Minnesota Timberwolves - Dallas Mavericks
Handicap (Incl. Overtime)
Dallas Mavericks (7.5)

Odds
1.74

That said, my bet for today is on the 1st Half Over 106.5 @ 1.85, hopefully the Wolves can get started well on the offensive end.

Another day, and yet another win for me Cheesy... 3 of 3 in the Conference finals so far for me... although, Jaden MacDaniels failure to hit at least one 3pt shot cost me a 7+ Odds betbuilder  Lips sealed

We both got our win! Congratulations.
Unfortunately, my over didn't make it before halftime due to that 17-0 run from the Celtics in the first five minutes of the second quarter. Still, Congrats on your bet.  Wink

I'm still giving the Timberwolves spread another go here since the last game was as close as it can get and I doubt the Mavs can pull off another 60% shooting day. The points might seem too much, but it's always easy for these two to start on a run to take control of the game.

Timberwolves choked on their huge halftime lead, and they've given the Dallas Mavericks a 2-0 lead, right here in Minnesota... We saw the Wolves win 3 of 4 games in Denver, but this really is going to be a different series and they've put themselves in a despicable situation, while it's not an impossible task to even the series in Dallas, it's definitely going to be an improbable tough task to execute, especially with Kyrie and Doncic playing at their best, and both guys are terrific at closing out games just like it been very evident in both game 1 and game 2
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: Today at 04:14:48 AM
I think the main reason was the bad relationship between Laporta and Xavi otherwise he could stay for the next season.
Even Flick was not successful recently and they could have much better coaches instead of him

Xavi was expected to be kicked from Barcelona at any moment especially that few weeks ago he was declared out then resumed... Their might be some misunderstanding and tensions between him and the staff but that was mainly due to the poor results they had and for not winning anything this season.

That's freaking bullocks and an extreme shit for Barcelona board, It's really an awful way to treat a club legend, frankly!

Xavi had initially voluntarily decided to step down at the of the season, and he was implored by the board to stay, which he later agreed due to his love for the club, both as player and now as a coach, if anybody had been able to repair the relationship between the club and its fans, it definitely was Xavi, and he sure was the fan favorite. The board has successful setback the club backwards by a couple of years with this move, except they expect Flick to come and perform a miracle on limited resources and budget.

Who freaking pleads with a coach to stay on, only to have it thrown back at his face a few months later, BS!

Girona did exactly what I expected from them which is mercilessly beating Granada using their home advantage and their goal scoring prowess. Despite that this win does not mean anything for them since they are already bound to remain in third position, the match game them opportunity to score as many goals as they can possibly can. A match ending 7:0 with all their major scorers, including Artem Dovbyk scoring hat trick and Eric Garcia registering a goal. This was indeed a good match. On the part of Granada, the loss does not really matter much to them as they have already been relegated alongside Cadiz and UD Almeria... so "he that is down need fear no fall".

I am looking forward to Real Madrid against Real Betis, a match I expect the former to will to seal the season in victory. There should be no excuse as to why Madrid will fail to deliver, not the even the Champions League final will deter them from collecting the 3 points.

An easy win could pretty much have been anticipated, but to put up 7 goals against Granada isn't what I think anyone one saw coming, and they easily could have ended the match with a double goal difference, because they were in total control of the game and dictated the tempo of the game for the entire 90 minutes.. I think the referee was to soft on a number of calls, especially with the second yellow card offense that led to Pellestri being handed his matching orders, the play really should have been overlooked given the score line and how marginal the pull was, maybe it should have been a free kick no doubt, but issuing a second yellow card for that was way too soft, I believe.

The comfortable riot win for Girona is a testament to how successful one can conclude their campaign for this season was... and they'll be playing champions league football next season, for team that got promoted to La Liga 2 seasons ago, and then finished 10th in the league last season, that is a really significant progress, to say the very least!

Im also having an edge at question #10. Rajasthan Royals ended up not making it to the final, phew !

I lost both my duel and the sidebet to Buwaytress due to the Rajasthan Royals failing to win, with a win from them, I could have been quite optimistic for a draw...

I guess I saw it coming all along...

Congratulatons @Buwaytress  Angry you sure know I'm never going to let that slide right, too bad we don't have any possible matchup for the rest season  Angry

Alright, I've got my bet in for the day.  I like both teams so the real winner here is me for getting to watch them play, but I think Dallas having a 7.5 point spread is a bit much.  Especially considering they won the last game.  I think they'll be able to keep it close again.  I still think Minnesota ends up winning this series, but I think it's going to be a battle of close games and tonight will be another one.  Hopefully they don't disappoint.

