Title: LTBcoin [LTBc] "Let's Talk Bitcoin" crypto-rewards Official Discussion Thread
Post by: crackerhead on July 27, 2014, 08:51:57 PM
About LTBcoin

LTBcoin is a brand new kind of thing. It is a crypto-rewards system where people who help LTB to be useful are rewarded for their efforts. And it’s built on Bitcoin!

LTBcoin is the proprietary token for the Let’s Talk Bitcoin Network. It is the exclusive token accepted for sponsorships. It will provide the user a significant discount in the network wide and ACT-specific e-commerce stores. It can be used in the network for tipping and will generally be useful in every corner of the LTB universe.

LTBcoin is a user-defined asset using the Counterparty protocol. Counterparty is built on Bitcoin and is secured by the Bitcoin network. Because of this, LTBcoin addresses are exactly the same as Bitcoin addresses. LTBcoin can be traded on the Counterparty distributed exchange for Bitcoin, XCP or other user-defined assets. If you haven't got a Counterpart wallet yet, visit Counterwallet.co (http://Counterwallet.co).

Summary of Mining

LTBcoin does not use computational mining. Instead, coins are distributed to the content creators, the community and the platform according to a fixed schedule. After a period of 260 weeks (5 years), all coins will be distributed and no new coins will be created.

LTBcoin is mined by PoP, Proof of Participation. Essentially if you read or listen to podcasts on the Let's Talk Bitcoin website, you have just participated in PoP. You can read the details of PoP HERE (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1L7HmE8IupFiSrfqk9BgNa4Zg9XogqtScyQjTw0k2xCc/edit)

LTBcoin is also mined by PoV (Proof-of-Value (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VogMc11WOeWB_OrcsIGD_J7F02KZ0I5zlDYTma7FJkA/edit)), and PoQ (Proof-of-Quality (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HBbuN8rmrH22kXSYiDZaRv9aR7MVrI4FB8fSrSQ37tc/edit)). If you create a show, or write an article (or ever wanted to!) either by yourself or as part of an ad-hoc group formed for the task on the forums, you’ll earn LTBCOIN not only when we publish your work to our audience (PoV), but again a month later when the performance of your work is compared against all the other work published during that week (PoQ), and then rewarded again!

LTBcoin SETUP GUIDE, with lot's of pictures. Must follow all steps to fully set up account. (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/work-in-progress-dont-reply-yet)

Why is LTBcoin Valuable?

Demand for LTBcoin is derived from the value it has as the exclusive currency used for purchasing ads on the LTB network. LTBcoin will also be the exclusive token that lets you participate in our contests, buy gear at discount in our stores, and participate in promotions and other surprises we come up with along the way!

Effective July 1st, 2014 LetsTalkBitcoin.com, the Let’s Talk Bitcoin! show, and the LTB network will only sell sponsorship space (on the web properties) or airtime (on the show) for LTBcoin, to the highest bidder, in LTBcoin, at our regular auction events.

You can get new users to use your referral link which would reduce the damage.

Heres mine if anyone is signing up http://letstalkbitcoin.com?ref=5756af5c (http://letstalkbitcoin.com?ref=5756af5c)

A few weeks and the reward of LTBc is crushed. That is how it works with these things.

You still have 5 days to earn PoP though (weekly payouts are on saturday). I made 20,000 LTBcoin last week for listening to 6 podcasts, making 10 forum posts, and commenting on a few articles. Even if I give my same effort this week, and my reward is only 10,000LTBcoin, I'll still be plenty happy with that.

Besides we want to employ the "network effect", I'd rather raise the value of LTBcoin, than earn a bunch of LTBcoin that isn't worth much.

I have two suggestions:

1. Since this is Official LTBcoin thread, maybe you should move it to Bitcoin Forum > Other > Alternate cryptocurrencies > Announcements (Altcoins) ? This is the place where all the official communication is going.

2. Adam has some issues in his guide that confused new people. I've updated his guide here: http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/work-in-progress-dont-reply-yet You can update the link on LTBcoin SETUP GUIDE, with lot's of pictures. in OP

I have to disagree with point 1. LTBcoin was launched about a month ago, and it has been in discussion for months before then. If this was a month ago when LTBcoin officially launched, it would be more in place in the Announcement section. As it is know, putting a LTBcoin in ANN section now would be misleading IMO. I decided to follow the likes of NXT and NEM, and place the official LTBcoin post here. Even if I wanted to, I am unable to move or delete this thread, that would have to be done by a mod. If they feel it should be in the ANN section, then I will gladly move the conversation there.

Thank you very much for creating that concise post about setup, I will link to that post for now on.

May you clear this for me please

1. 1 Post, equal how many LTBcoins ?

2. May you list please ALL things I can do that get me coins, and how much coin per activity, like x coins for commenting and so.

3. What is the "content" people talking about ? The blog posts or the content at content garden ?

4. How shall I calculate how much I will be having on the next Sunday ?

5. Is there any rules so the one don't bypass it ?

Didn't see you posted here as well. Well I hope this helps:

Sorry for being vague, but it is impossible to calculate the amount of LTBcoin you will receive. Every time a new person registers and is active, the pool gets diluted, and everyone earns a bit less. LTBcoins supply also gets slightly lower each week. A lot of your questions are answered at the top of this page.

1, read more about PoP, unfortunately I can not give you any exact amounts.
2. Check out the mining section on the OP, those are all the ways I am currently aware of.
3. Content includes articles, podcasts, and the forum posts. Anything you can comment on basically.
4. Here are all the stats for the weeks, scroll to the bottom for "Earning Metrics", it tells you how much each action is worth http://letstalkbitcoin.com/ltbcoin-stats (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/ltbcoin-stats)
5. The rules are don't spam. I am not sure how spammers will be dealt with, I need to talk to adam about that.

Here's a breakdown of how points are earned. I will probably put it on the top thread.

Proof of Participation (PoP)
Article comment: 4
Forum post: 4
Unique page view: 1
Magic word: 5
Post "like" received: 0.5
Newly registered (one time): 2
Note: comments, posts and "likes" have diminishing returns the more frequently they are done.

Proof of Quality (PoQ)
Published article: 25

Proof of Value (PoV)
Article pageview: 1
Article comment: 4

Affiliate Referrals
Active Referral: 10

If you have any questions about the breakdown, feel free to ask.

