101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Santacoin (STC) Cryptocurrency ICO Live Now !! on: December 17, 2017, 08:42:07 PM
There is no source code in your GitHub repo, santacoin devs.
Where did you find Santacoin GitHub? There is no link in the announcement nor on the website. Beside that, they are not updating website, it says "Mobile app, get it now", but the link is not working, mobile wallet does not exist of course. Santacoin is scam.
102  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk Account price estimator on: December 17, 2017, 08:36:39 PM
@achow101 The website has been down for a few days now. What is the reason, are you planning to make it work again any time soon?
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PPC] PPCoin Released! - First Long-Term Energy-Efficient Crypto-Currency on: December 14, 2017, 03:23:31 AM
I see PPC prices 2018   +++++++ $50...$100
This is optimistic but I agree, it is possible. Just look at the growth today. If Bitcoin doubles in 2018 to 30k USD, this means PPC is 10 USD so it just needs to grow 5 times in BTC price to reach that goal, $50.
If Peer Tokens get released in 2018, anything is possible for PeerCoin.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Santacoin (STC) Cryptocurrency ICO Live Now !! on: December 13, 2017, 05:52:41 PM
This coin attracted my attention because of high trade volume on CoinsMarkets.com. But after few minutes of research I am 100% sure that it's just another shitcoin that was created by Devs to get some money from ICO and run away with it. I don't have reasonable explanation why is there 36 BTC volume in last 24 hours. Why are people willing to buy this coin is beyond me. Maybe there are some wales trying to do pump&dump.
I strongly advise you to NOT buy this, because Devs are not responsive, website doesn't look professional, there is no mining pools, no wallet, links for mobile wallets don't work, no information when is mobile wallet release, no information about Dev...
If you bought this during ICO, sell it ASAP.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] SIRIN LABS ICO - Secure Blockchain Consumer Electronics on: December 13, 2017, 12:25:30 AM
guys go look at the ICO pumping at etherscan:

that is the contract's address:
https://etherscan.io/address/0x29AfA3443f752eb29d814d9042Fd88A4a2dc0F1e

there are some huge transactions made to "pump" the sale.
coming from example from this address:
https://etherscan.io/address/0x59b681402bcb2c8460a506a88d75be1cf1326528

this is one corrupted ICO
That's why I love bitcointalk! I almost fell for this one but thanks to you, I changed my mind and will not invest now unless they give proper explanation. Sorry but I doubt one person invested 4564 ETH (3 million USD) alone (this transaction: https://etherscan.io/tx/0x9ab5a7113b099fdcfd1e6301673f9bc06a2838a2fe93ba9418bb2de34cde8178)
I was really surprised when I saw a post on Facebook, that Sirin Labs ICO raised 64 million USD in first 10 hours. I was exited and wanted to invest myself because I thought that this must be a really popular ICO with many contributors and big community. But now it looks fishy so I won't invest.
106  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2017-12-12 - History Suggests Rough Seas Ahead (Similar to Amazon's) on: December 12, 2017, 11:32:11 PM
I expected more from Crain's New York Business but the reporter apparently didn't do his homework. His knowledge on cryptocurrencies is lacking.
By the way, even  though the comparison with Amazon is BS, you have to know that Amazon stock price started rising slowly after crash in year 2000. And  today it is one of the biggest companies in the world after Apple and Microsoft and Amazon stock price is high than before the 2000 crash. You don't have to be a genius to predict that there will be some crashes along the road but the question is if it will get up after each crash. And I think it Bitcoin will, just like Amazon did.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MONA] Monacoin LAUNCHING 2014/01/01 0:00 GMT on: December 12, 2017, 06:18:20 PM
Let's keep a cordial tone on this thread.

We all reckon that MONA is becoming increasingly visible in Japan and that should soon be reflected in its value.
As to when and how much, nobody knows and everybody is free to post its own view.

