101  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Mining Question on: April 02, 2024, 06:07:39 PM
No, mining Bitcoin should be only works on ASIC units even if you have 2000VPS you can't mine Bitcoin because it requires ASIC.
Maybe you can mine other coins with your VPS but not for Bitcoin.

The link you provided looks like a cloud mining site and it mines different coins I never heard of this website before are you trying to promote it here?
102  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Need latest firmware for whatsminer m3x on: April 02, 2024, 05:54:02 PM
hello do you still have these sd card files im running into the same whatsminer problem

No my PC is newly formatted all my ASIC files are gone and the source form the link I provided before is no longer available or the files are deleted.

Why not use the firmware from whatsminer support? It should be available there just in case you  don't know check the link below.

103  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Atomic Stealer - Mac OS malware that targets crypto wallets on: April 01, 2024, 01:50:37 PM
That is why we must avoid clicking on links from Google or Bing Ads because most ads these days are phishing crypto sites that can steal your wallet funds not only on MacOS but also on other devices such as phones and Windows OS. Even if you are a Linux user, if you are unfamiliar with phishing sites, you may fall victim to this trap.

I always use a VPN to block all these ads. I also use uBlock and Antivirus to protect my PC from virus and malware attacks. Also, whenever I visit a legitimate website, I double or triple check the URL I type before I proceed to do anything on the site.
104  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: UART SERIAL INFO - BItmain ControlBoard fails to get IP, even after flashing. on: April 01, 2024, 01:30:37 PM

april fools day joke.

but pay not attention to me as I am a loudmouth 😀

Ow it's April I forgot that is why my merit is also decreasing. That's a weird joke  Cheesy
105  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: UART SERIAL INFO - BItmain ControlBoard fails to get IP, even after flashing. on: April 01, 2024, 11:22:31 AM

Also, how do you know it was bricked?

You said that the control board fails to get the IP or the unit is inaccessible so that's the reason why it makes me think that the control board might be bricked.

Any related software flashing if you flash it wrong it always ends up bricked like phones if you flash a corrupted firmware the phone might end up boot loop/bricked with no power.

There's something weird in your profile how did you get -68 merits?
106  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Paid bitcoin to get Copper memeber status - still can't add image to my OP? on: April 01, 2024, 11:15:24 AM
The forum does not use Imgur image anymore

Oh ... what does it use?

That's where you going to upload the image you want to post here imgurl is no longer work here on the forum.

Alternatively, you can also upload the image you want to post here from the link below just copy the BBCode full link after you upload the image.

107  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Antminer s17e found block when solo ckpool mining but no transaction to wallet on: March 31, 2024, 10:06:20 PM
How to I see the block number? I just see in the Miners status summary that FoundBlocks has a value of 1 (or now it actually has a value of 15!!). Guess the miner itself is reporting wrong?
It's a known issue on Bitmain units that gives you a false report if you want to confirm that you are mining a block better go directly to your ckpool solo mining status it should give you insight if you found a block.

Use this link below
- solo.ckpool.org/users/PasteYourBitcoinAddressHere

Then check if you found a block and I suggest bring your issue from the link that I posted above because they are the only ones who can explain why you didn't receive anything.
108  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer Control s17Pro not work not ip not flashing green and red led on on: March 31, 2024, 08:43:54 PM
SD card is new and working 8GB WD

PCB is removed and host powered 12V 10A

It doesn't matter if it's Braiin's OS or original company goods, everything doesn't work

I can send him pictures then you can see what the board is doing

If it doesn't work try to flash it through the serial port(RX, TX, gnd).

If still does not work then its possible the control board has a hardware issue you don't have other choice but to replace the control board or hire a professional tech for repair.
109  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: UART SERIAL INFO - BItmain ControlBoard fails to get IP, even after flashing. on: March 31, 2024, 08:38:55 PM
It seems the control board can't get a proper IP. Would you mind to check the Ethernet terminals and try to clean them with isopropyl alcohol?
Since it was bricked the only way to reflash it is by flashing it through the serial port there's a guide on Zeusbtc that you can follow check this link below

110  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer Control s17Pro not work not ip not flashing green and red led on on: March 31, 2024, 07:39:42 PM
I can't find an IP on the network either

on the board also not light up all 3 green leds

reset not work ip report not work

What can it be?
Try to disconnect all hashboard from the control board and flash or boot it again with the SD card recovery.
If it doesn't work try to replace the SD card sometimes some fake SD card when pasting the firmware to the SD Card it becomes corrupted so make sure that you are using an authentic SD card then try to flash it again.
111  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer Control s17Pro not work not ip not flashing green and red led on on: March 31, 2024, 06:32:53 PM
Did you flash it with the wrong firmware?
Did you recently upgrade it to the latest version?

