POStoken and DeepOnion came onboard almost the same time with the vibe and strong community support. Unfortunately POStoken dev didn't ensure steady improvement were executed on the project like DeepOnion did with Tor integration and DeepOnion forum which incentivizes the community for active participation in social media. Instead POStoken took to lending platform when the biggest of it all Bitconnect was in the middle scam  FUD, along side others like DavorCoin, RegalCoin etc.,

I am not trying to FUD because I am a holder that purchased tokens and not gotten from airdrop but I hope this is a genuine intention to revive this beautiful project and not just to raise the hope of people who will buy into the project and then you dump your own tokens because you just created a new account to make this ANN? Maybe you are just afraid to be associated with failure in the event where the revival ends up not working out as planned. By the way, I don't fancy the concept of lending anymore. Wish the community can come up with something else more original

Snaphot is 100 times better than swap, because for the moment nobody can judge your honesty, competence and commitment, so many people would rightfully be not inclined to "swap" their tokens with the new ones at this early stage. Snaphot on the other side would be a guarantee for all.

Another Thought is Scrap the lending platform idea.. Just retain the POSTOKEN pos functionality.

As for the snapshot, You can disregard the Devs Postoken holding. Just mark the address of the dev and don include them for the airdrop :D

There will be a lending platform but totally different from the original one. It is a new concept that will be presented when the proper announcement will be posted.

When the project kicks off and starts running smoothly, a lot of people will buy into it as the prize goes back up and most of them might not be aware of the swap. I would suggest you perform the swap with the current block as of the time of swap just to be fair to all. The prize jumped up 200% gain yesterday following this news. I still see a lot of traders and pump chasers buying more of it without the knowledge for the reason of the pump. I see someone suggesting you exclude old dev wallets. Cryptocurrency's inherent attribute is anonymity, how are you going to know the old dev wallet? Did they lock their token holdings until a specific unlock time is reached? Going through etherscan, I noticed the top three holders have 9, 8 and 7% share of the token supply respectively, which amounts up to 24% of the total token supply. If this is the Dev's account, they can wreck the new effort at will. Any suggestion on how we will tackle this issue?

a snapshot is the easiest solution, but what i'm also interested in reading is what are the backgrounds of the new team members, what are their plans, how can they develop postoken further?

But if you only snapshot a block you disappoint all the users which have open withdrawals at the lending platform. I have over 500 POS Token waiting for withdrawal and with a snapshot i won't get new POS Token, i will get nothing :/

We will analyse the the snapshot and token movement over the months. Also we have decided until now that will be 2 types of swaps and users should decide which one they decide to be interested in.

For now we are looking to find the best option for the future work, soon, most probably by the end of the week, we will have settle all the details and we can start the new airdrop and our bounties.

Yeah - I don't quite understand the rush of certain coins to convert into ERC20 tokens. Now you're gonna need ether to send your coin around - I don't see the upside for this.

Any of you can contribuite more than you believe to this project. Any share or any information distribuited, will spread the word.

Well my point is simple. If I like your XYZ coin/token, I don't like to be forcibly needing to buy another coin/token, namely ether, just to pay for gas to be able to send your XYZ coin from my address to another address.

If I like your coin/token, I want to buy just your coin, not your coin and some ether.

Removing ether from the equation means starting a completely new blockchain, not merely being a contract on another blockchain: now a brand new Solidity coded smart contract blockchain that operates with PoSP instead of PoW - now there's some innovation!

I know it's much easier to just make a new Ethereum contract and create a new token (takes one hour, apparently) - but there is no innovation in there.

Also there are many other possibilities if we are going to create a new blockchain with some interesting changes and users should not have worries about weight and be able to gain interest easily.

We are still anaylising all these details

The token is a complete mess! Was pump up to 4 dollars, and exchange at this point, the input get blocked, now worth a penny.And Posts dumb, one gas, all the air will eat.

my only concern is with the coins that are on the lending platform (which I have) how will a snap shot work with that and how will the swap happen with those tokens? the platform is still building interest and also the dollar amount that is invested will this all be swapped? I have over 5000 USD on the platform and thats just invested and about 20,000 POS token withdrawal pending.... I feel like a fair revival of this project may be a difficult one.

It is literally tough and we did the first snapshot already, we are going to do a second one to compare the datas and a third type of swap based on the postoken user will send to us manually.

The main attraction behind PoSToken was "The World's First PoS Smart Contract Token" and it introduced new "PoS" standard for ether based tokens which some others are already using it. I don't think it's going to fade away!

Still, I don't get the POS concept in an ERC20 token. In an ethereum subfranchise, it's the ethereum blockchain that does all the muscle flexing and the management: hence the ether payments to send PoS tokens around.

As an ERC20 token, there is no economical value that entitles a POS holder to a POS reward. The POS holder does nothing, if not execute the smart contract routine to get some reward. This mere execution of the smart contract has no economical value, no collective benefit. He gets paid for nothing, and this partially explains current low value of POS token 1.0

In a real POS coin (not an ethereum subordinate), coin holders are rewarded because they are maintaining the network by generating blocks. This is not the case in ERC20 POS token.

If we did go ahead and create our own blockchain (perhaps a clone of ethereum, but this time with POS), which would not be a subordinate of ethereum, in that case paying POS rewards makes sense, because the holder is actually doing something of economical value, ie maintaining the token's independant network.

Ether itself, if I understand correctly, is phasing out Proof-of-Work, to turn itself into a PoS token. If we want to have a unique advantage, we better move fast ;)

This is actually an intelligent post. However, for a project to have success in crypto it really needs to convince a large community about its unicity and its capability of solving some problem which people perceived that should be solved. Would we have something like that here?

