101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Twitter can make impact in the BTC world? on: October 27, 2021, 03:33:31 PM
Having a CEO who supports and probably invest in BTC is great. His vision to promote bitcoin is quite a smart move and everyone would probably benefit from this. Most probably lightning network should be deployed as well for lesser fees and faster transaction speed. This is better than buying stars in Facebook for tips.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin anonymous? on: October 27, 2021, 03:27:46 PM
Is Bitcoin entirely anonymous? It’s common for people to say that in reality bitcoin is absolutely anonymous but are not knowledgeable enough to know that is pseudonymous . Bitcoin being pseudonymous rather than the assumed anonymous gives us an understanding that each user has a established public address. So that further tells us theoretically bitcoin address can be traced back using an IP address or an exchange account.
We should be more concerned about to what level or extent is bitcoin anonymous ?

Well, to be more precise, Bitcoin is anonymous. I don't know if it's pseudo-anonymity, but if you have bitcoins on an unmanaged wallet there's really no way for anyone to find out. Once you make a transaction, again, the same thing. But do you really care about your anonymity when using bitcoin? Many bitcoin enthusiasts just focus their money and efforts on making more money after investing. Anonymity is not their concern and neither am I. My biggest concern about bitcoin is its profit.
Agreed. The fact that you tell no one that you own that address means no one has the ability to find it out. Probably theres no transaction that could lead to your identity. Not even IP address. You can use VPN if thats what makes you worry. In the other hand, in terms of its founding fathers, it was total anonymity. No one exactly knows who Satoshi is nor if its a group of people of just one genius guy.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ethereum price at the end of the October. on: October 26, 2021, 04:47:41 PM
Hello,
Can anyone predicate the price of the Ethereum at the end of the October? I have a little ETH and I want to know it is better to keep it or exchange it to the Tether!

Thank you.
October is ending and ETH's price has plummeted since then. I think it could still go beyond 4500$ and probably reached 5K before the end of the year. Upgrades about ETH 2.0 and the burning mechanism is really helping up the price action. Some of upgrades specially the lowering of its fees is on its way now so yeah very bright future for the top 2 cryptocurrency.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT a trustable? on: October 26, 2021, 04:44:23 PM
In recent days lots of bad news are hearing from usdt and what will be happen if the usdt is a scam, should i change other stable coin, any recomendation for the stable coin?
Lots of rumors emerges that USDT is not really backed by USD in a bank. I also heard that it happened between 2017-2019. Nonetheless, all of these are being resolved already and nothing to worry about. Besides these are just a bridge to what you really buy in the market.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin only? on: October 26, 2021, 04:41:12 PM
Thou shall not put all your eggs in one basket. This is one of the golden rule in investing. Expanding your portfolio is a must and could help you avoid loses and could potentially gain you more. Another thing is that Alts could give you more returns than BTC. It can literally give you moonshot like 10x to 20x with the right marketing strategy unlike bitcoin that is hard to surpass the 2x one unless you were one of the early adopters.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance promoting Shiba Inu on: October 26, 2021, 12:06:41 PM
I don't think this is much of a problem. Top exchanges promote coins or tokens they feel have much more traction, over its competitors. And binance is no exception. I think Shiba Inu would eventually eclipse Doge coin as the king of meme coins aka shit coins. Lol
With the current tweets from shiba Inu, they asked Elon about how many Shib he has and Musk replied none. In that instance, Shib drop over of 20% so its unlikely to Shib to overcome the Great Doge backed by Elon Musk. Still many are ignorant with the meme coins they support but we cant blame them though.

