1  Economy / Economics / Re: Will AI taking people jobs and make the world worse? on: June 30, 2024, 11:08:01 PM
~
In terms of efficiency and if AI can actually do jobs properly then yes, they definitely can. They'd probably just need some minimum amount of personnel to handle some issues whenever a situation outside what AI knows happens. Sadly I don't think they're at that point or even close to it yet. They're more of a tool of sorts right now. I'd say whatever you see in the internet right now with these showcases are more of AIs made for that, as a showcase. Not for real world use yet.

I'd expect a major shift in the aspects related to economy though since there's a LOT of workforce that AI can replace and if they were, then the economy could stagnate since the cash inflow would pretty much stop circulating among those commonfolk and would probably just revolve in businesses and the people that manufacture AI. Maybe a lot of new work positions may open up or maybe there's just going to be a company that's going to give out free money every month lol.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Despite the downtrend. Some memes are still green on: June 30, 2024, 09:48:55 PM
~
The memes don't follow the market, they follow the teams that manipulate their coins market lol. And no, the stories they make are just something they use to attract people not really something you'd consider when buying the coin itself for its possible utility, if there ever was. I guess if it was the narrative your buying then yea sure ig, but by then I'd just suggest investing in a novel writer lol.

And yes, short-term profits are usually the thing for meme coins. They usually pump sky high at some point then dump 6 feet under after some point, maybe a day or two for most of them.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the reputation or guarantee of casino sites being advertised here? on: June 30, 2024, 09:21:45 PM
~
At that degree of pessimism you'd probably have to start living in the forest due to fear of grocery food (raw or processed) being poisoned lol. Ultimately it's up to you to judge how trustworthy the casinos are, most of us here are just there to provide proof that it's at least trustworthy to one other person. At the end of the day it's still up to you to check it out, play around, and see what happens lol. Any company can go turn its back to its customers regardless of their current reputation.

And no, the forums not to blame. Well, ig if someone forces it down your throat then yea they should be somehow blamed but most of us here just "recommend" stuff, not tell you to play on it specifically. And for the last one, yes there has been some. Afaik they were easily found out though like 1xbit since people kept reporting them here.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: How to Maximize Your Passive Income from Cryptocurrency on: June 30, 2024, 10:24:08 AM
staking or Lending?
If we ignore everything else and just consider the profits, it doesn't even matter which, just pick which one gives more returns. It's not like there's a set % return for staking vs lending, it always depends on the project/platform. It's totally up to you and your capability to actually find ones that are worth it and safe.

Though in most cases I'd say lending offers more % compared to staking? You usually need a pretty big amount before staking even becomes worth it otherwise it just returns peanuts to you lol. Lending can net you big but you have to find one in the first place, and it's a natural risk. I wouldn't suggest it unless you have some big amount and by then, returns from staking vs lending would probably be about the same.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The benefits of Gambling on: June 30, 2024, 05:22:06 AM

That pretty much sums up most things though, except for 4 ofc since that's pretty specific. Wouldn't really consider them as such, the most important thing in stuff like gambling is just to have fun after all. It's why it's labeled most of the time as part of the entertainment sections and stuff.

I'd reckon the sooner people realize that the sooner they'd wake up from telling themselves that them gambling is actually helping someone since that actually sounds like a method an addict would do/say to themselves to justify gambling lol. Not gonna deny that those are positives, just that it's not exactly unique to gambling.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Was it a Gut's feeling a Mathematical calculation or a Coincident? on: June 30, 2024, 04:20:50 AM
~

Whenever I win it's always going to be a "gut" feeling. I won after doing gathering info between two evenly matched teams? Gut feeling. I won after randomly visiting a casino on my birthday? Gut feeling. Mathematical calculation is just absolute bs imo, it serves to tackle the problem across multiple instances, not just a single instance so it's never going to be the reason for a win. The odds don't even take into account how many tries/bets you've made in the first place, don't see any reason why it would be a valid reason for winning.

It's always going to be a gut feeling in gambling imo no matter what. If it's not or if some maths were used to actually win, is that even gambling in the first place?
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling platform require wager on first deposit before withdrawal on: June 29, 2024, 03:03:24 AM
~
And I'm assuming they also have a minimum deposit? At that point they might as well combine the two really imo. Anyway afaik, it should be perfectly legal? It's their casino/site after all so their platform their rules. Kind of iffy ethically I suppose but that's about it. Requirements for withdrawals have always been a thing before but it usually isn't this extreme afaik? There have been other posts about similar casinos before though so I guess things might be changing or something?