I've 3 questions actually

1. I can't find a releation between the above breakdown and how much you made few days ago

"I made 20,000 LTBcoin last week for listening to 6 podcasts, making 10 forum posts, and commenting on a few articles."

How the above numbers lead to 20,000 LTBcoin ?

2. Did you listen to podcasts ONLY or you entered the magic word ?

3. Could you elaborate more about the magic word please.

Thank you.

3. Could you elaborate more about the magic word please.

Thank you.

Here is my breakdown of my earnings:
16012.19503416 LTBCOIN for Proof of Participation Week 4
6320.223 LTBCOIN for Forum +5 Posts Distribution Part 4

1.  So I got 6000+ just for 5 forum posts, I believe that was the last week that you could get that bonus though.
I don't know the exact PoP breakdown (It would be great is we could get the exact stats of how many points we earned per week, unfortunately I do not have that info.).
All I can tell you is that by making about 10 forum posts, commenting on a few articles, entering the magic word 6 times, and receiving a few upvotes on my comments, I earned over 16000LTBcoin for week #4. I'm sorry I don't have a full breakdown, I would like to see that as well.

2.  I listened to the podcasts and entered the magic word for each of those podcasts, so for each of those podcasts, I got a total of (1 page view)+(5 for magic word)=6 PoP points for each podcast.

3.  Magic words are pretty simple. Just listen to the podcasts, each new podcast (as of a week or so ago), will have a magic word in it. Enter the magic word in your dashboard, and you will receive 5 PoP points. There is no predetermined place for the "magic word", making it so you are encouraged to listen to the whole episode.

How is that possible, you can only enter the magic word of the last podcast right?

Edit: you can go back 4 days apparently.

Here's a breakdown of how points are earned. I will probably put it on the top thread.

Proof of Participation (PoP)
Article comment: 4
Forum post: 4
Unique page view: 1
Magic word: 5
Post "like" received: 0.5
Newly registered (one time): 2
Note: comments, posts and "likes" have diminishing returns the more frequently they are done.

Proof of Quality (PoQ)
Published article: 25

Proof of Value (PoV)
Article pageview: 1
Article comment: 4

Affiliate Referrals
Active Referral: 10

If you have any questions about the breakdown, feel free to ask.

I've 3 questions actually

1. I can't find a releation between the above breakdown and how much you made few days ago

"I made 20,000 LTBcoin last week for listening to 6 podcasts, making 10 forum posts, and commenting on a few articles."

How the above numbers lead to 20,000 LTBcoin ?

2. Did you listen to podcasts ONLY or you entered the magic word ?

3. Could you elaborate more about the magic word please.

May you tell me

1. How did you calculate the below precisely

16012.19503416 LTBCOIN for Proof of Participation Week 4
6320.223 LTBCOIN for Forum +5 Posts Distribution Part 4

2. Could you elaborate more about the magic word, I know it don't have exact timing, but what is it bro ?

Yep that is correct, you have 4 days after the podcast was released, to submit the magic word.

I got those LTBcoin amounts by looking in my dashboard (on LTB), and clicking on notifications. There my weekly disbursements are listed. You will get paid out sometime every saurday as log as you have been active that week.

So the magic word is simply a word that the host will say. They don't hide it, just somewhere during the podcast the host will say "The Magic Word for this podcasts is....". You then enter that magic word on the LTB website. You don't have to say what podcasts you heard it on, or anything like that. You just enter the magic word, and hit submit.

I was struggling because the magic word of a last week podcast was correct but not valid, didn't know they expire so early.

Have you created an account yet, instructions are in the first page of this thread.
first go to letstalkbitcoin.com, login to your account.
Once you are logged in, you will see your username in the top right corner, click on your username.
you will see a dashboard and in the top left you will see this:
https://i.imgur.com/9k5EXoN.png
Click "Notifications". If you created the account before saturday, you should atleast have 1 payment received there.

Also I did not "stop". I will probably keep enjoying the content for a long time, and continue to get LTBcoin. I was listening to the podcasts for months before hand, now I just happen to get paid for it!

I don't have an exact number, mainly because it varies on a weekly basis. On average though, it is about 5 podcasts a week. Adam's podcast "Let's Talk Bitcoin" is about twice a week, and most other shows air about once per week.

On average I would say you are right, but if you want to be exact:
Not really, some days 2 podcasts will come out, and sometimes there are even 2 days in a row where no podcast comes out. Just trying to be as exact as possible so you don't feel mislead. Does that answer your question?

Why did you stop at 20,000 LTBcoins per week when you can make more than that ?

Another question if you don't mind.

Another member in the other LTBcoin, said that the max. you will get paid regarding posts, is 10. 10 for forum comments and 10 for article comments and so on, is this right ?

Thank you for being so helpful and cooperative with us and me specially.

Yes, thank you.

There is a question I've asked you before but you didn't get me so I will post it again.

Why did you stop at 20,000 LTBcoins per week when you can make more than that ?

Well I stopped a 20,000 LTBcoin for a couple reasons:
1. I didn't want to appear "spammy", I really like what LTB is doing and I want to be a part of that. If , for example, I just spammed their forums and acted like someone that wanted to milk them for all their LTBcoin, then they probably wouldn't trust me to do things like manage this thread.
2. Also I had no idea I would actually earn that much LTBcoin from doing what I did. I thought I would get 5,000LTBcoins max for the amount of effort I put in last week. Honestly if I knew how much I would earn, I probably would have made some more forum posts, and looked at more pages last week.

Another question if you don't mind.

Another member in the other LTBcoin, said that the max. you will get paid regarding posts, is 10. 10 for forum comments and 10 for article comments and so on, is this right ?

Thank you for being so helpful and cooperative with us and me specially.

That is 10 posts per day, comments and forum posts all count as the same, so if you have 7 forum posts, and 3 article posts, you will have your 10 post that day.

Is that what you were asking?
Ask away, I'm sure other people are wondering the same things, but just haven't asked.

Thanks

LTBcoin does not use computational mining. Instead, coins are distributed to the content creators, the community and the platform according to a fixed schedule.

The advantage is that no expensive mining has to be done to keep the transactions secure. LTBc is build on the BTC blockchain and is therefore secured by the massive hashrate of bitcoin miners. This disadvantage is that the devs control all coins. You have to trust the devs to deliver on their promise to distribute the coins.

