For good trading you must have some skills like you must have competent in market dealings and if you are aware of the market cap and knows about high potential coins and their expected values you can do good trade and it is the behavior of a good trader.

You do not need to be a good trader, you just need to know how to do the trading so that if you do it you know how you will do your strategy and you will not lose on doing the trading. It is not that hard to learn how to do that trading there are many ways on how to do the trading. You just need to understand the techniques so that it will not be hard for you to trade.

The first thing you need to do is to learn how to trade. Learning how trading is very simple, there are many platforms that you can learn trading; this forum is one of them of which you can learn from experts from free through their articles. Secondly, tradingview.com, thirdly, https://quora.com and https://www.finder.com.au/cryptocurrency-technical-analysis#what. Those are the platform I used to built my trading skills. You only need the base skills before you can start and from there you can start developing those base skills you have learnt initially. Note that as you learning, first taking steping and by doing that consistently you will become experienced. It is by doing as you learn that you can learn vey fast.

You have to explore the trading discussion where you can learn different kind of stories by successive and failed traders and also tips and strategy methods followed by the people which will really help you though than reading an article.

My suggestion will be "never invest more than you can afford to lose" and "buy low sell high"

I will suggest you look for some experience trader whom you can meet physically and learn from him and also have him as your mentor. Where this is not feasible then you learn through online may be using youtube and the project owner or support team will be ready and available to help whenever the needs arises. Learn and trade through simulation (Demo trading) for a reasonable time and fine tune your strategy before going live.

Firstly, you can learn from many sources, it can be articles, internet, or even tutorial on youtube. Enrich yourself with many ideas of how to trade safely, since it has risk. If you fail, that's the risk but when you do, it's your bonus. Even that so, don't hesitate to try, start with a little amount to see how it works, if you can see and learn from the situation you can take another step, a bigger one to get more profit of course.

Learn from many places and explore more knowledge about trading but besides all of it you have to do trading for yourself because knowledge will be useless if you not use it for real and in my view good traders is they can able to utilize almost all of situations to get decent profit but if they lost then they can forget it and moving forward without being frustrate

In my opinion to be a good trader is we should be discipline with all trading plan that already we make before. Many trader already make trading plan but they does not really follow that so finally they get loss. Without any Discipline we not possible to reach consistent profit.

I know theory isn't much interesting but at first you should know at least some basics about the trading and how it's functioning and something about the market too. So, first educate yourself.
Besides knowledge you need to use your head instead your hart, so try to control your emotions as much as possible. Some analysis skills are also important for the trader as well as to be patient.
Don't rush, take your time and with some luck you will become good trader. Just don't expect to become rich over night.

Do almost all traders trade their altcoin to btc and then immediately to usdt? That way they have usdt to buy more altcoins without worrying about price of btc? Example you could buy altcoin and it double in price. But let say btc went down. Yes when you trade altcoin for btc, you get more btc than you started with.

But let say this. You buy btc and trade it for altcoin. Now let say altcoin drop 5 percent only. Btc dropped 15 percent. Now if you sell your altcoin, you lose profit. But you are selling it for btc... but you are getting more btc than you started with because btc dropped more percentage than altcoin.

So which do you prefer here?

I prefer to improve my skills on technical analysis though study classic methods of analysis. For example I like to read books of William Gann, Bradley Cowan and look through movies on youtube about using technical indicators.

Just get the basics first and get to familiarize yourself with some trading terms, the use of indicators, the use of candles and some form of technical analysis. The whole thing depends on the level at which you are ready to learn and for the good part of it, there are so many resources these days that you can always get from the net and that has made learning a whole lot easy for a lot of people who are enthusiastic about trading effectively. You also have to understand the market as well, and that is what would really help you when it comes to making market decisions whichever way.

You might want to get a good teacher too. Or someone who would look at all your errors and would never tell lie.

Youtube is also a great help. If you are thinking about less spending then you might want to seek looking for video tutorials first.
Social media specially twitter would be a good idea to keep you updated.

It would be unsuprising to see a good trader actively try to avoid viewing or subscribing to another's analysis. Not out of arrogance but because being only human, eliminating herd mentality becomes a paramount condition. A good trader quits relying on others but rather, relies only on self generated analysis because, when it comes to Technical Analysis, self reliance is mandatory, so going solo is a must.

Appropriate knowlegde about current market , adequate knowledge about all icos , price trends these are basic traits of good trader. The main topic of discussion should be what type of trader you want to be. There are "investors" who buy into something for a long time but there are long term traders as well, long term doesn't really need to mean investment, you can buy to sell in the end however if you want to be called trader you need the part where you buy it to sell later on and not get richer by holding and trusting the company or the coin behind it.

Hence I think you need to select what you want to be, short term day trader of sorts that deals with the indicators or you want to be long term trader caring about the company too ? Being a good trader will be an easy task when you are ready to dedicate your time. If you are a student or already into some profession and then you want to trade in your part time, then just focus on research and analysis rather than being a professional or good trader.

Because, it does not mean all the good traders are capable of making huge profits all the times with their all the trades. It is proven even professional traders also book losses time to time but they might book less losses but more profits.

Many characteristic are commonly found in those individuals regarded as good traders. In my opinion, one such quality is self-confidence because its important to not be easily mislead by false information which there is plenty of. The hardest thing is to decide when to buy or sell, but if you have your own strategy which does not rely much on other people's views that would be the best.

