Title: Will you stay in crypto if BTC does not recover?
Post by: mike4001 on April 05, 2018, 07:36:45 AM
Hi,

Just wondering if you guys will stay in crypto (aka hold or sell your BTC holdings) if the price does not recover.

Lets say we are still around 6k-7k by December 2018 => Will you wait it out or give up and say "OK, we had a nice ride but we are not going up again"?

What about if in 2019 price is still hovering around 6k-7k and there is no sign of recovery to 10k+ (or even a new ATH)

I will stay in the crypto community even if the bitcoin price goes under 1000 USD.
I`m not sure that the term "recover" is the right word that describes the situation. The BTC price is where it is.Bitcoin (or the blockchain) isn`t damaged or destroyed,so it`s doesn`t have to "recover".
All the "easy profit" seeking traders and investors will lose their money and they will just leave the crypto community, which might be something good for all the real crypto supporters.

$6-7000 is really a huge amount for bitcoin and i guess thats what it must be,bitcoin is only currency but it seems like its more expensive than gold so why would this needed to grow more than that?maybe this price is enough and if theres a chance for this to grow higher maybe it will happen if many investors will bet on this and bring this to moon again.

Why would I give up? What's good for those who bought during early days and has kept some of bitcoins including me, there's no need to give up. I have profited enough and I'm good even how many years it takes to stay at $6,000-$7,000.
What about if in 2019 price is still hovering around 6k-7k and there is no sign of recovery to 10k+ (or even a new ATH)
It's fine, bitcoin is volatile so we have to accept that but it always surprises us so don't think negatively.

Of course I will stay. 6k-7k is still a small dollar mountain for every bitcoin and it's 10-25x from the values when I start buying.

There are plenty of opportunities to make money even now.

In both of those situations I will hold my bitcoin along with bunch of other altcoins and will keep purchasing more at discounted price. I am happy with everyday price swing which will never change regardless of price per bitcoin so atleast I will keep making some money with day trading on those days too.

So no I will not get out of crypto even if price will never recover from current downtrend.

I've decided to stick to bitcoin whether the whole crypto market doesn't recover. Nowadays, most of the investors aren't thinking correctly. They are not investing for the technology and supporting it but they are only thinking about the profit. Yes, we are investing for the profit but the main reason why early investors bought bitcoin is to support the tech, the digital money/crypto era. But time flies so fast and it's now considered as an investment so they are thinking if it don't recover, they give up.

It's insane how people go nuts over something that is completely normal. People for some reason think Bitcoin should be hovering around $30,000 levels after everything that happened last year, while they completely ignore the fact that such levels don't even remotely mirror Bitcoin's utility value at this point in time. The price doesn't need to recover. The price needs to adjust itself to levels the market can comfortably maintain them. If we need to fall down further, even below the $6000 level, then so be it. Bitcoin didn't make a mega jump forward justifying such a significant increase in price. Price in January 2017 ~$1000. Price in January 2018 +$15,000. Does that sound reasonable or maintainable? Definitely not to me.

I know it's easy speaking for the more long term holders, but people should cut the market some slack. It's impossible for the market to keep up current levels with how many coins are being thrown into the market. The poor liquidity on exchanges just can't cope with the fierce selling pressure. On the other hand, these sales are great for the market in the long term. The higher levels gave old hands more incentive to unload their coins, making sure that at a far later point, they won't be forming that much of an obstacle anymore. The long term is what people should focus on. Collect bread crumbs right now, or stack loaves of bread later on. I go for the latter.

I will be holding my Bitcoins until the world is ready for it :) Kiddin' of course but I believe in the future maybe in 5 to 10 years we will start to price goods or services in cryptocurrencies. For ex. if a tshirt costs 0.0001BTC today, it will cost same 5 days later... So, HODL as much as you can...

well, this is simply impossible but i really hope some version of this actually happens for bitcoin.
because we are in dire need of a real flush out to get all the idiots who came in bitcoin last year out of the market. all the people who don't even know what bitcoin is! if  you ask them they will tell you "bitcoin is a magical thing that will make you rich over night" they don't even understand what a decentralized currency with a limited supply means!

if we see an stable phase they will get the hell out and we can continue with bitcoin on the same upward path until they run back to it at a much higher price.

There's so many reasons to stay and continue the journey in the crypto world. If this will not go up it doesn't mean that it already dead. The price can not recover in just a little rebound as this will take a long process to make a good rally. Be patient, it's good to be optimistic in this situation.

There are many things that could change our daily routine in cryptocurrency. Whatever price could stay even it does not recover I will stay and support bitcoin. Why? Because it has proven that bitcoin can provide earnings by investing in it, and also good to have or stay as features applicable to all users.

If you're only buying Bitcoin for the price going up and not when it goes down, you've bought it for the wrong reasons.

All the wrong reasons. In fact you are part of the problem.

Go rethink your life.

What ever happen to the price of bitcoin I really think I would stay but if it falls down to zero that will be the time to quit, But bitcoin will still be bitcoin even with a three digit value, There are still other choices that I think will start a good pump for other Altcoins, But still even if there are just a small price for bitcoin I think we can still earn, trade and invest with it.

The price will recover. It's just a question of time.
However let's assume it wouldn't recover. Well there wouldn't be any reason to stay as the whole crypto space would collapse in a matter of weeks.
Without Bitcoin being replaced or surpassed by any other crypto coin the whole space can not survive. So if the number one would go down, due to lack of faith and future progress all the other coins will have no chance as well. Simple is that.

nobody can deny that they are liking the price rise that bitcoin has and we have all bought, earned and held bitcoin at least partly because of the price rise. there is no doubt in that. but if anybody had this as their only reason to have bitcoin then they don't really know what they have. they might as well own some rocks and call them bitcoin and trade those! and such people shouldn't even "stay in bitcoin"!

This is not making sense. Where will you find a "thing" that worth $6k to $7k a piece***?

Just imagined, I started at $200+ price level where $1,000 is just a dream price and now look at the current price. And even that will happened, expect that there are price swings on the process and will not just stay on the price level like that.

Why should I left in the first place with that value? Those newbies that enter the game on 2017 was used to experienced always a price increase that's why in the event that a price crash will happened, all their expectations wrecked due to lack of knowledge about how price behaves.

Are you all-in into crypto? Did you put all your money into it, even the one to pay bills in the next six months?

If so, you have to decrease your exposure. If not, theres no reason to despair.

Understand that it is necessary we go down. We need better holders in crypto, people who are more careful and dont do things while in panic.

People who didnt join the FOMO train back in November and December will now buy bitcoin. They regarded it as too much expensive, and the rise was too steep. Since they are more careful and fearful for their money, they didnt join in, considering it too much risky.

Now we have a 70% fall, and we have confirmation of the heights bitcoin can achieve. A 90% fall will give certainty of a recovery, even if takes some months. So these people, who are more careful with their investments, will fill in, and the permabears will be rekt when trying to shorting it down to three-digits, which is their real target.

With more careful holders, bitcoin will have a more smooth rise, without too much of those spikes of panic buying.

I'll stay in bitcoin, this is a very risky market and this market just whoever hold for a year or hold for more than a year gets profits. see that last year the price reached $4000 and fell to $3200 and some people said that was the end, but in the same year we reached the price of more than $19,000.

be patient to make good profits

What about if in 2019 price is still hovering around 6k-7k and there is no sign of recovery to 10k+ (or even a new ATH)

humm... is a risk that we are exposed, but bitcoin has a limited supply and if many people buy bitcoin, then the price may go up.

Of course I would gladly stay in Bitcoin even if its price does go up like it used to be before. Even if it has smaller value this year, what I gained from it on the previous years was already enough for to stay for I already gained a lot and have really nothing to lose.

Price is a weak reason to stay or leave bitcoin. If you are just here because of the price of bitcoin, better get out soon because you can be disappointed and heart broken every time the price takes a dip.

I am here because of the technology behind bitcoin and other crypto. I believe it is a good innovation and will stay here even if the price stays stagnant or takes a dip.

There are still so many unsolved problems around crypto. We need to solve these issues and give time for bitcoin and other blockchain related projects, protocols, platforms etc to develop so that we can actually do something with them and so that they actually give some value to the world. It won't happen overnight. Give it 5-10 years to develop and these things will either be worth zero or they are everywhere thus their valuations are way higher than we can even imagine. That's why my investment horizon is 5 years minimum. It depends on how fast the tech improves, visions are executed, mass adoption occurs etc

It may be bad news for people who bought bitcoin at a higher price and are expecting for it to go higher so that they can have profit but for those who were able to get in early, it is not that bad news for me as I am still in profit. I am with bitcoin since 2016 when the price is still below $500 so the price of 6k-7k is still high for me.

What about if in 2019 price is still hovering around 6k-7k and there is no sign of recovery to 10k+ (or even a new ATH)
It may still be hovering around that price during that time but surely there would be ups and downs to the price which means there is still an opportunity to profit. There is where the importance of knowing how to trade enters because even if bitcoin do not go up just like what happen last december, there is still an opportunity to earn. Some businesses may even consider of adopting bitcoin as payment option because price is not that volatile anymore.

As long as bitcoin does not lose it's value, I have no reason to go away from bitcoin. If bitcoin stay in the same price for a long time it ia not mean that is the end of bitcoin.

I can't call buying bitcoin an investment. We are accustomed to the fact that the price of bitcoin is constantly increasing and began to treat bitcoin as an investment. But it is wrong. The main task of bitcoin is to become a currency. I will use bitcoin at any price. I am sure that cryptocurrencies will always give an opportunity to get income. But the ways will change.

I will stay in crypto until wait for the price to recover, because i'm sure this kind of situation will not happen forever on bitcoin.
Everyone may think the same, that what happens to bitcoin values today is something reasonable in the krypto world, unless bitcoin values fall to zero, me and everyone will stop using bitcoin, because automatically bitcoin is no longer worth it.
But that will never happen, if there are still many users who believe that bitcoin is a very profitable investment tool.

$10K? Recovery? Those levels aren't even the 'normal' price levels of bitcoin IMO. Surely I'd stay, just like in 2014-2015 where everything hints to be the death of bitcoin. If you are a true enthusiast who wants the project to succeed regardless of bitcoin's price, you wouldn't even think of leaving completely and still want to get involved. On the investors' side of things, it might be impractical to stay at a stale investment and move on to new prospects that could easily bring in some serious cash, or accumulate while everyone thinks it's a dead coin and intentionally push the price once the doubt wears off.