Don't worry, I didn't forget:

So I apologize, I was wrong, there is no limit on how much PoP you can earn in a day, just the amount you earn diminishes for every post. Below is the amount you would earn if you made 10-20 posts in a day

11: 15.1
12: 15.5
13: 15.9
14: 16.2
15: 16.6
16: 16.9
17: 17.2
18: 17.4
19: 17.7
20: 17.9

Sorry about the misinformation, I will make sure to be more accurate in the future.
PS feel free to check my math, I did this fast, also I rounded up to make it more simple.

I saw this being discussed on the LTB forum, but after searching this morning, I can't find the discussion. I have messaged adam regarding this, and I will let you know the exact details when I hear back from him.

Don't forget me please :)

No problem, we all make mistakes, it's ok :)

Is this adam's reply ? If not, can you share adam's reply please ?

Thank you.

Unfortunately, in order to distribute coins in this matter, someone has to be in charge of them. Luckily every weekly distribution is completely transparent.

I can't speak for adam, but he has a great reputation, and a lot to lose if he ran off with all the LTBcoin (also, it would make his LTBcoin nearly worthless).

I want to ask something please, crackerhead, as you seem to like Math like me, but please, ultra focus.

Lets use that conversion you made

11: 15.1
12: 15.5
13: 15.9
14: 16.2
15: 16.6
16: 16.9
17: 17.2
18: 17.4
19: 17.7
20: 17.9

1. If we multiplied 17.9 (PoP earned at base 5 for the 20 posts) times 5 it will equal 89.5, so now the 20 posts have 89.5 points.

2. If we multiplied 89.5 times 100 (LTBc / Point from my mind, which is similar to the ones of the past week, I got this from here http://letstalkbitcoin.com/ltbcoin-stats) this will equal 8950, now we know the value of each point's in terms of ltbcoin

3. If we multiplied 8950 times 20 (number of posts), it will equal to 179000 (the summation of ltbcoins for each point)

Is this right ?

Sorry, I think I have had a bit too much wine tonight, to focus too hard  ;D

Starting with step 1 though, I don't understand why you multiplied by 5. Yes 1 comment would give you 5 PoS points, but 20 will only give you 17.9, not 89.5

I guess I don't understand exactly what you are trying to calculate. Why multiply 8950 by 20, and what do you think that 179,000 represents?

Maybe I am more drunk than I think, but I am quite confused  :P ;D

sorry guys, did not submit the word. Couldn't figure it out and I was already late on the episode so I didn't want to edit, remaster and reupload. Now that I see people are into this I'll endeavour to not only get it right but also make it difficult, esoteric and interesting. That means you shouldn't expect to get every one :-)

oh, and also to e-nun-ci-ate :-/

It is still worth checking out his podcast though. I personally find the Beyond Bitcoin podcasts very interesting.

16: 16.9
17: 17.2
18: 17.4
19: 17.7
20: 17.9

Is this right ?
the points are cumulative:
You get 5 points for the 1st post, then 2.5 for the 2nd, and so on. So the total after 20 posts is 17.9 pop.
Is that what you mean?

1st multiplication was for getting the total points for 20 posts

2nd one was for getting how much total sum of ltbcoins for that 89.5 points

3rd one was for knowing how much ltbcoins you will get for 20 posts

because, if you multiplied the result of the 3rd equation which is 179000 with the price of ltbcoin, and converted that number to btc then to usd, to will see a realistic number.

Well the first calculation is wrong though. 17.9 PoP is already how much PoP you earn for 20 posts in a day. to get 89.5 PoP points a day from posts, you would have to post probably over 1000 times a day!
Maybe start the calculation over with your base after step 1 being 17.9 (not 89.5).

In about 24 hours the next payout will happen, so you will get a better picture of how much your efforts are worth.

Since the magic word is fairly new, there are still a few kinks that are being worked out. The only podcast that won't have a "magic word" is the SovereignBTC podcast (since they are usually short, if they start including magic words, I will let you guys know).

With that being said, the last 2 "Beyond Bitcoin" podcasts did not have a magic word (I believe this is because they were recorded a couple weeks ago.)
All future "Beyond Bitcoin" podcasts should have a magic word, and all new podcasts (besides SovereignBTC), will probably have a magic word.
I say probably, because it's always possible the host could forget the magic word, or something of that nature.

Episode 11 of Beyond Bitcoin now has a working magic word, although have fun spelling it (I used the dictionary spelling).

Also it was my mistake with Arthur not being able to use the magic word system, his account wasn't specified as a podcaster much to my chagrin. Everything is correct now.

7am Bitcointalk default time (midnight PDT) is when the cutoff will be for earning PoP. Payout times for PoP vary greatly, all that can be gauranteed is that they will go out saturday afternoon, PDT (which is adam's timezone). That would start somewhere around 7pm BCT default time.

Distribution time varies because adam initiates the distribution once he has finished his podcast and other tasks that day.

for example here are my distribution times the past 2 weeks:
Proof of Participation Week 4 - July 26, 2014 at 6:21 PM
Proof of Participation Audience Rewards Week #3 - July 19, 2014 at 12:44 PM

Hey everyone,

You only have 7 more hours to earn PoP points this week.  :)
Any activity after midnight PDT will count towards next week.
Payouts will happen during the day tomorrow (saturday).

Could you please give us a near timing with regards to GMT timing or on BCT default time which is 12:03:32 at the time of writing this post.

Thank you.

It should be 7am BCT default time.

This is the timing of what exactly ?

As I was asking about the near time of the payout in BCT time also.

Thank you.

May you tell me please in regards to what time did you get paid the last 2 weeks.

Is there a default clock at LTB that the one can see ?

Thank you for your kindness and being super helpful, apperciated so much.

Don't know of a default clock on LTB (not a bad idea though).

Does this help?
Proof of Participation Week 4 - July 26, 2014 at 6:21 PM      (1:21AM GMT)
Proof of Participation Audience Rewards Week #3 - July 19, 2014 at 12:44 PM (7:41PM GMT)
is that what you mean? Bitcointalk default time is GMT time. Check out this calculator here:
http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/usa/pacific-time/convert/ (http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/usa/pacific-time/convert/)

Thank you for elaborating.

