled my holdings but i'm still very far from 13BTCs.

3BTC is a good amount to start trading. you can earn a solid income with this. just try all the trading strategies. use Forex trading as well as, and use direct trading also. go to trading section where you can get so many traders to contribute and work with..

13 dollars is not enough to enjoy the life ride.. you have to do something else with these 13 btc to increase them, if I get 13btc form somewhere I will start trading them and make profit from them trading is best method of earning bitcoins nowadays.

Gambling is a bad way to spend a lot of bitcoin, the risk is much much greater than the profit. (except you got insane luck)

Why not use 3 for trading and 10 for save, you always put less money in more risky stuff, not inversed.

Besides trading could make 10-20% gains, so no need for big capital.

There's a whole lot of things you can do with your 13 bitcoins. But if I were you I would hold at least half of them to sell them right before the halving when the price goes skyrocket.

That's a huge amount of bits. I'm mostly will hold for until the value high enough.

That's the right thing to do as there is no risk involved in holding your coins but if you trade or gamble with your coins then there are maximum chances that you will end up loosing everything.

13 bitcoins is a lot of money for me, its more then I earn for one year on my work. So what to do with so much coins easy answer spent it. I would go to sea 15 days, gamble some amount for sure. Maybe I stay one for any case, but rest would be spent and I think I would enjoy so much.

13 bitcoin is only a few thousand dollars, which actually is better to be hodl and maybe spent (but buy back) as it is (not converted back to cash).

I will keep 10 of these in cold storage- maybe get yourself a trezor or equivalent. Some in the online wallet, like coinbase etc, and 1 in your phone wallet which will be handy.

It's a nice start amount. And i would store them too. Get them safe and secured offline.
Wait a few years and see how much your profit it. Sure there is no guarantee but things have to go very weird will the price not go high by then.

If anything, he should be looking for the change that will occur after the halving, and base his choice off of that. If the price goes up, chances are it would be better to continue holding and wait for the price to increase. Alternatively, if Bitcoin stagnates for some reason, it might be a good idea to watch the market carefully and then base his decision off of that.

I think the best thing you can do is just investing in the bitcoin itself because it will give you profit for it for sure, no doubts about it.
Also the halving is helping at it and the part that the bitcoin is growing too.

i dont think that you should invest it anywhere because there would be a possibility to lose it all in a short period of time

i would definitely hold it and thats it, waiting for a big price increase is the best thing you can do in such situation

If you have 13 bitcoins, thats large enough to start a small scale business, a payment center is a good idea I think, either by bitcoin or by fiat, just don't think about putting it in a gambling site or investing it in a ponzi..But if I were the one having that large bitcoin amount, I will be keeping it a secret that I have that large amount of bitcoin..

Split your risk

Bitcoin itself is risky business as it is ultimately a volatile market.

That being said however, there has been lots of money made by people just playing the rises and falls.

Even just through this past year it accumulated nearly $200, so btc themselves is a nice way to invest your btc.

But as previously recommended, split your risk. Take some of those btc's and maybe put them in some altcoins,
or look into mining the coins for your self. Rather that be mining equipment or cloud mining, there are many options
that will eventually yield even more btc!

The best thing now that you can do is just hold it now around this time. That is the smartest thing that you can do.
The value is not that high now. And it will maybe rise later in the future and that will be very good.

I think bitcoin is very interesting in itself, The thing I like most about it is the ease of use IMO.

Honestly, be side i can use bitcoin anonymously and bitcoin has low fee transactions, i really like bitcoin because i can looking for bitcoin by free way and i can paying my monthly bills with that.

i don't care about the anonymity feature of bitcoin that much, i mean it is a good feature but not the reason for me.
i like it for the low fees and also the fact that i can trade it to earn money.

I will invest them in not a single place but will divide them in various places like cryptocurrencies, stocks etc.

If i were to have 13 bitcoin in my hands i would just let it sleep and wait for the price to go up.

If we are speaking about the 13 BTC , I'd recommend holding them (I will give the same advice even if the amount was higher/lower then that).
Now for what comes to the best part of bitcoin for me , It would be the fact that we can make accounts (wallets) easily and without worriying about the anything (our accounts getting limited , getting cracked/hacked etc ...)

(For those who are going to say that people can hack other people bitcoins , yes you can ... but if people take the needed security measures , you won't be able to do anything) .

Do make the coins idle within the wallet. As said investment is not good plan. Just try with gambling you may get some additional profit than selling after a long time hold.

number 13 BTC for me enough to have fun. 13 BTC will I use for investment in the world bitcoin. I will double my bitcoin. more and more and I would be rich.

if i had 13 bitcoins i will invest 25 % on trading and 10 % invest in gambling site and the last part i will keep them safe for 10 years later, yeah long term investment

Investing and trading will be very risky. The best thing that you can do on this moment is just saving. That will be very good and also safe.
Because if you are investing or trading. You can also lose some money and that is not good.

I will probably store 10 bitcoins in my cold storage and try some risky trading and make some profit.

That is so great if you have this number of bitcoins, I guess you can do some trading but not all of it within your standard and keep some of it for future investment. This amount may provide you a bigger savings when the price value of bitcoin is always getting higher.. watch out for the exchange..

Well if i got 13 bitcoin i would keep it and wait for the halving to come,i wont invest it in trading as the price of bitcoin will surely be up after the halving.

