1  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are your expectations for Casino coins in this coming bull run? on: May 24, 2024, 11:01:35 AM
~
~
I think that investing in casino coins the way we invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB and so on, is risky.

Of course it's risky! Investing in Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB is risky too. That's why we should never invest more than we can afford to lose in anything, and casino coins aren't an exception.

~
~ Many of them are shareholders, and stock owners and have various properties and other businesses. So if they do not earn through cryptocurrency or casino tokens, they are earning massively elsewhere. This could only mean that their money is not wasting off in the bank, they are effectively utilizing it to make more money, that's why they call them big investors in the first place, they have nothing to lose as it is never a must to invest in crypto projects.

Oh, c'mon! You sound like you know exactly how to make money in this universe. Smiley

Investing in some casino coins can be much more profitable than from all that you mentioned. It's just a big uncertainty. If it were so easy, no big investors would ever go bankrupt.

Those who wander aimlessly are equal to the dead and are passengers in a boat without a sailor. To this day those who have remained determined to achieve their goals have never been touched by extraneous or frivolous thoughts. So we should go ahead with our goals and be satisfied with the results we get.

Only don't set your goals too high is my advice. Then the satisfaction will be at hand. Go ahead slowly, little by little, and will reach even higher goals this way.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we help beginners not to get addicted on: May 24, 2024, 09:43:56 AM
Gambling's "what if" thrill can hook you. The uncertainty and a chance to win keep people coming back. Man, chance rules. No plan will affect the odds. You can boost your odds. Knowing the game and odds is important. Knowledge and strategy help poker players calculate pot odds and make smarter plays.  Ultimately, luck is uncontrollable. Listen, stories of turning a little gamble into a fortune are rare. Enjoy the game, but be wise about it. Know your limit, turn away, and don't chase losses

I think "don't chase your losses" can be a very useful advice to beginners. Many gamblers lose much more than what they were wanting to recover in the beginning because of this destructive process. I think, in reality we all do that sometimes. No gambler, even an experienced one, is immune to that. It often happens with me too. I lose $5 and I think I will just take that back and I quit. But I lose $20 more instead. And than I stop, because I don't want to lose even more. It is very important to stop when you lost $25 already. It is very important to not try to recover that amount. You should know that it can become $100 and then $200 and so on.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you achieved anything from gambling on: May 24, 2024, 09:06:50 AM

That type of thinking is what makes people gamble and not lose all their money. People who do not think about it like that, end up considering the situation as something that can change their life, a lot of people gamble because they think that they could earn some money that would be insanely wealthy as a result, but that doesn't mean that it is true.
~

It not only helps to not lose all their money, it helps to not lose significant amounts for them too. Gambling shouldn't be seen as an activity through which you can earn a life-changing amount(although some people succeed in that by chance), rather it should be seen as @Maus0728 said above as entertainment with which you can occasionally win something nice. Don't overstate your expectations, don't put too much money at risk, and gambling won't be something negative for you; instead, it can remain a fun and enjoyable activity.
5  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 24, 2024, 08:19:54 AM
Why many of you, guys, are saying that TheQuin has disappeared or something? He was here yesterday, May 16, 2024, 02:56:17 AM. Just check his profile.

Also, whats wrong with FreeBitco.in, apart from several spammers whining in this thread for no reason? Or maybe they have a reason? Maybe they are paid to slander this reputable site?

As far as I know the site is doing OK. Someone won a Lambo recently on this very site, FFS!
What did I miss?

You missed a lot apparently. A few people were scammed because somebody found a way to inject a malicious script to the frontend of the app. People lost money and one of the victims is a wellknown legendary account.
~

If that's true, I'm sorry that people lost their money. Also, not being a coder, I don't understand whether it's the site's fault that somebody found a way to inject a malicious script into the frontend of the app.

What I know is that recently, 5 or 6 days ago, I requested a withdrawal of $400 from my FreeBitco.in account and everything went smoothly and pretty quick too.

