201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: March 28, 2024, 05:14:31 AM
Hehehehe,  for me I don't think Lewandowski is really the one we should be concerned about in that team, he's just a diversion from the big guns there and I took the liberty of checking their group D and it's honestly going to be a miracle if they survive group stages because in a group where France, Austria  and Netherlands, you need more than just a decorated player like Lewandowski to help your team.
Yeah but this Euro will have 4/6 3rd ranked team progressing as well. So I am expecting 3 points will be more than enough to get out of the group and we may see even some teams going trough with less than that.

We could also see some top teams calculating a bit in group stages since it is almost impossible for them to drop out.

@41 odds on Croatia sounds nice. time to go all the way once Smiley

I wouldn't lie given that there is going to be some best loser or best 3rd placed teams qualification, that literally cancel any potential group of death analogy, I also like the 41 Odds for Croatia to go all the way, Belgium also seem like good value to me, along side the other two teams in the same row as Croatia in the odds table, I mean Italy and the Netherlands, I really like those value, maybe I could separate bets on all these 4 teams to go all the way, if any does, I'll still be getting a minimum of 11x Odds in return  Grin Wink
202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 27, 2024, 04:23:54 AM
All the California teams I bet against in my parlay are going to end up winning tonight unless the Kings blow it to the Mavericks. An absolutely disgraceful betting performance on my part. I guess there’s only one way to go from here.

There is no lighting the Beam today for the Sacramento Kings because Doncic, Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks are in town... What a game that was, The Dallas Mavericks completely turned it around in the 3rd Quarter and currently hold about 30 points lead early in the fourth quarter... I really personally don't like betting on NBA games when there are only 4-5 games being played for the night because I believe my opinion get skewed and I'm forced to select one of 4 teams or lines that I might not have gone with If I have plethora of choices to pick from.

I need to accept that I have made a quite nice entrance to the week. It is quite good news for me to get 3-0 ahead of my opponent at the end of the first 3 questions. I hope that my team maintain following the top place by getting 3 points without being complacent from now on.

I'm still alive mate, there is no room for complacency for you, I'll be on your trail all season long, until the wheels fall off. That said, strongkored have gotten the better of me after 3 games with a 2-1 lead, Ukraine again letting me down, they should won this game in grand style, or at least go extra time then, anyways there is still more than enough question for me to get even and retake a possible lead.

Oh, dear leaea not looking good at all failing to submit, everyone forget to submit at one point or the other except when they are playing against me, huh ?

games against casperBGD have now been entered as 3:0 for his oponnets for whole season. Extra points for all Smiley

Finally I’m getting a free 3 points for the first in seasons, or I shouldn’t even consider it a freebie, since everyone across division also got it as well.

Why does mitchr4 and mv1986 both have 3 matches played each and every other persons have 4 matches played ?

It is because you guys got already added the game that you did not yet play against casperBGD. leea-1334, mitchr4 and I already played against casperBGD, which means for us the game we played will just be replaced with the 3-0 result. I won my game, but still stand at 6 points, since I officially won 2 games. Whereas everyone else got one game on top + 3 points on top.

It doesn't look very well that way Tongue Being so close to the relegation zone doesn't feel great. I'll better change that while keeping that game in hand.

Good luck to leea-1334 for this round. It is a critical game for you early in the season. May the luckiest win! Wink

Oh, thank you!

I get it now. I really didn't think it through properly, that means you both are technically one game short or the whole league aside yourself leea and mitch have played a game more, just like an outstanding match since we've all played against one more opponent which isn't Casper while you both and leea have played against him already, so until everyone in the league play against Casper before the match played statistic becomes even.

I'm finally back to winning ways, after a non-impressive round last week, maybe I could have fumbled it again, but thanks to slackovic for the extra motivation by trash talking and trying to get into my players head.

Truth be told, It could have probably been a draw, because Houston are struggling to get any kind of separation from Texas A&M, however, Purdue have done me the biggest favor already by outscoring UConn, so there is no way slackovic can get any point from that match either.

/snip

Wow! Another lost game. It looks like I'll learn how slaman29 felt in the last season. I think I'll change the way I answer questions this time. Maybe I won't do t research and answer based on a hunch instead. It certainly doesn't pay off to spend time on research when I lose in the end. Let's see how it goes.

Oh yeah. Congrats on winning the round Harkorede!

The margin by which you've lost these games shows you've put sometime into your research, you can't always get it right, but trust me you can't finish in the top 5 if you don't make your research, I'm not talking about sports that you had prior knowledge of, like football and probably Tennis, but tons of other sports definitely need looking into, and just guess game wouldn't work except, you're the most lucky guy on earth.