Minnesota Timberwolves - Dallas Mavericks
Handicap (Incl. Overtime)
Dallas Mavericks (7.5)

Odds
1.74

While I don't expect the Minnesota Timberwolves to go down 0-2 on home court, I like the Dallas Mavericks odds for ML @ ~3 Odds, I think that's of great value, However, I'll be going for the 1st Half Over here, simply because I can't pick a side without being biased and the game 1 looks rather too until shallow to draw a conclusive opinion from, I'm expecting a number of adjustments and at the same I'd like to see first hand what changes the Wolves will implement, then perhaps from Game 3 I should be good to go on the team to back.

That said, my bet for today is on the 1st Half Over 106.5 @ 1.85, hopefully the Wolves can get started well on the offensive end.

Boring week for me and Harkorede. Shame as there was plenty going on, but we'll soon find out from today who leads and who falls behind, hoping Rangers beat Celtic in the Old Firm derby. I actually watched their last one a few weeks ago and Celtic looked uncomfortable even in winning, but their H2H with Rangers is daunting... Harko already lost a point there so he'll be hoping either both remaining cup tie favourites lose together or win together so I also lose the point.

Every other answer we have is precisely the same, so we only have IPL to set us apart. Google odds on Sunrisers don't look good, RR chose to bowl first and have managed to keep SRH runs at a low 120 with only about 30% of the match to go. Harko should be happy as if SRH wins, then I win this round before the evening starts.

Yeah, It's been quite a bore fest contest between us, I really didn't expect us to have that much similar answers, not even up to the H2H matches... We seem inseparable with ours answers, but then you do have the best advantage on the cricket and then the cup finals questions.

I'd be very lucky to secure a draw here to be very honest, I've not been the best when it comes to trailing or depending a particular question to secure a draw, but If your team is as shitty as you've been saying this season, then maybe there is a iota of hope for me to cling onto.

Found out today there are three periods in an ice hockey game (I always assumed two or four). Does anyone here seriously watch these games? I don't think they're boring, from a few snatches of play I'm looking at. Just not sure I'll ever want to watch a game properly -- but I said that about cricket too.

Ice Hockey is actually not boring, not as much as cricket or baseball, both of which I still don't understand how the games works or the scores are counted. I do find myself watching Ice Hockey a number of times, but that's only the NHL whenever my tv subscription provider decides not to air NBA matches and I can find a stable website to stream from. I've actually followed a couple of series from this current Stanley Cup playoffs, How I wish that was where the hockey question come from  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Yeah, but you also have USA so it will be a point for both of us if USA wins or a point for me if they lose. But you have Switzerland and I think they will easily win over Germany so that's a point for you. We'll see tonight.

aaaannddd US lost..

Damn!  Grin Grin Grin

I'm backing the overs again the totals didn't budge as much (only by a few points) and this should be another close offensive match similar to the last game. One of the few things that don't look good here is how the Celtics always underperform in their second home game. If the trend continues for the Celtics and they suddenly underperform in this game, I hope it's during the second half.

I really like the Over here too, especially since these are best offensive teams in the NBA... However, the Celtics have lost game 2 in each of their playoff series so far this season, and I guess winning the last game by a whisker would have given them some form of reality check coming into tonight, they'll need to handle business early and I'm backing them to do just that.

I'm on Celtics -5.5 in the first half @ 1.88

GL!

We both got our win! Congratulations.

Although, I won mine by the slightest margin possible, despite Boston Celtics leading by a huge double digits in the 2nd Quarter, they almost didn't cover the spread due to inconsistency and some sloppy plays defensively, I'm just glad I was able to get all that actually mattered in the end, which is winning the bet  Cheesy

----------------

Boston Celtics finally were able to win game 2 for the first time in this 2024 playoffs, and Pacers lost Haliburton in the 3rd Quarter, I hope it's not a serious one and he'll be able to play in 2days time in Indiana, as there is just a day of rest between these games in this series. Not having Haliburton would definitely be the biggest blow for the Indiana Pacers, and I might just take the Celtics  to win ML in game 3 early once the lines opens, as I'll expect some decent odds of around 1.75+

And money are pouring on the Celtics, but I will change my betting here with a Under 58.5, 1st Quarter - Total.

That was a solid pick, the first Quarter ended with 52 points, with Pacer earning a 2 points lead.

Congratulations mate!

We're bloodline for sure. I wonder what this addiction to losing is called...

