321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to connect a antminer to my Network? on: February 23, 2024, 04:22:47 PM
What network?
You can connect your Antminer to any pools you want listed from this link below.

If you mean that your network is your own full node then you would need to host a pool to mine solo in your own node.

Check the guide here https://github.com/rsksmart/ckpool/blob/master/README_original.md

For no hustle solo pool check this https://solo.ckpool.org/
322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s, Altcoin’s Private Keys are all Compromised. Second proof. on: February 22, 2024, 09:41:39 PM
I don't know why, but I can't browse Alamy's site. Even I tried on Tor to check if I had an IP issue. So I can't check live what exactly is going on and how. But I don't believe private keys are compromised anyway because they aren't stored online. The site may generate an image based on your search. Or the search engine will show you that it partially matches your search. This isn't enough to explain why all the private keys are compromised; otherwise, funds would be stolen. But we haven't heard of any cases where someone stole funds from the wallet by getting private keys from Alamy sites or by random check.

Is it actually just a bluff or FUD if you search it using the private key he posted above it does show only 3 sites in my case including this thread since the method requires you to go to images you can see under images you can find Alamy accessing it with or without VPN it does not work in my case.
What I see here he might be just want to get impressions on his images since you can sell images on that site and maybe he is trying to bring people there to get impressions and get buyers.
323  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anatsa Android malware downloaded 150,000 times via Google Play on: February 22, 2024, 06:14:16 PM
I'm using Android but I haven't experienced some malware and spyware yet with my phone I always keep updating the security update on Samsung to make sure I have the most up-to-date data from the server and have Kaspersky antivirus.

If you are randomly downloading some apps on your phone you can be also one to fall to this trojan malware.
So people should be careful in installing any apps if they use their phone with some banking apps or crypto wallets only use them for that purpose if you are going to install other apps not related to financial(Bank or crypto) use other phones to avoid such malware.
324  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitman S19 Pro hydro - spare hasboard on: February 22, 2024, 05:07:46 PM
But what bothers me is that sometimes it ends up with an error, see  code.  I don't know what it can do.  And it's randomly on all boards.  The temperature is good, but today I heard that every chip is not reporting the temperature.  That there are only three sensors.  Then I wouldn't know how the plate is somewhere in the middle.

What do you mean it's randomly on all boards? Do you mean in all hashboards the error comes up?

Did you already did some basic things to do first before you decided to replace the hashboard?

I suggest flash the unit first with the latest firmware and maybe it is just a software bug. If it does not work try to flash the unit through the SD card.

If it still does not work try to run the unit with only one hashboard and check them one by one if they are working fine there might be an issue with the power supply maybe it can't give enough power to run all hashboards.
However, if the one hashboard is not working as your said then focus on that hashboard if you don't have technical knowledge to repair then you don't have any other choice but to buy a replacement.

You can try contacting Zeusbtc sales on their Whatsapp # +8618623251355 or sales staff email faye@zeusbtc.com they might have a spare hashboard for this unit.
325  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Where do large mining companies send old ASICs? on: February 22, 2024, 04:32:21 PM
And what will happen to these ASICs next?
Will they be sold to other countries or disposed of?

I don't think they are going to dispose of these units I think they are going to sell them if they are no longer making any profit. It's too expensive to sustain a mining farm if you don't have a source to pay bills and maintenance except for those who have free power source.

I saw lots of sold units on Offordscott Telegram group, so I think some of these companies sold their units to Offordscott or used Offordscott as a broker or middleman to resell these units.
326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Generate Bitcoin address from Ethereum address via Metamask on: February 21, 2024, 08:34:22 PM
Never heard of any Web3 website that uses metamask with your ETH address(Privkey) to generate a Bitcoin address.
Are you sure that it is a Bitcoin address? Do you know the 3 first character of your Bitcoin address? Legacy/Bech32 address?

Why not export the private key of this Ethereum address from your Metamask wallet and import the private key to any Bitcoin wallet like Electrum?