this is a painful thing for shiba, when Elon musk maneuvers with his tweet, even though shiba is still doing well because of his collaboration with binance.  sometimes rich people like to do arbitrarily.
Yeah, the drop was not permanent. It only took a day to recover its price and probably that was just a fake dump caused by hardcore fan of Musk who hold Shiba too. Nonetheless, binance nowadays support shitcoins so the audience for Shiba would be so damn good. Even coinbase's most traded coin is shiba. Shiba Army is doing it.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized Minting vs Staking vs Trading vs Hodling on: October 25, 2021, 03:56:07 PM
As for me, its 80% staking and 20% book profits. I don't do LP as its impermanent loss is eating my coins up specially during pumps. I'd rather play it safe rather than gambling it. In scalping in the other hand, its quite hard for me as to I dont have the time to monitor market day by day so yeah I do staking a lot specially with Sovryn where when you stake, lots of passive income gives to you aside from earning SOV, they give you BTC from protocol fees as well. Almost 35% APR but still IL is not a problem with it.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How reasonable is the long-term investment in Altcoins? on: October 25, 2021, 03:50:43 PM
For me 2 years minimum and 4 years max. I think by that time, the project is fully developed and massive advertisements are also conducted too. I think, by this time frame the price is reasonably the perfect price for it and thus taking some profits as well. Another thing is that Major Developments are done deploying thus in the following years, hypes are less than these ones. Major partnerships might happen after this timeframe but still the main utility are out already.

110  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think crypto will be the future for payments in space ? on: October 25, 2021, 03:35:28 PM
Do you think crypto will be the future for payments in space ?

How will they pay people long distance ... from planet A to planet B ?
Yeah it could be. Aside from the securities it offers, crypto payments are much reliable and faster than other mode of payments. In terms of inter-planetary payments, I think its easy. Internet is probably available in Mars if humanity migrated there. It would be easy to set it up as well as technology is developing faster than any before.
far-fetched thinking. I think also the main thing that must be there is the human population on the planet mars and the internet network that can connect the two planets. We don't know what it will be like in the future, but it could happen that between the two planets there will be interdependence of businesses, thus triggering transactions

He was talking about planets so I was just thinking about the possibilities that could emerge in the future. If NASA or any 3rd party businesses could transport humans to Mars and populate that planet, I think its not impossible to have an internet there as well as to satellite would be available there too. I don't think its far-fetched kind of thinking as its proven that technology is fast approaching. Payments in the other hand would be easier if internet could be established.

112  Economy / Economics / Re: Will we see new ATH this year? on: October 24, 2021, 11:08:51 AM
The rapid growth of DeFi is helping to leverage the price. Another thing is that United States SEC department that registered ETF that contains crypto. It is undeniably that price would hike up unless major Fud spread again just like Musk did last May. A 100K might be achievable within this year and could even rise up more next year.
113  Economy / Economics / Re: Are banks needed for crypto? on: October 24, 2021, 11:04:13 AM
In terms of features that DeFi projects and Banks has, the twi has similarity. However, the collaterals are different. When you borrow in banks, you need physical assets like cars, houses or even property lots. In crypto, you also needs collaterals which is crypto assets that you have. My point is that, banks are institutions that has centralised system. It has vulnerabilities and strengths that rely on old monetary system. DeFi in the other hand is the future of banking. No more intermediaries. Only smart contract. So in short, crypto does not need banks. Banks needs crypto.
114  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the role of fiat currency disappear against crypto. on: October 24, 2021, 04:30:14 AM
Currently, there are many usd-based stablecoins such as, usdt, busd, usdc and maybe many others.  To be honest, I used to think that crypto would completely eliminate the usd's dominance of the world economy but I was wrong, it turns out that usd is now evolving to crypto (stablecoins).  What do you think, whether in the future bitcoin or other crypto can replace the role of currency in each country and leave fiat currencies such as usd, euro, yuan and others.
I dont think it works like that. Every country has its own independence and rights to have their own currency. However, cryptography might help in solving economic problem of one country.
In terms of replacing ones fiat currency, it needs a one whole government where every country will follow. One world currency using bitcoin is kind of impossible at the moment and the near future,
many banned it and some countries oppose the use and trading of cryptocurrency. Governments nowadays sees BTC as an investment but not like El Salvador's approach of legalizing it as a mode of
Payment.
115  Economy / Economics / Re: El Salvador Bitcoin payment option on: October 21, 2021, 03:33:06 PM
I don't know if someone has post of updates about bank in El Salvador but Sovryn - the DeFi for Bitcoin is already building a decentralized bank for all El Salvadorian now. They partnered with Banco Hipotecario, TESOBE (company behind Open Bank Project - API3) and QREDO to bring this forth. This could potentially be a step forward for bitcoin itself. You can now Lend, Borrow, and in the future apply for your save for your retirement plans for BTC in the near future.
116  Economy / Economics / Re: Simple reason why crypto is preferred over fiats on: October 21, 2021, 03:25:41 PM
There are lots of grey areas in your points taken in this post. When we talked about cryptocurrency, there are lots of projects come out of that.
That's because no single person or group of persons is or are in control of Cryptos, it's called Blockchain technology
This is inaccurate. Lots of cryptocurrency has a centralised infrastructure that carried out the projects. One of the best example is BNB itself. It is managed and controlled by Cz the founder of Binance. However, if we just talked about BTC over Fiat, there's no doubt that BTC is much feature rich that old school foat. BTC has no needs of intermediary. Not centralised meaning no one has control over it. Has limited supply up to 21M only and it will never change. Unlike fiat that Governments can print it all they want.
117  Economy / Economics / Re: Why exchanges are charging a big amount as transaction fee on withdrawal on: October 13, 2021, 03:53:04 PM
It is really annoying to pay big amounts as transaction fee. Today myself encountered a pathetic situation. I was in need of money, and my wallet had $400 worth of TRX. I wasn't able to change it directly to fiat, and for this reason I deposited the entire TRX in an exchange and traded against bitcoin. Now on withdrawing it exchange took a transaction fee of 0.0009 btc and what is left is around $350 worth bitcoin.