I was even able to insert a new address here

which wasn't an option in the old days, as far as I can remember.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: May 24, 2024, 07:26:05 AM
these days I read a very sad article and when I saw this thread I immediately went looking for the article and managed to find it, it's a sad story that talks about a guy who, because of his addiction, destroyed his life and that of his family, in this article we can see the dangers of addiction, when people are unable to go to the doctor early when they notice the first signs of addiction it becomes a very serious problem, this can be seen in this guy's story:

~

source: https://www.wilx.com/2024/03/21/youre-not-alone-madness-being-addicted-gambling/
~

That's a very sad story and it shows exactly why we shouldn't allow young people to engage with gambling. He was nine years old, FFS! What were his parents doing? It's the toughest fate if you win in that age, and that's what happened to Ritzenhein, the main character in the story. He was turning his life into hell afterwards(and the lives of all those around him too, I'm sure). It's good he found strength to call Problem Gambling Help Line. Hope they will help him.

If you want real news regarding the war, consider using the Yandex search engine - https://yandex.com/. One website regarding the war, that shows what is really happening on the ground, and why US funding will not reach Ukraine on time, is shown below.
~

Yandex? You propose to use a Russian-controlled search engine to see what is really happening?

It's so ludicrous that it's actually funny.  Grin
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: May 24, 2024, 06:14:36 AM

That is a dangerous way of playing spending a lot of money with over 90% chance and sometimes it does not even work.Yesterday someone placed a huge bet live on 85th minute Brighton vs Chelsea under 2.5 goals with an odd of 1.25 and that game lost losing this person quite a lot of money, namely about 6000 dollars, imagine if those 6000 dollars was played with 2-5 dollars bet on a slot machine like Le Bandit for example and hit an 10000x multiplier, that is 20000 to 50000 dollars and the fun of playing longer than live betting on soccer.

Good example of betting with seemingly good chance of winning. People often bet big amounts when they think they surely going to win their bet, and they often loose, as we know. I remember  a news about guy betting $1 million with 1.01x multiplier, meaning that that chance of winning was 98% for him. He was betting on a very strong team playing with a very weak team and win, and he lost his bet. $1 million! Can you imagine? How many spins he could make with that money on on a slot machine like Le Bandit?

~ But these days people are more concerned about making profits, they don't care who's playing, they will tell you if I don't allow him to play here, he will definitely go use the online platform. ~

I don't know how it is in your country, but normally such casinos could be fined or even closed. It's similar to selling alcohol or cigarettes to those who's underage. No matter how much you concerned about making profits, you shouldn't do that.

Also, like you said, "gambling must still at least possess that sense of decency". It's immoral to allow young people, people who don't possess certain knowledge essential for safe gambling to play games of chance at your place.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: May 23, 2024, 12:40:28 PM

~ it's not a good practice to lean with your luck and place all your money in a single bet hoping that your next roll will give you the winning result that you are anticipating, most of the time, it will turned against us and if we are using the amount that we are not willing to let go, that regret will keeps showing each time you remember your mistake.

I wouldn't say most of the time in the sense like we are saying it when we mean "90% of the time". It's just 55% of the time or so. But that's enough to consider to stop betting after a big win.

~
~ If gambler has good fate then obviously they will get lucky and be able to win the bet

You mean, like it's predetermined? I don't think so. I think it happens randomly, and the moment before it happens no none in the universe can say whether it will happen or not.

~
~ even if you don't use strategy, if you are lucky you can win.

If you are lucky at the moment, you can win with any strategy or without any, that's what I'm positive of. Bet with 0.01% win chance and you will win if you are lucky.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now that Bitcoin halving have been completed, what next? on: May 23, 2024, 08:47:23 AM
~
I believe we are all waiting for a bull market and a proper ATH as history has shown us. But do you see that history is somewhat being changed and that is shown by the fact that bitcoin had an ATH before the halving?

History keeps changing all the time, we can do nothing about it.  We can only talk about probabilities, and the probability of something that was happening for years before to happen again is high. That ATH that Bitcoin had before the halving is nothing compared to the proper ATH which we all are expecting, and you know it yourself.

And will history repeat itself or will we have new history? I mean there won't be another bull season? I was thinking about this and also saw someone making this hypothesis on social network X, which also made me think a lot. Will this terrible scenario happen?

What terrible scenario, bro? What are you talking about? Smiley Just look at how BTC was behaving for the past year:

Is it terrible in your opinion?