We might have. We have 2 really good developers that are already working on it. We really try to move faster but there is so much work even before the pre-launch.

Community is there, I think. Key thing is to convince more people to join, and this is much easier with innovation.

An innovative Solidity inspired blockchain, but running on CBX style PoSP (better than vanilla PoS imo) ... that's what I recommend. I'm willing to help with things, too.

I understand my suggestion implies a lot more work, but NPOS has to be launched the best way for its own future, and we have established that a token operating with POS on the ethereum blockchain makes no sense.

I would say that time should not at all be considered an issue if the project is serious. As for any non serious short-term project, my guess is that it would end up enriching only a few people exploiting the initial hype and that would be all. So my recomandation if to take your time and just develope the project at its best.

Interesting lending system, no one loses money, lenders are just receiving interest receiving collateral on the chain. How are you going to implement all these things?

That's the point! Safe lending through the chain. Masternodes (called checker) that will keep the network safe and vote for network changes.

You can get the DOU as an airdrop depending on the amount of token at the snapshot times.

Now that the specs of the new token is changing gradually, are we still maintaining the former POStoken's circulating and total supplies of 983,383 POS and 1,190,135 POS respectively? If no, what is the planned new supplies and its respective swap ratio going to be like? I would prefer it to still be a low supply token though.

PS: I didn't check back the front page to notice that the post has been modified before posting this. All of the questions has already been answered in the modified ANN. It will be good to have a spreadsheet of token holders that will receive swap so anybody can track the progress him/herself rather than everyone asking here every now and then. I posted some of this to the POSToken thread:   There is a lot going on with this DOUGH token for POSToken holders, including a new airdrop around now.  But, I don't like the idea of losing my POSTokens, I would just like both, hold them and get the DOUGH tokens as well.  That seems the fair way.   Is that what's going on or will the old ones be burnt?  Everyone knows old tokens often retain their value, burning a ton leaves someone with more supply and less demand.

If i had PosToken in Coinexchange how to get DOU?

I have more than 1000 postokens at Postoken lending platform and can't withdraw them and my another withdraw of 100 Postokens is pending more than one month.
So as far as I understood everybody who's in the same situation as me can take a flying fuck to the moon with our stuck withdrawals and the only way to get new tokens is to buy them at exchanges?  ;D

For now we had only one donator who gave 0.1 BTC. Nothing special so there was no point in creating something like this. But we will post the donation addresses based on ETH/BTC and LTC on our discord channel.

We really need this donations and sadly it is going bad until this moment.

After communicating with the DOU team since the onset of the 'resolution' for holders of PoSToken, at first I was unsure, then after coming back and seeing the progress and direction, I was pleasantly surprised.

Like said above, real-time response, and quick help and direction as to what steps were needed to secure a spot as a holder of PoSToken back at the snapshot dates.

I'm impressed, and I saw there is only 30 days or so to submit, I'd suggest getting your info in to secure your DOU before the last minute.

I verified my ETH address in a matter of minutes. The dev is often available on Discord and will give you a message to sign with your address.
You don't risk anything by doing this so it's a no brainer.

I think I'll also burn my tokens for the third swap. This option is open until the end of May. Even if the old dev return miraculously he can't be trusted so I see no value in holding PoS any longer.

This might be your opinion. But we do what is needed in order to have a good solution. A peer to peer swap is avoiding as always any type of scam attempt or manipulation. All messages are checked and users are giving directions for what is going to happen next.

I found it very easily and very nicely, don't know what to say about your difficulty in doing it as I did it in less than 10 minutes. I was offered a tutorial of how to do it and simply did it.

I think it would be a good idea to post an automated google form here on bitcointalk where people can fill in their signed message.
It should be as easy as possible to join and the info should be more widely spread than in a discord.

Dropping to pos holders will create an instant community, and give value to the coin immediately.

It is better to to do it personally on discord. As the spam or fake signatures will appear. We have tried for a day with google form and wr had 40-50 fake sign messages in less than 5 hours. On discord we have at the moment 61 confirmed POStoken holders.

You should consider this and i am sure you dont wan't to make your coin to be held by a few person controlling numerous discord accounts.

But my suggestion if you really want to utilized discord you should attach BCT account to their discord and limit the distribution based on BCT rank. to prevent mass participation of newly created newbie accounts.

Probably. I'm no coder but I guess it can be duplicated that way. On the POS thread there is a tutorial how to stake and when you actually do stake you also see all the commands it performs on MEW.

It was about 0.2 BTC, yes and nobody sent him POS tokens. He made a snapshot and based on this you should get your DOU, but the procedure didnt
start till he left discord and BTCT.

I still hope he's not online for other reasons, because $ 2000 is not worth the time he spent on this project.
A signature campaign could give him the same amount of money.

$2,000 is alont of money in some 3rd world countries and based on previous post the DOU dev came from some war torn country.

I doubt he will abandon his account for .20 BTC he will return again and join other bounty campaign and act like things like this never happen.

well, it's a bad situation no matter how you look at it. If anything happened to him because he lives in a war zone then it would be even worse than a scam.

It is not really a war zone it was a country which had some conflicts with their neighbor-country,
but only they were the attacker and there were no casualties on their own side, if you can believe the media.

If this is a scam, then the POSToken and DOU dev are the worst scammers ever created to walk upon the face of the earth. How much did they make from all of the hard work they put into these projects? POSToken had a positive vibe with a lot of community support, he could have developed the project more and then exit with a lot of money when the coin is self sustaining. I began to smell a rat when the DOU dev started asking for donations for a project that is just starting, I mean for what? Well, I never fall for that kind of scam. Even when he said the swap was going to be on a 3:1 ratio, people still accepted not minding that DOU supply is way bigger than that of POSToken.