I need your help regarding the exchnage

1. We will get the payout in our ltbcoin wallet (countersomething.co)
2. We will move them to our wallet at Meltoic exchange wallet
3. We will sell ltbcoin and buy bitcoin
4. We will send that bitcoin to our final wallet.

A. Is all what I said is right ?
B. How fast is the exchange process is done at Melotic ? Is it Automatic ?
C. Is Melotic totally legit ? No worry of scams or anything ?
D. If you don't mind, add in details to this mini-guide anything I've forgotten to be a guide for all of us.

Thank you.

Everything is like you said, a few things to note:
Melotic functions just like any other exchange (bter, cryptsy, etc). You can place a buy or sell order, the market is LTBc/BTC.
Note I waited over an hour for my LTBcoin to transfer from counterwallet to melotic, but it eventually showed up.
Once you trade your LTBc for BTC, you can send the BTC from melotic back to the same wallet that you had your LTBcoin in.

Here is what adam wrote about melotic, taken from here: http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/ltbcoin-now-trading-on-meloticcom-exchange?page=1 (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/ltbcoin-now-trading-on-meloticcom-exchange?page=1)  I personally have very little experience with melotic, and I would never advise to keep large sums of coins in any exchange unless you are actively trading them.

Quote
Hey folks, I'm pleased to announce that after a good conversation about useful assets with Jack Wang over at Melotic.com, LTBCOIN has been listed to trade on a exchange for bitcoin. Jack comes highly recommended, and I believe this platform is safer for trading than the forum.

https://www.melotic.com/markets/ltbcoin-btc

BEFORE YOU DO ANY TRADING: Please remember that LTBCOIN is a VERY new crypto-token, and so while it is being issued on a long term deflationary schedule, in this initial bootstrapping "lets get everybody involved" period it is highly inflationary.

Every friday we release the weeks allocation of LTBCOIN to content creators and the audience. We have no idea how the price will perform because this is literally the first user-created-asset to be listed on a centralized exchange that hasn't already been crowdfunded to a fixed amount (as with Maidsafecoin), so we are in uncharted waters.

Good luck!

There is something I can't understand

Now you made a couple of posts, a listen to few podcasts and all these things and you earned

Here is my breakdown of my earnings:
16012.19503416 LTBCOIN for Proof of Participation Week 4
6320.223 LTBCOIN for Forum +5 Posts Distribution Part 4

I saw now my token balance, it passed 10k with insane difficulty.

Win I calculated that 10k with 0.00000285 it gave me around $10

Is there something wrong I'm making or what is wrong ?

I've made about 50 posts and listened to nearly all the podcasts of this week !!

And could you tell me please how to EXACTLY sell my LTBcoin on Melotuc as I don't know yet.

Thank you.

first of all you have to transfer 0.0005 BTC(just go to counter wallet and click on actions and then transfer and it will tell you the exact ammount you need to send) to your counter-wallet then transfer the LTBcoins to Melotic
and put an order with the desired price ... if you want instant sell you have to put an order with the price from the buy section

Here's my stats, I earned .45 percent of the available PoP, and earned 100 PoP points, that gave me  7500 LTBcoins this week.
So now I don't think you are doing it wrong, and in fact you are obviously doing it better than me if you earned 10k. The payouts diminish because while more people register, the weekly payout actually slightly decreases.

I personally don't know a whole lot about melotic. I sold 5,000LTBcoin essentially to test it out. I plan to hold onto my LTBcoin for a little while longer atleast. In my opinion it is currently undervalued, but I am absolutely no expert on the matter.

Here is the easiest way to sell your LTBcoin. in your account, melotic will give you a adress to send the LTBcoin, once that clears (it take awhile), go here: https://www.melotic.com/markets/ltbc-btc

scroll down a bit, and choose the buy order: currently the top 1 is:

amount in BTC you will get    0.01579200

confirm and you will get BTC. You are also able to place a sell order, but that is more work.

Thank you for elaborating bro.

What I want to say is, before weeks or two, you and belltown made around 0.088 BTC

Now, I didn't exceed the 0.02 BTC.

How that come and I made I commented, made threads and entered magic words in high numbers.

This is a major drop, I still don't understand how that came !!

How much LTBcoin you earn doesn't necessarily correspond to how much someone is willing to pay for it. In my opinion LTBcoin is currently undervalued (but again, I AM NOT AN EXPERT). If you really need the .02BT then cash it out, if you can afford to hold out for a better price, you can do that as well.

LTBcoin is still very new, and it's value is still changing rapidly on a daily basis.

If you went to belltown thread and saw how much he made in a week and compared it to me, you will find that, and don't panic, I was expecting around .5 BTC

compared my effort to belltowns one.

The question is, why didn't I reach the SAME result of belltown even, taking into consideration that I out an effort 5 TIMES OR MORE than him.

Got it bro ?

I think we are both misundertsanding each other.

beltown received the most PoP this week because he dominated the referral system. No one else came close to the amount of refferals he got. Even so, he didn't earn close to .5BTC this week either. In fact, he probably earned less BTC this week than last. I am sorry that you thought you would have earned .5BTC this week. I did not mean to give you that impression.
The reason beltown made so much LTBcoin this week is because he had almost a third of all the refferals this week. Now that people know how important referrals are, more people will collude to get referrals, and they won't be worth as much. This is exactly what happened last week with comments, people earned a lot of PoP making comments the week before, people caught on, and now that everyone is doing it, each comment is worth less.

Does that make sense?

I have never had any luck with trading in the counterparty wallet. I would suggest transferring your funds to melotic, I can verify melotic works, as I've used it myself.

That wraps up this week's community roundup but in the meantime, head on over to the boards (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/board/all) and engage in some great discussion and you just might see your name and thread in the next roundup.

Proof of Quality, and Proof of Value, apply to content creators. Content creators are anyone that writes an article or creates a podcasts, for LTB.
First the content creator receives PoQ points for submitting a qualifying article or podcast.
Then after 1 month, the article or podcast is analyzed for the PoV award. PoV points are awarded in relation to how many page views and comments the article or podcast received over the past month.

A really thought provoking article. Read the article and post your opinions on the matter!