I'm up against strongkored next, I don't recall ever playing against this team, but my team is not going to get carried away by their current form simply because they've lost the first two games of the season, complacency can't be allowed to set in just yet.

I don't see any way we can tweak this except change 3:0 to some some other number but I will argue even here that 3:0 sounds the best to me.

I think that 3-0 defeat for the team that didn't submit their answers is a good rule. It's the same when in football a game is canceled for some reason - it's marked as a 3-0 win for the other team. If the game was played, maybe the winning team would have won with a greater goal difference, but that's the rule and no one is complaining about it.

I’m actually complaining about it, I’ve done so a couple times ad nauseam, if you look at the first two rounds in the division one, only two games have ended with 3+ goal difference, a 3 goals difference is hard to come by in the division, so if someone gets above the average goal difference, it put them at an advantage in the long run, and the league matches isn’t really much so the +3 goals difference a couple of times can be extremely significant at the end of the season where you’d expect a couple of people to be tied on points, but as I’ve said before the beginning of the season, that if the 3:0 default score line should stand, then H2H should be the first metric for a tiebreaker, at least that’d take away a potential 3:0 or more advantage that one player might have received over the course of the league, I wouldn’t like to see someone not get enough consideration and all necessary points for submitting their picks on time while their opponent failed to do so, it’s not their fault, but then the entire league shouldn’t be the ones paying the price either.
212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: March 24, 2024, 06:02:26 AM
I should have followed my freaking guts on the Brazil vs England game, I was also sure of Brazil not losing while I also believed that England new experimental squad could find it hard to score, I had Brazil not to lose and BTTS No initially as I don’t like BTTS option but I change it at the I wanted to submit simply because I felt my opponent would also go with BTTS, while I don’t like taking BTTS, what I hate more is when I lose a point to an opponent because of it.

What are you talking about losing a point to me? You have just won the first point because France couldn't score against Germany. Now you are up 3-2 with only two different answers left.

I'm not sure what is happening to my team. Whatever I do and however I choose my answers, I just can't win a round.

Firstly, I didn't say I lost a point to you on that question and I'm just stating how I feel whenever I've had to lose a point to an opponent when they chose BTTS, and I went the other way simply because of my personal sentiment of not liking to go with BTTS in any question, and yeah right I got the France absolutely spot on, just like I had anticipated and told you before hand  Wink

Secondly, there is going to be only one question difference left between us, because the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix have just been concluded a some minutes ago, and it's going to end as draw for us, George Russell couldn't finish the race as he crashed in the last rap, while Oscar Piastri finished 4th, but Lance Stroll finished in 7th position ahead of Hulkenberg in 9th place, which bring us even, All we've got left is the March Madness fixtures.

Lastly, I told you I'll only help you compound your teams' misery after you trash talked my team during your last press conference, talking about victimizing my team, a threat which they didn't take likely at all and decided to bring the whole energy to the stadium, now all we ask is that your acknowledgement should be louder than your disrespect mate Wink  Cheesy

I'm feeling good after yesterday's win.  Let's keep the streak alive and go for another one.  I feel like today's parlay should be a gimme, but you never know.  Maybe the Bol Bol matchup with Wemby won't go the right way, but that's really the only concern for me.  I'm actually surprised the odds are so high on this one.  It should be a slam dunk of a bet.  Smiley

Chicago Bulls - Boston Celtics
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Boston Celtics

San Antonio Spurs - Phoenix Suns
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Phoenix Suns

Portland Trail Blazers - Denver Nuggets
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Denver Nuggets

Odds
1.98

That’s quite a good value imo of odds imo, I didn’t even consider taking a parlay of ML tonight, I was rather carried away by the value for the total points and a few 1st Half wins and handicap.

Both Celtics and Phoenix Sun have done you right, while Denver Nuggets is already 10 points up going into the locker at halftime, looks like a solid win on the horizon for you. Congratulations!

Brazil won, but I needed England to score. Still a good result for me, as bloody France are toothless with only 20 minutes to play, so looks like I'll lose that one, to bring the round to 3-2 with only NCAA and F1 to go and judging by leea's answer of "3nd Ferrari driver", I should win that one right? Heh heh

I feel that 3-goal differences are quite rare in BSFL so yeah, 3-0 is the best you get. Maybe not even that in the future Grin

Too lazy to look at past history but I think 1-goal difference rounds feel like the most common result. 3-2 also feels like the most common result or median for me, but I wonder what the stats look like across the leagues. Have a feeling it's been quite big in Div3s, but am only relying on imagined memory.

It's too big a freebie, agree. Should be 1-0, to reflect how relatively often it happens (once to me already in 4 seasons, something to remind CLS63 forever about).