We'll need an Arsenal to help us out with the answer to that question... Speaking of Arsenal, am I the only one who consider their season not to be a failure ? I don't understand they didn't end up with a silverware other the community shield, but on a grand scheme of things, I think they did pretty okay, especially when you put into consideration how most of their derby matches, and matches against other top league competing power houses. This is probably the best year for Arsenal in the past decade, if I'm not mistaken.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 23, 2024, 03:05:27 PM
I went with the unpopular opinion and back the Dallas Mavericks when they had a 1-point lead towards the end of 3rd quarter, My sole reason for that was because of how Kyrie has been playing all night, and I believe if the Timberwolves have attempted way more 3 point and have knocked down significant number of it but still can get a decent separation, that could mean trouble is lurking around for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Congrats on your live Mavs bet, i'm surprised that the odds were a bit high at the time.

The Timberwolves were close to building their lead by at least double digits before the second quarter ended, but the Mavs kept it together in the last few possessions. Then that back and forth during the fourth quarter with 3 minutes left made it feel like it could've gone either way, but the Mavs quickly brought it back with the double three-pointer while the Timberwolves couldn't get a bucket until the final minute.
The loss of the TWolves was due to a bad call by the refs towards that Kat dunk.
They say the shot from the previous attempt was within the cylinder of the basket. So Towns dunk did not count which would of tied it with just over a minute and a half left in the game.
That was when Luka was on that 9-0 point run and counting that basket from Kat Towns would of switch that momentum the Mavs had to win the game.

Hard loss by Minnesota so hopefully they can comeback in tonight's game along with the Pacers who are at Boston.

I would agree with you, and it all went by so damn fast, Timberwolves had just lost their challenge a few possession prior, and with two minutes left on the clock, the least I expected from the official was to review the basket, I don't even know if they did and if they did that was so damn fast and I didn't hear any communication about it being reviewed. The refs ought to do better, it's the conference finals for crying out loud, and these marginals calls could make or mar a teams entire season, and one in a life time opportunity.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 23, 2024, 03:54:02 AM
Three quarters in and it's turning out to be a brick throwing contest between Luka and ANT hehe. Good thing for the Mavs is that Kyrie is on point while McDaniels covering for both KAT and ANT. One thing that the Mavs have to look out for going into the fourth quarter is how they are turning the ball twice as many as the Wolves.

Definitely a good game and coming down to the wire. I’m surprised how good Kyrie specifically is doing but Dallas as a whole is shooting great. I’m surprised they’re losing when looking at the stats. They’re only down 3 though and Luka is just starting to get hot, so I’m expecting the end of this one to be worth sticking around for.

Edit: Luka just went on a 7-0 run by himself and gave the Mavs the lead.

From the way the game started, It was quite evident that it would come down to last few shots, Kyrie Irving was foe to be reckoned with in the first half, before Luka Doncic took complete charge for most of the second half.

Dallas Maverick could have easily got blown out from the first half alone, but Irving kept the in the game with is 24 first half points, if not Mavs could have been trailing by as much 20+ by halftime. If there is anything I noticed pretty well today, was that Mike Conley doesn't seem to be fit, just like some news sources have made known earlier, perhaps he should just a take a rest, rather than just costing his teammates with his struggles on the court.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 23, 2024, 02:32:41 AM
Nice hit, @ralle14, as the total first half points were 128, way over the bet you picked, so it was an easy win.
Thanks and i'm also planning to ride with the over for the next game, as I can't imagine these teams slowing down with the scoring.

As much as I like the Mavs in this series, I still think they'll drop this first game, and the Timberwolves will come out firing since they tend to win dominantly in some of their games.

These two also met a bunch of times in the regular season and it went in the Timberwolves' favor, but I doubt that'll be a big factor in deciding today's game.

The Timberwolves are back in the Conference finals after 20 years and now they pick up where they left off. They scored against the Mavericks with McDaniels and Anderson. For the Mavs, no one is helping Kyrie. It's in series like this that you realize how important the side pieces are.

It's been a really competitive first half between Mavericks and Timberwolves, Jaden McDaniels just can't miss and as you've pointed out, Slow-Mo was impressive as well, he's shooting the ball pretty well.

It's just rather funny how Dallas were just trailing by a few points in the first half because, Wolves were literally score 3 points shot with quite some ease.

That's said, it still anyone's game right now, and whichever team is able to stay locked in down the stretch would win this game imho.

Tune in for more "expert" tips from buway-non-expert-tress.

