When the market in the uptrend of ICOs after the listing on the stock market has increased sharply, however, the ICO market is quite bleak. Currently, I do not buy ICO anymore because there are too many risks and I just joined the buy when it went to the floor, the profit may be less but the risk is reduced.How do you think about this problem?

actually its your own opinion to not buying altcoins in this many coming current crypto ICO and we respect for that decision,but if you look up the situation  mostly those become profitable and become wealthy in crypto investment is belong to those who continue to find those new profitable altcoins coming out now in ICO project.thats why if you not buying for now a new current altcoin maybe later if the market would pump you will regrets the chances.

Well you know buying ICO's and then waiting for them to get the new big explode could not be that fruitful since at many places the ICO's are banned.

Also ICO's aren't that great since, according to the recent survey more than 50% of the ICO's were fake, and from that 50% only 1 or 2 of them are successful .

There are so many ICO'S that the competition is very high and the possibility of being successful decreases . I think I would rather invest when the ICO have taken off.

ICO is always risky so we never know how much demand it can create even if that project is good so invest with the money which is affordable for you and ICO is mostly for short  term investors so if you want to hold them in a long term you can pick the coin which is already listed in exchanges.

As i observe this day i will prefer buy altcoins and hodl it for couple of time. ICO today is very risky because one of them are scam and your money will lost unlike buying altcoin there's a lot of potencial to be recover if incase the price is goes down.

Buying the ico is no longer meaningful because there is very little possiblility of making profit when you buy the ico. You should buy a ico if the ico price is really very cheap.

In China you can order a company to set-up your fake ICO with fake people and fake backgrounds for $500-1000... And yeah, people will fall for that.


I spoke to my friend 3 days ago, explaining her all I know Bitcoin, Crypto, ICO's and so on..  And on the question; "So, what should I buy?" the answer was fairly easy.

1. Check the ICO idea - does the plan / solution that they present make sense to you at all? Do you love it? Or do you have no clue what they say? If you don't love the idea, then let the ICO be. If you have no idea what they do, let the ICO be.
2. Once you see that you love their idea, check their team. I mean, check check. Linkedin, Facebook, Google the sh1t out of them.. Are they a real person?
3. Don't trust the "community" on Telegram groups and such, this can all be faked to death...  Keep in mind that EVERYTHING can fail, even if the ICO is real and the people are real, the company can still crash and burn.

Only invest what you can, that's what I would do.

I agree, a lot of ICO after the end of the sale, the price will drop sharply, maybe up to "-10X." It is very difficult to choose an investment object, but it is possible. :)

I have never joined or invested on any ICOs but I do join them by doing bounty for them. And will likely have a less bad feeling for me if things doesn't go right.

It is more profitable to buy an ICO before it goes on a price boom but to figure out those ICO's are really hard, it is riskier to deal with ICO's than to invest on a crypto that is already been established on the market having a working product top 10 on CMC most likely but the profit is more rewarding and proficient if joined the right one giving the opportunity to be an early adopters to the token.

If ICO's had any value then the issuer wouldn't want your bitcoin, right? But that is not the case. The ICO is specifically designed to get your bitcoin and leave you holding a bag of crap. So as to your question, a hard NO from me.

In my opinion this is not a good time to enter any ico. Only accredited investors can access good deals and by the time we enter in a public ico, we are buying their tokens at 2x 3x without taking into account the massive bonus they are receiving...

Buying tokens when the ICO project be held and buy a token when the token is already on the exchange has the same risk. I often see when the token is already on the exchange list will have a significant increase, but then only a few time its price will also decrease significantly too. You can distinguish the scam ICO project and the legit ICO project, it has many references to determine it so you can learn it. If you see the reason what I say, I just prefer to buy tokens when ICO project be held, so you can sell the token when the pump happens and sell it when it reaches ATH.

There's a lot of risk investing into ICOs now, particularly if they don't use a smart contract to automatically refund your investment if it doesn't reach its minimum caps. However, there are still some genuinely promising projects on the horizon, so I wouldn't necessarily count ICOs out from your portfolio, as you can be sure that any ICO that succeeds despite the currently bad market conditions will likely trade higher than its ICO price on the exchanges. Particularly if it has a road map that is built around building its token price. You could also check out leveraged trading as a means to earn some extra cash (see my sig).

Some part, I agree with your opinion that entering to invest during ICO is risky compared to post-ICO since it is clearer how is the reaction of the market or wider community. However, no pain no gain mate. If you selected a good ICO, you will earn the profit much higher rather than the other buyers/investors on post-ICO.

I agree with you, with the current situation of the market it is really hard to gamble on unproven coins. I would rather buy a proven and tested coin rather than buying a new and untested coin, why? because you know a great coin will soon recover its price but an untested coin will probably go high but also probably will die out.

Don't invest on any ICO if you can't take the risk because you will just lose your patient if something happened on that coin and you will just sold it even at a loss. Buying during the ICO really needs patient, well its also a good move to invest on the post-ICO because you can confirm that project really have the future and the team behind it are working hard for their project.

actually it depends on the offer of the ICO. well, we do not know what's on offer some ICO in this case. sometimes people are really interested in investing in ICO to get the benefits on offer from dev. well. I myself have done it. but it all depends on you.

Really depends on your analysis about the ICO because some ICO are really worth buying during their public sale. i think investing on ico's is not worth it right now its better to buy it off an exchange after its release because you would save alot than buying on ico because alot of people will dump their coins after the exchange especially if the project have bounty program.

Its very hard to mention any ICO issued after January 18' that held its value. Its much better to observe the market and hit for ones that are trully bakced by teams with some vision ahead.