August 04, 2014 Crypto for Change - Is this Wall Street's Kodak Moment? (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/blog/post/crypto-for-change-is-this-wall-streets-kodak-moment)

"On July 29, 2014, Patrick Byrne, CEO of Overstock - one of the world*s largest online retailers - launched a wiki page where he invited open discussion about the best way for a public company to completely bypass entities like NASDAQ and the New York Stock Exchange and issue its securities on a decentralized platform similar to Bitcoin."

I don't really know about the whole Overstock thing but I have to tell you (even if I might be shooting myself in the foot) that the Counterparty Asset Exchange works pretty well so long as you aren't involving BTC in your orders.

Its a bit scary putting orders in because they always cost a fee but a lot of the time they get filled, even if the process seems bumpy and unreliable.

I have a feeling a lot of these problems will be ironed out in the near future when they release the newest Counterwallet software in the next month or so.

Interesting, I have never tried to trade inside the counterwallet, just because I have only heard bad things. I'm glad it worked out for you. May I ask what you were trading?
I may need to give it a try myself.

LTB / XCP works pretty well. I've also traded LTB / BTC and  BTC / XCP but apparently you have to leave your wallet running in order for an order to go through. The time between placing an order and receiving funds is usually much longer than your average exchange, but this is the cost of decentralization and doing things with a not-for-profit mindframe.

The very fact that you can "own stock" in a talent of some sort, is revolutionary. Imagine if you had seen Nirvana in concert before they blew up with "Smells like Teen Spirit" ?  Imagine if you just knew ... JUST KNEW ... these guys were going to be huge.  You saw the talent.  You wished you could cash in on your prediction.  Now you can.

Everyone I tell this story to hates Nicki Minaj but I knew she would become huge in her genre.  I remember sitting there 5 years ago with a group of friends telling them she was going to blow up soon.  I knew it was going to happen, and I actually said out loud:  "I wish I could buy stock in her, rather than have to buy stock in the stupid record label.  Assuming they're even publicly traded".

Likewise, I own my own online social networking website with several hundred thousand users.  I am seriously considering adding this tool to the site, to encourage participation, draw content writers out of my audience, and engage my users with a profitable stake in our community.  Everything about this concept is brilliant.

I agree, Adam's a smart guy. The PoP model seems to be working well for his site. Its funny to watch people break down social interaction in terms of payment potential, but there's definitely something to "crowdsourcing" an author or artist in this fashion.

If you were Nicki Minaj you'd still have to worry about the Minajcoin dev taking off with your BTC tho...

in a couple of weeks, LTBc will just be a mere token of participation. Value will go down (large supply) and more people on the forum means less for you.

Already getting some interest. Ebay and others will look at this particular example soon.

I can see this being common in the near future, especially with so many platforms available to issue tokens.

Right now LTBcoin is only really used to pay for adspace on the LTB Network. As the network keeps growing, the uses for it will grow exponentially.
Game shows, tipping system, more content, it's all coming.  :)

LTB Community Roundup #4 (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/blog/post/ltb-community-roundup-4)
Published on August 11th, 2014 by Mike (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/profile/user/coinfire)

The Let's Talk Bitcoin community seems to always be teeming with activity and since the last time we spoke (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/blog/post/ltb-community-roundup-3) even more great discussions have been taking place.

Turn asked, "What are you mining" (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/what-are-you-currently-mining) which is prompting an interesting discussion regarding the various altcoins that various members are currently mining. Are you currently mining or have you given up? Chime in and let the community know your thoughts.

Adam is preparing for the next version of the Let's Talk Bitcoin iOS application and is soliciting your feedback (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/first-round-of-improvements-for-ltb-ios-app-chime-in) for what the next version should have for improvements. Take a moment and let him know what features you want to see or give him some confirmation that they are heading down the right path.

taylanu (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/dogecoin-is-going-to-be-merge-mined-with-litecoin?page=1) wants to know what the community thinks about the announcement that Dogecoin would be changing the mining system so that it can be merge mined with Litecoin via a new proof of work system.

What are your thoughts about bitcoin ETFs? Do you think they will have a major impact on the price? An interesting discussion around this is taking place in this thread. (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/nasdaqs-lavalle-bitcoin-etf-a-turning-point)

Bitcoin is being treated as a currency by many. You use currencies to purchase things so this thread is asking what have you bought with bitcoin? (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/what-have-you-bought-with-bitcoin)

What are your favorite ways to earn Bitcoin? (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/whats-your-favourite-to-earn-bitcoin) Perhaps you aren't a miner and this thread asks you to share your various ways of earning bitcoins.

In the world of speculation user Turn is curious as to what you think the price of bitcoin will be in one year. (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/in-one-year-what-do-you-speculate-the-price-of-bitcoin-to-be) This thread is bringing out some interesting thoughts and I'm certainly curious to hear what you are thinking.

If you are looking for a discussion regarding cold storage solutions (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/cold-storage-solutions) than look no further. A discussion is taking place regarding the various options. Do you have a favorite one? Be sure to chime in.

What do you think about bitcoin conspiracies? This thread (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/new-article-bitcoin-suspected-to-be-nsa-or-cia-project) is about a bitcoin conspiracy theory that has cropped up recently. It certainly makes for an interesting discussion!

I'll do my best to keep scouring the message boards each week to find just some of the gems but if you haven't joined yet (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/dashboard) now is the perfect time to get in on the action.

That is a great question, you may not like my answer much though.  :)
I try to not speculate prices, regardless of the coin. If you were asking me about Bitcoin, I would say the exact same thing. With that being said, I believe LTBcoin will raise in value significantly over the next year. 5 years is an incredibly long time, but if the network keeps growing at the same rate, then I'm pretty confident LTBcoin will have a substantial market cap by then.

I have heard that rumored, but haven't seen it confirmed by a dev such as adam or cryptonaut. Have you heard it confirmed, have a link by any chance? Personally I somewhat used that strategy anyways, just because it was convenient for me.

Posting more than a couple times a day makes it feel like a chore, so that 2 post part I have always done. Also my favorite times to post are when I wake up, and before going to bed, so my posts end up being spread out naturally.

Crackerhead, how do you see the future of LTBcoin ?

Let me put it this way. I have seen many coins over the past months (I first got into alt coins with nxt in december). There are only a couple "coins" that I have seen along the way that I felt were significant enough to promote, and LTBcoin is one of them.

