1  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Mining tools on: May 26, 2024, 07:02:39 PM
Have you already found one?
If not, I tried to search but I can't find any shops or sites that sell mining tools in the UK.

The tool that can reflash EEPRom is called hash board code editor and it seems there are few shops in Amazon or eBay sell this tool why not buy directly from them?

The last log is pointing to chip temp calibration it fails and the following logs is keeps waiting to the board to cool which is weird.

I heard someone before with the same issue but on Whatsminer m20s but he solved the issue by changing the pools.

You are still using Braiins pool according to the logs and I don't know what pool you tested before would you mind to try again changing the pool but this time use https://solo.ckpool.org/
Please use this while you are troubleshooting.

Would you mind changing the performance mode to saving mode if it still does not? Use whatsminer tool to change it from normal mode into saving mode you can find it under the control button. Let's see if it would run normally let it run first for 30 minutes and then update here.
3  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17+ Various number of ASICS found - ERROR_SOC_INIT on: May 26, 2024, 05:13:47 PM
If it was working before how did you exactly clean up the hashboard? If it is just a compressed air it shouldn't turn like this there might be something that you forgot to check after reassembling the unit.

Would you mind to try the busbar maybe it is not connected properly which is why it is not supplying enough power to the hashboard also try to clean all terminals on the control board use lacquer flo thinner or isopropyl alcohol to clean all terminals and connectors.
And don't forget to clean the busbar use sandpaper to remove the rust or to make sure it is clean sometimes dirt and rust are the reasons why the hashboard can't run well.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Have Raw private key stored in csv file, not stored in wallet.dat file on: May 25, 2024, 10:38:10 PM
Thanks guys for all your help on the matter.

The file is saved under the name bitcoin and has a country attached to it. there are 2 csv files named bitcoin with different countries attached to each.

That's pretty hard to guess if it's a wallet backup or not why not make a screenshot of the 2 files and where the countries are attached to the files?
I tried to research but I couldn't find someone have a CSV backup wallet.

If I were you try to make a screenshot of what it looks like and open it with notepad++ and check, make a sample that looks similar format to what is inside the CSV file and post it here with an insert code tag(A # button when editing a post.) make sure you didn't copy the whole part just make a similar code so that we can compare if it's the same format as the normal wallet file.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Isn't trading almost like gambling? on: May 25, 2024, 10:22:12 PM
You should not generalize trading with gambling, because trading has several categories that cannot be equated.
When you say trading as gambling it will only apply to futures trading which makes one will only do the guessing whether the price goes up and down
or Long and Short, It does look more like gambling.

But when looking at Spot Trading, it's not like gambling at all.
You will only hold the assets you own and can sell at any price, even if you guess or your prediction is wrong the asset you will still have.

You can be sure the two concepts of futures and spot trading are very different, especially when talking about the category of Binary options trading that only takes advantage of crypto market price fluctuations without holding any assets and only risks your Fiat for a chance to guess long or short (this is more risky).

And in conclusion you can't say gambling equals trading because it has several types of trading, you have to be more specific.
Futures yes it's risky without knowledge but I don't think futures would be considered as gambling maybe it's a gamble if you are just guessing where to enter and exit but they don't have much difference on spot trading the price action on the spot are the same as on the futures the only difference is we can lend as leverage to make any position and you don't totally have the assets because once you close you will only get the profit in stable coin unlike when you buy in spot trading you have the assets and can able to send or withdraw anytime outside the exchanges.
Also, trading on futures needs discipline and you should react quickly and should have risk management because if you don't have knowledge about risk management, TA, and FA then that's a gamble like no stop-loss, you buy or sell when it is on overbought or oversold if you keep doing that instead of making a profit you will lose all your capital.

The other advantage of futures is that you can also trade on a short position when bearish unlike in spot trading you will lose if you keep holding or you will end up selling your coins just to avoid further losses.
6  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin mining on Windows on: May 25, 2024, 09:57:53 PM
Nowadays it's hard to find any software that can mine BTC on Windows any software that contains mining is detected as malware or virus even if you find one like others said it's not worth it but I think it's possible only if you can develop the same as a cgiminer that can support Windows devices.

However, it still not worth it because you will need to own a node and a pool allows a low hash rate to mine blocks from your own pool because most of the pools do not allow miners that hashing below 1GH/s and another thing is it is resource intensive that is why it's not worth mining with PC or laptop.

You might also be interested on mining BTC using Gameboy that's the only one I see possible posted years ago check the video below

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Input from community on transfer fees on: May 25, 2024, 04:14:18 PM
What exactly is the CDC exchange you mean?
If the satoshis you that you collected and received it to some exchanges the fees when withdrawing it from the exchange are high sample on Binance the current fee for withdrawing BTC on Binance is around 0.001BTC in segwit network so that's too expensive.

So you don't have a choice but to hold it there or to exchange it to altcoin to be able to withdraw it with lesser fee.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Please need help on: May 25, 2024, 03:27:50 PM
He might be talking about a wallet address not the wallet number.

@OP I suggest if you installed a wallet on your PC you should be able to find the wallet file that you can use to recover your wallet but if you created a wallet on an online site then that would be hard to guess which one. The online wallet we used before at that time was blockchain.com but you need to add more info about your wallet as we do not know how you created your BTC wallet.