I will stay in crypto by holding ETH, Bitwhite, TokenGO and others.
to me, this time it is best to make additional investments
before market re-stabilization comes with the return of investors' interest
from hard-core buyers to make a price reversal with the highest momentum
to bind major cryptocurrency to inflationary prices.

although, there is a doubt after witnessing the lost interest by the buyer physical fact
and give resulting in a parallel fall in the cryptocurrency index
but I still hold on to the target to stay in crypto

I would not be surprised at all if prices are still this low by the end of the year.

Bitcoin will recover, eventually. There will be people who sell out earlier because they get impatient on waiting for that. I believe in bitcoin as a long term monetary store of value, and I'd rather hold bitcoin for the long term than government issued fiat, which is why I have no problems with holding bitcoin for as long as it takes for the next bull market to get under way or even indefinitely.

But, as I've said, nobody really expects bitcoin to start its recovery this year. This year is going to be bearish in general and probably isn't going to be that great for short term traders that are going long on BTC. That's why I said if bitcoin stays at below $7000 by the end of the year, or even next year, I wouldn't be surprised and I'm fully prepared to hold it through. That's the right attitude towards investing in bitcoin, i believe.

Yup, I will.

I have never found the same good opportunity the crypto's / bitcoin is offering. Stock markets are good but their values aren't soaring quickly unlike crypto's but the risk is there, it can also be dumped quickly.

for people who looking for technology i believe they will stay and stick with it no matter what.
because they know it is our future and we can not deny the fact that we need it to help us doing our activity in the future.
but for people who want to make a quick money,i do not think so.
just look at it when we were moving toward $19.000 a few months ago,and afterward the price went down significantly.
it was because of those people who wanted to make a quick money.
personally i will stick with it even though the price go down to around $3000 in the future.
(if the price go down to that level,i am not really sure about miners.because they will not get any profit from their mining hardware and surely they will switch it to another one)

Hi,

Just wondering if you guys will stay in crypto (aka hold or sell your BTC holdings) if the price does not recover.

Lets say we are still around 6k-7k by December 2018 => Will you wait it out or give up and say "OK, we had a nice ride but we are not going up again"?

What about if in 2019 is still hovering around 6k-7k and there is no sign of recovery to 10k+ (or even a new ATH)
Actually, the price of bitcoin today it seems to good already. I know exactly people getting worries when they saw btc price fall down cause they might thinking of crypto will collapsed. Market price is still moving, even though we have no chances of moving high just like of what happen last December but still I'll stay in here. I am definitely satisfied with the price even it will stabilize between $6k-$7k, atleast we are still earning.

it is unlikely that the price of cryptocurrency does not recover the price for sure the price will rebound and back upwards because I think the bitcoin price of the movement is only up and down and in view of the long scale or long term the condition of bitcoin is now experiencing a very severe decline which means it will be easy to return do a bounce back upwards.

yes of course because I believe if bitcoin will experience a price recovery and I really do not believe if bitcoin can not make a price recovery, it all needs a process to be done to be able to do bitcoin price recovery, do not be afraid of the current bitcoin price conditions will definitely return up.

Do not count your chickens until they hatch, sir! although the price is still visible below as it is now, I will still believe in cryptocurrency. anything can happen in the crypto world. I am sure with its many positive news and market pump assistance, the price will again increase again. the $ 10,000 figure will be translucent in the near term, if that number can break, then we will start move on up to the next level. I do not think that far, 2019 is still long, now people just focus to improve performance in 2018 alone.

If bitcoin price will not recover, I can't do anything else than to wait. Or maybe just give up in bitcoin. Just like what you've said, it is not recovering and it is possible like what is happening right now. Maybe I just need more patient right now and wait for the price of bitcoin to recover again, maybe a year? LOL! hopefully, it will recover soon.

It is unfortunate to stop in the crypto world especially for bitcoin, there is no problem with the reduction of bitcoin prices at the moment, I can still get a profit though a very sharp drop is not a reason to stop, believe that any amount of bitcoin reduction can still be profitable, especially if we patiently waiting to reach the peak of the very lucky price for those who patiently restrained themselves.

You bring an interesting question, many people think that the price will recover very soon however we need to ask ourselves difficult questions like those, am I still going to hold no matter what for years? And I do not have any doubt about my answer, and my answer is yes, I'm willing to hold no matter how long it takes to see my investment growing since I am not willing to lose money for lack of patience.

it seems like I will continue in the crypto and hold my coins. indeed the price now looks very complicated, but I think you also have to stay in the crypto. if we break the $ 9000 price, it is likely that the price will continue to rise again. Strong reason why I keep holding, because the situation that Basket case will end in the near future.

Keep optimistic at this case, actually, a lot of people have bought BTC at high price and they don't have a way to cut loss. As you can see at the picture below, i hope you can find out the rules of Bitcoin value - which not have any rules :

Although, bitcoin will not recover this time, I would still go here and do bitcoin no matter what, I started with just earning a couple of dollar and the rate now is too far compare to the past years and it gave me a lot of opportunity to save and to invest, so it will be also an opportunity for me to do bitcoin no matter what the price it has right now and tomorrow.

Finally someone had courage to ask this question  ;D I am gonna say YES, yes with my all heart. I never thought crypto as "get rick quick scheme" when I first invested. I considered it as new alternative digital that may help me for tax evades, anonymity (small kinds), fast money transfer overseas etc. I will keep supporting it.

First, I know that bitcoin will gonna recover, it had recovered so many times so I don't need to explain why, those who are still in doubt about it are the person who don't know in their heart the history of bitcoin how others had change their life because of this and how it creates impact to the society.

If you look at what happened last year and what is happening now you will understand that the current price wish many are now looking at it as a dip or dump or bearish market is still at the overbought area in the mind of the professionals traders. Bitcoin we forecast by most professionals that the high bitcoin can go is $4,800 in 2017 but it went to around $19,000 therefore whatever is happening now should be seeing as a building up stop to go above $20,000.

but nevertheless the difference between $ 20,000 for Bitcoin and $ 6,500 for Bitcoin is very huge. I'm not even trying to imagine how today the guys who invested their money immediately after reaching Bitcoin's maximum of 19,000 dollars feel themselves. For them, today's price is a real disaster.

Lol. so are you only depending on bitcoin? come on dude , theres still a whole lot of coins out there that we can use as an alternative next to bitcoin if ever bitcoin doesnt recover anymore.  besides there is still many ways of earning a profit not just by investing or trading in bitcoin but also by doing some micro task here in the forum such as bounty ,signature , social media , campaigns , etc.  We can still do earn in bitcoin even if the value of it wont increase anymore.

That's good enough, staying in $6k-$7k in 1 year,it's like 2016 all over again.Long term holder can endure 3 years of holding investment,so yeah of course i will stay. You know right, invest money that you can afford to lose,so no lose for me.But i hope we can reach new ATH again this year.

That is just the best adage for situations like this. Left for some, they would actually want bitcoin to hit a huge amount within a very short period of time without having to wait much. Well, for anyone who even wants to invest in anything, the first thing they should always consider is both the dark and good moment.

The fact that everything looks dark now does not mean there is light at the end of the tunnel, and the fact that we are not making any moves in terms of bullish activities now does not mean we would not, there is a lot going on and all that is required is patience, and whichever way, it is the future that counts and even if we remain stable, that still changes nothing at least for me.

First, there is no market that does not recover unless it is dead, but the timing is one thing that may not play out as some may want it. The truth here is that even market has its own time and those who waited for long since inception are enjoying now because they only looked forward to the future instead of the present moment.

Even if we just remain stable, the main usage of bitcoin for what it is will remain and isn't that all that mattered in the first place before we started getting greedy?

That is right, and we all know that bitcoin is not a shitcoin it already proves enough, although the price is dropping we are still not losing our hope for us to remove our fate here, as we know it will gonna recover also soon, we just have to keep holding and wait for the perfect time.

Bitcoin failing to recover is not so much of a concrete reason to leave the world of crypto, besides this failed recovery process is temporary.

For your information crypto is not only based on a payment system it can also be used to store our personal info on the blockchain that can be secure as compared to the usual data storage methods like a hard drive and crypto is now diversified into several other sectors were we can make good use of it.

I will stay with bitcoin at any price. What's more, I'm sure people will use bitcoin as long as miners support transactions. Perhaps those people who use strategy a long holding coins will need to reconsider this way to. But the opportunity to have an income does not depend on the value of the asset. We don't make dollars, we make coins.

You have to realise here the scenarios you outline are actually pretty dam bullish.     7000 is not a low figure, consider a chart over five years instead of just months and that price is very high.

Also consider a steady price brings with it alot of positives such of easier contract settlement and pricing in general can rest more easily on a price which does not change substantially.   So to answer your question, many people would stay and I think BTC would grow alot even with a seemingly lower price.  Its about utility not price gain, this matters most.

First, you need to explain yourself one simple thing, this first phase will very well affect the recovery of the market. We all need to invest our money together in Bitcoin. Thus, we automatically raise the demand for Bitcoin in the market and this will positively influence the stabilization of the market.

For me it's ok because that price is big money if you convert to our local currency so it's ok if bitcoin dont go up in 10k. I will stay here in crypto because I earn more than to my current job. But who knows what will happen in the future the important is there's a bitcoin that we can use and the price is stable as of now.

I want to say that nothing is impossible in the world of cryptocurrency, you should not be too pessimistic if the end of 2018 bitcoin only touches $6k - $7k. I think bitcoin at the end of this year will reach its newest ATH and it's very possible because so far the bitcoin price movement is so unreasonable :D

Yes that is right, there is no reason to say that bitcoin price will not recover, i am sure about the bitcoin that it will recover very soon, because still investors are interested in bitcoin trading, and the bitcoin users are also increasing from time to time which is also giving good support to bitcoin, i think that  bitcoin price is very soon going to start increasing and this time may be it will cross 25000$ very easily.

Investments are all about timing and luck. When you investment, you must understand that the money that you are willing to risk is the money that you are also willing to lose in the event that the market falls. That is why, it must be thoroughly planned-out and a contingency plan must be made in order to avoid risks of losing everything. People who have investments know that they must diversify their resources in order to mitigate the damage of losing everything in one go.
For your question, I would be faithful to bitcoin and still choose to invest despite the prices increasing/decreasing in a small margin for various reasons:

  • Recent news have mentioned that universities are starting to accept bitcoin as a business degree in their curriculum;
  • Bitcoin reigns as the number one cryptocurrency in terms of market supply and price;
  • Though there may be strict laws/regulations, it still remains to be tax-free in some countries; and
  • Japan would likely develop further enhancements and breakthroughs in the blockchain for the success of bitcoin.

With this being said, I believe that bitcoin prices would skyrocket or at least increase in the near future, perfect for short-term gains as compared to other investment mechanisms.