Yep it seems they lost by 2 runs

So yeah if I were to translate it into something that Im familiar with. Its pretty much like baseball but instead of taking turn after 3 strikes, the teams are given specific amount of balls to score as many points ( runs ) as possible before the opposing team hit the strikes ( wicket )

This is pretty much as close as what I understand it would be. Well now I need royals to lose on their next game or else Im losing point on question #10

Unfortunately for me, I had no idea that it was esport-esque upper and lower brackets kind of knockouts, that's despite the fact that I made my research, it just didn't occur to me  Sad... And thus, there comes Buwaytress advantage over me, except I'll be needing Sunrisers Hyderabad to lose their next game against Rajasthan Royals to get a draw from that question.

-------------------------------

Bayer Leverkusen impressive and surreal run of form have finally come to an end, I believe despite being below par today and defeated by a better team on the night, Xabi Alonso and his players should still be extremely proud of themselves. This loss has nothing on what they've achieved and the performance they've showed this season!!!
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 22, 2024, 03:49:58 AM
Boston Celtics will play the Indiana Pacers tonight.
Boston Celtics are the favorites in the East, I think they will win the first game without much difficulty, the team is well rested and ready for this game.
It will be a nice and enjoyable game.

Boston Celtics might have just survived a major disaster in game 1, after having multiple double digits lead, they were just about 8 seconds away from throwing the game away, or the better way to describe it would the Pacers very close to earning a win in game 1... I think the Celtics because complacent during those minutes, and it almost ended badly for them, Jaylen Brown had quite a number of big plays, like the 3 point bucket, a steal and a block in those final minute and OT to help Celtics avoid a loss. They sure would need to do better against this hungry Indiana Pacers roster.

I just discovered that I'm actually up against you for this round, I really didn't check who my opponent is prior to this moment...

How about a 1mBTC side bet to entice our respective teams... Or we could go for the loser to pay the other's Euro pool fee, what say ya ?

I may live to regret this, but yes, let's do that! Loser pay pool fee, then we also save an input for them Wink

Alright, it's game on then! I also just hope I'm not shooting myself in the foot, but then your team's form is a source optimism to me.

I would have checked if your team decided to not show up again, but it's once bitten, twice shy for you this time around, you've submitted already, a few hours before I did.

Not trying to jinx it this early, but you'll need all the luck you can get to beat my team.

2 VARS left, no harm to submit early so can use one of the calls up if need be. The questions, I have to say, very good spread. But because I don't know the sports involved, feels a bit too uncertain to take risks. These bracket/playoff formats always feel a bit straightforward to me, thanks to eSports heh heh

I thought there's no problem when 2 person from the same city participate in the FPL league since they've paid the fees .

This has destroyed many legitimate accounts on the Nigeria Local board over the years, and it's one of the most difficult scenarios to prove; I'd like to believe it's a common practice among third-world countries, a common mistake of transacting in BTC, sharing bills in crypto (I'm guilty of this), and sending BTC to a friend to get Fiat. I'm not saying I trust Abiiii12's statement, but I witnessed it happen to two big accounts on the Nigeria board last year; their only offence was trading with their naïve newbie pals who were banned/tagged for silly mistakes. No one believed in their story, they got connected to the banned/tagged account and got same punishment.

After that incident I stopped taking BTC and mailing out Fiat on the Local board. I will not speak on this case again unless it's very necessary. Peace out brothers.

There is a very fine line here of whether Abii is saying the true, who knows... but there have been hundreds of cases here that will users claiming they know the other personally, some things are rather just avoidable, I remember want to invite a couple of friends which I met doing my Service year in the northern part of the country as we have a Whatsapp group and FPL pool too, and I remember asking on here if I could invite them, however that might have warranted me paying their fees and getting fiat from them, upon a couple of opinions shared here made me rethink that there was no need for such complicated scenarios.

The fact that both account finished really close to each likely showed that those accounts are managed by the same individual, it's not just a coincidence, in my candid opinion.

However, as Ige have pointed it's really easy to be caught in this web of clusterfuck if you a trade btc and engage in exchange of btc to fiat from 3rd world country, due to how p2p works here.

Yes I didn't know much about btctalk I'm here because of FPL and I've opened my btctalk just to enter fol and then afacon pools and I heard all of this challenges in trofo chat , he can cheek that I've paid the afacon pools fees .

What chat are you talking about ? We've had a couple of BSFL players come from the Sportsbet and none of them have been considered to be multi because they have been proved to be completely different persons. ..
