561  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Temperature reading error on: December 29, 2023, 06:20:57 PM
No much info what the cause of the temp reading issue?
I'd like to suggest download the WhatsMiner tool to find the issue and error codes.

You can download the Whatsminer tool from this link below

Once you find the error codes shown on this tool check the error code under this link below and then follow the solution according to the error code.

562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone know what is going on with ViaBTC transaction accelerator? on: December 29, 2023, 05:08:07 PM
No luck many people use Viabtc accelerator they are waiting every hour and not only real users I do believe someone also uses a bot and bypasses the captcha to submit their unconfirmed transactions.

We already discuss this check the thread below

The link already posted above faster than mine.
563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it a legit airdrop or not? on: December 29, 2023, 04:58:51 PM
Airdrops are legit but the problem is we do not know how legit is y24 token.
Currently no data yet on Coingecko it doesn't even have any announcement here on the forum and it can't find much info about this and we do not know why this token was created or any future plan for this project(Roadmap).

What I see on their Twitter page it is restaking which makes you passive income up to 86% APY.
For me, it's obvious they made this as an investment token we know almost all investment sites/projects out there are scams if it was just made to let your investment grow by almost 86% APY with no roadmap or purpose why this project was created.
564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Some help would be great as I am lost. on: December 29, 2023, 12:59:11 AM
Should I start over completely?  I have this feeling like my bitcoin core for windows is kind of useless if I want these personal server-type thingies.

Well, it's way safer if you run a Bitcoin node in a Linux OS.
Based on Samourai Dojo documentation they didn't mention Windows OS but Linux environment so I think it's time-consuming if you still want to recover corrupted data from a virtual machine and fix them.

It would be better to start over again but this time instead of using a Virtual Machine use an extra hard drive/SSD to install Linux OS and Bitcoin node.

Edit:
I found a guide that I think that fits to your needs if you want to stay using Windows you will need an extra device to install a Bitcoin full node server.
Read this guide "[GUIDE] The simplest Full Node guide ever. [GUIDE]"
565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Which version of the Core Client for a cold wallet should I use? on: December 28, 2023, 11:59:40 PM

It's a Raspberry 2 with Raspberry Pi OS (based on Debian bookworm).

I don't think Bitcoin Core would work normally on Raspberry 2 it didn't meet the minimum requirements.

Read the minimum requirements here https://bitcoin.org/en/full-node#secure-your-wallet

It requires 2 GB so this unit where you plan to install the Bitcoin core would not work normally due to low memory unless you configure it to use less memory.
566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Bitcoin Guides Would Help You Most? on: December 28, 2023, 12:10:56 PM
For me, I think it related to Crypto trading strategies because most of the guides out there are not free if you can provide detailed trading guides and new strategies for free many of us will be happy.

I agree with others too that wallet-related guides and how they can secure their wallet will help many people if you can provide a detailed guide about wallets and security. Also, take note of Web3 because this is the most keyword used on Google searches these days.
567  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 1126 or 1246 immersion. on: December 28, 2023, 11:44:52 AM
Hi,

Would it be the same with the avalon 1166pro?

You can try there is someone here who tested it he went to 1166pro immersion but he experienced some issues with two hashboards not working and the one hashboard working randomly. However, his two miner works normally without fan.

Check his thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5377607.0
568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Worth buying 1B SHIBA INU ? on: December 28, 2023, 11:35:47 AM
No one knows what will be the price of Shiba Inu after 10 years but there is a possibility that it could reach 0.002$ however, since it wasn't created for adoption it's very risky to hold such a big amount 1b Shib is around $10k and take note it's not a coin but a token, unlike Dogecoin.

If I were you instead of investing all of your money in Shiba why not diversify your investment and not focus on Shib because there are lots of other options that have more potential compared to Shiba Inu like Solana or Cardano.
569  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ViaBTC offers no more free TX acceleration? on: December 28, 2023, 12:24:38 AM
I am sometimes lucky to see a few free remaining submissions on their accelerator the last time I used it was last week but right now I tried every hour always zero free submissions. I believe someone uses bots to automatically submit unconfirmed transactions.

Viabtc Captcha is very basic and easy to bypass they should replace the reCaptcha with Google reCAPTCHA v3 to get rid of these bots or else no real users can use their free accelerator.
570  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: RedotPay Crypto Virtual Card & Pysical card. on: December 27, 2023, 11:55:25 PM
Never heard of it but I saw their reviews there are some bad reviews and good reviews.
I checked Whois and it was 6 months old their contact info is located in Arizona but according to some articles out there and their "About Us" they are located in Hongkong China.

For me, I can't trust my documents to them because they lied about the location.
Their service might work for you but it might not work for others.
It's risky for big transactions so only deposit that you can afford to lose.
571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are there any bitcoin faucets nowadays !! on: December 27, 2023, 05:33:28 PM
Faucets before gave you instant Satoshi directly to your Bitcoin address but right now there's no faucet where you can claim satoshis directly to your wallet, most of the faucets right now have a withdrawal limit and it's time-consuming before you reach the required amount to be able to request for withdrawal.