If its not a Bitcoin wallet from blockchain or any site and you remember that you installed a wallet software in your PC or wallet app in your device try to check the list of wallet from this link below and then tell us which one you use.

9  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 1246 strange on: May 25, 2024, 03:19:26 PM
its strange but thanks or looking
i sent the logs to ppl at bit2mine.com and they said control board but im going to swap the boards and see what happens

The common issue with the same logs is PSU but before trying to replace the control board I suggest you to try cleaning the busbar the metal part and the terminal you can use sandpaper to clean the metal part and then test it again this always work if not then you don't have a choice but to replace power supply or the control board which ever be the culprit.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your preferred method of converting bitcoin (or other crypto) to fiat? on: May 24, 2024, 08:04:36 PM
I usually exchange my crypto through exchanges but since some exchanges added P2P then most of my crypto is exchanged into USDT first on CEXs and then exchanged USDT into fiat through P2P on the same site sample like Binance or OKX.

Another option is to use Exch exchange I've tested this a few times exchange BTC from Exch into USDT in the Ethereum network receive it to my local exchange and exchange it into fiat.
11  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Exploring Hosting Options in Europe - Any Recommendations? on: May 24, 2024, 06:51:53 PM
I can't find any hosting options in Europe but I found an old post and it seems it's legit because the representative already has trusted feedback here on the forum you can check the profile from this link below.

It's not clear to me what is going on it might be a PSU issue or overheating but if you can share the logs of these units maybe we can see more insight into the unit issue.
You can post the whole API logs here just don't forget to put it inside the hashtag button or a code tag that you can see when editing your post.

Code:
Similar to this

So that we can read the logs clear or if you want to learn how to read the logs check the manual from this link below and go to the bottom.

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: generating fresh deposit address (Electrum) on: May 24, 2024, 12:18:01 AM
i need help with how to set-up freshly new deposit address everytime someone wants to deposit money Cheesy

If that's what you need then I already provided the link it only needs your xPub or master public key all generated deposit addresses are generated from your own wallet you fully control like the wallet you created from Electrum you can use the xPub from that wallet to import it into BTCpay all deposit addresses generated when someone wants to deposit in your site it would generate a unique unused address that you can also see in your Electrum wallet.

Better read the documentation to guide you on how to host this below

14  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: mine Bitcoin with a high end laptop on: May 24, 2024, 12:06:40 AM
The laptop even if it is high-end it's not worth to mine altcoin or even if you can able to mine Bitcoin it's not worth it because you will never reach your ROI and in the worst case it would end up melting components inside your laptop. After all, as the above said it does not well cool.

I suggest if you want to mine BTC buy a ASIC unit as suggested above It is a bit expensive but if you are looking for 2nd hand unit at a cheap price contact offordscott here https://offordscott.t.me/
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: generating fresh deposit address (Electrum) on: May 23, 2024, 11:39:46 PM
It seems you're not done yet? You didn't mention what exactly you need?

Or do you developing a payment method and you are trying to implement it on your website?

I suggest if you don't want to some control your wallet or use any centralized payment methods why not use BTCpayserver?
You can host this on your own PC and add other coins supported.

If you are interested check this link below.

16  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Whatsminer M21S fault-- NEED HELP on: May 23, 2024, 11:24:32 PM
The company was CoinMiningCentral. I don’t believe it’s a defective unit as I bought 2 off them and they’re doing the exact same, it just keeps coming up with restart due to hashrate error. I’ve only had it a couple times run properly while I’ve been trying to sort it but can’t get it to consistently run as it should. It comes to the point when it normally restarts and irons out the hashrate and instead it just cools down and repeats the cycle.

I thought you solved your issue? Do you still have this unit?
If still have not solved your case I suggest try to change the network type from DHCP TO Static and leave the IP the same only adding DNS you can use GoogleDNS or Cloudflare DNS because I believe your ISP is blocking any mining-related like pools.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Explain crypto options to me on: May 22, 2024, 10:51:05 PM
I don't get what you are trying to point out because you mention futures and leverage and stop loss.

Are you talking about the Binary option? But I never heard of a Binary option that has stopped loss.
If I'm right then the Binary option only has two options up or down and this is very risky because if you lose the total amount you set is fully deducted from your total capital minus the fee if you predicted it wrong that's totally different from futures or leverage trading because there's no stop loss in binary option it is likely just yes or no and it is totally a gamble.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet is better for lightning network on: May 22, 2024, 10:15:17 PM
I don't see any better Lightning wallet than Electrum there are some not well-known Lightning wallets but not good for long-term use.

Anyway, if you are looking for an Electrum lightning guide check this link below.

Oppsss... the first response above edited the post immediately that includes my link any way for video guide check this link below to get some idea of how to open a lightning channel on Electrum.

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Have Raw private key stored in csv file, not stored in wallet.dat file on: May 21, 2024, 11:47:38 PM
I never heard that Bitcoin core or Electrum generates a .csv wallet backup maybe that backup is your list of addresses or transaction history.

If there are other more files I suggest look for backup wallet files listed from this link below

20  Economy / Reputation / Re: Request to remove negative trust. on: May 21, 2024, 11:31:23 PM
No one would be able to remove negative trust even mods can't able to remove them.

Have you tried to contact who gives you negative trust?
That should be the one you contacted to and tell him the reason or point him to this thread for discussion.
Because he is the one who can remove it or change it into neutral.
