It is an interesting twist, but... since "Ophion representatives will not
 be able to view this (Transactions) or help dispute (transactions) if you have
not provided them (Ophion) with a MultiSignature key".

Buyers are 100% at risk. Since, even if you are provided the MultiSignature key,
you would not know who the seller is.  Unless you can roll a transaction back???
 

When a buyer chooses to buy a product from a seller the buyer is presented with a dialog asking whether they want to send funds direct or create a 2 of 3 multisig address

1. Default cannot be changed is seller.
2. Default cannot be changed is buyer
3. Default is Ophion representative - This can be changed to someone else who both parties agree on though

The address is generated but no funds are transferred until all parties agree everyone who should have a key has a key - They can confirm via Ophion Private Messaging System. Unless its Ophion Representative. The buyer is at risk if he does not follow the recommended guidelines lined out above. If there is no problem the buyer can release the funds. If there is a problem the buyer can contact Ophion Representative if used. If Ophion Representative was not used the buy will have to contact the third key holder and explain the issues, this key holder can cancel the trade or release the funds.

The Seller and Buyer both have Pseudonyms or Nicknames, This is not anonymous, but you could register with MickyMouse1501 and no-one would know who you actually are. However like other markets out there, there is always an element of risk.

May I know why AES is used? With quantum computers and implementation of Shor's getting better, wouldnt it be better to use post-quantum crypto? It would offer you the biggest edge over bitcoins , although sha256 is still pretty resistant to shor

We will be utilizing OPH Assets instead of Bitcoin directly, We have chosen this for a specific purpose. Security and Anonymity.

Using OPH for payment will add an extra payment protection layer underneath Bitcoin which will increase the difficulty of tracing if not make it near impossible. The current Bitcoin system requires mixing to be nearly anonymous and that still is not guaranteed with taint analysis, this is already done with an asset based system especially when you can withdraw to Bitcoin via an exchange and then re-purchase.

We are hoping to be on exchanges shortly after release. Especially as this is a new technology if there is lots of interest you may see it on popular exchanges sooner than later.

Edit: I noticed another part of your question I have yet to answer.

During initial crowdsale we will be selling OPH Asset at a cheaper price than its prospective value when the network launches. Holding onto the OPH Asset you buy during the initial weeks of crowdsale will benefit you if you decide to sell on after crowdsale ends.

We have looked into many algorithms for this project and weighing up the pros and cons. We wanted an algorithm that would not slow the network down when loading public viewable products for sale, not too much anyway. We have gone for what we decided what a practical solution rather than something that was overkill or could compromise practicality of the network.

Our main aim is to keep our clients data and transactions safe and if there comes a point where this is no longer possible, then Ophion 2.0 will be released.

Just because you can be anonymous does not mean you need to partake in illegal activities. We do not condone any illegal activity on Ophion, these illegal activities that are not placed under hidden shops will be taken down without question. If Ophion representatives are able to see it and it's illegal then it will be taken down, but we can't do anything about hidden shops.

I'm not worried about any legal implications because of the simple fact that we don't condone those activities. Yet, it is not our fault that we can't do anything about them if they are done in hidden shops.

Think about it theoretically, if a doctor prescribed you some medication and you sold it, would the doctor be at fault? Even though he didn't know that's what you'd do? No.

No, but am sure that the very fact that you are allowing "hidden shops" to operate with the implied possibility of "illegal activities" is sufficient enough to drag you in a court of law by some judge somewhere.........

Hidden shops are for users that only want certain people to be able to buy from them and whatnot. Almost like an Invite only store or forum even. Ophion is a marketplace tool, if people use it for malicious activities we cannot be held responsible.

The fact that illegal activities can occur in these shops is not under our control, there's nothing we can do to prevent them and that's what I'm going to leave this conversation at.

You'd still need a good lawyer. I wouldn't want to be the guy who has to explain why you can't provide any data of users from your site.

Just trust me, we have all of this figured out. Legality issues of this area are not necessarily the business of Ophion's users. Meaning that we can handle ourselves while keeping Ophion's anonymity and security standards at an all time high.

We cant provide data from users of our site... as this is an encrypted decentralized application and not a website.

Sorry but if you are asking for money to fund your little enterprise and then you get locked up and the site goes down, it does make it directly the business of your users.