If this is the scenario surely then we can't make a plan with what is available in the wallet.

Please post the exchanges with the low transaction fee and good trading volume. Maybe next time it'll help me.
Luckily some of the institutions here that can convert crypto to fiat has XRP in their trading options. Super fast transaction with this guy XRP and low fees of less than a $ worth of withdrawal as well as trading fees. The problem is the conversion where 4-5% less than the market itself but still low compare to what other financial institutions are offering.
118  Economy / Economics / Re: What will be the effects of China's central bank declaring all crypto illegal? on: October 13, 2021, 03:43:57 PM
The CCP has planted the seeds of the rebellion that will throw them out of power and they don't even know it.
This is quite true. People of China know the importance of cryptocurrency and how it could possibly change the monetary system. They are one big community and Cryptocurrency is quite popular there. Its just that the CCP wanted to control everything which they cant do with crypto. In my opinion, people in china are smart enough to not know the alternatives which is the decentralised exchanges. P2p transaction at black market would also be a great option.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is easier? on: October 01, 2021, 04:12:27 PM
To those who are trading consistently, I would like to ask you based on your experience.

Which is easier in making a profit, riding with the hype, or waiting until the price will dip?

Most people say that don't buy when the market is bullish, just wait until there's a price correction and the price will dip.
So with your experience, I like to know which is more effective between the two.
As for me, riding the hype have the most risk of them two. Its better to buy the dip compare to riding the hype due to corrections that might happen. Aside from that, big opportunity comes to those who bought the lows rather than those who bought at the hype. Projects that have real life utility are the best ones to be bought in terms of red market. They eventually and proven to rise even without the hype unlike those meme coins out there. Projects like DeFi also has a place and those projects like GOMT who's trying to change how consumers of meat experiences.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Staking Coins a Good Idea? on: October 01, 2021, 04:05:22 PM
Yeah why not. It gives you the benefits of holding for price hikes and rewards you by it. The APY however isn't that high compared to providing liquidity but still you have the edge of not having a permanent loss. Aside from that, projects like SOVRYN even gives you the opportunity to earn airdrops by your staking with almost 2% supply worth of every project that is launching to their platform added by your staking APY which is 30% liquid SOV. Other projects like GOMT also gives you the opportunity to steak your hydra when you bought GOMT using hydra. Your hydra payment will also be staked and by the end of the year, you will be rewarded by GOMT. How cool is that.
