101  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on[Havelock] on: March 21, 2014, 07:43:14 AM
and it speaks.......

why is our hardware not hashing?

are you communicating with coin terra?

what are coin terra saying?

what are they going to do?

will they send you an engeneer to hold your hand while you set up?

edit: I was jsut away to ask if i won 5% of cog can i just have 5% of out hardware.

If this motion passes, yes, you will receive the proceeds from selling whatever amount of hardware you own.

I have just sent an email to all shareholders titled "Cognitive Status and Motion Enclosed"

Please read and respond. The forum is too bloated to communicate effectively.

I don't really care what happen to Garrett. The CT hardware do exist and is somewhere.
We must get it off Garrett before it's too late.
It is the hardware that matter. Where is it ??

The majority of it is in CoinTerra's hands.
104  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on[Havelock] on: March 12, 2014, 08:14:41 AM
Datacenter delays are causing these problems. Typically, real estate of this large-scale nature is prepared months if not a year in advance and we are doing this in weeks. Everything will be operational within the coming week, but until then we have to do our best with our current resources. I will post the miners on ebay for 10 days and cancel if the 7 day motion does not pass.

If the motion to sell the units does not pass, we will be in a top-class tier-3 datacenter piggybacking on a larger operation, getting the cheapest power in the nation.

Best,
Garrett

A quick update:

Some of the CoinTerra boxes are underperforming by quite a bit, which just means that we'll get more boxes! I do believe we will indeed be the best served CoinTerra customer, because we purchased a number of hashes per second and not total boxes.

Cheers,
Garrett
106  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on[Havelock] on: March 09, 2014, 12:21:34 AM
We're online at our full received capacity of 10th/s!

Dividends will be sent on Mondays instead of Saturdays as of March 2014.

Cheers,
Garrett

Is there a reason for this?

As Cognitive becomes more like a real-world, brick-and-mortar, established company, office hours will be put into place, and those office hours will likely not include Saturdays Tongue

Theterabyte: Great, much appreciated. I will implement this tomorrow.

Cheers

We're up and above 9th/s now from 8 terraminers. The warehouse we are currently in is maxed out power wise (which is why we took the scrypt miners offline to make room for another terraminer, which is much more profitable) and we are finalizing the process of moving into a proper tier-3 datacenter, albeit delayed. It is my promise that we will be hashing above 30th/s this month, so long as CoinTerra follows through on our deal (28th/s + 1% per day delivered past Jan 31).

Best,
Garrett

I sent theterabyte a PM right after seeing this post.

We are sorting out the final datacenter details and will be moving in ASAP. The remainder of our hardware will be arriving this week or next!

According to the spreadsheet there is 10THs or so is there a problem with some of the equipment?

Yes, some of the units have faulty firmware, and have been shutting off when power cycles. Garrett is currently in negotiations with CoinTerra regarding this problem, so hopefully they will compensate Cognitive for this loss in hash power.

This is one thing Garr has done right in his dealings with CT so far.  Please keep holding them responsible as far as our contract can (and ensure future contracts more clearly protect us against late/defective units).  If cointerra isn't planning on dumping a pile of shovels on us then disapearing - if they want to be in the long-term shovel selling business - then they actually care about their reputation and want us to be happy.  Let's hope anyways...

You are absolutely correct here. I have spoken with Ravi many times and it is very clear to me he is in this for the long-haul, and is all about creating and maintaining good relationships.

How about deploying remotely managed power distribution units?  If it is a problem where the hardware hangs but works after a reboot, maybe being able to remotely powercycle the unut would be helpful.
Great idea!

The only problem here is they can be quite pricey. It will be more practical to remotely soft-reboot, then if that doesn't work remotely upload firmware again.

Please explain the low div...

The COG.F and COG.F2 contracts were converted to COG shares, and the bulk of the CT hardware has not shipped yet. When the hardware comes online we will see a large increase in our dividends.

Also, Sam and I are currently working on an inventory spreadsheet which will be released tonight.

Best,
Garrett

Received two BFL SC Singles today
Both are up and hashing!!
Garr255 is a great guy to deal with.  Very happy with my purchase.

Got mine too today. Thanks a bunch!

No problem!

I am back in town; SALES ARE RESUMED!
115  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on[Havelock] on: February 27, 2014, 01:36:02 AM
Tafelpoot, some of your requests were fulfilled before writing that post: http://cognitivemining.com/charts went live last night Smiley

(note: some funds in the 1cogx address are owed to me still, therefore will not be included in any dividends. I will make a payment out of the address to my personal one correcting the misrepresentation issue within an hour.)

PM me with the price you have sold the singles for.. Might be interested..

I'm asking BTC1 for SC Singles and BTC0.1 for FPGA singles

Sales are on hold while I'm out of town. Will update when I return.

Sorry but i don't need anymore the fpga, becouse will be delivered too late (late next week)

No problem, sorry about my absence.

I will likely return and be able to resume shipping items on Monday.

Additionally,

Thursday of this week I will be in Washington to finalize setup at the new facility. Then, the remainder of the CoinTerra rigs will be delivered and we will be hashing at our full promised capacity of 28th/s + whatever lateness compensation comes out to be.

Cheers,
Garrett