Or you might be talking about Zion here's their website btc.justsnap.io
327  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Lost transferred bitcoin on: February 21, 2024, 08:05:13 PM
I tried to install the bitcoin.com app to do some tests and indeed it didn't provide a seed phrase it only requires Google email to sign in.
You can only get the seed phrase after you sign in with your email and then go to settings>Backup & security>Manual backup>My BTC wallet.

If your wife didn't do this then the last option she had was to sign in again with the same email she used before. I'm not sure if she will get the same wallet after she signs in with the same email he used before but try it and maybe she will gain access again with her old wallet.

There is also a cloud backup it is disabled by default under settings>backup & security so she doesn't have any other choice but to try to recover it using the same email she used before.
328  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Withdrawing profits from Coinbase? on: February 21, 2024, 03:54:09 PM
I do have some of my holdings on a cold wallet but I have some on Coinbase too.

It costs every time I send my crypto to and from my cold wallet so trying to limit that and Coinbase is the safest exchange.

How are you sure that this is the safest exchange I have an account on Coinbase they locked my account and forced me to verify KYC even though I provided my documents according to them they are not offering any service in my country and my funds are locked and can't able to withdraw but I'm fine it's just a small amount the bad thing that I did is I submitted my documents even I already warned by some friends.

Maybe it is safe for those who live in supported countries but not safe for people outside of these countries.

Just always remember that if you don't have full control of your coins/holdings if this exchange suddenly hacked or down you don't have any chance to recover all of your holdings. Like others said "Not your keys, Not your coins"
329  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: show amount of the transaction in other currency (than BTC) before sending on: February 21, 2024, 03:07:18 PM
I know at one stage Electrum fetched the fiat currency data from the BitcoinAverage website, but that stopped working, so you had to set it to another exchange source.

Same here As I said above other exchange sources do not work only Coincap is working in USD fiat I don't have a VPN, Proxy, or TOR setup everything is my original IP but all of them except Coincap are not working. Other fiats also do not work only USD fiat works for me with Coincap other sources do not work without using TOR or VPN.

After a bit of research and found another report from Electrum just last month report on the Android version that stopped showing FIAT value and solved by disabling historical rates I tried this and it works.

330  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I Cant change Stop Loss position on: February 20, 2024, 07:52:08 PM
I never traded on BingX you mean if you set a stop loss in BingX it was locked and can't able to cancel it?
Do you see any error when trying to cancel it or the cancel button is greyed out?

In Binance you can able to cancel any order or position(Stop-limit) in spot trading so I think the BingX exchange is the only exchange that can't cancel your old stop-loss position.
331  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: S9k Zero Fan Error - Fans Running on: February 20, 2024, 06:56:42 PM

This particular run was to Braiins pool. I had no pool set up for 2 & 3. I had sale results with all three pools setup and also with cksolo pool.

How about in the dashboard under miner status? What do you see in the fan section is there any value or it show all fans are 0 even if you replace it with new fans?

About flashing the new control board for s9k there is no jumper that you need to move unlike other s9 series what you need to do is to download the TF card firmware from bitmain and just extract/unzip the image that you downloaded and paste all extracted files into SD card.

The proper instructions on how to flash this unit can be found here https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000267926-17-Series-Z11-Z15-S9K-S9-SE-control-board-program-recovery-SD-card-flashing
332  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fixedfloat has been hacked, don't fall to phishing sites. on: February 20, 2024, 06:30:15 PM
I never click or use sponsored links on Google I disabled them or blocked them on my settings under Chrome's intrusive ads settings or you should have a discipline not to click any links sponsored on the Google search to avoid falling into phishing sites.

Never heard of this instant exchange before I just recently found this exchange posted by eXch.cc from this posted link below they received an email from fbi.gov which is indeed that this exchange was hacked eXch was involved according to the email because according to the email the hacker uses eXch exchange to exchange some of the stolen funds.