This is a very helpful information. On the very first place, joining Bitcoin can be very exciting yet challenging. You have to know its significance and be ready to embrace not only its strengths but also its flaws. You have to be emotionally stable and let hope be the fuel that would help you keep stay strong and going no matter what happen. Always remember that it's not the first time it ever happens, and if it crashes now, surely it will recover.

I would gladly stay even if cryptos are in the bearish movement for a long time because i believe that bitcoin will always goes up no matter how low it is and that's what you can also see in bitcoin's graph. Besides, it's the best time to buy cryptos at a cheaper cost.

No more fud right now but that doesn't mean there won't be any coming. There will still be a lot coming our way so best be prepared. Mt.gox will resume selloff sept. So many are probably looking at that to sell as well before it happens. I'm pretty certain btc will recover though but if not, crypto is a very broad market and i believe in what it's trying to promote. So i'll stay

I really do not expect holding to be a challenge for someone who understands the impact what they are holding will create in the future. I believe we have not seen anything yet. Unfortunately, the bigger players are gradually beginning to see this while some people in this community keep looking at bitcoin recovering or not and they are starting to accumulate knowing it is the future and it would make no sense not holding a lot of it.

The rich will just keep getting richer, isn't it ? Recovery is normal for any market, and downtrend does not change what the future holds for a strong market that is disrupting so many things.

FUD or no FUD, the future has not changed. In fact, I have always loved sane moments like this compared to the bullish moments when everyone is just busy getting greedy. The fact that at least, we can have some few periods to keep stashing up is good enough for me.

A lot of people see downtrend as a problem but I see it as the best moment any serious investor who understands the future will take advantage of. Let's leave hype aside for now and let us focus on the real usage in the future.

But what are the chances that that is going to happen? Very low I suppose, there is not a reason of why the price of bitcoin is not going to recover it may not happen soon but it will happen, so the best thing that you can do right now is to hold your coins and if you can, you need to buy even more coins that way when the price recovers your profits are going to be even higher.

Bitcoin will recover I am very sure and I want to said that very soon We would start to recover and break the resistance level that will push bitcoin above $10,000. I have seen  many articles written against bitcoin and cryptocurrency in particular but most of those articles cannot killed bitcoin even at the early stages talk less of now.

I’m just going to hold for as long as it takes for my investments in Bitcoin and altcoins to recover and to hopefully show a profit. I’ll hold even if it takes a few years.

However, I don’t think the recovery will take that long because it appears that a recovery may have started over the last week or so for many of the cryptocurrencies.

I am also confident about bitcoin price will surely recover the bitcoin price, bitcoin just need  a slight push can we will see the bitcoin price to trade and increase its price. So i can say that our interest in bitcoin will increase too much and will give good profit to us. I myself has invested a good amount of money in bitcoin and now i am expecting to get a good profit from it.

Bitcoin is always bound to recover from dumps with greater force and there are many reasons which make this to happen for sure. In short, those who hold bitcoin and never give up on it even when the crazy new investors are dumping the legendary coin just because it is having some string dump, these are the ones who really enjoy big money by the end of every year when bitcoin crosses even 20,000 dollars.

It's simply a cycle of market ups and downs, and like with any other market the only thing you should know to profit is timing. Once you know when to get in and get out you're already pretty well equipped.

This is impossible to happened that the price will not recover in fact speculations are saying the bitcoin will continue to drop until 3k until May but early this month of April it has shown a pretty interesting rise of 8k and it has been staying at the price for weeks now..i am guessingn that the price will continue to rise.

I do believe that Bitcoin will recover and grow sufficiently. Yes, I am going to stay in crypto, as it has already become a part of my life and the way to earn.

I think it is important to separate traders (daily and weekly) with investors. If you want to invest in BTC or any other traded instrument, you should have sufficient knowledge and funds to know when to enter the position and be able to hold through the market turbulence. If you want to benefit from market fluctuations then it's probably better to stick to technical.

Ofcourse I will stay.
I believe that most people answer for this question is no as most of the people who uses bitcoin do it as a speculation tool, but personally I am actually using the benefits that bitcoin provides, including fast transfers over the world+ you can transfer and receive unlimited amount of money without a bank operator calling you and asking you to provide more information while blocking the transactions.
There are many things that bitcoin provides to the community and that speculators don't understand.

if you take into account The fact that Bitcoin can be the only international currency in digital format, then its functionality is fully understandable. But otherwise nothing like this can not be.

your totally wrong. Why? Because most people here on the forum (not only on this forum) but majority of the population are verry poor. For sure people will just move on to another coin ( specifically profitable coin ) next to bitcoin and i think that is probably eth because eth right now has the second most big value cryptocurrency.

no it isnt true. Most people use bitcoin just for invement purposes and also for general usage or for spending and paying bills.

There are many better coins that give you a better benefits than bitcoin when it comes to money transfer or payment purposes because you know bitcoin is not actually verry good to use as a payment method because it is known to be slow , expensive and lots of issues. All cryptos are also anonymous and you wont need to provide any of your personal details.

I'd keep all my long term holdings and probably just put a few thousand more $$ on an exchange to trade with. Even if bitcoin isn't booming you can still make money from the volatility through trading. I'd have no doubt even if it took a lot time that Bitcoin would eventually recover. When bitcoin was hanging out in the low hundreds forever in 2014/2015 i eventually sold everything at the low point in summer of 2015, thinking that okay that was it for bitcoin it hasn't budged in over a year. I will NEVER make that mistake again.

Besides, the only way Bitcoin is still at these prices in 6 months or a year is if the recent rise is a trap and it continues to slip down under $5k and the turnaround in momentum takes a few more months to even start. Of course if it did fall significantly again I'd be buying as much as I could.

Well it's a possibility that btc may lose value but crypto is much broader than btc itself. In the future, eth or ltc or even alts like xlm and trx may step up to be a major player in the market. Crypto will continue even without btc because of the technology that runs it.

In theory most of those coins are already big players in the market of cryptocurrencies and yet while those coins can display some independence from bitcoin, when bitcoin goes up significantly or when bitcoin goes down significantly they are unable to resist the strength of the movement in the price of bitcoin and they begin to move in exactly the same way.

Price should not matter as much as the underlying product being usable on a regular basis.   Since December we've had both a price drop but also the fees have dropped far more to become of no impediment to business once again.  The fees part of this is far more important in answering your question.

Speculators may dislike the drop but also people can speculate on a drop in price also, I dont see the price is a reason to no longer have an interest in crypto.

For most people being part of this market for a longer while volatility isn't a disturbing factor, but for a lot newbies that's their daily reality. Price up is Bitcoin doing all fine, where price down means it's losing popularity.

It's broken logic not making any sense, but how do you convince them otherwise? They have to find it out themselves, because with how much information there is available, it clearly didn't help them to learn anything.

Or they simply don't bother to do any research. It might very well be a combination of both factors. Either way, they need to dive in the Bitcoin river to figure out how to behave and how everything is working here.

Losing money is the best possible form of education. If even losing money doesn't make you learn from mistakes, then know that you are mentally not capable of investing in any market.

This guy knows, missed this first time around.   Listed as a newbie but clearly he has been in BTC for a while.      I would say the easiest way to be more realistic is to consider over a year time frame.   Maybe get out a ruler and pencil and draw a line on a chart that hits the most points over the last year for the price.      I do have this straight trend around 6k so it wasnt that bearish to be in this area in that longer term view.
Its easy for the guy who was here for Mt.Gox and the price drop after, he knows bitcoin can come back from that so has more confidence but not staring at short term price can help also.

Over a year we up massively, its very bullish really.   If anything the pullback adds some experience to the market that it can deal with selling, some out want to say its ponzi and price is false.  Well alot of people sold, got their money and this idea is proven incorrect.

Another point would be to look at BTC usage by population or individual users, forget price for that moment to consider is growth occurring or not

Only the fools and amateurs will lose patience and sell their bitcoins because they have zero faith in it. If you take a look at the threads, you will only find desperate people posting shits about the fall of the price. And now look at them posting the same shit "oh the price is recovering?" These people piss me off. If you do not support it in its ups and downs, then you are just an amateur who only seek profits. Go invest in a shitcoin.

I don't think our support to BTC should only be limited as to when we only benefited from it. When I become part of BTC, I honestly no longer treat it as a team, but as a home, a  family where everyone displays commitment, respect, and being their for each other in times of good and bad, lifting each others spirit to whoever is down and is about to give up. It has been very helpful and valuable, making life comfortable, and transactions easier, faster, and no chargebacks. Not only these, the lessons it taught me that help for my personal and professional growth, are a great advantage to be used and applied in facing my future. With this, staying with bitcoin is the best decision to make, and I hope everyone should realize this. Be hopeful and believe that it will happen.

I really do not need to cash out my bitcoin right now so to me waiting for two years is not really a long wait I'm fine waiting for that long in fact I'll be fine if I needed to wait for five years, now anything longer than that and I will admit it will be very hard if the price was not moving up at that point but I'm sure that I will not have to wait for that long.

I am always teaching by my expert market that reflected and reflects fluctuations and sometimes a stable market and sometimes not. This volatility is a problem on one side but is a solver on the other side. I will continue to invest and use this digital currency if face any sudden fall and will wait as I am learned enough to survive until you do not reach at the bull market. The recovering has begun for Bitcoin and my patience worked out now I am happy with my decisions.

If the bitcoin does not actually recover, you will not be able to keep the passwords. Your password will now become worthless. Your Bitcoin will be stored by a secure password of your own. If the bitcoin collapses, everything will collapse.

If the bitcoin collapses, everything will collapse.

Everything will follow bitcoin’s fate and it will likely not recover too. Bitcoin has has become the leading cryptocurrency in the cryptoworld. It became the base currency with pairing to every altcoins that’s why altcoins will also fall when bitcoin’s price goes down.

By the end of the year bitcoin will hit more then 20k , he will beat his hight score . A lot of people will not remain in crypto becouse bitcoin is the king of crypto and if he dies a lot of people will not remain in crypto. I on the other hand will remain in crypto becouse there are a lot of crypto which can become bettter then bitcoin .

I think the bitcoin price of the movement is just up and down and in long-term or long-term view the bitcoin condition is now experiencing a very severe decline which means it will be easy to re-bounce back up. Since it is unlikely that the price of cryptocurrency does not recover the price for sure the price will rebound and back up

on the basis of bitcoin prices depending on the user because it is bitcoin becomes unstable, therefore the possibility of bitcoin prices to be stable is very small always turbulent, if the possibility of bitcoin prices to be stable is not whether it is good for bitcoin prices today, if it becomes stable most likely investors will pay attention to bitcoin because bitcoin becomes stable and investors will not feel loss and will get a profit. if investors put their investment in bitcoin then automatically bitcoin price will jump. and then I'm still in bitcoin world and I will feel the new power

I am positive that bitcoin will not fall forever. The volatility of the market is normal due to the supply and demand. Currently i still believe in bitcoin 100% and i am telling this to anyone i know who is active in bitcoin. As long a there is bitcoin i am into it.

