Community is the key here. I think some people's attitudes sell a coin short.
There are a lot of fail coins out there and a lot of false promises.
I will not make false promises or scam anybody. I didn't want control of Dreamcoin this was not a take over on my behalf.
This was a matter of picking up after the original dev threw a tantrum and stormed off virtually locking out and abandoning the community on what could have been a sinking ship. I understand your skepticism, but i feel you sell crypto short and cannot see beyond the exchanges and closed world view. We are a new industry with room to grow.
Dream is friendly and approachable with much promise for greater acceptance in a broader market than most. I have plans and future goals some of which will take time. The biggest hurdle in my eyes is a Proof of Stake coin android wallet after such is developed (I know others are working on this) I have a large variety of marketing strategies.
Yes we're not the flavor of the week and there are several obstacles to navigate. However with the attitude of pump to dump on to the next coin the eco system will not improve.
It probably would have been easier to start my own coin without any of the stigmas attached but that as well does not help anyone.

Dreamers. I have to agree with Johnny, our Dev. MyFarm's project is a great idea and he has good intentions. However, to solely base DRM as a farm and garden coin would eventually kill it. Everyone has different dreams but all dreams require money to fulfill. Dreamcoin should be a coin that can help anyone accomplish their dreams regardless of what it is.
I think the Dev's idea of a Dream Vacation is a great promo and would attract many new Dreamers. Maybe instead of setting a destination. The winner could receive a gift certificate through expedia.com or orbitz.com I am pretty sure those websites are accessible worldwide and have all major international airlines.
Acebenson mention his concern of the raffle could be fixed. My suggestion to this is to only allow 500 or less tickets to be sold. Raffle does not happen until all tickets are sold. Give it like a 90 day expiration and if all tickets are not sold by then. Refunds will be issued. Then for the actual raffle. The drawing will be live via youtube live streaming and each of the 500 tickets will be shown on camera and put in a basket or whatever. Then a winner will be drawn live on youtube. How does that sound dev and dreamers?
I was having a similar idea we do a community fundraiser put the funds in a transparent account. all donors submit transaction details and their address with amount we keep a record of what was donated by what address until the trip voucher is funded / expedia orbits gift. I say we set a goal of somewhere in the territory of $2000 USD If the goal isn't met for fundraising we refund all donors. After funds have been raised we sell raffle tickets until community funds are recovered to be applied to the next promotion... this is a rough outline of the idea EDIT: We also treat raffle funds in the same way as the other community funds if goal isn't met refunds are distributed so respectively there would be $4000 USD in holding until raffle has been won... |

It was not my goal to exclude anybody. However it is not my dream or ambition to run lawn and garden coin. The Dream vacation is just a promotion not a focal point.
I had absolutely no problem with the community working towards Myfarms project as one of the causes. He wanted it to be the focus. I do not believe that to be everybody's dream. I wouldn't have felt comfortable leading that mission so i offered him to lead that mission with community consent. I grew up in Arizona where zeroscape is king. I have little personal interest in gardening. I have little in that field to bring to the table and no desire to make that a large priority in my life.
I hope this is understandable.
Dreamcoin should cover multiple dreams not just one.

I do not wish to battle for control of the future of the coin. I feel some of this puts undue pressure on me. Unless the community want Myfarm to take the lead seat and he is willing to invest the time necessary to align the coin strictly to this purpose.

outlining the dev structure and timeline also insinuates the statement above
I have no issue making this a supported cause but not the foundational principal. I do not feel comfortable taking on these responsibilities
of an ongoing charity for said purpose.

DRM may have a future, yet it depends on the ongoing development. You try to takeover DRM, do you have a specific plan over it? If so, can you share it to the community? As you mentioned earlier, anon is not a priority, then what to work on first? Myfarm is trying to help DRM out, and help the community out. If you don't have a clear plan, you may follow his idea. however, i think you are too sensitive about who is the leader, you are not a teamworker. I didn't take over Dreamcoin. I rescued Dreamcoin. The plan is to stabalize and form a team and community. I said anon features are background articles a watch and learn from others at the moment as i have a feeling unforeseen issues will arrise or the tech being used may be all smoke and mirrors Merchants marketing canvasing crypto education coinkite coinpayments brick and mortar retail are targets Fundraising for causes that the community wishes to fund. I realize now I have made a mistake and I sincerely apologize for that. It was stupid of me to try to implement my vision into an existing coin. I should have started a coin from scratch. For that, I sincerely apologize to each of you. I have a tremendous amount of respect for what you guys have been working towards and I'm sorry to temporarily get in the way of that. I shall step aside with my idea of the lawn stuff and support you guys in the direction you choose to go. Yeah they're on my watch list I'm curious about how they went about it and further reviews. I think our race to be the first one ended with Carsen's tantrum. Besides I think it is a smarter move to watch and learn from others They are trail blazing it is true and today they are reaping rewards. However i do believe they will also be the first to feel any blow back that may occur from any errors or attacks. Not saying there will be, I like to side on the air of caution though. I too wish Carsen wouldn't have sold DRM with false promise of anon. I can't say I'm capable of that level of programing, so I won't make it a primary promise I will however watch progress and work on expanding our network with other dev teams. Having friends is a good thing. Not everything has to be a competition sometimes it's better to have collaboration instead... |

I will address the anon features again.
as previously stated that is a future plan. Not an immediate plan.
I am watching the development of these features on other coins. Some think first mover is the one that wins. I think first movers have first issues and wish to avoid any unforeseen problems that may arise as it is uncharted territory.
Please have patience with these types of developments. I do not make false promises and feel our better focus at this time is community growth and market share.
Myfarm and others have put forward awesome ideas. Public awareness of crypto and Dreamcoin specifically should be our spotlight of concern.
We have made good progress in pulling Dreamcoin back. We are not dead in the water or dying.
Thank you to all who have been part of this rescue, without you this coin would surely have sank.
It is an honor to be lead of such a community and look forward to what we can do.