If you are asking for funds, then don't alienate your potential investors from the outset.

The silk road was explicitly meant for the exchange of illegal goods, we explicitly said that we do not allow or permit them to be sold in our shops that can be publicly viewed be Ophion Representatives. So no, I'm not worried about being incarcerated for crimes I am not going to commit. I am not making a marketplace for illegal goods and I am not planning on profiting off of it either, that is the reason why he got sent to jail.

Firstly, I do not know why people are making comparisons with silk road. I have had a full read of the whitepaper and can see where it _could_ be used illegally, But so can Ebay? I can see you can run hidden stores but not everyone wants to show the public what they have for sale if you only want a select group of people. A website userbase for example.

I create and sell some MMORPG Bots, I would not want these displayed publicly but would be happy to have the SSL Key sent to a community of people I trust. That way there is less chance in these bots being figured out and ban-able. I could also see the benefit from my point if I was going to sell a website or script to someone and only wanted them to see it.

This looks like a really good project and I will be following closely. Added to my watch list.

Ross Ulbricht made a "Website" that was ***intentionally*** made to sell illegal goods. The Ophion devs have stated that they will remove any illegal goods they see and do not condone this. I am sure this will be in their EULA.

It's not so much waiting as it is implementing all of our planned developments and making sure that everything is ready for when we are ready to launch. We don't plan on launching out half a project because that will just fail, we plan on launching something that will last a long time.

We certainly are, There is only going to be a finite amount of OPH available dependent on crowdsale, this is primarily why the crowdsale is 7 weeks long.
Unlike some platforms like ebay we cannot use multiple currencies so the only other way people can get involved without crowdsale is buying via an exchange, or buying straight from a seller who wants to sell their crowdsale.

This is why we predict the price of OPH will rocket when the market become popular. as people will be willing to pay a lot just to be part of it.

Also any wallet recommendations on storing these coins?

I wouldn't suggest storing with any secure application based wallet, Armory, Electrum, Multibit, Even Bitcoin core. Ophion works by storing metadata in a Bitcoin transaction op code.
You already have your address and private key on your account page, so as long as you keep that safe you will not lose your funds.

We will be releasing our own wallet on release, It will be part of the market client. I would suggest waiting for this as it will show your actual funds and not just 0 BTC. - to add to this a small unspendable btc transaction is sent when the asset is sent. So it will look like there is btc in that address, but it would be unspendable as it will actually just be assets.

We have already contacted these services and more and are awaiting a reply, Due to the way Ophion works some bespoke software may need to be developed to handle transactions on the exchange side of things. This is something we are currently looking into.

So, I was reading through the details of the service a little bit... and from what it looks like is that it is a more "anonymous-ready" version of ETH? Does OPHION allow for other payments to be used in the market place?  I'll read through some of the white paper in a little bit, but currently busy with some side projects of mine at the moment.

Waiting for this to get on an exchange is so stressing. We can either see the price would soar or stay steady. My expectations are high for this, it's innovation is on the edge of being gratifying.

It definitely seems profitable to get ophion now while the price is low seem like when it come so it for exchanges it's price will already be 60,000+ satoshi. This is what's needed when starting an ico.

I looked for a bit on the white paper and it doesn't really go into details about the coin itself?  Like how many of them will be in circulation? PoS vs. PoW? Or is it completely different?  ???

From what it looks like, that is the case.  I think it's using the same blockchain platform as ETH, but also making it it TOR/I2P/etc. ready for increased privacy in the market place for both the buyer and seller.

I think it's pretty cool though they it allows you the option on being a "public" or "private" store on the market place though... pretty neat.  :)

The whitepaper could maybe do with some more updates, I should get onto that this week.

Essentially its running on the Bitcoin Blockchain using Coloured Coins. All op code data in regard to product is encrypted as much as it can be (some of it cant be due to limitations) but that is not going to effect privacy.

The TOR/I2P/Socks support is for the initial client we will release, this allows you to connect to the network via a tor or i2p node masking your IP as a hosting node. That coupled with the AES-256 encryption enables even public transactions to be near impossible to decrypt.

Public stores are exactly what they are, Private stores ask for a little more information and take an extra confirmation on the network before they are set up. It requires CA signing key and private key of cert and will then provide you with a link. You need to give the generated certificate and the private link to another member using Ophion and they will be able to see your hidden store.