Well the question though is if it does NOT recover anymore. In today's circumstances, of course it's pretty simple to choose what to do since btc just sways in its volatility. But if does not recover, what would you do? In a few more years, people would realize that crypto is not only bitcoin. Demand would be further shared among other alts so pretty much, crypto will still be here even though bitcoin is not anymore

Why should I give up? If we want to win, we should not give up. Everything that we are experiencing is just normal and we should be very positive. Instead of checking the charts from time to time, let us diversify our investments and invest something on the real-world. Make ourselves busy. Hodl your Bitcoins while doing business. When the right time comes. Everybody wins and everybody happy.

If there is a way or chance then I will be doing so. I will definitely stay in crypto if BTC does not recover. Unless,it will end of course that's another story but as far as I know it doesn't end by now. I will see to it that I may use crypto into fiat for a start up of business and gradually,I could get some profit using crypto not in a real money first. I feel very comfortable with that. I'll stay.

we wont know how bitcoin can last, that is why it its also hard to tell whether we should still wait or make a safe exit and switch out to some other profitable coins but i guess we can still tell if bitcoin can still go just by basing on its value. If ever the value continues to drop harder, then that could probably a bad sign that bitcoin is coming to an end soon but if the value is still stable and increasing , then that is a good sign that bitcoin is still active and will remain working .

I will stay away from a crypto but I won't sell it. I'll forget it like what early investors did and then just remembered that they have it when BTC has reached $20k. Maybe it'll happen just like that.

I dont see the price is a reason to no longer have an interest in crypto.

The truth is that most people are not qualified to be investors, this is why it is so dangerous that so many people have invested money not only bitcoin but in many other markets like stocks or forex they are unable to make a fair assessment of their skills and their character because they are blinded by greed and when that happens it is going to be possible to convince them that investing is a terrible idea for them

With the scenarious that you are citing I think if will be illogical if i will continue to invest even if the price would that be low and still dropping. Practically speaking I will salvage everything that's left and invest it to other business venture. We all need to survive you know. But anyway those scenarious that you are seeing are just too impossible to happened right now.

Well I will stay over there despite of the fact that price is decreasing or increasing. I think it will reduce the number of persons that are in market for the sake of fun or part time marketers. Only pure crypto traders will left if it happened.

People are judging crypto market on the basis on past 10 years. Bitcoin is indeed a dominant currency at this point of time. But that doesn't not mean that if Bitcoin doesn't exist, crypto market will die. First of all Bitcoin is going no where in coming years. Bitcoin might lack the utility factor. But it has developed the investor's trust and is the medium of exchange to buy and sell altcoins. Thus, if we see short term, Bitcoin will definitely recover.

Definitely!  I will stay in crypto evenif BTCdoes not recover.  There are other cryptocurrency option out there and if a person is well versed in trading, he will definitely see the volatility of Bitcoin to be profit generating fluctuation.  Meaning, regardless of price of Bitcoin, a good trader will always profit from it.  So yeah, I will stay no matter what happen to BTC.

But it has not yet reached 10 years.

Very impossible that until 2019 bitcoin will stay at $6,000 - $7,000 just look on where are we right now.

But beware that when the market tries to recover there are FUD that will try to destruct the calmness of bitcoin's market for a while.

Of course I will stay to bitcoin even it's change the price of this. The price 6k or 7k is a big thing to us you can earn profit even the price of bitcoin is not too high. Fuds are always there and never leave crypto so it's up to people panic or stay calm. For me we don't need to always listen to gud news because you cannot be successful if you always listen some bad news and adopt to yourself.

The disruption made in the market is due to the popularity of Bitcoin because people are attracted by Bitcoin and less to others. The whole disruption is from 2009 when crypto born as the Bitcoin born in a new shape as a currency. It is not happening and never will happen because the Bitcoin market has been surviving and gone through the tough situations so this statement is not valid, people are still investing and Bitcoin is growing more with the passage of time.

Well, he's not pertaining to bitcoin like a thing that gets damaged. What he meant by recover is the price of bitcoin, If it will bounce back above $10k $ or not. If bitcoin will stay at $6-7k by next year then I will say that it is the stability that a lot of us are asking for and in my case, I will still continue holding my bitcoin or I could also use it because I can still get it back at the same price considering the stability.

It's like bitcoin was never under $6.000, like the starting price was $7.000... Even with the price at $7.000, it's still a lot more than what we had last year and from this point onward it probably won't go any lower than $8.000, and even if it does by some scenario, that would just open up the opportunity for investments.

I will stay for the longest term plan because we know that the Bitcoin market has both the properties in order to return back and to go back. When the Bitcoin price is in the decrease trend then the demand for it increases and the value recovers again which is good news for us. So I will stay in the market regardless of whatever situations create but the market will go better at the end.

There is no change and I am still believing bitcoin even if price will fall into $5k. It is not only the price that it really matter, but we also consider its capabilities to have a good profit gaining market. It is good also to have such price cause it surely that a lot of people will invest with bitcoin cause it is not so expensive and those individuals that have limited capital can make some investment also.

Apparently, some people are not really looking for that as the only thing they have fixed their mind to, is just how they can make quick money in a short period of time without having to work so hard for it. One thing I understand here is that a lot of people do not even understand the long term benefit and what makes crypto interesting in the main real sense.

Recovery is one thing that is certain anyway, but how long, is what anyone does not know and those who look forward to investing for the long term will always benefit from buying the dips.

It was never dead even in the past, it was just consolidating and those periods were even interesting for accumulation for the long run and as well interesting for transactional purposes. Nevertheless, based on what the OP asked, why on earth should I not use crypto even if it does not fluctuate or recover as he has put it ?

We still keep using it for some of us as the currency that it is and per adventure, there is just no way, we would end up experiencing some level of growth over time anyway. Because bitcoin was designed that way. Limited supply and scheduled  halving are few things confirming that bitcoin must have huge vale to attract more people in short period.

Who said it will not recover there is ups and downs always occur in all fields. Likewise in crypto world now its the rime for fluctuations. The price will goes pump and dump, but not goes fully in dump. If the price decrease means there is a chance to mass growth in future. I had a hope in bitcoin that it will recover soon, if not also i would stay in bitcoin only. Because all are know in future in cryptocurrencies only occupy the money market.

Bitcoin is a currency which is recoverable and has recovered million times and this is the proof and witness of its survival. There is no one who can proof that Bitcoin can not recover as this would be a failed attempt if someone does so. I will stay here for long term, long term means if the market is down and the coin is slowly increasing with the increase in demand but that will take time so this makes a long term which results in huge profit.

I wonder what you some of you have been doing in early 2015 when the price of bitcoin dropped like a rock to around ~$200 level.
Guys - please look at the bigger picture here, the price of BTC is far higher than most of the 'experts' predicted last year.
In February last year Bobby Lee (CEO of OKCoin) said that bitcoin might reach $5k-$11k price tag after having in 2020!
And we reached 20k in December 2018 - the price of BTC is still far, far higher than our expectations were a year ago.

Remember that.

Correct but many people do not even take the time to look at about history of bitcoin, people are concentrating in just trading their coins and are only looking at the previous hours or at most days of the price of bitcoin, but when the whole history and take time to look at each period in the life of bitcoin and research why it went down at that time you understand very clearly that bitcoin always recovers no matter what.

Surely during those times there will be fluctuations so I should just take the opportunity to trade so I would increase my holdings even if the price is the same in fiat value. There is a possibility that in 2019 price might still be in 6k-7k and since the price is somewhat stable then there would many merchants that would consider the adoption of bitcoin as payment option so price may have been stagnant in that level but due to the increase in adoption, it would eventually rise. I would just find another coin if there is an opportunity to earn in another coin that would take the crown of bitcoin.

I'm saying this because those who'll leave crypto have left for good (when everything was thought to be over in the beginning of this year). We don't see them around anymore. But even with the most difficult market situations I'm still here, them I can say that I'm not leaving crypto.
Thats right we have found the answer, you can see the current difficult market situations though, many users still survive and hold their coins because they always have hope that market conditions will change, and if hope is still there then crypto price will definitely recover :)
but I do not think they all leave. but waiting for the right time to enter. and I think they (the big holders) have the same connection so they can go in and out simultaneously and that's what affects the price up and down as they wish

If bitcoin wouldn't recover then bitcoin will cease to exist soon and will be taken out from any exchanger later. The existence of cryptocurrency depend on continued demand by its investors. On the possible growth of bitcoin this year, bitcoin have already reached  over $10k and slide down again. It is possible that bitcoin may not be able to surpassed its growth last year and it might stay below the $20k level.

Yes of course, I will stay even if btc price will go below 6K because I know it will rise up again. As long as btc has value, many investors still want to buy btc and hold. Also, small investors have the opportunity to buy at cheaper price if it will dip more below 6K level.

It is not possible if bitcoin can not rise again, bitcoin increment is only a matter of time. I still believe bitcoin can still increase, and I will stick in bitcoin.

I think the price 6k-7k price is a big amount so I think if even we not recover to that price and that price will stable I think its fine. But we cannot focus on that price because people will still invest and buy bitcoin so bitcoin will rise again.

Well if bitcoin doesn't recover for sure some of the digital currencies up for today are still in the lowest peak price of it because some of the are just basing on what bitcoin price is and also many investors are relying on what bitcoin price is so they can afford to buy some crypto but even if the price doesn't recover I will be staying at it.

You are mistaken you are thinking about bitcoin just as a way to make money by trading but bitcoin is a lot more than that, bitcoin is a way to transfer value from one side of the world to the other and back without the need to have that transference being authorized by anyone, so while it is obvious I would like for the price of bitcoin to recover that does not mean that bitcoin will cease to exist.

Although it is unlikely to happen, in my case I will still hold my bitcoin and despite the steady market that it would fall into, I will be looking for altcoins that is still increasing despite the negative effects of bitcoin to the market.

Also, it is a good point of entry to add more to your investment so better if we save up some money and buy little by little.

Instead of getting dishearten by the current situation of the market, I am searching for the ways this market can work best for me and I ended up with a solution of buying more and more of bitcoin and leading altcoins in order to be on the safe side by the end of the year when market will be booming at peak. That would be perfect time for celebrations than buying coins. Many will regret then investing not at the moment.

My business is in bitcoin and I am here to work for the crypto community in any time. I am from 2016 and I have worked in all the time and I saw many prices of bitcoin and I do not worry for the price of bitcoin.