I also believe that MONA has the potential of becoming the Litecoin of Japan. Its tech is as solid as LTC. Its network is less developed but it could grow very fast in Japan. That's why my target is 50$ by mid-2018 and a long term target of 100$

i dont think it will reach 100$ , monacoin, i think , maybe im wrong, is supposed to be easily spendable. Do you want to buy a coin that cost 100$ ? but this is crypto , everything can happen
If it reaches $100, why would that make it not easily spendable? I bought bitcoin at 2000 USD and I bought some at 11 000 USD, because I believe in it and I believe that more people will come later and buy so the price will go higher and higher. So it doesn't make sense to say that people will stop buying if the price will be 100 USD.
Just look at Litecoin. I remember not too long ago when the price was 60 USD, ok that is under 100 but now it is 300 USD and people keep buying.
108  Economy / Gambling / Re: BTCBET.CC – Bitcoin price BETTING every 5 minute on: December 07, 2017, 12:38:07 AM
I prefer this kind of gambling where you chances don't fully depend on luck but you also need to be experienced and you have higher chances of winning if you know how to analyze graphs and draw different trend lines.
What are the fees for withdrawals?
109  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptocurrency Forum With Over 950+ Different CryptoCurrencies on: December 07, 2017, 12:32:05 AM
What are your advantages over Bitcointalk? Are there some signature campaigns or other bounties at Crypto Capital?
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Highcoin POW + POS Scrypt 12000% - 6000% POS reward on: December 06, 2017, 11:29:04 PM
How i can get this coin??
You have to mine it using graphics card or ASIC miner. There is no airdrop or anything like that because this is not a token and there is only small premine. Algorithm of Highcoin is Scrypt so GPU is quite ineffective so if you don't have ASIC, it's probably not worth it.
You will be able to buy it later when it comes to exchanges.
111  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-12-06] RUMOUR: NiceHash hacked, 56 million USD stolen from users on: December 06, 2017, 05:27:20 PM
There have been many tweets and posts on Facebook in the last 5 hours, saying that NiceHash has probably been hacked.
People say that hackers stolen 56 million USD worth of bitcoins. Many user's addresses have been emptied few hours ago.
NiceHash website is down and the only update from the company is this (9 hours ago)

That farming analogy doesn't make sense to me. I don't think the concept of "futures market" will ever become popular in cryptocurrency industry.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 2 altcoins to invest in NOW. on: December 05, 2017, 08:55:20 PM
Depends how much risk you are prepared to take. If you want to play safe, Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin are your friends. But don't expect to get rich in a few weeks.
If you feel lucky and don't want to miss opportunity with growing coins, you can try DeepOnion (has been growing consistently for the last 3 weeks) and YOYOW (new Chinese blog that pays for good content, similar to Steem).
114  Economy / Exchanges / Re: AEX.com exchange - Discussion thread on: November 30, 2017, 11:25:27 AM
Apparently they fixed the problem with XZC deposits and withdrawals. They twitted this:

However when I click Deposit XZC to generate XZC address, it says loading... and no address appears.

And some other coins for example Ripple, Ardor, EarthCoin, Nextcoin are still "Temporarily closed" for deposits and withdrawals.
No explanation on their website or twitter.

I SUGGEST YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS EXCHANGE. Maybe they will improve in the future but for now they are not reliable.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know which bounty campaigns should i join ?? on: November 29, 2017, 01:47:43 PM
I'm getting fantastic returns from my signature campaign, DeepOnion, but you need to think about some factors before you join. The earlier you join, more you will profit. It's not too late but soon it will be too late.
To join the airdrop, you need to have at least 100 ONIONs in you wallet. This means that you need to make small investment before you start (around 150 USD at the moment), or you can join DeepOnion forum and earn points there by making useful posts or completing tasks. This way you can earn 100 ONIONs in a week or even more.

DeepOnion Airdrop requires that you wear DeepOnion signature and it pays you about 7% of ONIONs that you hold in your wallet. So if you hold 1000 ONION you will get about 70 ONION per week, which is worth more than 100 USD.
I have more than 1000 ONION, so this airdrop or signature campaign, whatever you call it, pays me more than any other bounty campaign here on Bitcointalk.
As I said, you have to think about how much time you can dedicate to participate in DeepOnion forum, if you have enough time, you can reach 1000 ONIONS in a few weeks and than you will get more and more ONIONs each week, because you get percentage, not fixed number. Other option is to buy ONION and get 70 or more ONION per week right from the beginning.
To learn more, visit the website or ANN thread.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoRuble - Any thoughts? on: November 29, 2017, 11:01:01 AM
Any news on CryptoRuble? There were many in October, but nothing recently.
That's why it's even more strange that there is cryptocurrency CryptoRuble (CRUR) trading on Cryptopia. I think this is not The CryptoRuble Russian government and Putin were taking about.
The price of CRUR fell massively, from few thousand Satoshi two weeks ago to 50 Sats one week ago. And today it's trading for 3 Sats! How is this possible??

