Just curious... How would you even know this? I smell account farming lol... It is mentioned in the ANN thread. People who spend most of their time in meta, face this kind of threads thousand of times. How come you don't know about this? Smell account trading, lol.

I also thought that it can be reward for making lot of good reports. But if yes, it's strange that this thing are kept in secret without information in public. Probably only theymos can answer question about this mistery, we have to wait response from him. I don't think so. It is in no way can be a reward, imo. Either it's a bug in the system or they are controlled by admin panel. I think I have somewhere read about the case alanst previously. Can't be sure where it is. It's still a mystery. Expecting @LoyceV to come here and find us the truth behind this.

The hacker also sent 18 merits to mr felt, an hero member with green trust. I will send a PM to him too...
Who sent 18 merits? I can't find any smerit data related the above 2 accounts. I have checked their bpip profile and it shows they didn't send any merits to anyone. Am I missing anything?

I guess main reason might be Pharmacist post which caused theymos to increase the quota of active merit sources and addition of few more merit sources. Yeah and other than this, a lot of sMerits were spent after the ANN of DefaultTrust changes because the activity was increased hugely. As a result, other people also shared sMerits.

I sent a PM to aleks09 asking to take a look at this discussion and to tell us what happened, even if he is not the hacker he must have some useful info about how he buyed merit.
Otherwise, he is the hacker
Good initiative. I think this thread should be moved to reputation section. Anyway, aleks09 has definitely has connection with the hacker. It can barely happen that the hacker intentionally give merit to an unknown user. It can only be happened if he had any previous issue, lol.

zTheWolfz is a inactive account from July 28, 2018. zTheWolfs is very likely to have been banned as there is no record of the profile in BPIPHere is the account in bpip- https://bpip.org/profile.aspx?p=zTheWolfzbpip keeps the record of banned users too. For some reasons, you may not find users with username, in that case, use userid.

It's not certain that merit receivers are the hacker. They may have bought merits too. Theymos may reversed the transaction since he has done it once previously.

Have you been added to DT2 by anyone? Other than this, there is no reason to exclude you. Anyway, it's my personal view whom I should include and whom I should exclude? I am not obliged to explain you why I have excluded you. LoyceV personally thinks that he should explain why he has excluded some people. It's also his personal view. By the way, if TMAN/LAUDA/marlboroza included you in their trust list, you would never create a thread asking why have you included me, would you? So, why this thread man?

I think it's because of the new fee changes in copper member which enables newbie to add avatar. My assumption only.

What is the use of this statistics? Sorry if I have missed something.

Required merit is too too much. I have been a "hero member" for a long time now but because of the 500+ merit requirement I can't seem to get anywhere near that level. Its almost impossible to reach to 500+ merit. I think it should be lowered by a lot.
Man, It's easier. You know I have got 259 merits within 4 months and I would get more if I were not red tagged. It's easier, just stay active and be helpful. I will work for everyone.

we can argue about this forever, but trust system should be based on TRADE related stuff only (a person who is a scammer, likely scammer or trustworthy).
True but you know bitcointalk forum is bigger than we think and it's not possible to check whether the feedback is for a trade or not. A lot of resources will be needed just to maintain if there are any rules for leaving feedback. It will be like recovering accounts, in fact, it will be more worst than it. That's why I think the current system is okay. No fixed rule but some limitation like one is what JC has mentioned here.

IIRC, theymos has asked people not to leave negative trust feedback for shitposting. I think people should tag only with valid reason.

Coinbase doesn't support USDT option. Therefore, you can't. AFAIK, coinbase allow USDC. You either have to convert those into BTC or USDC or any other supported coin.

Oh definitely! As far as I know, women are a huge minority in the blockchain space, and probably even in the technology industry as a whole. There was a sort of article I've read in the past that has statistics that has the same conclusions.
Not able to get the article. Can't remember the author. Here is the statistics where it shows the ratio is 4.7:1, I guess those are from the profile who have set their gender in profile. And the data is limited to December 2017. Link to statistics- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=stats;expand=201005

Someone has earlied suggested this kind of rank but theymos didn't show any interest, IIRC. Also, oneline replies are not a problem if you are on topic, logical. I also do think that a rank should be introduced.

Do you know what theymos said about Lauda? If not, I request you to read the DefaultTrust threads. What makes suchmoon on DT1 is- He leaves valid feedback which is helpful to the forum members. If you do it, you also can be a DT1 member. And if you have problem with his feedback, put a tilde(~) before his name on your trust list. Problem solved. That's how you can change the so called "DT ABUSE".
Incorrect you can not change the DT abuse unless you have the support of 2 or more with 250 earned merits those are they key positions in the DT system. Those people are main abusers of the merit system and now the DT system. The new DT system could have been okay but they broke it worse by adding that earned merit threshold. You will also get support if you leave valid feedback. Coolcryptovator is not here from a long time. But he is in DT1 member if I am correct, what makes him DT1? Isn't because he leaves valid feedback towards other people? Despite having negative trust from him, I still set him as DT0 in my trust list because I know he leaves valid feedback. If you also provide valid feedback, you will also be included by others and that's how suchmoon was also included. Why are you messing it up with your imagined "Circle"? Well, everyone is free to think.