With certificates this is a manual process, Ophion will not do this for you. You can either self sign (which I highly suggest as its free) or buy one (which I see no point) But tutorials will be released on how to do this and there are already many on the web now.

This is not a new coin exactly, but an asset based on the bitcoin blockchain. There is currently 8,000,000 to be sold. Any that do not get sold will be sent to what is called an "impossible address", an address that is valid but would take thousands of years to find the private key to if not longer. The word burned was initially made by counterparty asset protocol I believe but means the same.

Because Ophion is asset based, there is no mining involved, the bitcoiners do the mining, we just piggy back of their strong network. so there is no need for special hardware or such, its a pure blockchain application.

No you are fine, You are right to ask questions.

The website is the portal for the Ophion ICO sale. nothing to do with Ophion Decentralized application. If the website went down the Ophion Decentralized network will keep running.

If you notice when you login to the website you are given 2 keys, a public (your address where your OPH will be sent to) and the private key to that address. Keep these safe.

In the next few days/to a week (I am currently ironing out some bugs) The assets you have bought from the site will be added to that address. This is your master Ophion address (of course if there are any problems we can help you rectify that)

Once the app is released it works exactly like bitcoin does but without the miners and has extra features such as the marketplace and encryption. Everytime you make a transaction on Ophion it is encoded into a bitcoin transaction. Which then also has to be confirmed before it will go through, You will have to wait for the bitcoin miner to find the bitcoin block.

As a user

You will open up the Ophion Network Application, It will connect to other nodes and then you are away to buy and sell, create listings, stores, hidden stores.

We have put as much security an anonymity into this as possible, but remember you need to do your part also, There is no point being anonymous online, buying some graphics card and then giving your home address away.

First I saw your signature contest thread, then I saw you signature campaign thread. After finishing reading this thread my opinion is that some serious team is behind this coin. I also joined the site and purchased 33 ophion coins ( for now ). I have a good feeling about all this and you will have my support.

I have decided to buy some ophion early. This is a very unique way to distribute them but one that I certainly welcome. I currently decided to buy 10 ophion mostly as a test amount might buy some later down the road.

When I buy ophion it tells me to save the transaction id. Is there a reason behind it like it's not manual and we have to contact you with that transaction id?

So, in essence, you can log back in to your account with the mnemonic seed only if you needed too, but also write down your private keys and such just in case?

Also, it seems privacy is a big concern here... Can anyone run nodes to ensure decentralization? Also, what do we do with ophion coins exactly? Do we only purchase stuff on the market place with those coins, or maybe can we use that and bitcoin/other altcoins as well? I'd personally like to use monero for the extra privacy on top of TOR.

The public/private key pair on your account page will hold your OPH just like on bitcoin, as you see it is also a valid bitcoin address because it runs on the bitcoin network. Once I have ironed out some bugs we will distribute the funds accordingly to these addresses, whoever has purchased and how much. Which you will then be able to view in the Ophion Market Client when released (Late August/Early September) and on our block explorer which will be released in the coming weeks.

I did buy some OPHION 2 days ago since the price will only go up from here. The project seems interesting since they did everything right so far:
- No anonymous holders
- Transparency towards how the funds are spent.
- Innovation with a true potential

The growth of the coin lies in the fact how accessible it is to others. So it would be good (mandatory) to include a date where the coin will hit the exchanges.
Only if the masses can get to it only then there will be volume.

The price of Ophion will be whatever the demand for Ophion sets it at. Which most likely will be much more than the price of the ICO due to the fact that Ophion is more than an asset, it's a decentralized marketplace backed behind an asset. The demand will be much higher because people will want to trade/buy/sell items on the marketplace, so they'll need Ophion in order to do so.

You got me excited already. The overall scope of the project is good. And news is running the succes of altcoin these days. Next to delivering on promises and the execution of the roadmap offcourse. I hope to have found a new good asset.

That's sound ambitious but demand will not just pop up. Do you plan to make the coin more attractive by some promotions or creating a demand for Ophion. Without marketing the coin will be just like another coin. Remember a decentralized market is something other coins; bitbay and stellar f.e. also offer.

