Does anyone have an XML script to import VNL price to google docs that they could share?

I've been trying to make one but I suck at it Smiley.

Thanks,
  Pablo.

Ahh, I see.

Well that's a bit of a turnoff. Anywho, already bought Smiley.

1. Is there a linkdin page or somewhere I can get a bio and other RL info from the dev?

No, he is anonymous.  Undecided

Really? I notice a lot of people call him "John"?

I'd like to thank everyone for their helpful responses; I am actually buying my first coins on Polo right now and am eager to give the coin a try.

I still have some outstanding questions though:

1. Is there a linkdin page or somewhere I can get a bio and other RL info from the dev?

2. Do superpeers need to be hosted? I assume they need to be hosted due to the need for constant uptime/ if so, is their a service that can help me do this? I am not very technical but I will have my first 10k coins by the end of the day.

3. I have heard about Proof of Stake and have a general understanding of the concept, not sure how is works in practice though; I mean, do I just open my wallet and let my cash "stake" by itself? Does it even need to be open? Would it be better if I hosted it on a server? Etc.

Thanks,
   Pablo.

Just a P.S. to my last post:

Can someone please link me to the devs Lindin page?

Thanks,
  Pablo.

After reading the White Papers i have a couple of questions because I am not sure I grasp some concepts:

1. On instant send implementation, which of the three network layers performs the lock, the client, the peer or the super peer?

2. I understand the client to be the wallet, a peer to be a sort of "checker" or of locks on the network and the superpeer to be the equivalent of what in Dash would be a masternode. Is this correct? To be clear I am not saying it's the same thing, I just want to be able to relate something I don't understand to something else I have a better grasp on for the sake of understanding.

3. How are these layers incentivized exactly. As far as I understand it, people running superpeeers also need to solve a hash, somewhat like miners?

4. How many coins are needed to run a superpeer and how are these set up (can someone please point me to a guide)?

Sorry if some of my questions are obvious.

Thanks,
  Pablo.

Hey Guys,
Just saw the other comments, thanks for the reply. No, I wasn't trolling.

I will read up on the white papers and post questions if I have them, I would be interested in learning more. Definitely looks like I will pick some coin up if everything checks out.

Potential Investor here:

Could someone please give me some more info as to how VNL is different from Dash? Seems like a Dash clone afaict.

Appreciate any feedback/guidance you guys can give me.

One thing is missing on cryptowat.ch is the cumulative, maybe will arrive soon (as there is a - (DASH) there that should be the cumulative Wink
Interesting, i will keep an eye out on it.

In the mean time Dash is just dashing forward currently : http://coinmarketcap.com/

Dash in USD

Dash in BTC

I'm not sure where coinmarketcap gets it's feed, but I have checked it against Poloniex and Cryptsy several times today and it is always higher, by like 5-7%.

Anyone have any insight into this?

Pablo.

well, i agree it is a bit weird as my own sheet calculation with data plugged from Poloniex only shows 9.67% increase in Dash (USD) over the last 24 hours
(but then again my sheet also still thinks current price is 0.0078 .. seems to be lagging a little bit behind)

I think i will stop using coinmarket as a source for Dash % increases over the last 24 hours, it just seems too unreliable.... thanks for adressing this to me.

Hey, can you do me a favor and post the text you use to pull data from Poloniex into your spreadsheet? I use the coinmarket cap feed and I couldn't make the switch to Poloniex work.

I'd really appreciate it.

Just a quick update on the sale:

We have modified the offer cost to 10k USD.

Just to recap, this includes a database with a couple of thousand users, both the Butter-X and Butter-Bot code, a fully incorporated business (Panama) and an established community (120+ page thread).

We want the project to be taken over by someone who can make it lively and again and finish and launch BX, so if anyone is interested, or knows someone who would be, please PM me.

Smiley

Pablo.

Why you are selling such a popular trading platform ?
Is this site going in loss, If yes then how could anyone will be able to make a living with it as you have mentioned in your post
Or you don't have time to manage it ? Less profit ? Focusing on different projects ?
And did you tried listing this site in Auction ?

Well, the key reason is that although Butter was very profitable for a long period of time, we invested most of the profits (plus some extra) into our next generation platform Butter-X and turned our focus there. This was done with the expectation of carrying out an IPO on Havelock (where we also invested a huge chunk of money). The IPO fell through and we did not have enough money to continue developing X or BB; hence the decision was made to migrate the platform to a new owner or in default, shut down by December 31st this year.

I hope that answers your question Smiley.

Pablo.

Which means the site was not actually in loss but the expectations and usage of money for further development empty your bankroll and later then made your site hard to run, Right ?

And the question is can the site still now generate enough revenue to keep it up and running as it is now in the hands of new owner ?

Yes, you are right.