If you still looking for Bitcoin faucets we have a section here where you can find them including other coins check the link below.

572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin POW to POS the key? on: December 27, 2023, 05:16:24 PM
I don't think Bitcoin developers would switch from POW to POS-based consensus but that's a good alternative solution to the current network congestion.

However, this is impossible to happen. The only solution that I can see is to remove BRC20 or needs mass adoption of the lightning network or they need to add more ASIC units to increase the network hashtate because it can help confirm transactions fast.
573  Other / Archival / Re: 📌 [banned mixer] - Maximum Anonymity 🤖 Fees 1 - 5% on: December 27, 2023, 04:40:04 PM
On the first attempt accessing the website, it keeps loading on Cloudflare checking I'm stuck there until I disable the desktop mode now I can access the site.

The design looks fine to me it was a dark version before and now it's a light version but you can switch to dark mode if you want under the menu or top-right corner.

All buttons are functional and fast same goes for the Tor browser all of them are functional. The page size is 80kb according to some checkers and the performance of the sites is great.

About "LetterGuarantee.txt" it shows the date, deposit/your BTC address, service fee, PGP fingerprint/signature, and warnings. The format is just the same as other mixers out there.

The mixing process on basic anonymity is smooth after waiting for a few hours it takes hours for me to receive BTC but I think the issue is due to network(transaction fee) spikes recently. Other options are a bit expensive so I can't afford to test them.

The only downside of this it uses a cloud flare which we know records the IP address of their customers/visitors. So I'm not sure but since you said you don't keep logs how about the Cloud flare? So I think better bring your customers to Tor link instead to avoid this.

Another thing is there are some issues with the website related to accessibility you need to fix them look at this link below.

574  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Start and stop mining under 10sec - model and programs? on: December 27, 2023, 03:22:03 PM
Thanks,

I have heard that someone has tried to program a software that could pause the mining so that the power will go down like the sleep but could be again start mining fast.

Adjusting power down fast is easy. Just shutdown or set to sleep but the difficult one is to start the mining again fast.

So you are looking for a software/program to automatically shut down the miner and rerun it when needed?

I think awesomeminer is what you looking for where you can set rules for your ASIC unit to pause or stop the miner it drops the power or it runs at idle mode it's not hashing but it consumes power.

575  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Logging in to old account and backup file on: December 25, 2023, 11:58:39 PM
I'm a bit confused what exactly wallet do you use?

If you talking about bitcoin.com when you create a wallet it should give you 12 words phrase so who sent you the wallet.data?

Can you check the email who sent you the wallet.data?
Maybe the wallet app you talking to is a different wallet?
576  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 1047 will not hash, logs ok? on: December 25, 2023, 01:25:16 AM
What is new to you? Do you mean you bought this unit brand new?
Where did you buy it?

Based on the logs only 2 hashboards are detected and under ECMM it shows abnormal it indicates the hashboards/control board is not communicating properly or the hashboard is faulty.

You can try to disconnect all hashboards first, clean all plugs and terminals with isopropyl alcohol, plug them in again make sure it's fixed, and then run it again and check for any changes on the logs.
577  Other / Meta / Re: Has anyone here received bitcointalk phishing emails? on: December 24, 2023, 06:05:49 PM

Assume you have 2fa enabled on your binance account. You may receive phishing mails for your 2fa code. I was implying this could become thing for bitcointalk for as well, since this forum now has 2fa.
I don't think 2FA would become a problem on the forum because it was created as an extra security layer for your BTT account. Another thing is if you know you didn't log in and requested for 2FA code and you receive an email about the 2FA code you should be aware that someone is trying to phish you.
You can avoid them and put them into spam once you receive an OTP without requesting it or without signing in.
578  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3commas or Corninx on: December 24, 2023, 05:49:18 PM
Never heard of Cornix I searched for it here on the forum but no one mentioned this trading bot
So if I were you better not to use the Cornix bot and instead use 3commas I already tested them with a trial I don't know if they still have a trial plan but based on my experience the bot works fine I'm using the DCA strategy when I tested it before.
579  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Move p2pk balance on: December 24, 2023, 07:44:05 AM
It seems you can only move your balance out from P2PK if you using a Bitcoin core wallet and import it and send them via Bitcoin cli(RPC) commands.

Check this link below

580  Other / Meta / Re: Has anyone here received bitcointalk phishing emails? on: December 24, 2023, 07:17:41 AM
I don't receive any phishing emails I am confused about what you trying to say so what exactly do you mean by "you cross about scammers may now phish 2fa"?

Theymos already added 2FA if you receive an email from Bitcointalk it's not phishing email check the topic below

Better check carefully the email you receive if the email is not a bitcointalk then it is a phishing email.