Bitbay and stellar are not comparable. They do not have the anonymity and security features that Ophion is offering. Store and Hidden Store creation, Encryption. The fact we are also limiting circulation to what is sold in crowdsale will also make Ophion a rare commodity. People will want to use this, There is a place in the market for what Ophion is offering. We do not plan to be a breakthrough cryptocurrency, we are here to serve a purpose and because we will be serving that purpose very well OPH will be a very sought after asset.

That would be true as long as there are enough sellers and buyers that is running your program though, from what it seems like.  I still like the idea of a program like this that is a decentralized anonymous market place, but the only thing I'm not so sure will go over well with people is the fact that you force people to use the Ophion currency instead of allowing any currency to be used in the market place.  I understand that gives value to this asset, but at the same time, if you only have 100 people or so that buy Ophion coins, then those people can hold them for speculation without knowing that they would ever want to use them on the actual network... It just doesn't seem necessary to force people to use this coin that is backed on Bitcoin, which is not truly anonymous in the first place...

We are utilizing the OPH asset in order to gain funding for the development of the Platform and Project. Otherwise, we wouldn't have anything to give to those that donated, they'd just be throwing money at the project without anything in return. Also, we utilize OPH so that the project and our planned escrowing service on the platform will be a lot easier to manage. If we utilized any coin that people wanted to use then escrowing would be a nightmare, keeping nodes for every and any possible coin that people could use along with managing keys would be horrible.

The people that buy into Ophion will be able to gain value and do what they want with their coins, it's a crowdsale. Since they got here and trusted in the project during the developmental stage they should be rewarded. If 2,000,000 OPH is sold and it turns out 1,000,000 of it is being held by speculators, what would be the problem? That just means the value would be up until they stopped holding on. That's the simplicity of a market economy; think of the current world diamond supply. You do realize 90% of the diamonds are being held onto in order to manipulate the current price to stay at it's relatively high price point. That's the same with Ophion, we can't do anything about that... it's just how it works.

Some other people have had serious problems with yobit. They make a deposit and it doesn't come i t their account or the withdrawal doesn't work. So then you contact their support but get no reply. Then u make a scam accusation against them and only then they will reply, this is not a good support for a coin like this.

I agree that Yobit and Cryptopia should be considered only aa last resort. If Poloniex fails, next in line would be Bittrex and C-Cex.
Since poloniex is quite picky on the coins they list, it would be good to approach other exchanges as well. Remember most will be hesistant  because it's new and in a wy theyir are right.
First create a demand and volumen and believe me they will be in line to list you (same like Ethereum)

Please take in consideration my feedback regarding the exchanges. Most of them are picky, and having a reliable exchange like poloniex or bittrex host your coin says all about how 'serious' you guys are about marketing etc.

I can do a nice blog review on my coin blog for a small bounty, I will also partake in the ICO as I see this to be a nice, clean project and want to give it a go, I also have many followers on twitter and fb.  :)

Let me add to this. More exchanges would be better then just 1. So the more the better.

Problem which every new coins endures is the fact that there is no demand for the coin. Nor does the economy's eco-system work.
To set this in motion
- Make sure to have some faucets (i can be of help if needed)
- Arrange some giveaways for listed and sold items
- Social media promotin
- Initiate project Valkry as a plan B

So, I think that is not good put of ophion there and the best choice is poloniex.
but it is still live the ico for 7 weeks, we expected this is the best for the future.

Thing is, Yobit will list ophion either way. OPHION Being listed just at Yobit (yes i bought some in the ICO), is PR executed badly in my opionion.

The only way to make OPHION a success is to combine both the distribution (ICO) with marketing (awareness for and creating demand for OPHION) and controlling supply for OPHION .

I agree with you the only way to make ophion a success is to the ICO and Marketing, may be is good option to promotion on twitter or facebook.

Your account will be active even after ICO ends, just so you can see your details. It is always worth keeping a personal backup of your information in any case as general security policy.

Coins or assets are not stored in a wallet but rather in an address/private key which you have on your account, where you store that public/private key is up to you.

http://www.counterwallet.io is an already made solution (We will be bringing our own out in the near future).

No addresses have assets yet, this is my next task on the to-do list and should be done in the next couple of days. (Trust me, I have a mountain of work to do). But this is priority now as people can trade with XCP.