Yeah, erickkyut is right. I also would suggest choosing an easy-to-use exchange where you can buy coins with your cards. Like CEX (https://cex.io/). This website provides a cold storage for keeping coins. But it's still better to have a hardware wallet for such purposes. Anyway, if the exchange has an option of a cold storage that means your coins will be placed in the cyberspace offline. And the exchange I've mentioned has a high level of security, so I'm quite sure you won't have problems with it.

Well, YouTube may actually have huge number of resources to learn how to trade, but can easily get you confused if care is not taken. I have always preferred the idea of articles and getting to learn some things that would help you when it comes to making decisions and familiarizing yourself as well generally on some of the things you need to know to be able to do well in your thing. It depends on each individual anyway, but there is no harm putting it all together, but at least know the basics and have a strategy before even starting to practice trading.

If you are going for day trading you need to have more skills and should train your mind for it otherwise it would be really a difficult thing to perform. My advise is never put your money for trading more than you like to loose. And never be panic at all. There also tons of videos teaching you the basics of trading 101 let remind you that trading is not easy as you thought and you might think it's the easy way to make money but it can be your downfall if you dont research it. If a coin or a project is really good, it will speak for it self. they don't need to hire promoters to sugar coat their copied and pasted white paper. You left out of your post the most important part, how do you know which coins are good to invest? How do you know when it is the time to sell and to buy? Those are the most difficult questions that most traders have and the only way to answer them is to do everything you can and read all you can find about trading and then create your own strategy based on what you read.

You have to be a good observer but doing so will not make you a totally good trader but it will help you pick the right coins first before you buy.

If you are new into this, try to have a mock trading, pretend that you buy a coin and take note how much is the coin when you bought it, then observe.

Don't forget to set a goal or target on when to Sell the coin if you plan to trade for a short period or time. When you reached the target price Sell and move on to another coin.

In this kind market, setting a high goal like 10% is not advisable, set a low goal but enough to pay for the fees and you still have profits.

In crypto, it's important to learn more advance because it's different league than ordinary stock trading.
For long term, FA is important but for short term, TA is a great choice but remember that short trading in crypto is totally unpredictable !

I been learn from all my mistake in trading, and from it i have recomendation for beginner trader, firstly you have to know the risk of crypto trading which your money can be going to zero because this market has high volatility, so to avoid that risk you have to understanding how to use stop loss and trailling stop, and then learn how to manage emotion, greedy and unpatient. And last one is learn about technical analysis.

Hiring a pro trader to educate you is very costly, I have not tried that but if one can afford that then it's a good idea.
I just feel that I can trade and educate myself with some free stuff in the internet, so why would I spend money to hire people to teach me, I could
use that amount as an additional capital so I just self educate and rely on myself alone.

Well I will not recommend a newbie to do trading in cryptocurrency because trading is very risky. The market is very unpredictable and we are talking about money. If you wish to earn do not think of an easy and fast way for it is not effective.

Join a crowd but before you join it you must be ready and find information about the activity on that particular coin then you can invest on it after. There are no criteria to be a good trader, each have their own style of trading but that doesn't mean they are a good trader. So what is a good trader? I honestly don't know what is a good trader fill me up please. Another thing that is in my mind is that before you invest your money on any coin you must be ready mentally and you must have a backup plan that might prevent fatal losses.

If you are really passionate about trading and if you are just getting started in trading as a newbie. You should do paper trading first before you put your real money into your trading account to avoid massive losses since newbies tend to lose a lot of money because of their greediness and just random analysis type of trading. Yes, reading is the smartest way out so you can learn and operate with great success in the market, but do not read any book that teaches you technical analysis and chart figures, you should focus on finding authors like Wyckoff, Livermore, who have been speculators where they in their books put their experiences and the way in which they made trading and were successful and other times they failed.

If you read those books of those two authors, you will understand the market better, you will have more arguments so that you can participate in the market in a more efficient way, that your losses stop and that you continue learning more.

Also as advice at the time of trading after reading the books would be excellent that you could apply your knowledge on a platform with money fiction, and so you take the experience necessary to face the real Exchanges.

The key is to Have proper risk management. Common mistakes that a lot of traders are doing is to simply go "all in" like they are playing poker. Do not use more than 5-10% for each position so you will not get rekt at your first trade. Don't risk 30% to earn 5%.

You have to really study if you want to become a good trader, study how the market fluctuates, study some strategies others use that was proven to be effective and most importantly experience it yourself because through experience you can fully understand how it is really done, you can start by trading small amounts and test a couple of strategies and once you fully understand the market, how it works and what strategy is best then you can increase your investments. Also please note that it may be a long way to go or process so just be patient and don't be discouraged right away if ever you fail because all traders I believe failed too but they used it as a motivation to even do better.

I can't say that being a good trader is very easily achieved overnight. Even with some tips won't make you a good trader. It needs much more than that such as knowledge, skills, market trend, up to date with the market and along with those you will become an experienced trader over the times. Only giving time cant help you anything if you cant invest the time on exact time. You have to spent the time in proper way to gather trading knowledge and to get goo experience. In this case you may do demo trading to be sure either you are making profit or not and demo trading cant help you too much real trading can give you the real experience which may play a vital role to be an expert.