Kinda sad since we moved from doing KYC to be able to withdraw to adding more requirements like this. Probably will never move to a casino like this one if I can lol.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will set up a new token project, help on: June 29, 2024, 01:18:42 AM
~
Those 3 should be good enough for a start. After listing, if you really wanted it as a start, progress on trying to make your project marketable first. Build your social media presence, build a community around it and build a proper roadmap about the development of the project, not about listing it on the market instead.

Kind of funny how in the first place you want a project that is yet to be developed to already be listed on the market. Pretty sure your priorities are jumbled up right now and I'd suggest trying to look and research first how to build a proper project road map instead first?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about my new project on: June 29, 2024, 12:31:38 AM
~
Solid foundation directly equates to being accepted in platforms anyway so focus on that imo. It varies from project to project but they usually follow just a straight path of marketing the project to investors and users and with enough of a user base as well as updates from the team behind the project, I reckon you're good to go.

As for Binance, they have their own standards and measures when it comes to accepting coins for their platform. Afaik there's no direct set requirements, you just apply and hope you get approved. Since you've done your marketing strategy and proven showcase of it. Probably prepare some data stuff to prove that the project actually has a following, show data from telegram/discord/facebook/twitter followers/members and stuff like that. It's generic, but it's the usual showcase of your project being followed by people and being useful.

And it's never a what YOU think that matters. It's what in this case, the platform thinks that matters so get rid of that mindset imo.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bank teller stole $28,000 from customers to feed her gambling addiction on: June 27, 2024, 11:27:18 PM
~
Oh I must say this is still pretty light in terms of how far people can go lol. Even taking lives can be a simple thing at some point when you're addicted, let alone stealing from old people. I must say though the system of the bank must be pretty bad for a teller to have access to transfer rights lol. Afaik there should at least be a confirmation, using whatever methods possible, from the owners themselves or something similar.

Sheesh, while this might be true and it can happen due to severe addiction but i'll side with the others that gambling addiction is just for reasoning out to lesser the sentence only if its applicable by their law.
Does that even work as a defense? In terms of hoping for a lighter sentence? Not familiar with how judges decide on their rulings but I don't think that'd even make sense? Especially since I reckon addiction would have at least some semblance of proof. In this case maybe a casino account with countless transactions daily as a measure to show addiction?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Distracting Myself from Market Worries with a Shooter Game on: June 27, 2024, 09:54:47 PM
Okay they went outside of the usual crypto game stuff by doing an FPS, sure, but here's the thing. The market is FULL of fps games, and looking at thee trailers, it's similar to how you'd feel with warframe, COD, and stuff like that. If they don't improve on the game highly doubt they'd beat those titles and no, adding crypto coins does not help in promoting the game to be actually better than the others.

Other peeves about it is how is it released on epic games but has a beta right now? Plus I saw some of the coop playthroughs and holy it was glitchy as hell. How'd it win game awards? Or is said awards just so... unknown (at least idk about it) and that's why it won lol.
What about the token reward? I think it's still considered as profit generation, unless only if the token is also worthless. Axie started slow like any other start-ups but as soon as more people noticed it and think that it was a great game and has the potential to make them money, that started its success.

It's only sad that it died down later on but many projects are also like this. Well at least, a lot of people have still benefited with it, so they don't really feel that bad. I don't know if this project will have the same faith with it and the rest but let us only find out. As you said, anything in cryptos should only come in second but our priority is still our job, business and others that are already proven to earn us a stable income.
Individually yea I guess it's good since people still make money but for the game itself and its long term development? Definitely not. The market is basically the lifeline of the game. If it gets destroyed, it inevitably ruins the price of the token, which leads to loss of players which leads to well, the disappointing end of a game. Sure you can argue that it can go back up when players join again but no, people who make money out of it generally won't come back when it crashes imo.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bookmaker's predictive mistakes. on: June 27, 2024, 09:43:38 PM
~
Wouldn't really say say it's a mistake? A mistake is when there's a massively big difference between the odds that they wanted to provide towards the real one. That's a mistake. If you're talking about when the higher odds lose to the lower odds player, odds have never been a basis 100% for a match. It just shows that there's a big difference between the two that probably 9 out of 10 games (or something, depending on the odds), the higher odds team would win.

I guess you can say this is just an extension of arbitrage but hell in most cases there's really a minimal difference with it. I'd say it's honestly rare for them to make a real "mistake" since, well, that's what they're relying on a living for.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the merits and demerits of casinos setting withdrawal limits on: June 26, 2024, 11:23:09 PM
~
He won after winning, not after withdrawing lol. Withdrawal does jack with regards to someone experiencing the extreme adrenaline that people have when winning. It only serves to control people by letting/incentivizing them to play with the money they won instead of withdrawing it outside in which the latter means no profit (and just loss) for the casino, the former means the casino can potentially get back the money they gave out to the winner.