There is no real minimum. There is certain amounts that would make the project run smoother though.

I think you would have better ICO result if you presented the rest of the team that's working on OPHION.

The Team is transparent, there is currently 2 of us, Me, Sebastian Bates and David Ladner, We have graphics guy who sometimes does some freelance for us but he is not really part of the team. Just a freelancer.

We will soon be looking for another c++/QT Dev apart from me, although im primary a web dev I do delve into application development as a hobby, but we are not at this stage yet due to funds, I know a few from work who would love to work on this project so maybe can get a discount there.

Ophion Counterparty Move - 15/05/2016 - Sebastian Bates
 
On 15/05/2016 I, Sebastian Bates decided to move from Coloured Coins to Counterparty.io API for a number of reasons.
These reasons were to benefit the development and direction of Ophion, Increase development speed and to focus on an API that has a solid background that I could integrate easier with C++.
 
Counterparty has proven it is a good system and also allows simple connection to the Ethereum network, This is a major step forward, we can eventually branch onto Ethereum if we needed to and it gives us another option.
 
However, The most important reason why I, Sebastian made this decision was that it allowed our user base to start trading almost instantaneously between each other and build an economy before exchange is announced.
 
Now as of 17/05/2016 we have been in contact with a number of popular exchanges. 2 of which are wanting to back us but are also looking for exclusivity if this is the case, I am trying to work around this now.
But talks are looking very promising and we are hoping to be on an exchange the exact day of release in August or September.
 
I hope people understand why I, Sebastian made these decisions, but feel free to ask me any questions.

I wouldn't say fighting, we certainly have one more interested than the other and they are both unaware of who eachother are (I think they probably guessed) but they are both wanting exclusivity if we were to accept a deal. that is their condition one. Which I'm not too happy about this moment.

It would mean we are on an exchange on day one, but it would also mean that would be the only exchange. I know people have their preferential exchanges and if we were to leave it and get community based support, maybe we could be on many exchanges and it would work out better.

The demand at launch will price and the aggressive price increase is to give early investors a great value. Although there is still major potential for those who invest in any of the weeks to get a great value out of Ophion.

The price does really rise each week due to the ICO, and it depends on the demand of the coin. Our trading platform should be really inviting since there is not currently one out there, so I personally believe that the price should rise.

Even though I love the effort put forth by the devs, I still remain optimistically skeptical about the whole thing.  Bitcoin has been proven to not be the least bit anonymous and getting more and more easier to track by governing authorities, as you can see from Coindesk's recent article, "New York police win FinCEN award for Bitcoin investigations (http://www.coindesk.com/new-york-police-win-fincen-award-bitcoin-investigation/)" ... I just don't see why you should run on the backbone of something that has been proven to reveal identities of people time and time again.  But I like the initiative to start the trial runs of something like this.

I'm fascinated by what you have to say and in the process have asked myself a lot of questions and you are right... very right in fact.

We have yet to start full development, so ideas can evolve and we can change some aspects to the whitepaper whilst keeping an asset/coin system and adhering to what has been bought in ICO so far so the same value applies to the new system.

I want ideas from people here as full development is going to start very soon.

Bitcoin was made to be open and provable, but does that have to be the case with this?
We have a number of obstacles to overcome.

a. If we Don't use the Bitcoin network or another network, we would need our own. This would require a system to prove transactions and keep the network running. Maybe some PoW CPU based.
b. Would we need to show transaction db (blockchain), as long as our network could read it, it could be encrypted and only show address -> address transactions.

We could make this a lot more secure if we were to use our own codebase, it would just take longer development... It would satisfy me as I have built the network I have always dreamed off. We could keep the same features and even add more. We wouldn't need to rely on third party API's like counterparty or third party networks.

Please everyone let me know what you think, we could do this from scratch, As for development time I couldn't tell you right now, I would need to hire more developers. But I am happy to.

Please let me know people, do you want to continue with Bitcoin/API approach? or create our own secure network?

Well... I do think it would be in good interest for the security of the network to be reliant on it's own backbone.  I understand why you would want to be on Bitcoin's large and prominent network for the sake of not having to worry about getting people to run nodes and mine, but again, the aspect of remaining anonymous is another thing. 