I think we can say that another bull season has begun since the end of January, and now we are in the middle of it.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your slices Luck that would have made you millionaire in gambling? on: May 23, 2024, 08:22:26 AM
Gambling has great risks here not everyone's luck is good.

Everyone's luck is the same as everyone else's. There's no such thing like people whose luck is good always. One time it's good and another time it's bad, and that's how it is for everyone. We can't know in what period of time, luck-wise, we are currently or will be in the future, but retrospectively we can say with some certainty whether it was a lucky day/hour for us or not.

Those who want to win big prizes can't avoid greed ~

Actually, I think it's possible. You just shouldn't bet more when you want to win more. There are other possibilities, like big multipliers for instance.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in and losing the bet on: May 23, 2024, 07:51:51 AM
Even if it's rigged as you'd like to think it is, remember that you're still stacked unfavorably against the odds so I'm not sure how you'd be able to anticipate it, I mean that's what happens with gambling, you think that the casino or the game is rigged and you feel like there's someone behind your back that's conspiring against but it's just the way that it is, you could've never known any better regarding the outcome, that was already the smartest move that you can do in that situation, it's just that you've meet the probability of similar cards. I too would've done the same thing if I were in that position because I know that there's no way it can ever be different right? Gambling is a game of risk and taking chances, you wouldn't be getting far in gambling if you're not aware of that fact.

Firstly, the game could be rigged in the place OP was playing it. There are tons of rigged games in unregulated casinos around the world, and, I think it will be like that always. What can I say? Don't go to such places, ever. If you want to have fun with gambling, go either to large luxurious land-based casinos or go to established online casinos, where nothing is rigged.

Secondly, what do you mean by "getting far in gambling"? It sounds like if he knew that "gambling is a game of risk", he could somehow regularly make money through it.

Other than investing in BTC, a happy wife is a happy life, which is so fn true  Grin how bout you?

Unfortunately I can't be original here, "a happy wife is a happy life" is the best advice I've ever received.
.

C'mon, your wife isn't going to peek at what you write in bitcointalk. Cheesy

You think that I'm afraid of my wife and that's why I wrote that?

Interesting. Where I live we are not afraid of our wives, we love them and we want them to be happy.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be careful with people's money on: May 23, 2024, 07:01:22 AM
I have seen many cases like this in my area where they manage public money or company money but instead are misused for gambling hoping to make a fortune but what happens is that they lose everything and the average person runs away but is eventually caught by the police.

This problem often occurs when someone manages a lot of public money like there is no responsibility they consider it like their own money that is played at the casino but after losing money he regrets it and is unlikely to compensate.

That gambling is indeed hot when you hold any money, the lust wants to continue playing and usually they have bad habits until the end becomes a disaster.

I think it's rather unusual to want to gamble with all the money when you have a lot of them, someone else's. Our world is big and so you can find a lot of such people, but compared to majority I'd say they are exceptions. Most people know that losing in gambling is easier than winning and so they wouldn't risk big amounts of money. Risking the money that doesn't belong to you is just disgusting in my opinion, and I'm pretty sure most people hold that opinion.

But regardless of their estimation, we can always set the fee manually, no?

Only if wallet you use let you do that. Few wallet simply doesn't let you do that or only let you choose between few fee rate choice.

Oh, I din't know that. I'm just using Electrum and there you can add or remove even just 1 satoshi from your fee. ( I hadn't known it at first and was using the fee that Electrum  was proposing me, but later, when the fees became unbearably high, figured it out.) So convenient!

Maybe that guy transferring over 1 BTC didn't care about losing 76.39 USD? It's indeed a small amount comparing to what he transferred.

You might be right. But even if you live in developed country, that money still could get you few lunch.

Yeah, it would be stupid to just throw the money away by anyone, even from a developed country.

This could be also some custodial service.  For example  withdrawal from an exchange/casino/other payment system.

Bad software exists everywhere...

This is most likely the answer. No human would make such a mistake.

That's impressive result, congrats, @Trofo! I only got 38 of them right in the end:

Next time I hope I will be participating in every Majestic7 game and I will do better. But that's just my hopes, because in the last game I got only one right:

One right prediction in each Matchday and 38 Matchdays, it can be again just 38 correct predictions. Smiley