If talked about the price of bitcoin then it will be fool to think that the price of bitcoin will not recover because people of the world want to earn some money for their living and that opportunities are many more in crypto and if they will hear about this then they will come to join the community and then with their contribution the demand of bitcoin will increase which will increase the value of bitcoin. So we have to keep it in mind that the price of bitcoin will definitely increase.

I have decided to hold my coins for many years so even if the price of bitcoin did not moved up by that time I would not mind, that will be an indicator that a big movement will happen eventually and that you do not want to miss it and the only way to get all of those potential long term profits is to keep holding your coins, this happened already and it is possible it will happen again.

I have sold all my BTC and I am happy because it will not recover its price in near 2-3 years or even never. Its time to say "bye" to whole crypto market. It was good times, we earned a lot money but nothing is forever. Its time to forget that market. Also a lot people lost money in January-February and they will never do this again. So I don't know how many people will risk again, I suppose not a lot.

I saw great opportunity as I invested in bitcoin and in other coins. That means that, in cryptocurrency, you have the security of really earning the best way you can.
I consider bitcoin as my first option when it comes to cryptocurrency even until now that it's price is going up and down. But then, as trader and investor, we have to be prepared. We don't put all our eggs in just one basket. If bitcoin won't be successful, at least I have invested to others.

It is up to the long term trusted store of value of a coin, if you are not observing long term trusted store of value in a currency then do not invest there and invest somewhere else in a source which has long term trusted store of value. The Bitcoin market is very responsive and gave me the opportunity to invest in a low market and I invest in that and resulted in profit for me. I will invest till Bitcoin is responding and if something lose its potential then no one cares but as we know that this thinking and point has been removed by the Bitcoin by its price and demand in the market.

Hahaha LOL

Too bad all altcoins are relatively worthless!

Bitcoin's blockchain is the only unique one to provide the most security in a decentralized, global, incentivized fashion.

Popularity of Bitcoin will begin to explode with lightning in the next year.
Bitcoin's lightning network is emerging where fees will be tiny and cross-chain atomic swaps for decentralized exchange.

All other "blockchains" are more private worthless databases, my old nokia phone can do worthless databases. Other blockchains are simply scams.

Bitcoin's price will be at the very least more than 4 times (400%) of todays price in 5 years.

Those trying to undermine and manipulate bitcoin stem from the central bank system around the world;
-the central banks dictate policy to all the operating big banks around the world and have essentially tried their best to ban bitcoin related transactions for more than four years straight, ever since 2013, and have failed at stopping bitcoin's growth, adoption, and popularity
-the central banks fund efforts to undermine bitcoin, providing plenty of capital and liquidity to private companies and venture backed groups such as Digital Currency Group (they own Coinbase, GDAX, Kraken, Bitpay, and media outlet Coindesk) and also Roger Ver/Bitmain to undermine and break the bitcoin protocol and/or manipulate trade

Above are just small examples.

First, educate yourself and then others. Please checkout the link to the bitcointalk post in my signature titled: How to teach Bitcoin to a 7 year old.

Bitcoin is a secure, decentralized, trustless and open system which cannot be banned nor controlled.

Bitcoin is ultimate store of value and its popularity has strengthened over time and maximizes value compared to any other altcoin...
Why are altcoins relatively worthless compared to bitcoin?:
If it can be shutdown, and have assets frozen by a bank or government, there would be no value
If it wasn't secure, there would be no value.
If it wasn't immutable, there would be no value.
If it wasn't globally distributed, there would be no value.
If it wasn't so strong, open-source decentralized and unstoppable, there would be no value.
If it wasn't so scarce, there would be no value.
If it was easy to spam transactions, there would be no value
If it required a central 3rd party to function, there would be no value
If it was stopped after all major banks on Earth banned in 2013 to today, there would be no value. (say "bitcoin" when transacting and watch the block of the transaction. simple fix=never mention "bitcoin").
If it didn't have the history of 8+ years (and still no hacker can exploit bitcoin blockchain), there would be no value
Bitcoin is on the verge of lightning network release rendering altcoins as only backup plan options if not dead.
If it was exactly like fiat and only did transactions, there would be no value.

Bitcoin's value is worth hundreds of billions USD today. Altcoins however are scams, weak, pyramid schemes not offering these values.

Bitcoin has all the characteristics needed combined to hold the most value and increasing more than any other financial-asset option coming from the manipulated fiat central-banking debt-system. (more than stocks, more than houses, more than gold).

If fiat/credit supply stopped growing, then house prices, stock prices, financial assets would crash significantly in value.

Governments and laws are controlled by the central banks. Bitcoin is an anti-establishment revolution that has already solidified itself worldwide.

Bitcoin cannot be controlled. It cannot be banned. It cannot be made illegal. And conversely it cannot be legalized. It just simply is. And people can always use it.

For global fiat (US Dollars, Indian Rupees, Chinese Yuan, etc), the fiat bubble system broke a couple of decades ago.

Fiat around the world is forced to inflate issuance as its heavily infested, burdened and broken with (the following whether good or bad):
-inflating fiat to keep house-prices from collapsing
-inflating fiat to keep stock market rising
-financing conflicts, bombs, missiles/aircraft/embassies, and "aid"
-frivolous legal costs (systemic resources wasted on legal threats, settlements, lawsuits bogging down system)
-regulatory burden on fiat banks & system (incredibly costly, lots of labor for each $1 in circulation)
-backstopping insurance frauds
-costs of auditors and budgetors and accountants checking the same thing over in governments and businesses (& still suspect)
-big insurance loss-events
-unemployment & other welfare costs
-stabilize regions after natural disasters
-keeping monopolies with internet access and information centralized and search engine crawlers centralized
-officially sponsored "money laundering"
-backstopping credit chargebacks
-state-sponsored corruption and unofficial corruption (governments and gangs, banks and conartists)
-retirement obligations (debasement in value to keep up with payments from government or other retirement-obligations)
-fake credit (goods being transacted with credit-loss, replaced by inflation of monetary base rather than bringing perpetrators & source to justice)
-using enforcement labor to freeze accounts and assets and take away your money

Bitcoin, systemically, is free from these limitations and burdens.

First of all, bitcoin will soon recovering from the drop its into now. The one you said not recover would be just for months.  Bitcoin would never stay out of its rhytym and is always there. All i need to do is hold it for a while until it was not that stable, buy some when the price is low then enjoy when it comes up.

There would always be the fluctuations in the price so you can still take advantage of it. It might be small fluctuations though just like the movement of the stock price of the blue chip companies so it would be a disadvantage to those who has smaller capital so in this case you might consider finding a coin that still fluctuates with big movements.

As for OPs question, I will still stay in crypto as long as it is not illegal to do so because there are still opportunities to gain some profit. After all, it is the market that you can profit a bigger amount even if you have small capital and there would always be a coin that would replace bitcoin when that happens but for now, I think it is less likely to happen.

Definitely dude i will stay. There are so many crypto out there that can possibly can replace Bitcoin in future. But i don't think it will happen right now or in the next 10 years. So there is nothing to worry about bitcoin will gonna stand as a king for a very long long time. My opinion only.

Same here  i will also stay with bitcoin even if bitcoin wont recover anymore.
If bitcoin will not recover or in other words if bitcoin became stable then that is even more cooler because we can now earn more at a fix rate rather than it is volatile and the value can become low and lower.

But if bitcoin become lower and suddenly hit zero , i dont think i will stay on it.  The only reason why i stay on bitcoin is because of income or to earn a profit.

More of us would like to stay if bitcoin wont recover or go back to $20k. Yes so many investors users are relying on bitcoin and using the features that can benefit the users. So I am still staying in crypto no matter what.
It even depends on what we are implying about recovery. The thing is that bitcoin is still useful as a currency and it is still serving that purpose and the more we started seeing that the asset value increase is a plus the better. We cannot rule out that fact that a lot of people are here to make some profit from the increase in value of bitcoin in the long term, but market obviously will never remain in a downtrend forever as it obviously would not even pay anyone, including the top guys, so it is normal to always see a recovery.

BTC opened cryptos to the world, and I just wait to see the moment, when other cryptos can delevop independently from BTC, cryptos are here for years
Yeah, I really cannot wait to see that happen as well. It is crazy to see that a lot of alts are even dependent on bitcoin's movement and I believe that over time, things will change just like you have said, when we will probably be tagging the crypto environment directly with fiat. However, bitcoin obviously will recover and I do not see any reason why it would not, and normally that should not even be a reason for anyone not to stay or trade the market because of that.

Bitcoin will still recover whatever happens because many people had trust on this technology. This is just a matter of time and you need patient to recover the market and attract new buyers to push the price back on track. We can't compared this for last year as we had in different situation as more bad news and regulations for this year.

Of course, new players will come to the market and we'll have a chance to find some brilliants of its' time like BTC now. That also will make coin competition more rationalized.

But if bitcoin become lower and suddenly hit zero , i dont think i will stay on it.  The only reason why i stay on bitcoin is because of income or to earn a profit.

I don't think that bitcoin will reach zero. Investors and whales will likely flood at very dump price because it is the best opportunity to buy bitcoin. And when that happens, bitcoin will rise again so it is very impossible for bitcoin to disappear. With this thinking, I will likely stay even if bitcoin does not recover and if it keeps on dumping. It may be stressful to see funds getting low and low but imagine the excitement and of course the profit it will bring when whales acted up again. Bitcoin is bitcoin and people trust it more than any coins for investment.

But the idustry is growing and very fast, so you can't anyhow kill it at once. Many thousands of people are engaged in cryptos other than BTC and they will keep do so

Of course we will still continue even if Bitcoin will not going to recover it again because there are altcoins that is available already like Ethereum which is in the second place of coinmarketcap but i highly doubt that Bitcoin will stop. Besides of that given price it is still tradable to everyone because the last price i've known for Bitcoin was $200+ and that was the expensive price before unlike today.

I do not believe that bitcoin will fall forever. the fall of the market is normal because of supply and demand, bitcoin prices will keep changing, and I'm sure bitcoin will change to better price.

Yes sure, crypto community is big enough to find other coins and investing ICOs even though BTC will stay inactive. The good thing about crypto community is excitement, technology learning, information sharing and many more advantages for general people regardless any race, nationality, religion, sex, poor, rich and geography.

In fact, Crypto community is uniting the whole world and creating a better world.

cheers. :)

bitcoin as main cryptocurrenc influence another cryptocurrency such as ethereum or neo.we can see in market that if bitcoin price goes down, it followed other.so i am doubt if ethereum or other still can rise up.because it's about market psycholgy that depend on bitcoin as main curreny.