So while you can start developing your own code from scratch, you have to understand the implications of what this would/could do to what you already have in place... if you are considering having a PoW network, then obviously this crowdsale seems a little bit silly if you want to attract people to point there miners over this way.  BUT, you might want to consider trying to see if you can implement a way to run the code through one of the more popular cryptonote coins... Monero, Dash, etc. ...

Now, in terms of cryptonote coins, I have more trust in Monero personally because Dash relies on masternodes, which could significantly reduce the security & reliability of the network for multiple reasons and also Monero has a pretty active dev team working on leading edge stuff such as RingCT. But that's just how I view things... I think the community should definitely take part on what they/we want in their network.

Regardless it's a tough decision, but I would highly suggest doing something different in terms of relying on Bitcoin's blockchain.

My guess would be option 1. With software you will see many things that are developed needs fine-tuning. This hidden markets feature is something genius. Let's see how that will play out.

I wouldn't want to put people off though when as Chennan has said, there is a lot of investigation into Bitcoin, especially because of its publicity, maybe we could be realistic, work the same method but with a coin like Monero. I could get speaking to the Monero devs about introducing some form of asseting on their chain.

We just want to do what is right for the community and the project, I don't want to create some half-assed project that will die in 5 months time because we didn't put enough resources or thought into the development process.

But as investors wouldn't you be more attracted to a cutting edge environment made with the sole purpose of it being the next big thing? I would.

Honestly, that is another reason why I mentioned Monero because I got that vibe from you... the monero community funds the work of devs for all kinds of tasks and projects (which most of the time the devs are seriously underfunded for the work they do)... even though I never post on their pages much, I do love watching the community grow and they have a passion for making everything just right before they release anything out into the wilderness.  You should definitely probably talk to some of them on IRC for some ideas/help on the matter at #monero ... or better yet #moner-dev ... seems like they are always lurking around on there.

The above seems like a good solution for the 'problem'. Being that the ICO will give us a head start to so we can survive. I do think that just features are not the key to succes.
To make it an succes you need to assign someone for marketing tasks with some budget.

Most of the coins I've seen die a slow death because of lack of marketing while their developers are doing their utmost best to develop and develop.

Sorry to interrupt but feel that some steps are skipped or forgotten. In the ICO phase it should be clear what you invest (buy into). It seems to me that all in a matter of a 5-10 replies, the complete project has changed? Perhaps the dev. can elaborate this

Nothing has changed apart from the network we are using. In fact if anything it will work better and more secure.

You are buying into the same market with the same goals and features. There will be no apparent different to the end user.

Ok, this may be a stupid question, but: Do you have to rely on a single blockchain? Does it have to be Monero OR Dash? Can't it be both or even more, somehow, maybe even just as a backup? Or people may choose which blockchain to use (with one being the default, obviously)? I'm sorry, I'm utterly uninformed when it comes to stuff like that, maybe it really is just a dumb question.

Small, but active community and dedicated dev, coin has been around and alive for years now, TOR and I2P implementation, multialgo PoW, makes for a reliable network. Take a look :) (I am obviously biased here, but still…)

I've bought into DogecoinDark before the name change and yes their developer is one of the best. Active and talented. He has build features like it is nothing. I tip my hat for him.
But the problem is that most DEV are focused on their main thing IT. Which makes it hard for a coin to grow since you don't have marketing going on. Luckily the team of Ophion is bigger, but with some good motivation of the community manager, the community can become very active.

Honestly, I'm going to have to disagree I think... If you advertise a car to go 250 mph at 100 miles per gallon and put nice rims and a paint job on it, yeah you might get some folks interested in your product only for a limited time and consequently to be left disappointed if they end up "riding" said car.  You need to get the engine under the hood souped up and ready to go before you can market and use it to it's full extent.

Coins get around this by adding in "speculative hype" and seem to be "successful" in the short term of things, only to end up fading away by people hearing about another coin people are highly speculating on.  It's funny that people don't understand that when Bitcoin was just getting started, people were wayyy more focused on the code and stuff that was "under the hood" to get everything they wanted out of the coin right before they go about spreading the word amongst their friends and family.

