I am not confused about Monero and Zcash. Both have opaque blockchains.
No you don't get it. The monero Blockchain can be verified by the pubkey, which only you should have anyway the transactions in the block don't matter from decentralization point of view, the crypto is solid and the format is probably not malleable. So it works perfectly. While Zcash is totally dark, which means that it totally relies on the trusted initialization phase. And Dash is totally open with "optional" privacy whic is also very weak. Monero is both trustless and private, it's the golden mean between decentralization and privacy. The Monero blockchain can NOT be verified with a pubkey. A Monero Transaction Can be verified, That is a BIG difference. |

You set a block for the new code to run on and any node that is not supporting that version gets ignored by the updated code, all you have to do is get a consensus to upgrade (make the new code the majority fork{if there is one}). As Monero has done this upgrade on a regular schedule all nodes know they must update or be left behind. There is always a possibility of a fork that survives just like ETC or BCC but that is exceptionally small in monero at this time.
So lemme get this straight. They create the new code, put it in a new software, then leave like 1 month for every node to download and verify it. Then at a pre-coded time the hardfork activates if a majority of nodes signal it by then. So for example if a new hardfork were to come out by Dec, they would release the code in like 1 month, people would have plenty of time to verify that and then signal it if they wish it. Is that how it goes in Monero? I mean you can't really download and verify the software in 2 min, so I guess that phase was the previous few weeks was it? Hardfork = no signal Softfork = signal |

How many confirms do you have. Hover over the transaction in your core wallet. If it's zero, is your wallet synced up? If you see confirms the problem is on the Bittrex side. |

The blocks take 8 days to mature. Your 19K block took 5 days to stake. The other 51 blocks have just as much of a chance of staking as that one did. Also they are now mature so you don't have to wait for that. and for the next 30 days their weight will increase so that will make them even more likely to stake. You should be staking 1-3 times a day, would be my guess. You just have to be patient and let it even out.
I'm not sure what "Will I have another 17 days to get 51k HYP?" means. Are you trying to stake all blocks in 17 days? Maybe, but most likely no.
I understand, but the minimum is not 8 days and the maximum is 30 days for the stakes to happen? Or is it possible to arrive on the 30th day and not be able to stake? Anyway I'm not in a hurry, I decided to get a big stake in HYP, something told me that this coin may surprise us.  Minimum age is 8.8 days. Before 8.8 days your weight is zero and thus you can't stake. after 8.8 days you get an initial weight. And then each day after you get more up until 30 days. At that point you do not get additional weight, but the coins are still eligible to stake (they were just unlucky). There is no guarantee your coins will ever stake. My oldest output is 708 days old. It's only 1789 HYP. And it may stake tomorrow, or not. With 52 blocks You may get 52 stakes in 30 days. I would guess is you looked several of the blocks staked twice, and maybe 3 times, while some didn't stake at all. I would be interested to see how you made out after 30 days. I have to many outputs of different sizes, so most of what I see is just gut feel... |

I have a reward dated 31th of the 8th on my wallet, that says generated but not accepted, 0 out of 6 confirmations, and the coins used to generate that went back on having an age of 0. Anybody has any idea what can produce that ?

It's an orphan. Someone else staked at the same time, and beat you in adding it to the chain. I see them every so often. Maybe <1% to 2%. if you see them a lot more often, check your clock, and maybe look at your network. I know the clock can cause problems. As to the age someone else will have to comment on that. I've never checked mine. But I would have assumed the age would go back to the existing age and not reset. |

My biggest mistake was not selling the $ NXC when its priced at 9k. Perhaps that is the highest price that the NXC can achieve. From time to time when the game is released, BTC will probably increase very quickly due to political instability. If dev wanted to keep the price, it would not let its value decrease over time. That is a signal of distrust of investors. x10 current price? market cap $200m. Unbelievable. Tell me why the $ NXC can hit that price? You say I'm FUD? who are you?

I have all my stakes in sizes of 16,000 coins each, about 1M total. Coins are mature (9+ days) but says 92 days to stake?  Am I missing something? I'm going to guess your seeing 92 days to stake on the coin control page. I believe that would be the estimate for that single block. You can get the overall estimate by hovering over the Q-Tip thingy in the lower right corner of the main wallet screen. That will show the estimate based on all of your blocks. Also that number will decrease for a while as you gain more and more weight. |

Hi, I allocated 50 blocks on August 26, each block I left with 19,952.98 HYP and on the 28th I made two more blocks with 23,720 HYP each! Could someone tell me if I did the split correctly? And can I create more blocks with the rewards coming from the blocks? Are there any real chances I'll make another 5000 HYP of rewards when the coin matures?
Go to the send window in the wallet. Click on coin control, and make sure your looking at list mode. If you see 50 blocks listed you did it correctly. That panel will also show the age of the block. Once they hit 8.8 days they are eligible to stake. in the console (debug->console) you can enter "setstakethreshold x". This says don't split the staked block if the result is less then x. So to keep your blocks between 10K 20K you could make x = 10000. You can also use multisend and send a piece of your stake to another address. You could send me 10% of each stake or you could send that to an exchange to trade. This is a very good coin to play around with, and learn about staking and the way coin control and other advanced features work. |