For me, we do not need to always listen to gud news because you can not succeed if you always listen to bad news and adopt yourself. Of course I would still use bitcoin even though it changed this price. Price 6k or 7k is a big thing for us, you can get a profit even bitcoin price is not too high

Well, It seems to me that its impossible if the bitcoin price will not recover. We all know the nature or cycle of the bitcoin there is really comes a time that it will dropped down and suddenly it will goes up. Well, for me its not possible if one of this day bitcoin will rise again. for sure there some reasons why until now bitcoin can not rise again. Let's be patient to wait for it, but for now you can invest and buy bitcoin before it will goes up or you must hold it up and wait for the right time to convert it in a high price.

Well, good bye to you and while you are out of the market that you think cannot give anything more you will be caught by surprise when the market recovers again at that time you will try to get back in the market but it will be probably too late and you will have to face a very difficult decision to stay out of the market or to invest and to pay a lot more for each bitcoin.

This has always been the nature of bitcoin and we should learn to recognize that reality. I don't think it can't recover, it's not the first time it happens that we experience price correction. Challenges and risks are part of cryptocurrency and it's up to us how we manage it bravely. I would still stay in Bitcoin no matter what, because I trust its potential, and I'm hopeful that it can recover. We are the biggest assets of bitcoin, and we uphold strongly to its significance, no wonder it can survive and will have a long way to go.

Yes, Bitcoin is the godfather of all the cryptocurrencies but here we are discussing the price of Bitcoin and should accentuate it the most. As we know that the market these days are favorable for investors or people to buy coins on low prices and this is called a low market. If you did not invest yet then this is the time and never miss this opportunity as this is a highly favorable market for us to put our money here and get large quantity coins which will act with maximum payoff.

If BTC can reach to 15000$ and never gets more and let others go their own paths, I would be extremely glad.
That would make the market so much more objective and diverced at the same time
I believe that certainly every bitcoiner has this wish. They want to see bitcoin over 10,000 dollars badly and somehow this is not decent for the market to go down further. People have already suffered a lot and this is the reason why everyone is panicking even now. Though bitcoin raised in value little bit but again it is dumping. I am unable to figure out the exact reason behind this messed up market situation.

It is up to the long term trusted store of value, if the Bitcoin has even little I will invest in it and this is due to its nature as we know that this value dropped and hen started from scratch again which proved its strength and potential and this time the Bitcoin will recover again. All we need is to contribute in the demand rate in order to invest which will bring increase in its value and we will get benefit too.

This is the right attitude unfortunately very few people have a strong enough conviction to hold their bitcoin no matter what, there are many people that only care about getting fast profits and when that does not happen they sell their coins not caring at all how they affect the market by their selfish decisions, if there were more people like you the price of bitcoin will be a lot higher.

why not, but I choose not to stick with hold bitcoin, but what I do is sell and buy back to trade. at any price you can still profit with the trade. that's the real work, because I think someone who only survives is someone who just hopes luck alone without going to sweat. but if trading, one must work to have a strategy and to speculate by looking at the state of the market. so the point is not to panic with circumstances like this and decide to leave crypto. because despite these market circumstances, you can still benefit by taking advantage of existing market waves.

yes i will stay on bitcoins obviously because the price today in the market will still recover before the end of 2018, if you do not have the confidence to invest then try to read different positive speculations in order for you not to lose a huge amount of profit because of some fake news or fud.

Holding, buying when there's dip and selling when there's some pump in the market or converting into Tether are the best way to secure ones profit but I disagree with you when you said you can't stick with Bitcoin holding cause Bitcoin holding is the old way of earning more profit through cryptocurrency.

Meanwhile, I will quit Bitcoin even if the price does not recover.

The current weakening of bitcoin values has already affected other cryptocurrency conditions. In fact, to improve the attitude of public enthusiasm in the world of cryptocurrency, there must be at least 1-3-5 cryptocurrency that continues to grow.
Bitcoin is currently trading $ 7.616.91 for me this is a stable price of bitcoin, of course much different from trading conditions in december 2017, which at that time bitcoin 'ever' price reached $ 20.000.
In the future, most small investors, many expect the bitcoin condition to remain stable or rise to $ 25.000 as predicted earlier, so that investors and users have what reference references.
Now, the effort to boost the value of bitcoin, the majority of users and investors who are holding, must all make a buyback, the investment assets must be enlarged thereby, in the long run we will be better especially in terms of bitcoin strengthening.
The problem is that the exchange rate of bitcoin's determined not only by the fundamentals, especially in the medium and long-term, but also the perception of market participants in the short term.
Overall the fundamental, cryptocurrency is not bad. However, we should also see that the trade balance is "deficit year to date" due to the deficit in the number of buyers. But we don't have to worry about "bitcoin fluctuations will continue until the end of the year" although with the speed of snails, as well as the main threat, can still thwart the positive trajectory.
Given this assumption, I will remain in crypto take advantage of our smart way with the best because under any circumstances bitcoin always provide profit benefits.

IMHO, the main problem is that we now in the the state, that cryptos became one of the toys for guys from Wallstreet. They loaded cryptos with theirs billions in December 17, and now, with their's stocks futures and influence to world goverments and banks, trying to control it. So, from alternative economy system cryptos transformed into just another speculative market. The only way out, as I understand, is real adoption as a payment system for common people, not big banks or corps.

Because, during this cryptocurrency has been able to sustain my financial needs. To be honest, right now my life depends only on bitcoin, and some other cryptocurrency and I have left my job. Not only that I also believe bitcoin will be a currency and a universal commodity, so the price will continue to soar.

I had to check to see when OP registered here, because this question makes me think of someone who hasn't been into crypto all that long.  I'm not exactly an OG in the bitcoin world, but I've been following it long enough to remember when it was worth a LOT less than what it is now.  My frame of reference is at some point in 2015 when bitcoin fell below $200, and I thought it was all over--I think this was when Overstock started accepting it and the theory was that people paying for stuff there was causing a lot of btc to be sold, or some such theory which I think was wrong.

Anyway, hell yes I will stay in bitcoin if we're still at $7200 next year or even if we fall to a much lower price.  In fact if it falls significantly I will try to buy some more.  People who sell everything when we have a dip are the weak hands that people constantly talk about.  Don't be one of that breed.

Even if the BTC price falls to $100, I will still be in the crypto world. The value is not what matters to me. It's the advantages I get by using it instead the traditional ways.
I know a lot of people will soon leave the market because they didn't have enough patience. I can understand of course

Possibilities on such decision would happen but no one really knows on what would happen exactly on future years to come or even on next month. We might already having some doubts that crypto would be dead but own my own view this is always been a possible thing to happen to crypto where prices can easily go dip and we are not always pumping out on price but it doesnt mean it would be dead. There are still lots of space to improve or further develop not just like on money making.

If you believe that bitcoin is going to recover soon then that is fine, but what are you going to do if that does not happen? That is a very simple question and yet it is one very few people have an answer, I know that I will keep holding no matter what, if I did not sold my bitcoins when the price crashed just a few months ago then I know there is nothing which can scare me to sell my coins.

But for me I still believe in Btc, for sure it will rise up again, let us just wait and see big changes in btc price when it pump up again.

Yes, I'll stay, because initially I was not aimed only at bitcoin, there are altcoyins that I think should be dealt with
More chances are that bitcoin will recover very soon, but even if it does not recover still i will stay in crypto currency, because still there are a lot of crypto currencies which still have good potential and still chances are that their price will increase too much, in fact i am sure that we will continue getting profit from bitcoin for a long long time.

It is the market of high potential and survival, if Bitcoin had to collapse then it would have collapsed in the beginning and will not survive but it shoed potential  and proved us its strength and response. Besides it we have seen many ups and downs before and have seen the recoveries as well. This time the market will also recover and this is a simple factor which is controlling it which can turn green anytime soon.

I believe bitcoin will soon recover and there is no reason for me to leave crypto, we just have to be patient and keep positive thinking, no need to panic because it will only make us lose
Staying in the Bitcoin is not necessary always but you need to know the real and perfect timings of the market. Bitcoin needs your attention in this time and you should also look into the market, its low value encourages people to invest and trade with it now.

As we know that in a low market the Bitcoins are achievable on low price and is affordable foe an ordinary person which will give coins is large quantity.

It is very hard to say for now, because it is very hard to leave with loses. It is a big challenge to all crypto supporters, unless if you don’t have money issues, and only playing for satisfaction, but for strugglers like me that playing for money and profit purpose, i should be optimistic that bitcoin will recover and go up again, and so as with the other coins.

Good question. Because its really tough mentally to cling into someone which you don't know what will it brings in the future. However, just think that Bitcoin has started 2017 in < $1K so around $6K-$7K is still a good price for me. With that said, I will still be here no matter what others think if Bitcoin will just go down and "die". I will continue to ride as long as I see fit and making a good profit out of it. Again the price range of $6K-$7K is still strong. Those who thought otherwise is those investors who bought bitcoin at its peak last year or even above $10K which obviously they need got out early because they think that it will not recover.

For now it is indeed the world of cryptocurrency is experiencing a very high price instability. This makes investors confused to withdraw their funds or hold their funds in the market. I think we wait until the end of 2018

I am also waiting for the money to come and will invest in the upcoming few days. This is a great opportunity for us to take benefit of this current market and soon the market will recover as we have seen in the past many times.

Downing price of the bitcoin is normal and you will get more money once the price increase very high and for sure after dumping the price of the bitcoin will pump and will become very high maybe like double or triple in just few months of waiting. Patient is the key to increase again the price and you gain more money.

Exactly! Volatility has always been its nature, due to increasing and decreasing number of demand. I still choose to stay and will continue to uphold because I believe and trust its potential. I don't think that its crash may mean its end, it can surely bounce back and generate huge returns.

Of course, in the world of cryptos i will remain even if the price has dropped sharply. Bitcoin has already experienced bigger crashes than he is now. If you look into the past, everything will be clear to you. Bitcoin is not a short-term thing, the price has extreme volatility. When developing the price of bitcoin, but also of any other instrument, the price is growing more slowly than it is decreasing. It is related to the psychology of crowd behavior with speculators who, when price drops, are in panic and closing their buying positions. The market is declining significantly at such times, the price is often downhill and it is hitting more and more sales orders. Personally, in the world of cryptocurrencies, i have been moving for a long time and i remain faithful to this digital world.

It can happen anytime now and what if it pumps permanently or going to the moon by then. I made it this far, im willing to wait more.

So I guess I would just continue to earn from it even if Bitcoin goes back to that price but I think it wouldn't really go that down again.

