I think he really meant to say XRP. That coin is centralized and not really private. Another tip is don't listen to the hype and shillers that will tell you a coin that you are not very familiar and tells you that it has the future.

it is only looking good on paper but in reality you either don't do any of the things you listed here or do something else thinking you are doing them. for example you already have 3 points for different "checks" but these checks require going through the source code and also using the coin and the clients itself. otherwise if you are simply checking the announcement topic and the website of the  coin and think you did the "checks" then you are only wasting your time.

Number 1 and 2 are for new projects. Number 3 is for coins that already listed on the exchanges. Number 4 and 5 is a good choice of investment in cryptocurrency because the project is already run. Thanks newbie for your advice and tips on crypto investing. Others who are not anymore newbies like you are doing it the wrong way or at least they do not check the projects they invest into. It is tiring to do it detail after detail but that is what is needed so it would be either they will do it, get tired, and reduce the risks or not do it at all, not get tired, and failed and cry in the end. But if they stick to Bitcoin and other top 10 coins, they might get away from all this.

I often tend to choose to invest in high risks to make good profits because they are often projects that can help us change our lives in this market but not everyone is lucky enough to do that. Once you have accepted investing in this market, be prepared for the worst times because this market may collapse at any time.

I agree with you but not because I also hate alts but only because I don't have any experience with it yet. I am not saying that you can't make profits at all using alts because I know few friends which became succesful alt traders. That's a good assumption but you need a good amount of capital if you wanted to earn big because the value of top 10 coins is quite high which is not applicable for others that have a limited amount for investment like me which is why I do research on other project with big potential, usually the coin I'm looking for is the top 200+.

I do agree with the things listed above but at the situation that we are currently experiencing, things won't work as expected. There are many projects out there which are really promising but ends up failing or being successful but not that profitable. The market value of cryptos do suddenly fall right now, upon being listed on the exchanges. This simply implies that no matter how hard we wanted to earn profit from projects right now, the market behavior would still be a bigger factor. To add another information, this is tried and tested, and this is working. We should invest in a crypto that has a latest update or news that will surely make its market value great. Basically, the hypes created pushes the investors to spend their fiats to buy cryptocurrencies that has a huge potential in the market. But not in every time it is applicable. Bakkt was already launched and yet, the total investment is just worth 7BTC more or less, meaning to say that they need to wait a little longer for the success to come. Just like in investing in crypto, just don't think you're losing, you just need to wait for the right time.

I take point number 4 and 5 anytime, point number 1 2 and 3 will consume a lot of time and it will take a lot of time to see their potential in the market, if you choose point number 4 and 5 all you have to do is jus to be patient and hodl and support your coin because the potential to go up is high.

Those coins who have low market capitalization are shitcoins in the market and they are considered as illiquid tokens because of their low volume. You got it pretty right, before I invest I seriously to check team performance, some projects do not even follow road map sequentially as they do jump just to meet up or entice Investots, so I follow them from grassroot but as you said, investing in an old projects that has tested time is very good.
