Dev team, consider getting a free listing on CryptoHashTank POS/MN Service

It was listed on Crytptohashtank early on but they never had enough people to complete a masternode, the best way to get it added would be to talk to the owners of CHT and see if enough people in their discord would be interested.

Ticket prices have gone up quite a bit, I am wondering if anyone has had luck with shared ticket purchasing and if so how was the experience? I am not sure if it is even a thing anymore, but I do remember seeing something about it in the forum a while back.
shared ticket purchasing sound's very good , ticketprices are indeed going up , would be good to share tickets

I just found a pool that is doing ticket split beta testing, but I have not tested it yet so I am not sure if its worth trying out.

https://stake.decredbrasil.com/

If anyone in the community has experience with this one let me know

Hundreds of splits have already been made in this pool without problems, was the first to do splits and the owner developed the version of the split app for OSX.
It's one of the first Decred pools, since 2016.

Thanks for the feedback, I just found a tutorial on their website with information and a link to a youtube video explaining how to setup for split tickets. Here is the video for anyone who has the same questions as I do https://youtu.be/3RGoUQK0g24

105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lytix - PoS Masternode Coin on: April 14, 2019, 12:25:02 PM
Discussion on discord is should we change the reward behavior to the following:

70% masternode operators
30% stakers

We have currently agreed to a 60/40 split, but the question is now open.

I think that a 70/30 split wouldn't be a bad idea, but at the same time it might also be wise to raise the amount needed for a masternode maybe to 7000 or 10000 or more. I think anything that can encourage running no more than two masternodes per vps would also be a good idea.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PASC] PascalCoin: Deletable blockchain - Like Bank accounts [SAFEBOX] on: April 04, 2019, 05:46:29 AM
Finally had a few hours to spend with this and have the wallet up and miner working well, the only problem is apparently creating a user account without some 3rd party involvement is forbidden. It seems I am too much of an idiot to use this coin so I will have to settle selling my mining power if that ever is an option.

Its appears that way with additional activity on twitter, he always stated he had certain plans for the project so lets see what direction it heads to. Its important to note that if you are having trouble with the sync of your wallet to delete the current peers and use the ones built into the wallet according to recent tweets from the dev/project manager.

Looks like a really cool project, I am going to have to come back to it eventually once I have a day to sit down and figure out the unique wallet setup.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bela — Powering the Belacam Social Media Economy on: March 11, 2019, 09:49:14 PM
Found tons of people just posting photos they snagged off google image search. Do they have any way to deal with content that is not original? Seems like authorizing users based on other social media accounts might be a good idea. It would be in everyone's interest to have legit content and incentivize legit creators with rewards for links from multiple social media accounts.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bela — Powering the Belacam Social Media Economy on: February 27, 2019, 03:36:56 PM

Is it just me or is the web interface slow as hell, I just signed up and logged in today and its pretty unusable in its current state. Hopefully its some maintenance or updates being performed and its not always this way.
From telegram:

We're doing heavy server maintenance. We appreciate your patience during this. The Bela bonus hasn't ended, we have not shut down the site, everything is fine. The site will be back faster than it was before once we get the new servers online! There's a ton of data to migrate over, and it has to be done exactly right or else the site won't work on the new server. That just takes some time.

I figured it was something like that, glad to see things being upgraded and progressing along nicely. Thanks for the info and I look forward to trying it out once everything is back to normal hopefully in a few days.

It looks like the Yobit wallet for XPTX may be having issues, if you use the exchange it might be a good idea to only send a tiny bit to find out if its working for you before sending anything substantial.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PlatinumBAR XPTX - Rare Cryptocurrency with PoW / PoS (230%) on: February 04, 2019, 11:08:48 PM
Hello All

How do add the new node on the wallet ? i haven't not files conf for add

Thx u

Its best to use the most recent ones from http://pool.hashrefinery.com/explorer/peers?id=1531 just copy some of those into your conf file and you should start seeing your wallet move.

Just a heads up for everyone who traded XPTX on Cryptopia, according to their twitter page Cryptopia suffered a major hack and significant loss so who knows when that exchange will be back up again.

Keep in mind you can still use this explorer http://pool.hashrefinery.com/explorer/XPTX

Here is a list of current peers as well
~
Thank you so much for those given nodes.
My wallet synced well, but I have added those nodes into my notes for later use.
Code:

Glad it helped, but keep in mind that if you have issues in the future it might because some of those peers are offline so you should check the connected peers at http://pool.hashrefinery.com/explore now and then.

Those are some insane mining numbers, I wouldn't be surprised if someone was playing around with FPGA miners. CPU and GPU miners do not have a chance

Anyone else GPU mining this?

Also if you are using a cpu make sure you have dual channel memory for a big boost in hash rate. I have not tried it with a quad channel setup but I have a hunch you would see some performance boosts.

CPU-only
Yes memory bandwidth is usually the first bottleneck, secondary L3 cache size and finally - CPU frequency

Here are some GPU benchmarks for anyone that is interested, I ran mine on linux with a power limit of 95 watts for a GTX 1070 so you can get more hash with full power.

FYI GPU mining has been around for at least 6 months from my research.

Benchmarks https://pool2mine.com/bench

I'm running a few Xeons (E5 v4) 2.0-2.4kH/s per 110-150W (full system power consumption) also hacked a few low powered Intel (Core M) devices at 400-450H/s at 9W power consumption.

Those numbers beat any GPU.

I have also seen benchmarks on Intel gen 8. and AMD Ryzen/TR that can do even better than that. None the less RTX data is yet to come.

Those intel core M numbers are impressive, a single GTX 1070 in a system running an amd 200ge (35 watt TDP) with the card set to a power limit of 100 will do about 3.1kH/s with a power draw of 140 watts at the wall and you can get even more density and power efficiency with a 6 card rig.

I have been able to get about 1.4kH/s on a ryzen 1500x and about the same speed on a threadripper 1950x which makes me think the threadripper needs 2 instances to run properly

New AMD's can do magic just need to assign the mining threads correctly since one thread cant access all of the L3 cache memory space as Intel CPUs.

In cpuminer-opt play with -t and --cpu-affinity setting to get the best results.

That did the trick on the threadripper but its a power hungry beast so the Ryzen 1500x seems to be the best, thanks for your help.