I'll never believe Bitcoin won't recover anymore, bitcoin really keep on fighting and surely there is a surge awaiting for it. It only happen that crypto market are really affected with hacking problems of some exchanges. But it won't make crypto down, it only needs time to recover and we just need to take a breath and control our emotions cause it will back into normal trend in few days.

seriously hypothetical question bcoz not the price but only scenario or situation at that time in community will affect my decision .
Lets say price still stable in 2019 but community is still strong like now then i will hold it but if people lose faith and neither price nor hype/popularity shows sign of recovery then have to dell it unfortunately . And i think if btc shown no sign of 10k USD + till 1-2 years then it will be really bad for entire market and other projects .

Long term investors might be skeptical about this scenario. They will not invest anymore in something which has a continuous decrease in price. Unless they short the position obviously.
Nevertheless, if the price remains stable, the daily or weekly fluctuation can be still exploited for a decent profit. This is what the daily traders are after.

Bitcoin will recover. I have no doubt about that. So just hodl and wait.
But let's assume it wouldn't recover. Do you really think altcoins will survive?? I highly doubt it.
If Bitcoin dies, this whole space dies within a few years at the latest.
There will never ever be another Bitcoin like crypto.
Bitcoin is the one shot we have! The only one!

I would still hold my holdings as I earn crypto part time and also that when the price of bitcoin comes down, the bitcoins paid per job also rise proportionately so I am earning more bitcoins when the market is at low and that's more important to me as I invest my time to earn bitcoins and as in this bearish market I am earning more bitcoins than I could regularly earn when the price was high, so if I see bitcoin as an investment prospective then the bearish market is what I want when I am collecting coins, but for a bounty hunter it's a nightmare.

It is incredibly unlikely the price will not recover and go even higher, after all it is not like something happened to bitcoin or anything, everything is still in place, the network is still there, the developers are still working as hard as ever, the miners are there as well so the only thing that changed was the demand and most of that demand was nothing more than a speculative bubble.

Having faith and trust especially after seeing and experiencing a large dump and a period of slow recovery. If I am one of those weak handed traders and hodlers, I could have sold my tokens and bitcoin. What helps me to keep believing is personally experiencing a huge pump when investors and whales flooded in a dump. We really need to give bitcoin and all other cryptos the time to recover, and even if you may feel and think that whales and investors could really control the price, continue hodling.

I will stay in crypto as long as it still exist. Crypto helps me a lot with my finances,  and I know many people still believes that bitcoin will prove that it can stay for long and will pump again.
Even price cannot recover I am staying into bitcoin. Many users has helping by this crypto we can earn money and we can use for our own good. I'm not losing hope and their are still months to go this year ends and still has a chance to increase.

Let us say that bitcoin is having a problem with its recovering, considering that fact, I think I will still remain to bitcoin. I think nothing wrong is gonna happen because I could still invest to other cryptocurrencies even I still have investments with bitcoin. I trust bitcoin and will remain loyal to it because believe that it will recover no matter what.

There is no reason for me to leave cryptocurrency even though the bitcoin price is still at $ 6000- $ 7000. Bitcoin I do not make as an investment place only, but I can get profit by trading. Let's say, though bitcoin price down le $ 100 price I will not get out of this cryptocurrency with confidence.

I am very optimistic that bitcoin price recovery is certain however if the price does not recover it is not yardstick for quitting because there are other alternative cryptos like ETH, LTC and XRP which are potentially viable and equally volatile when hodl like bitcoin.

Crypto-world has grown beyond BTC, the blockchain industry has become the center of focus, while BTC may have initiated this epochal event in mankind, it has left the spotlight to a more economic mainstream focus of the latter. So yes, I'll stay in cryptocurrency however the outcome of BTC.

bitcoin will definitely recover and have a higher price again because bitcoin prices are up and down is normal and I of course will stay and wait for bitcoin prices rise again
Downing price of the bitcoin is normal and you will get more money once the price increase very high and for sure after dumping the price of the bitcoin will pump and will become very high maybe like double or triple in just few months of waiting. Patient is the key to increase again the price and you gain more money.
Volatility is the beauty of bitcoin and due to this more and more people invest in bitcoin. I will be a part of crypto world for the rest of my life because I think that the world is turning towards cryptocurrency and there will be only one currency which will be usable throughout the world and that would be only bitcoin. Other currencies will disappear from the market.

Yes, I'll stay, because initially I was not aimed only at bitcoin, there are altcoyins that I think should be dealt with
I would surely stay in crypto market if I had invested previously, in the Bitcoin market we see different situations and the current situations favors and encourage buyers. I am also waiting for the money to come and will invest in the upcoming few days. This is a great opportunity for us to take benefit of this current market and soon the market will recover as we have seen in the past many times.
I will also stay because I think that price of bitcoin has fallen for the time being and the future is good. The aim of bitcoin should be the use of it around the world and making money should be in the second phase. For me bitcoin price is of no mean. I want the whole world use bitcoin as their regular and legal currency even in their local markets. That’s why I will stay forever.

I will stay in bitcoin forever because I think that now the price is normal. I don’t think why all the people want big pumps in the price? Bitcoin will grow with the passage of time and I don’t need any big pump in the price. I also don’t believe in any predictions and decide according to market current situation and technical analyses. We should be practical and not emotional.

That's great, we shouldn't be bothered by our emotions because it may drown us to hopeless results when good profit comes. For the main time predictions was just an entertainment, but the facts along with the reality was really changing everytime as volatility could go further. Fluctuations will always be happening, because the people always wanted profit and don't think how future could be a nice results in a long run. Just believe bitcoin will recover, and also crypto shouldn't be ignored rather choose it to remain strong if you're holding a certain amount for long term trading.

Of course I will stay no what will be the price because I think that bitcoin is only way to earn more and more money and to fulfill all my dreams in the future. I will buy more if I have extra money. There is no good option for investment in this era because the world is turning towards cryptocurrency and the dip in the price is for the time being.

Before anything else, you must understand the nature of bitcoin, on how the blockchain affects the modern transaction of payments when it comes to security, and the uses of bitcoin other than an investment mechanism.

First, people utilized bitcoin as a means of transacting due to its anonymity factor it provides. Not to mention, you have the potential to send/deliver money to anyone across the country with a relatively short amount of time and a fee that is lower compared to other means available. Next, the blockchain technology provides security among its users as it is being protected by a network of computers who regulate each block to prevent any hacks and scams along the way; and lastly, as an investment tool wherein you could take advantage of its volatile price for future yielding of income.

What most people fail to realize and overlook is on the aspect that the security it provides. Most people tend to focus on the investment aspect (which in my opinion is not a bad thing) but they must also understand that investing on Bitcoin is more than the yielding of income.

The dip in the price is for the time being and will be recovered soon. Although the price decreases more than increase but it is the future currency and will take over the market soon. That will be an interesting time when the whole world will use just one currency and all other currencies will disappear from the market. Don’t be panic and be optimistic about the good future of bitcoin.

Its impossible, bitcoin is volatility and it never be unstable if now bitcoin is down tommorow or the next day it will rise again. Let's just be positive that bitcoin will recover again so that we can convert a big amount of money.

for now I survive first what I have, yes we'll see later, if for example we still see the prediction at that time whether there are signs of the resurrection? but if prices go down, cheap purchases and sales may not be much different, so maybe last as long as bitcoin still stands.

bitcoin has not completely ceased to work, but the reserve plan should be thought through in order to have an alternative

Quite the contrary.

A larger percentage of altcoins are traded to three major crypto assets: BTC, ETH and USDT. In some rare cases you find USD, NEO bla... bla... bla... (you get the picture. It's hard to come across any altcoin that is not traded with BTC, it may not have much trading volume but it takes predominant space on most exchanges. Now that I think of it, no bitcoin, no altcoin - it's a fatal loss to crypto ideology if BTC fails. Because in one way or the other every other altcoin has referenced bitcoin and tries to mimic the technology or 'help' it. BTC dominance isn't just for show - it's fact!

I'm with Bitcoin for five years now and I've seen better and worse times. The price was much higher, yes, but also there were times when it was much lower.
So I'm planing to stay, there is no doubt about it. And believe that many long time users will do the same. Besides, Bitcoin is not only about the price.
I don't find current situation as a kind of catastrophe for Bitcoin like some does. But they obviously forget that Bitcoin is volatile and price is changing all the time.

Bitcoin and other crypto currencies price is always volatile and the price rise or fall is normal in this crypto market. We cannot decide on the price of the coins on a particular time and we need to think of the long term potential of each coin including Bitcoin.

To be specific for your post, yes I would stay in crypto if Bitcoin goes down to that much down price also.

I am not here because price is low or high, I am here because I believe in the project satoshi nakamoto started and the reasons behind his project. Crypto is a message to the problem.

I will stay in crypto even if bitcoin does not recover . Bitcoin not recovering is so impossible because bitcoin can never die. It is a token that will always stand the test of time no matter what may happen
End users are most important in order to succeed just like what you have said, everything still in line the only thing that have change is the demand and the traders and users, if those investors and businesses start to show their interest back, then we will be able to see the bull run in the short period of them, keep moving and believe that everything is happen for a reason.
The demand is going to take some time to develop, people are afraid of investing in cryptocurrencies, even if they were not invested in the market when the collapse happened people are going to see the charts and are not going to want to commit a lot of money to bitcoin or altcoins but that is fine since it gives us time to get more coins for ourselves.

This is impossible to happens. But if it does not really recover, i think evetually all other cryptocurrencies will goes with it because bitcoin is the mother of all cryprocurrency. If I will stay?  i will stay and choose the best ICO i can play for the maintime and see how it goes but surely if i see a pattern of how bitcoin went out i will sure get out while i can. This is just to answer your Question but i believe this is far from happening.

Nice choice of timing though. In 2020 the bitcoin halving will take place and Bitcoin price is expected to increase maybe few weeks or months after it will happens so if there will be not a big recovery in that time then i may also consider selling a part of my BTC instead of holding  :)

Yes, you are right and i don't why people are kept asking such questions. See we are into different decentralized technology which governments will convince about the blockchain. That's why Bitcoin is still existing in the market and yes i will stay in cryptocurrency even though Bitcoin price is not increasing.

I'm already plus and I have no reason to be broken even if by 2019 we will fluctuate between 6,000 and 7,000. The growth will be, just everyone will begin to invest more strongly in altcoins and new projects to earn and there will be no such volatility in bitcoin.
This year is not good so far for bitcoin but it doesn’t mean that it will remain the same forever. The future is bright and the price will also grow. We need to be patient and wait for some more time. Nobody knows the future, but we should be optimistic. The current situation of the market is for the time being and will recover soon in the future.

Yes, i will stay in crypto even if btc does not recover, because i was support until forever and wait for its price will recovery. Because i really believe that btc has a future and we should think positive always. Despite of this will still invest more, and the price will not remain low price. Just always give trust, and we need more patience to wait
Yeah of course I will stay because my aim is not only making money from cryptocurrency. I want to use it around the world. If you think that if the price does not recover I will lose my investment, it is wrong because I will never sell my holding and with the passage of time it will increase and will recover in the long run. I am coon in this matter and will stay for long.