No one else comes close to delivering as much honest content as the LTB Network. I believe that with or without the crypto-rewards program, LTB will continue to grow exponentially. Once LTB network goes mainstream, I don't see why LTBcoin wouldn't follow as well.

LTB Community Roundup #5
Published on August 20th, 2014 by Mike (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/profile/user/coinfire)

The Let's Talk Bitcoin community growth seems to never just stop. The past week has seen the creation of more threads, more new users, and even a greater flurry of activity.

Each week I attempt to bring you just some of the highlights and things that are taking place in this community. Here is a small sample.

One topic that has been on the mind of many people across all communities over the past week has been the price of bitcoin, and one theory that is being discussed is what impact margin trading has had on the bitcoin price. (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/did-margin-trading-crash-the-price-of-bitcoin)

What are some bitcoin sites that you are following besides Let's Talk Bitcoin? This thread (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/what-bitcoin-sites-blogs-and-shows-do-you-follow) asks just that question and has a growing list of great resources from various members of the community. What are some of your favorites?

Here (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/ethereum-cartoon) is a fun post that made me smile and showed off the talents of one our great community members, greenguitar28. How much fun is that?!?

Our fearless leader Adam took to the forums to announce a new podcast built around Dogeparty. More details about it can be found on this thread (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/dogeparty-podcast).

I've seen some threads regarding "addiction" to cryptocurrency on the forums before, but this one (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/doctor-doctor) is seeing some activity from various members of the community.

Let's take a drive down the road of speculation for a moment in this thread regarding the price of LTBc in five years. (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/how-much-would-ltbcoins-value-in-regards-of-btc-after-the-5-years-have-passed-)

Different cryptocurrencies bring different advantages to the table, and this thread (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/what-coins-value-representation-attracts-you-the-most) asks which of those you feel attracts you the most. Be sure to take a moment and leave your thoughts.

The Dogeparty Dogecoin burn is still ongoing. You can find some interesting discussion about just that here on Let's Talk Bitcoin (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/400-million-burned-already-dogeparty).

Until next week, keep creating great new threads and you just might see yours featured in the roundup.

Wow, now we are up to rank 10. This should end up being pretty easy to get listed here. I am a bit worried about their exchange volume overall for that exchange, but this will still be a great start to getting on more popular exchanges.

LTB Community Roundup #6
Published on August 28th, 2014 by Mike (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/profile/user/coinfire)

While Adam might be taking a much-deserved vacation, things are still in full swing here at Let's Talk Bitcoin with new content and posts from members of our community still flowing in daily.

If you haven't yet registered (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/?ref=794662c2) for the site let me and encourage you take a brief moment and do so. Then head over to the Introduce Yourself (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/introduce-yourself) thread where you will find a very welcoming and friendly community ready to greet you.

What would you do if you awoke tomorrow and found bitcoin was suddenly gone? (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/what-do-you-think-if-tomorrow-bitcoin-discontinue) How would you react? Chime in with your thoughts.

It looks like Mark Karpeles of Mt. Gox has started a new web hosting company. This isn't his first foray in to that space and it has prompted a discussion regarding his latest venture. (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/mark-karpeles-of-mtgox-starting-a-new-company)

Cash, credit, debit or Bitcoin? When will this be a standard question we here on a regular basis while shopping? This thread has some discussion on the topic.

How did you initially discover bitcoin? (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/flashback-do-you-remember-how-do-you-know-bitcoin-at-first) Share your experience.

Let's take a moment to look at some other cool things our members are doing. Are you interested in a bitcoin keychain? Did you know that they are for sale via the LTB Auctioneer platform? Check out this thread (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/bitcoin-keychain-ltb-auctioneer-auction) for full details.

How are you using bitcoin? Where are you are spending your coins, what types or goods or services are you using them actively for? This thread (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/what-is-your-favorite-place-or-way-to-spend-bitcoin-what-types-of-goods-or-services-do-you-use-bitcoin-for-most) is asking those sort of questions. Drop in and let us know what you are doing with your coins.

As stated in this thread (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/beware-fake-bitpay-invoices#post-25432) beware of phishing attempts from people trying to steal your coins. I am highlighting this thread because it is important to alert people to attempts like this one that uses fake BitPay invoices. Always be vigilant!

If you are a miner or thinking about mining check out this thread (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/what-to-mine-and-still-stay-profitable) where the question of what you should be mining to stay profitable is being explored.

I hope you'll join me this week in leaving some thoughts on these threads and I'll see you next week for another roundup.

It's a chemical used in the wine industry and is made by two separate words (with the space in the middle).
It has also something in common with werewolves movies, pm me if you find it thanks.

I've actually been a user of the bitcoin buzz app that had "LetsTalkBitcoin" podcasts in the mobile app with stream functionality.  Then something happened to it the podcasts in the app, as they wouldn't display anymore- but i was using it for months to keep up to date on things. I was very satisfied. It seems like they are pulling in LetsTalkBitcoin Blog announcements into the mobile app instead of only the Podcasts.  I sent them an email, and they responded with the fix to the blog announcements.

I haven't jumped on board with this coin yet, but I've been very pleased with the progress Adam and the LetsTalkBitcoin team has made thus far.

I think the issue was with their RSS feed. I noticed the past couple weeks that the app wouldn't upload certain podcast feeds (and that's also why the latest Beyond Bitcoin podcast didn't show up on the main site till yesterday.). However it all seems to have been fixed yesterday, not sure if your issue was related, but I'm glad it worked out for you in the end.

BTW You say you haven't jumped on board with the coin yet, have you atleast created an account, and submitted some magic words? You might as well, if you are already listening to the podcasts, it's pretty much free money at that point.

Hello,
I'd like to attract more people to the LTB forum, this means more competition for LTBc and possibly a price increase on melotic.
Do you have any ideas as where to advertise or how to spread the word.
Any feedback is welcome.

The easiest and cheapest option I can think of is to advertise for LTBcoin in your bitcointalk signature.
Also if you like a certain crypto related blog/radio/etc, contact the author and see if they will be willing to accept a donation in LTBcoin (To start, I have personally donated to ChainRadio with LTBcoin a few times).

I agree, if I was fluent in any other language I would have volunteered to be a moderator by now. I think it will be under control soon, and the recent changes to PoS have probably curbed spamming a bit. I am very curious to see what my LTBcoin payout will be, now that PoP algorithm has been changed for more than a week now.