I think this is fake CryptoRuble, someone just took the name and created fake token. Look at the facts on Cryptopia: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/?coin=CRUR&view=rating
- no mining, all premined
- algorithm: POS
- total coins: 5 000 950 000
- no website
- no block explorer
- fake Github page: https://github.com/Cryptoruble
- fake lunch forum page which is actually a faucet thread: https://bitcoingarden.org/forum/index.php?topic=21735.0
- only 1 node which is located in Kentucky, USA (?? isn't this supposed to be Russian crypto)
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] ⚡ DeepOnion TOR ⚡ DeepVault ⚡ Cryptopia 🚀 Airdrop 20 of 40 🚀 New Rules on: November 26, 2017, 01:08:54 PM
we banned about 100 DP abuser members
we have about 1300 members this round with high dp balance,
It's growing week by week which is cool. But I have one suggestion for the DeepDomination tasks.
If we take in account that there will be more and more users and more and more tasks wouldn't be better to lock the domination tasks after some time, like 1-2 weeks?
Because in this case there will be in some time like 100 domination tasks and it would be a mess if somebody registered and completed them all.
It will be unmaintainable because of number of posts so I think locking these threads after 1-2 weeks would be good.
I agree. Some domination tasks get old with time and it doesn't make sense that people complete them after two weeks because it will not have the same effect anymore. For example Facebook poll, after one or two weeks that poll will be old and no-one will see it because there are newer posts.
I suggest that you sort domination tasks by date of starting. Because at the moment, threads are sorted by time of last comment and this means that old domination tasks get on top of the list when someone comments on them and I don't like that.
118  Economy / Exchanges / Re: AEX.com exchange - Discussion thread on: November 25, 2017, 06:49:37 PM
Updates about my situation:
To my question "Why is XZC (ZCoin) withdrawal "Temporarily Closed"? When are you going to enable it again?"
They answered "Hello, our side is still ready, the specific time is not clear, but also you wait patiently, I wish you a happy life!"

After that, I decided to sell my XZC and I was lucky that I could sell them at the same price as I bought them. Then I withdraw Bitcoins. I was worried because it was taking long time so I opened another ticket: "I am waiting this withdrawal for about 11 hours and I still didn't receive transaction to my BTC address ****"
And they answered "Hello, the coin BTC is issued within 24 hours of audit, to see your money has been queued in the queue, and has been sent back to the technical staff for your verification follow-up, please wait patiently, hoping to help you!"

Soon after that I received the transaction.

What I learned from this is that you have to always check if deposits and withdrawals are not closed for some reason, before you buy a specific altcoin, specially if you intend to withdraw it right after you buy it at exchange.
119  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything is on an uptrend on: November 25, 2017, 04:59:15 PM
You are right, if you look at top100 list on coinmarketcap.com you will see that 90% of coins and tokens have positive growth in the last 24 hours and this happens rarely. Normally I don't agree with that bubble theory and I think cryptocurrencies still have a lot of unused potential. I am pretty sure bitcoin will be worth more than 15k USD by the end of 2018.
But that growth in last two or three weeks is unsustainable. We could even call it a bubble, but I don't like this term. I think there will be a correction soon and the whole market will shrink for about 20%. Nothing catastrophic tho.
Just look at that graph:

There was correction at the end of June and then the prices went up again. August was month of too fast growth so there was another fall at the beginning of September. But since than, the total market cap is just growing for more than two months and this growth is too fast. So I predict that price of Bitcoin and the whole crypto market cap will fall by about 20% soon, probably before mid-December. But than it will recover above current level quite soon.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NEU] 🚀🚀 Neufund. Community-owned fundraising platform. 🚀🚀 on: November 24, 2017, 10:20:06 PM
Can you please explain this to me. So at the moment investor-A gets around 921 NEU tokens for 1 ETH. Investor-B discovers Neufund near the end of ICO and gets only 200 NEU for the same contribution, 1 ETH.
They both decide to get their investment back after 18 months because they need ETH to buy something. How are you going to return 1 ETH when they have different amounts of NEU tokens?
Do you store this information, what amount of Ethers each investor contributed so you will return that amount no matter how much NEU investor has? Or you will exchange NEU for ETH at fixed rate so early investors will get more ETH back?