I know that the current situation of the market is for the time being and will last soon. The price is now increasing day by day and in the near future I can not only recover my lost money but also can make profits.

Of course I will stay no what will be the price because I think that bitcoin is only way to earn more and more money and to fulfill all my dreams in the future. I will buy more if I have extra money. There is no good option for investment in this era because the world is turning towards cryptocurrency and the dip in the price is for the time being.

Yeah I will stay forever because I know that bitcoin is the future currency and I don’t care what the value of bitcoin is today. There are two benefits of investment in bitcoin. One is for making more and more money and other is worldwide usable currency. In the future the whole world will use bitcoin as their regular and legal currency.

Yes i will because no matter how the market prices drops, there is always a chance that the market price will pump up again due to volatility.

The truth is that almost everyone should be breaking even, only those that invested in cryptocurrencies when the market was clearly overvalued and those that sold their coins because they thought the market will crash are the ones losing money, everyone else should have profits or as you said at least breaking even and if they are not then that is their fault for making those mistakes.

I agree with you, for me when the market has grown to nearly $ 1000 billion earlier this year. Financial groups have begun to take part, it is a channel for making money in the future, even if prices go up or down, they will also make money from the market.

I would not mind, I have been around for some time and I know this is the way bitcoin works even if the price never increased again and it kept its current value I would still be around, but that is unrealistic the price is going to increase again since the technology does not stop improving and more people enter the market every day and this makes even easier to hold my coins for the long term.

The main difference between bitcoin and all the other altcoins that are already on the market, is that bitcoin is always recovering from every dip, all the other altcoins, not.

Yep. BTC has given so much from knowledge about money and technology and trading and more. If you really do love what you're doing and you're passionate about it, you won't leave easily, even if it means that BTC will shoot for the moon and still miss. I once read that for one to succeed, he has to believe in what he's doing with such passion that it becomes reality. And I believe that BTC will continually improve and rise up. As for me, I will keep on hoping for BTC to moon again til it becomes reality.

That is the essence of trading, investing and selling your coins at the right time will make you profit and only your patience will be the problem because sometimes you might sell your coins at the lowest price and from there you will lose your money.

I don't have the luxury of being around Bitcoin for more than 1 bull run, or more than 1 downturn, so perhaps what I can profess is not reflective of experience to back it up, but I think I'm staying for as long as it still works and is still in use.

Price has never affected how much I am willing to earn and keep aside, nor what I spend, except perhaps I used to try and time by sells - I do it less and less now.

I'll earn as much as the price dictates, and spend as much as the price dictates.

If the price never recovered I will get out of the market, however I am a very patient person, there are some that got out of the market after a few months, but I am not like that I am willing to hold for at least 5 years before selling my coins, 5 years it a fair amount of time to let bitcoin recover, if it does not happen by that time then I will sell.

That is too much interested. I think that they have only hope that bitcoin price can respond at any time and therefore they are not going to sell or remain out from the market.

Just like in my situation here, I still hold my coins under my portfolio since in the month of January I did not convert it until now because I saw my lose was there and hopefully this month of December it will recover and get our expected profit. Many speculations that this month of December bitcoin will be bouncing back. Well, in that case, we all both know but hopefully, it will happen.

This is a question of someone who isn't involved in Bitcoin too long and obviously isn't aware of price movements over the past years. If you look back you will see periods when Bitcoin was worth only few hundred dollars. And it's not only 20000$ price that matters, like some obviously think.
Besides, Bitcoin is not all about the price, it's the whole philosophy and lifestile that stands behind it.

Of course I will stay. 6k-7k is still a small dollar mountain for every bitcoin and it's 10-25x from the values when I start buying.

There are plenty of opportunities to make money even now.

I agree with yaou, I will remain in bitcoin and even though the price is still fixed, we will wait until the price is fully recovered and even if we survive, we will wait.
because if you see the news that many say that bitcoin will sooner or later experience an increase again various parties predict it.

Actually there are so many issues that bitcoin is facing for a lot of time and in fact such news are not letting bitcoin price to increase too much. I hope that now it is the time for bitcoin price to increase and hopefully it will again reach to its highest price.

Honestly, the exit of BTC in the crypto world would be felt; as much as i think that to be far from possible, that won't make me leave. Thanks to MF Chain which is helping to build a level ground for all cryptocurrencies to coexist and thrive on a common platform, accessible to both merchants and consumers. Awesome! That is going to be the beginning of something spectacular indeed! A couple of other projects exist that can hold the fort, in the absence of "Bitcoin"

I will not leave the crypto world, even when the bitcoin prices fall at 6k-7k, even though it continues until December I will remain optimistic that one day the increase will occur and I believe bitcoin is very potential and therefore I will remain patient and wait even though in a long time

Those who learn what bitcoin is and begins to understand what bitcoin is, and might become, will never leave.

Those who spend their time on shitcoins and ico scams and eventually get rekt will most likely leave. (And come back the next bull market.)

crypto market will definitely recover in the coming months we can expect the market to touch previous all-time high very soon it is better to wait rather than regret

I think so. The total market cap will be higher in 12 months.

Apparently most of the clever investors in trading did that kind of strategies, and despite of the falling market they're still thinking about bull market. Actually we didn't have an enough factors to make the market to be bullish for now and eventhough we're expecting it through speculations here, it doesn't guarantee to happen. We should stay calm and never lose our grip with btc and crypto, because the future depends with them.

We can never know if it will recover and reach better prices than the previous good ones. Crypto is a fast thing, it moves fast, goes up fast, slows down fast accordingly. I never lose my hope because when the time comes, coins will be the real currency of the new world order.

Yeah absolutely right, bitcoin is not only about market prices and profits, many people outside using bitcoin are not only for investment but also for currency and payment methods, so even though the price drops is not a problem for them, after all if you look at the previous price bitcoin definitely recover, don't worry

Bitcoin is not all crypto currency. If it does not recover, it's not the end of the crypto currency. Even if bitcoin loses popularity and is no longer invested in it, the level of its capitalization will drop and it will cease to exercise price dominance over the remaining crypto-currencies and then other types of crypto-currency will develop freely. This may even be more interesting than the current crypto currency market.

yes of course I will stay and hold back the bitcoin that I have until the price returns to recover the price because if I sell at a very cheap price I will only get loss and lose some of my valuable assets. so I am safer to keep the assets that I have until the price returns to be very expensive, I believe bitcoin can again be expensive again.

Even if it take 2 years, I will stay with crypto. People like me who ventured into crypto for about 2 years are still a noob when it comes to waiting compared to those who are in here for more than 5 years. They experienced bitcoin not recovering for many years but they still stayed.
I hope that it will not take such a long time. we have already waited for a lot of time, but this time we are not going to wait anymore. I hope that now it is the best time to do investment in bitcoin because it is now expected that very soon bitcoin price will start increasing and will hopefully reach to 20k very soon.

to be honest that is a very confusing question because with cryptocurrency I can get a lot of profit and from cryptocurrency I can buy whatever I want so that when the cryptocurrency price does not recover then I will continue to use it for a little profit.

where else will these users go when bitcoin doesn't recover? they will stay no matter what. once you knew something like bitcoin, you earned out of it then you will keep yourself into it even if you are a newbie. those holders since the time when bitcoin was still less than $1000, they'd be here even if you are gone. they won't even convince you to come back but the price alone will let you do.

Ofcourse I will. I do not think they can win this if we play our cards right.
Cryptocurrency Trading is another good source of income... Blockchain platforms like steemit also. They could keep people from leaving Bitcoin and crypto in droves.

The nationalistic ones will leave for their national currencies and platforms

yes, I will still be in Crypto. because even though the price remains 6k-7k, I can still make a profit by trading daily. although the results are few, but we are still grateful to be able to get income that I can use for my daily needs. and also I am still active in hunting prizes from various campaigns. so whatever happens with the price of bitcoin. I am still trying to make a living in cryptocurrency.

Yes, I think I will remain in Crypto even though it hasn't recovered at the end of this year. because I think, I can still benefit by trading daily. I tried not to panic with the current situation. and I will still try to earn money on the cryptocurrency even though the price will not recover. but I still believe that later in the end of the year the price of bitcoin will definitely recover. and other coins I think will go up following the increase in bitcoin.

If this time period is only two or three years, i believe that i will continue to stay in the cryptocurrency. But if time is extended, i am afraid that my confidence will begin to waver, and finally i will leave the circle with disappointment.

Crypto currency has a very high degree of volatility by its nature. Therefore, bitcoin can not stand still. He will either fall or grow. If bitcoin does not grow in price, it will lose popularity and level of capitalization. Then the time will come when he will lose his price dominance over the other types of crypto currency. In this case, the altcoyins will develop very well. This is more than a half thousand coins and tokens, which will already be free in price. I think, then there will be something to do.

People who are staying in this industry as an investor or trader has already a good amount of experience and they already knew that the market price will pump up again someday.

Why not? bitcoin is a long term investment, i do not see any reason to do not hold it anymore, the p rices are down but this is just another time to keep accumulating

Bitcoin is too good for long term investment. Those people who are holding bitcoin for last few years I am sure that if they will continue to hold bitcoin for some more time it will surely give them a very good profit.

After investing in crypto we don't have any choices because people will wait until the price of Bitcoin price increases. People know that they are investing in the technology today the prices may be down but surely one day the prices will increase if we hold them for a certain period of time.

It's like big loyality to bitcoin, and the total to this loyal user is very large in bitcoin, they will not go whatever happens to bitcoin and from that trust that makes bitcoin valuable and will continue to recover. they will always believe that the future bitcoin will be beautiful and profitable for them..

Crypto currency will vseravno develop regardless of what will be the price of bitcoin, and bitcoin is a very small part of the crypto currency. Now there are a lot of interesting and promising coins and tokens, so we will have something to do besides bitcoin. The market itself will react appropriately if bitcoin inhibits the development of the crypto currency.

Bitcoin is not only the one that are profitable in the cryptocurrency market, there are altcoins that possibly go up if bitcoin will become stagnant. But bitcoin is known to be resilient so it is still going to recover even a prolong dips or correction so i'll be staying on it even it takes time to recover. Investors are the reason why bitcoin continuous to go up and if those investors stop buying the top cryptocurrency then bitcoin price will go down but that will hardly happen because bitcoin is more profitable than the other coins in the market.

Bitcoins will always recover no matter how the market prices are dropping because the market is based on demand and supply and that is the reason why you should always invest in the market when the prices are dumping.