333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum gas fee on: February 20, 2024, 05:39:01 PM
Why is it when making some transactions on Eth network the gas fee is always higher than other network?

Gas fees in ETH are pretty stable since after they switch from POW to POS algo due to a huge increase in gas fees last September 2022 so I don't think we can see so much increase in gas fees when making a transaction. However, if you are referring to the gas fee in USD value then it is high due to the recent price increase.

If this is related to exchange when withdrawing ETH or transferring it to another exchange I suggest if you don't want to spend high on fees use other networks with lesser fees but if you are withdrawing it from exchanges to your wallet not a good idea if you are going to use other networks to receive ETH.

And why did you made this thread here in the development section you should move this to beginners help section instead (it just moved to the altcoin discussion).
334  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Referral Code Not Working in My Region on: February 20, 2024, 04:09:51 PM
~snip~

Are you living on prohibited countries listed here https://www.binance.com/en/legal/list-of-prohibited-countries
If yes then you are not allowed to promote the referral links but if not maybe there is an issue with the app detecting your IP with a different country/region or are you using a VPN?
I suggest try to report the issue to their support area they can maybe able to help you or contact them here https://twitter.com/binancehelpdesk
335  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: show amount of the transaction in other currency (than BTC) before sending on: February 20, 2024, 03:37:50 PM
You can click on tools -> preferences -> fiat. Click on the fiat of your interest and you will be able to input the value in fiat.

On mobile. Click on the green circle (which is in blue if you use Tor or red when not connected) -> preferences -> enable fiat currency and select the fiat of interest.

For mobile version, credit to hosseinimr93 as he posted it before me.

It seems Electrum has some issue giving fiat data I've been having this issue since last year with no fiat value or data look at the image below.

However, I just fixed the issue by changing the source to Coincap so @OP if you have the same issue try to change the source look at the image below as a reference.

336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin-qt 26.0 keeps crashing on Ubuntu 22.04.3 lts - Help please on: February 20, 2024, 03:00:47 PM
How did you set it up to pruned mode?
What is your HDD/SSD size?
Maybe your storage size is full which is why it works sometimes or maybe the HDD/SSD is defective.
Or possibly bitcoin core may run out of memory when you open it which causes this issue.
Is there any other program running on the background?

What are your current system specs?

337  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency trading terms and meanings on: February 20, 2024, 02:37:37 PM
I hope next time sometimes do a Google research before you post here.
If you are looking for the meanings of these terms, there is a website with all crypto trading terms including all the ones you mention above.

You can find them all from the link below.

338  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How do you cool your Farm? on: February 18, 2024, 11:07:17 PM
If you don't want to spend on AC to cool down your farm then you should plan how you will bring hot air out from your farm while sucking cool air outside.
The best solution to cool your farm is to have proper ventilation check the sample diagram below from hashrate index for your future reference.

339  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Referral Code Not Working in My Region on: February 18, 2024, 10:58:14 PM
Which referral link do you send to your friend?
There are two options lite and standard referral which one did you send to your friend?

Here's what they said about lite referral below

Quote from: BinanceReferral
15. Starting from 2023-08-01, users residing in Japan are ineligible to participate as referred applicants in the Binance Referral Program. In addition, users residing in other countries/regions cannot receive rewards if they have a referral relationship with users residing in Japan. Please note that current referral relationships involving Binance.com Japan users will be maintained until further notice.

I also noticed this below in their new announcement about referring someone.
Quote
This is a general announcement. Products and services referred to here may not be available in your region

However, they didn't mention what regions or countries are not eligible.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Replace by Fee beginner question on: February 18, 2024, 10:39:46 PM
The 0.38BTC from 0.5BTC makes us confused without telling us what the exact amount you have in your wallet is.
I just thought that the total amount you have in your wallet is 0.5BTC and sent it all with a low transaction fee and then after you bump the fee you receive another unconfirmed transaction which means you have 0.88 BTC from your wallet like hosseinimr93 pointed out above and the 0.38BTC is the change transaction.