BTC13. This is my breakdown.

BTC5 purely on trading. It will give me lots of profits since the capital is big. (although in reality I have more than BTC10 now. got in trading)

BTC5 purely on real life business. There are lots of businesses idea here with that amount.

I just want to suggest you that don't take risk with your bitcoin. 3 bitcoin is also a big ammount of money. if you want to trade anyway then trade with trusted users, there in this forum you can find many trusted members who can give you paypal and other dollars for your bitcoins.

For me if i have 13 bitcoins i will start new business online like exchange site fiat to bitcoin and bitcoin to fiat.. this is i think the best business.

I think people do not want to wait too long time to make a profit. I would not use the holding. I prefer to grow bitcoin rather than just hold

Yeah, after having 13 bitcoin and after storing 10 bitcoin out of them anyone will start any of the business no matter how much risk will be there, as if there is already 10 bitcoins and losing 3 bitcoin is not a loss.

Send the 13 coins to a burn address and help the rest of the community coins go up slightly . Once completed try your best to acquire another 13 then burn. rinse and repeat.

To answer this quoted post, you won't make money more just by saving those BTC13. Didn't you know that even a 1/4 portion of that amount can give you profits because of price fluctuations. Saving coins won't give you a quantity increase but only an increase in value. If you will circulate some portion of that coins you will able to increase the quantity and value of your coins.

With 13 Bitcoins I would be holding 90% and take the other 10% and invest in other alts.  Of course do what works with your income level and budget.

Both of them are good questions. What to do with 13 bitcoins is holding at the moment because does not worth investing at this time neither starting trading for altcoins because of the exchange rate decreasing. The second question, what i like mostly about bitcoin is the freedom, no (bank) stress, government does not control it (at least not directly) and the transaction fees are pretty small.

Well what you could do is just holding the bitcoin for a while to make some nice profits with it, I think that you can make some nice profits by holding it for a while if you are smart.

Not just for a couple of days. I would say hold for a couple of months and then sell if you really want to or if you want even more profit, keep holding.

I agree, it is very risky to invest our bitcoin now because of the upcoming halving. Many hyips now are showing with the objective that to steal bitcoins from people and collect them until halving. Even some gambling sites now are also collecting bitcoins. So the best choice for now to what to do with our bitcoin is to hold it until we can sell it at the price we want or it is safe to invest.

Save it, and use it slowly on various different things that would of came up a years later etc, while trying to keep it saved and use a part time job for spending. I think trading in altcoins while the price of btc is still soaring is not a good idea since you may encounter those coins that only there to fool people buy pumpingit and you may end up losing your capital, but if you know how things goes then go for it just be cautious.

13 Bitcoins is very nice sum. In your place I would invest a part of it, maybe to buy some fine art, shares or gold or even some profitable business. The rest I would keep and try to enlarge the sum. Anyway, just keeping all this coins to sit idle in your wallet is not the best solution for making money.

This is a great idea. You can use a web wallet for short term storage though, but that totally depends on how long that means. I'm storing my spendings money on my web wallet because it's the least and easiest to access, and the rest are stored in paper wallets and hidden around the house in the safest places possible.

I think the only answer in this bear market is do holding which can help to gain good income one the price goes up. Doing holding will takes time because you will sell it in the right time which the price of bitcoin was goind to the moon. If you ever have 13 bitcoin I suggest that just hold it.

To be honest, I would spend as much as 50% of the funds directly we without converting it into the Fiat currency or any other currency because I believe that moment is a growth and Crypto transactions would amount to the growth of Crypto industry as a whole. My favorite part from bitcoin is that since I started using it and having it, I was able to earn money or extra to fulfill and pay some of daily expenses. I am earning with and still keep on earning from it. I am very happy to find this kind of currency. Actually I don't understand the question that much, but as what I understand he/she is asking what will I do if ever I have 13 bitcoins. For me I think will keep some and some will be invested for projects to earn from it. Maybe if I have much I willl share some  with my family members specialy with my mom.

Having 13 bitcoin is a huge amount of money with the current price of BTC and If I owned it I will hold 50% in bitcoin and diversify some to good altcoins that can make my investment balance. Also I will cash-out 5 BTC for my business plan to build a beach resort that can be a good source of income even if the crypto will stay in bearish I can still have earnings.

13 bitcoin is a huge amount of money, but now as you can see the price of bitcoin is not as good as the past year so if I were on your shoes, I will hold it until the right time comes that the price of bitcoin will increased and that is the time that I will sell it and invest it to different tokens.

Well i would save 5 bitcoin(BTC), then i would invest 5 bitcoin, and then with my 3 bitcoin i would spend on buying games,stuff,money ing games,and ect.

No matter how many bitcoins I have, I will keep them until the price rises. The market is in a deplorable situation now, and no matter how many bitcoins you have - 1 or 13, you should not sell it.

13 bitcoins? Wow! I will become a millionaire once I have that. The best thing I will do is to hold the half of my bitcoins and turn into other investment. If i have 13 bitcoin i would sell them in seconds and would go to the altcoin market. All i would do find ICO's that at least reached the soft cap. As far as i know when ICO finished with at least soft capped and when it go to the exchanges the price would very low. For ex. FTT Farma Trust ICO reached the hard cap with more than $20 million and the ICO price was $0.05. Now if you check in the market the FTT price is 0.0025. So i would search and invest project like this one.