As for any merits well, I don't really see any. At least in the user side. Heck I can only see the only reason for a limit to exist is what I said earlier, so that the money stays in the casino and the players be tempted to play with it than withdrawing it.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you earn with your crypto? on: June 26, 2024, 09:49:24 PM
~
I usually do trading/shorting on some coins I feel confident about it and just long term trading. The long term should be doable to anyone, just that as the name suggests, it's for the long term. Should be pretty safe though and if you time it generally you'd be able to get at least 50% profit imo. Shorting is just as it is, up to you what you want to short. I recently got lucky with meme coins a few weeks ago but wouldn't really recommend it as one you'd want to short.

Airdrops give you close to useless stuff nowadays,  not really worth the time and effort given but if you have nothing then it might be worth it I guess? Probably better to just get some random beer money jobs(not crypto) imo.  As for staking, I just generally avoid it. Not worth risking my coins for.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin and not any Altcoin? on: June 26, 2024, 09:38:11 PM
~
I'd say that's the keyword? Altcoins failed in trying to be a better Bitcoin, and that's pretty much why Bitcoin is still the top choice even till now. Well, I pretty much started with it because I was curious about it's decentralized nature, and even till now it stands at the top even as one. Not to mention that on most bullish seasons, most alts follow the price of Bitcoin. Pretty sure that already speaks volumes about how much sway the coin can have on the market.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: The Higher the capital the higher the returns on: June 25, 2024, 10:56:40 PM
Don't chase bigger returns, chase more capital. This is also applicable to How much you invest in Bitcoin and how much profit you can get from it.
Bro just said skill issue, just get rich lol. While I do agree somewhat, it's more like higher capital invites more opportunities to create higher quality forms of investments in general. Oversimplifying it with higher returns make it seem like an advantage but it also invites an equal amount of possible loss. 5% profit for 100k is indeed 5k, but a loss of 5% is also 5k. What I'm describing by "opportunities" here is that by that point of 100k, 5k is probably just peanuts or something you can earn rather easily lol.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is performing just fine currently on: June 25, 2024, 09:52:01 PM
~
It's just expectations in general. Bitcoin rose up to 60k way too fast that most people were expecting it to break through 70k (which it did initially) and further beyond. Now that Bitcoin has corrected itself and is slowing down/trying to stabilize, they're pretty much disappointed since they bought at 70k and are now down lol.

And so far, Bitcoin has been impressive still. Even if we're down to 62k ish atm I'd say it's still in general pretty good. Not for those who bought at 70 though, but for those who bought at say 65, 67 ish it's still a bearable loss. And nothing says they have to sell their coins when the markets down.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLE RESPONSIBLY on: June 25, 2024, 09:39:12 PM
~
In general, just spend whatever amount you're comfortable to lose to hobbies or stuff you want to enjoy. It might be hard but ideally you would spend around 10ish to 20% of your monthly income really, at least that's what I do. It probably wouldn't be a lot if you have a low salary but it's pretty much necessary to start saving up and being able to build up an investment portfolio of sorts after all.

And never use your savings lol. I have no idea why people would do that when they themselves have determined it's their "savings". Maybe just avoid methods that let you spend money on casinos or deposit more. That's 400k jesus christ, and in dollars even!
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you look obvious when you win or lose in gambling after you log out on: June 24, 2024, 11:27:13 PM
~
When I lose, definitely. I've heard my friends told me that sometimes I just have this gloomy aura or something that's pretty obvious when they're looking at me and most of the time, those instances are after I just made an almost big win (but still lost) when gambling. I have always been told that I wear my emotions on my sleeve so it's nothing rare to me lol. It hasn't affected my daily life though to the point where I can't do my work properly if I am gloomy, just that it's pretty obvious with my actions or something.

I don't really see the need to address it, as I've said it hasn't impacted my life so far. If it will, then it might be time to regulate it a bit more (my gambling that is).
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Soldiers using gambling to cope with stress. on: June 24, 2024, 09:51:50 PM
~

Huh, would've expected the topic to be about gambling amongst soldiers themselves, like together and not through casinos. Like a 100% they should be regulated when it comes to online casinos, that thing just adds more stress imo. Not outright banned though. Maybe create a local casino for soldiers instead? It's a lot more fun to play around with people you are familiar with and 100% more effective imo in de-stressing.

And if they ever actually push banning gambling altogether, at least provide an alternative to the soldiers so that they can do something to de-stress. They know about it after all so seeing as they're only removing an effective solution without providing an alternative kinda sucks.