Don't wanna speak too soon but I think I will manage to beat Ulven in this round. I mean he missed so I win 3 free points but I like to feel that I deserved to win anyway.

@Trofo @cryptofrka What happens if the actual scoreline is better than 3-0 in a walkover win, will that be counted? I guess not really, but just curious if this ever happened to anyone Smiley

It feels so silly that I am getting 4/5 so far, when even 0/10 would be enough. Hope my team not wasting their breath Wink

It's is rule as 3:0 regardless of the scoreline, I'm one of the few people who even feel that 3:0 is a bit too generous and put the rest of the league at a disadvantage.

If they are going to count the original scoreline instead of 3:0 default walkover, then they would also have to render the result as a draw, if the player that's supposed to get the 3 walkover goes 0/10 in their answers for the week , right ?

Updated record 39-46 46%)

Got Rekt..all 3 are bad picks, LOL... May win rate are dropping just like the Warriors,.. gotta get back in the game with these picks.

1- Knicks -7.5 - Good home team vs bad road team, I'll take the home team all day with the spread.

I'm tailing the Knicks and Houston with you.  Was 2-1 last night and looking for another team to bet on top of these 2.  Knicks had a nice road trip I can't see them losing here tonight.  I'm tempted to take the bulls tonight at only +7.5.  Seems like a suspect trap game.  Second night on the road back to back and taytum already a game time decision.  Will probably rest.  Thinking I'm gonna take the bulls here.

I also like the early tip-off game for today, the New York Knicks had their winning streak ended by the Nuggets in their last encounter 2 days ago, I believe they'll get back to winning was, the Knicks defense have being their biggest strength, it should be an easy ride playing against a team that is offensively poor too, they are two contrasting teams.

I'm going with the 1st Half handicap here as usual;

New York Knicks -4 1st Half, @ 1.90

GL folks!

That's some big margin win and statement from UConn, a 39 points difference, I'm not sure Houston can match that point difference in the first match tonight, but perhaps the 2nd game would give them a better opportunity to close that margin or surpass it better still. I wouldn't like to go down by the first point advantage to slackovic, it's tougher to expect a win when you lose the first advantage in 3 question differences fixture  Sad

If I win that basketball question, it will be based on pure luck. As I said before, I hate basketball and I don't follow it so I had no idea how to go with that question. I just answered the most obvious team.

And judging by my last round against notblox1, it's definitely hard to win after being one point down in a round with three different answers. We had that situation and he won it 3-1. I think it was my worst round in the whole competition with only one correct answer.

Luck is going to play a major part in the basket question, it's still a close one between the 3 teams, while UConn have a better fixture, at least on paper, compared to Purdue and Houston next opponents.

The Formula 1 question is also still a yet to be decided one, Hulkenberg failed to qualify and Lance Stroll finished 9th, but Piastri finished just ahead of Russell 7th position in the Qualifying race. If Russell can overtake Piastri in the race tomorrow, then I should get that one, I think.

March madness started good for the favorites, UConn with +39 followed by Houston's +40.
Purdue's lagging a bit, they won with +28. Let's see what the next round of games brings.

I watched the second half of the Houston game, they could have extended their gap to around 45+, They gave up an easy layup towards the of the game and dribble the final 30+ seconds out. I'd say except one of these team loses, it's going to be between UConn and Houston.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: March 23, 2024, 03:15:52 AM
CJ McCollum 15+ points / H. Jones 1+ stock / T. Rozier 20+ PRA @1.82  X

Heat allows the third-fewest points in the paint this season, with the fewest PIP /L3.  It will be a tough task for Zion or Valanciunas to score inside. That's why i am looking at Pels perimeter players, specifically CJ McCollum. He has scored 15+ points in 3/L5, but his shot attempts could increase due to Ingram's absence. His matchup is also favorable, as Rozier is not well-known for his defensive abilities.

Herbert Jones has 17 straight games with at least one steal/block...hopefully, his streak will not end today.

Roziers' PRA has been one of my favorite lines to bet on recently, especially when J. Butler was out for a few games. 20+ PRA in 10/L10, with an extra day of rest against a tired Pels defense, i'll take it.

Damn! That was short by just 1 PRA from Terry Rozier, Your insight about the game was pretty much spot on! CJ MxCollum was the top scorer of the game with 30 points, and 6 triples, while Zion Williamson indeed struggled offensively every of his field goal attempt was heavily contested, the Heats' struggle offensively was what I'd cost you your bet.

I lost mine too, it was an extremely low scoring game, way below my expectation, especially the Timberwolves vs Cavaliers game.