If anyone is interested in reading about what the devs are up to when it comes to moderating the forums, check out this thread:

What's the reason LTBc isn't listed in the announcement section?

Yes, true, try and advertise for the website.
Tell friends, tell people on twitter, facebook.
Update your signature, send messages to exchanges like bittrex / c-cex to ask for LTBc implementation.
Try and convince major players in the altcoin space on twitter of the importance of Pop and LTB.
And so on...

LTBcoin is doing great, the active userbase is growing 100+ users most weeks.

Originally I created this thread here to keep the spam down, now that anti-spam measures have been put in place at letstalkbitcoin, I agree this thread should be in the announcement section. Also a lot of alternative blockchain coins were putting their threads in this section, so it seemed like a good fit at the time. I guess it just comes down to figuring out which mod to talk to about that at this point.

Yeah they did, it was also jokingly suggested that LTB had a part to play in persuading youtube to start accepting tips. (I think LTB probably had much more influence on quark then youtube, but I'll let you guys decide that)  ;D

The trading volume is quite low at the moment, Melotic is still slighty better, several traders didn't move to Poloniex.

The trading volume is quite low at the moment, Melotic is still slighty better, several traders didn't move to Poloniex.

Poloniex is for sure the more well known/experienced exchange, but melotic has proven to be reliable, and from what I have heard, they have a good team behind them.

Also a lot of people still don't know that they can trade LTBcoin at Poloniex, it will be interesting to see where people unload their weekly dividends in a few days.

LTB Community Roundup #7
Published on September 18th, 2014 by Mike (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/profile/user/coinfire)

Welcome to another edition of the LTB Community Roundup.

This week we are going to take a quick trip around the highlights of discussion on the Let's Talk Bitcoin network.

Bitcoin is falling awfully close to the US$400 rate, and now might be the time to buy some cheap coins. What are your thoughts regarding the dip in price? (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/bitcoin-close-to-400)

In the "interesting use of a token" department, @wildjo (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/profile/user/wildjo) is looking at the potential for establishing an island sanctuary for everyone. The concept certainly is an interesting one and warrants some discussion. What are your thoughts? (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/founderxcp-crypto-eco-sanctuary)

What is your favorite wallet? Are you using a web-based wallet, a hardware-based wallet, or something installed on your computer or mobile device? Check out this discussion (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/whats-your-favorite-wallet) and let others know about your favorite wallet.

Has something scary happened to you with bitcoin? (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/scariest-bitcoin-moment) The author of this thread asks exactly that. Perhaps you lost your private keys, or you corrupted some files and panicked. Come share your story.

Looking for pure speculation? (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/guess-on-what-bitcoins-price-will-be-in-2020) Check out this thread that asks what the price of bitcoin will be in 2020? What are your honest thoughts?

What do you think about a company making a new token-based system that lets you exchange the value of BTC off the blockchain? SilentVault has launched and a discussion regarding the technology is taking place right here on the forums. (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/company-releases-technology-to-perform-off-ledger-transactions) What are your initial thoughts regarding this technology?

It looks like frequent Let's Talk Bitcoin contributor @tim-swanson (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/profile/user/tim-swanson) has joined Melotic. Head on over to this thread to say congrats. (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/frequent-ltb-author-tim-swanson-joins-melotic-exchange)

How much time do you spend online? (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/how-much-time-you-spend-online) This thread has been growing and asking this very question. Be sure to drop by and let everyone know your online habits and your thoughts regarding balance.

Are you a fanatic about checking the price of bitcoin? How often do you check? (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/how-often-do-you-check-prices-bitcoin) These are the burning questions asked in this thread.

What if a group of people decided to start burning LTBcoin? This thread (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/burning-ltb-coin) is asking just that. This is sometimes seen as a way to increase a coin's value. What are your thoughts? I am really curious to see what others are thinking.

Will you join me in starting one new discussion post this week? I am always looking for new and insightful things that potentially challenge my current thought processes and make me think in new ways.

See you in the community!

current value is 160 satoshi, future is bright. is unique and brings something new. best you read this thread and go to forum. there you will actually earn them just by posting or listening shows.

we just recently got EARLY. EARLY is a special token that will give you access to some parts of forum. And is tradable. So there might be fight for them pretty soon.

When LTBcoin started, what gave it value was the fact that LTBcoin must be used to buy ad space on the LTB network. Currently more methods are being examined, such as TCA (http://letstalkbitcoin.com/). Anyone that wants to have their own private forum page on LTBcoin can do so with 50,000LTBcoins. LTB has been incredibly innovative, they are the main reason coins like storj and quark adopted a forum system that rewards active users.

In short, I think LTBcoin has value because they are the trailblazers in their field. More and more you will see people looking at LTBcoin to see what they should do next.

Looks like I just put teh first vote on the board  :)

There is something wrong with their bter points though. I have traded multiple times, totaling to be about .5BTC worth, yet I only have 900Bter points to vote with. Taken from the vote page, I should have atleast 2,500 BTER points:

Quote
Tips: You gain BTR when you are trading. About 5000 BTR per BTC trading.

If someone has been able to earn bter points at a more fair pace, please let me know, thanks guys.

Had an upgrade which screwed it up for some. Wait for a day and try again.

I would have much preferred a desktop wallet for counterparty. Trusting everything on an online entity is risky.

We're proud to announce that we have finished our airdrop! If you hold at least one of the Counterparty based assets listed below, YOUR WALLET maybe one of the lucky recepients. We divided the 4,600,000 KarmaToken (KTN) Airdrop fund among 9000 wallets and everyone of them received 511 KTN, IF YOU HOLD THESE ASSETS ON CRYPTO EXCHANGES, BE SURE TO ASK THEM TO CREDIT YOUR ACCOUNT! Those KTN are yours!

We will be requesting POLONIEX, BITTREX and BLEUTRADE to list KTN on their exchanges ASAP. You can also do the same personally. BTW If you have installed a Counterparty based APP, like Indiesquare and Book of Orbs, chances are some of them have received the KTN too.