Anyway, would you mind to try flashing it or boot it with Braiins OS and Let see if the control board is still fine or not follow the guide below

112  Other / Meta / Re: Can the Admins sent a mass voting PM to know when did people find out about BTC? on: March 31, 2024, 05:44:56 PM
There's no mass emailer here on the forum maybe you can send PM manually to any forum members you want but for instant mass email or bulk PM, you can't find these tools here on the forum.

What exactly do you want to achieve? If you want to let others know your thread why not wear it as your signature?
113  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitget Wallet Reviews on: March 31, 2024, 03:20:48 PM
I think any web3 wallet that came from any exchanges is not safe why don't you just stay using Metamask wallet?
However, if your purpose is to join Airdrop you will need to install this web3 wallet from Bitget just like on Binance they do also have a web3 wallet you can't join to any Airdrop if you don't install their web3 wallet.
Only use their wallet for airdrop it's not good if you transfer all your funds from Unstoppable Wallet to their web3 wallet like others said above it does not have an open-source wallet which is a red flag for me however, we can only join and get airdrop if we install their web3 wallet. Based on my experienced it's working fine I don't see any issue just make sure you don't hold any coins/token from this wallet and only use this wallet to get airdrops.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the fundamental difference between Proof of Work (PoW) and (PoS) ? on: March 31, 2024, 02:13:50 PM
If you copied and pasted it, likely that is the reason you posted it fast. Include the link next time and not just try to plagiarize.

Not only plagiarism is what he did wrong the worst thing is that his post is AI-generated 100%. That is why he can respond right away because he generated it from chatgpt.

So the post is 99% plagiarism and 100% AI-generated which is not allowed here on the forum.
115  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to stop unconfirmed incoming tx tie up your funds you already have? on: March 29, 2024, 06:33:46 PM
There's no problem or danger with importing a wallet as watch-only it's the best thing you do if you only signing transactions on an airgap device like a phone.

Coin control is what you need if you don't want to spend any unconfirmed transaction check the image below you can also ignore and don't add other coins if you don't want to spend them all(Confirmed or not).

Once you add a confirmed transactions that's the only coins you can spend on the send tab.
116  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to stop unconfirmed incoming tx tie up your funds you already have? on: March 29, 2024, 05:14:26 PM
If they pay you with a small fee you can do a CPFP so it shouldn't be a problem because anytime you can make a transaction with the unconfirmed transaction and add an extra fee but to make sure it would confirm check it first on the blockchain explorer if it's not a series of unconfirmed transaction because if it's a series of unconfirmed transaction even you do CPFP with high fee there still a possibility the transaction will be rejected.

Or you can just wait until the receive transaction is confirmed before you spend since Electrum has coin control it shouldn't be a problem if you want to spend only confirmed transactions.
117  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Windows client does not start after update on: March 29, 2024, 04:51:55 PM
Have you tried to check the task manager and maybe Electrum is stuck and running in the background?
If you find it on the task manager just right-click and choose "end task" and then reinstall Electrum again to fix the issue.

If it does not work maybe the antivirus is blocking Electrum I suggest you to try adding the Electrum to Antivirus> settings >exclusion folder/software. Reboot the PC and try to rerun Electrum.
118  Other / Off-topic / Re: Aren't we getting hacked by unknown phone calls? on: March 28, 2024, 11:37:39 PM
I usually don't answer random calls unless they message me first and if I know him/her I'll immediately answer the call.

For safety purposes don't randomly answer a call unless you are using a phone number that is not connected to any wallet account or exchange account or anything with money involved because they can maybe able to trace you or hack your SIM card just for safety never answer them.
119  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: s17 BM1397AG asic chip resolder - What to use as stencil? on: March 28, 2024, 10:12:33 PM
Honestly, you don't need to use stencils. Soldering iron, flux, and a bit of soldering lead should be enough to reball an ASIC chip and BGA hot air when you are going to resolder the ASIC chip to the hashboard.
You only need a stencil if you are in rush but for a single 2 or 3 chips for me, I don't need a stencil.

Ok, I found a video you can use on how to reball it without stencil check this link below.

120  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: avalon 1126 pro 68T hashrate drop on: March 28, 2024, 09:30:07 PM
Based on your logs it only detects 2 hashboards which is why the hash rate dropped and I think the reason why the 3rd hashboard is missing is due to overheating look at your chip temps it is more than 85c also notice that Tmax and MTmax it's more than 85c which is overheating. Try to run the miner at normal instead of running the unit at performance mode. If you keep running your unit at performance mode you just killing your hashboard due to over temp unless you can maintain the hashboard at 85c below.

You might need an extra fan to cool your miner a bit and it always happens in summer seasons.