We had the option to keep running the site, but we were not sure we would be able to maintain new licenses purchased as the new volume of sales without Butter-X and new competitors propping up was uncertain. So we made the choice to protect our users, all our licenses were set to expire by December 31st this year and we had enough funds to run until that date so that's how the decision was made. We didn't want to continue selling licenses and have to shut down before they expired.

The site will likely be profitable for new owners who have reserve operating cash and marketing know how. The outfit we are discussing takeover with is extremely well funded and they are top marketing guys as well as offer world class customer service so I would be very surprised if they don't grow the business substantially given their resources.

Any updates?

Hey Smiley,
We are still working on this, it is not an easy process. We should have a definite yay or nay in a few weeks though Smiley.

Dash was the first coin that was attractive enough for me to become involved with to the extent that I stopped simply being a reader of BCT and actually created an account. Before that, I was simply a reader an investor. I have invested in other coins that I thought were innovative at the time like BlackCoin and PeerCoin (which thankfully I got out at a decent price). Call me a SHILL and keep convincing yourself that you're doing your own coin a favor, but I'm telling you, FUD only has so much shelf life before actually delivering something becomes more important. At this point, I'm sure that all the value your coin will ever get from trolling this thread has played out and now you're not only wasting your time, but you've damaged your own coin irreparably. I strongly advise you to regroup and think of another strategy. If you want mass adoption, it isn't going to come from stealing a few potential investors from Dash. If Dash eventually reaches mass adoption, this thread won't matter anymore anyway.

I've had my account a long time now, only post occasionally and sometimes not for a long spell. I pretty much 90% of the time read this thread on BTC over the others. That doesn't make my viewpoints any less relevant that I only post here. Keep turning off people like me... the rich guy with deep pockets that plops down real money into these projects. See where it gets you. Maybe if you troll hard enough, an actual usable wallet will magically appear for your own coin!

You could have had a major investor with me, but that ship has sailed. I wonder how many others there are like me that mostly read but don't post often that think the same way I do. I suspect it's more than a handful. It's time, Adam. Time for you and your ragtag group of full-time trolls to reconsider the negative impact you are having on Monero. Sophisticated investors - the ones that have the potential to make or break a project - do extensive research anyway. In the end, practical solutions win. Innovation wins. Trolling has only gotten you so far... nowhere. Again, if you spent 1/10th the time devoloping ideas for Monero and helping with the development as you spent here, you would be much better off.

RE:

I'm still trying to figure out in all of this what the Garza clans exit plan was. I mean surely they had some kind of this is how it'll all dissolve and end and we keep the money but get no repercussions from it. Did they not have an exit strategy or did the one they have just really backfire?

I think you overestimate these guys' brain power. You can see how bright they are when you realize that with their marketing savvy they could have created something legitimate and profitable over time. instead they went the instascam route.

PS: For you guys that were swatted; what did the police say? I mean, how does a conversation go after you get swatted, "Well officer, you see there is this thing called Bitcoin, and this guy called Homer-o".

LOL.

For Speculation:

Interesting spike in Masternodes; someone knows something we don't I would wager. Perhaps a partnership or main stream coverage?

Pablo.

Personally, I think it was the price drop.  A lot of people accumulated and set up masternodes.  I'm curious to know how many were newcomers here?  It would be nice to get more new people buying and setting up masternodes.  The more distribution the better!

I would be extremely surprised if there wasn't an announcement regarding something big and other than what we already know within the next two months or so. I guess not knowing is half the fun; man I wish I had another 20k to buy Dash Cheesy.

We've made some massive progress on the DS side and the next version will support network wide anonymity, that doesn't obscure UTXO like cryptonote, is instantaneous, has no bload, has blinding and other identity protection built in. We won't require a name anymore for the service, because it's not a service, Dash will just be anonymous by default.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Look who's talking! The criminal asshole scammer!

How much does your sphincter burn now that Evan is not only delivering your last remaining talking point "WHERE IS MASTERNODE BLINDING! OHH SCAM! YOU NEVER DELIVERED BLINDING!!!" [/retard-mode] but no, he even fucking surpasses it overdelivering and ramming this hard rod of improved DarkSend down your prison-ready shitter?!

YOU and your scam company TrashFast were the faggots making "extraordinary claims" with shit for evidence aka non-existent ASICs supposedly faster than anyone else's, stealing shitloads of money from gullible customers and now, deservedly so, you face criminal indictment. I hope you rot in jail.

Evan Duffield delivered on every. single. promise he ever made to this community and no matter how much bullshit you and your gang of hired retards, Moronero trolls and plain scammers produce and throw at him, you will never succeed in hurting DASH, so -considering your life's mission has inevitably failed- kindly kill yourselves. All of you.

I like how you roll.

Yes, Evan has delivered on everything; no sense in trolling him for giving us glimpses of whats coming.