At this point we have sent ALL the 4,600,000+ airdrop fund shares of the following Counterparty asset holders:

KARMATOKEN - Lucky 72 wallets, the asset group received a total of 36,792  KTN

CTGTOKENS - Lucky 21 wallets, the asset group received a total of 10,731 KTN

TOKENLY - Lucky 10 wallets, the asset group received a total of 5,110 KTN

PEPECASH -Lucky 661 wallets, the asset group received a total of 337,771 KTN

PROTOXENIUM - Lucky 58 wallets, the asset group received a total of 29,638 KTN

BITCRYSTALS - Lucky 842 wallets, the asset group received a total of 430,262

FLDC - Lucky 1,905 wallets the asset group received a total of 973,455 KTN

SJCX - Lucky  3164 wallets the asset group received a total of 1,616,804 KTN

LTBC- Lucky  2264 wallets the asset group received a total of 1,158,948 KTN

As much as possible, we avoided sending 511 to the same address holding multiple assets listed above. We  are happily human :D

Congratulations once again. You now have the tokens of goodwill ambassadors! Welcome to the Good Karma Society. (http://www.karmatoken.net/about-us)
Our Indiesquare wallet installation PROMO (https://www.facebook.com/events/1819165481695300/) is still going on for another 100 KTN.

Hey dude I have the same problem. My coins are stuck in poloniex. U cant send the coins right now, u have to wait til they have solve the issue.
I wrote Adam Levine an email to ask what to do because of the poloniex situation and how long can i swap the coins ltbc --> po.et

he told me
>>it'll be available at least until the Poloniex situation is resolved<<

I also wrote poloniex a Ticket and got a response

Dear Sebastian ....,

Unfortunately the wallet isn't working properly so we temporarily disabled it.

Please rest assured we are working to have the wallet re enabled soon as possible but currently there is no estimated time when this will happen. Once the wallet is re enabled deposits will credit automatically and withdrawals will be enabled.

Thank you for your patience and we're sorry for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,
Poloniex Support Team

I wrote Adam Levine an email to ask what to do because of the poloniex situation and how long can i swap the coins ltbc --> po.et

he told me
>>it'll be available at least until the Poloniex situation is resolved<<

I've had coins stuck in Polo for several months now. Given the fact that LTBC is a Counterparty token, which uses the bitcoin blockchain, its hard to believe that their wallet is "broken." More likely they just don't have the tokens and have no way of getting enough to cover their balances.

This has been the case for several other coins there as well, including coins with perfectly functioning wallets. They won't bother responding to you unless you threaten them with legal action. Believe me.

Long story short, don't use Poloniex, or count on them to resolve your issue.

I kind of lost all faith in Levine when Dogeparty went bottoms up without giving any explanation as to why.

You have some cool stuff in here... COMICCOIN are a bit hard to come by, even if the supply is very high. Then you have something called PETAMINE which I never heard of before even though I used to follow Let's Talk Bitcoin back in the day. The first PETAMINE was issued back in June 2014, which makes it exceptionally old, the last issuance was in Sept 2014.

https://xchain.io/asset/PETAMINE

From the archived version of the URL in the description (https://web.archive.org/web/20140922212602/https://letstalkbitcoin.com/forum/post/petaminexcp-mine-bitcoin-with-your-counterwallet):

Quote
PetaMine is a hosted mining project with current capacity of 1150 TH/s of hashing power. Each unit represents 1 GH/S of mining power with daily dividend payout. Core hardware for the mine are the 28nm chip units from Cointerra and Bitmine and optimized chip from BitFury. These devices have outstanding specifications when it comes to power consumption and hashing power, which, in turn, means CryptX will be able to keep power and hosting costs at a minimum ($0.15 per GH per month).

BIPFORUM looks like it was for token-gated website access at some point, which makes it akin to EARLY.

I'd be interested in taking your EARLY off your hands if you're interested. Feel free to shoot me a DM.

Whoah... You got some nice stuff in here. This is what you need to do:

1. Deposit some BTC in the address to open Dispensers ($3-$4 per transaction).
2. Research the lowest dispenser prices for the tokens you want to sell. For example, pull up the block explorer entry for FOLDERPEPE (this would probably be your fastest seller):

https://xchain.io/asset/FOLDERPEPE

Next, click on the Dispensers tab to see what prices people are currently selling them for:

https://talkimg.com/images/2024/03/14/Jd7bl.png

Next, click on the Dispenses tab to see when the last one was sold:

https://talkimg.com/images/2024/03/14/JdBS1.png

So its kind of slow-mover Pepe but there's only 600 which is a relatively low-ish supply, and it is very well distributed.

So if you want to sell it quick, I would put 5 in a Dispenser at a price 0.007 BTC or something (mind you BTC is currently at ATHs).

I made a guide for how to open & use dispensers (https://dogermint.com/dogeparty/#6c), but it is for Dogeparty, which is a clone of Counterparty, so most things are the same.

Good luck, Let me know how it goes. If you need any help you can ask here or PM. Watch out for scammers.

Hey thanks for the super quick reply! I figured this was dead in the water.  I somehow got scammed out of one of the FOLDERPEPE cards a while ago on the counterpart DEX.  I have no idea how, as i did the exchange, but the XCP was debited from my wallet shortly after the transaction.

Anyway, I know that the LTBCOIN and SOVEREIGNC are prob just junk that was dropped into my wallet, but man....those dollar signs make me dream!  There is already about $85 in BTC in that wallet that was used when I used to fold@home for FLDC.  Thats kinda what got me into the whole crypto thing years ago.

That is odd... If anything, sounds like your wallet is compromised. Or else you just received a tiny amount of XCP.

None of it is "junk" to the right collectors, hell I'd take a SOVEREIGNC if you are feeling generous (my BTC address is in my profile) and send you something obscure back.

In the future there will be a bigger market for this kind of thing, just as there was with the "Historical NFT (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5406123.0)" movement which started in mid-2021.

There will be more collectors for these knicknacks in the future is basically what I'm thinking.

I might just sit on this wallet and forget about it for a few years again and maybe sees what comes of it.  I've just been sticking with BTC/ETC the last few years and purely just for growth.  I've lost interest in crypto "projects" that almost always end up dead in the water.  Not knocking it...but its just not for me anymore.  Been doing the crypto thing for over 10 years now and I'm not getting any younger - the imaginary dollar signs I saw when I checked this wallet just made me daydream of retirement for a moment lol.
