I'm not saying it won't be accessible everywhere, and to everyone, but I'm just worried for what it will look like when 8 billion people finally understand the concept of Bitcoin, and the community on this forum.
Is it even possible? I mean, can 8 billion people understand anything? Or agree on anything? I'm not sure about this. But if, by some miracle, that happens, the price of 1 BTC can be indeed over $1 million, as some optimists predicted years ago. Those who seemed crazy even by some members of this community will turn out to be right. To be honest, I personally can't wait for that to happen. |

My thoughts have to do with the lottery winners who end up worse off than before they won the lottery, totally broke and with more debt. They had better learn how to manage their wealth and not get carried away by the drunkenness of joy when it comes to spending their winnings. Have a little brains, please. Those are interesting stories, actually, thanks for sharing! Yes, "lucky winners" can become very unlucky ones if they if they use all the won money the wrong way. We should never forget about that and we should know that money alone can't bring us happiness. We have to be wise enough to really enjoy our winnings and for that we have to be educated. For those who are uneducated but won big money by chance, I would suggest to spend the money on education. That would be the best way to spend it. |

I use to remember those strategy during the old days of playing dice, something similar that since you think that you can't lose more than 5x in a 98% losing streaks then you'll just keep adding to your bet size to recover your loses only to find out that there's no assurance that the kind of losing streaks will take place. You'll just ends up regretting that kind of strategy and lose a lot of money, thinking that it will bring something decent but in return it's just another bad time with your gambling sessions. 5 times in a row with 98% win chance? I've never heard of such case to be honest. But as I showed above in my post, even two losses in a row with that win chance could be enough for you to lose so much that if you are a sane person you will not continue with your attempts to recover your losses. With five such losses in a row you can gamble away a budget of a small country. |

That is actually a real problem that I see among parents. Sometimes, when I see they play with kids (does not matter if it is gambling, board games or sports games), they play like they compete against equal adult. That is really annoying when I see adults beat kids, let say in chess, and call it as a valuable lesson, because kids needs to learn that the life if tough. Yeah, I agree, that's just annoying to watch, and hardly it gives kids any valuable lessons. Rather, they think "when I grow up I will be able to beat all the kids around in any game too!". I hope you realize that I didn't that kind of game. What I meant was playing a casino game, online or land-based one, in front of your kid in order to show him that it's easy to lose a lot of money in a short period of time, and that wins happen much less often than losses, stuff like that. ~
Btw, what about playing monopoly? Game with play money, but it teaches about investment, trading. If people avoid gambling in front of kids because they are afraid that kids will grow up addicted to gambling and lose money. Then why Monopoly is different? Because kids might grow up addicted to trading and lose money. Wikipedia says Monopoly is suited for +8 yo. Monopoly is different because of the pace of the game, first of all. Overthinking has been a big problem in most of the peoples life. Gives you a negative attitude, affects your relations with friends, family etc. How can you possibly stop yourself from overthinking when probably you have no control of what to think?
Keep yourself busy with different activities. It won't help if those activities will boring for you. You will just be thinking and overthinking while doing those jobs, so find something really engaging for yourself and start doing it. |

Aside from wins I don't really think there is much of an achievement in gambling except your are looking at a few other benefits like stress reduction for some gamblers that take gambling as more of a fun and leisure activity.
Stress reduction is much more important, for me at least, than wins, small or big. I mean, winning $100k or more would be nice, of course, but it's very likely that it will never happen in my life. But if I win $200, those feeling I get when winning it are much more important than money itself. Sometimes when some gamblers take their gambling goals too high they tend to lose their track of proper gambling habits. This is because some of them can begin to over stake just because they want to hit a particular target.
Right, don't aim for getting big money from gambling in the first place. Aim for entertainment and relaxation, and then will never be disappointed if you play the games you love. Winning money from it should be your secondary goal. |

In regards to upping your chances of winning something big, gambling every day is surely better than gambling once a year, BUT, and that's a big "but", you have to consider how much you are spending on your gambling too. If you buy a lottery ticket for $2 once a year, you can afford it even if you are a poor person. But if you buy several tickets each day, or play slots or whatever kind of gambling you prefer, spending $10-$20 on that every day, then even if you are are not poor, it can be problematic. So, you should always take into account how much you spend on your tries. |