I tried to make it clear that i am heavily biased when it comes to Verge. It is the coin that brought me into altcoins, actually. That being said, I wanted to point the Ophion guys towards Verge, because they may see something in it, what they are looking for, and sometimes, the "smaller " projects are more approachable and more adaptable than the bigger ones. I think, Verge has proven time and again to be a good and stable project, that is, at least in my eyes, heavily undervalued.
I think the Ophion team is smart and informed enough to make their own decisions, and maybe, just maybe, Verge is actually what they are looking for.

Both are important. With a inferior product you will lose the 'battle', but without marketing, nobody will 'buy' your product. It's key to find a good balance.
Question is however, how can you achieve this?

Marketing is needed to support and to introduce to poeple, but I think that features is very important to success too
if have good a features and good marketing, it a great for the futures.

Both are important and both will be address with the utmost urgency, especially community and marketing for now.

The feature set is fantastic, we are bringing features never brought before to crypto-currencies. This will be a breakthrough and on the monero network.

thank you for the compliments guys. i like the idea of a decentralized market, and will keep my eyes on ophion.. it's something that is needed, and i dont think anyone has made one yet that is actually privacy focused, which is just as important as decentralization in my opinion. i am aware of 2 other decentralized markets, but they are running on clearnet and offer no user privacy.

What would you have us do at this stage? We are trying to make a fantastic project with the help of the community, but its not always that easy.

There may be some stuff that seems out of place regarding features, like multi-sig, but that is because its based on Bitcoin and we are now moving to monero, structures will have to change. We will have to update the website and whitepaper and this takes time. Its almost a re-design and all the work is included as well as our full time jobs.

I think there is an error in the live statistics, please look at it.

That was an error from yesterday. The algorithm we setup to determine how much OPH was given per amount of btc was turned around so it gave more than it should have. We were notified of it yesterday in forum and were able to catch it before we lost too much.

We lost no more than 2100 OPH due to the error, so we decided to let the three people who profited from the bug keep it.

I can't for some reason login to my OPHION BACKOFFICE.. I tried every password I use and every username but can't login and  I purchased the last day of the first wave ICO price. Yesterday I logged in fine but for some reason today the login isn't in my chrome history so am stuck..I saved that long passphrase thingy but no idea now how can I login? Can i send you my btc text i.d s you can view the transaction and help me get my account back?  :'(

I now managed to login one account but it shows no history of my purchase..

I`m nicely surprised with OP. First he let some people to keep 2100 coins, and after this fast help I can say that I have even more faith in this coin, and people behind it. I purchased some coins in first week, but now I think I will buy more.

I'm confused... So when trying to purchase some OPH for a test run it brought me to the screen where they have the public address to send bitcoins and showed the QR code with it, and when I went to scan it was a completely different address... any reason as to why?

Instead of storing the address in a variable I was calling the function twice; so two different addresses.

Wouldn't have made a difference, payment would have still went through to your account.

As for your other claims, I made a keybase.io account because I thought it a public key was needed for bitcoin, which I only started using a few months back. When creating this account it asked me to create other accounts like twitter/github which I never had before. These are all new.

The project is still heading the same direction even if I need to educate myself with monero a bit, it will be the same project. I am curently looking into creating payment ID manually in monero to add tx_extra 32 byte. The project is going ahead, Developers will be invested, It seems we may have hired 2 today, people I Know also so work can start quick and we have a third possible intern starting.

Send the header (the WHOLE email including what smtp server it was sent from) there are ways to do tests to see if this email is actually doctored by you then or see if its real and send the file we can look at it, there are ways to disassemble things or get signatures from them. Due to legendary idiot member Hueristic (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=198573), We are having a hard time continuing developement or getting interested parties involved with development. We have now just lost one of the exchanges because of his messages. He is ruining what Ophion could be for you.

Ophion is to be developed by 2 people I know well and have worked with (Still in discussion about payment) But our communication is good. We can continue this project but I really dont know how much we can make from it now as a bit of fud like this can turn people off.

Hueristic is throwing accusation at everyone and everything and lying himself to make our project look bad. We dont know what his problem is. We have no other choice but to stop the project. We are unable to fully pay everyone back due to the fact we have used funds for Marketing (Community Manager, Sig Campaign), Servers, Developers, Translators and more. But we can pay back what we can.

If you are out of pocket, This is Hueristic's fault, not ours. we only wanted to make a good project for the community, but I guess that is not possible with such trolls. I am out of pocket myself also.
