101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 21, 2024, 09:51:29 AM
Got it perfect, I  really like when a team got underestimated too much because they don't have their star beacuse they won most of the time, or at least cover the spread. and let's get this going.

1- Cleveland -5 win
I will continue to trust the Cleveland playing geat at home, the spread is just right, not a trappy one so let's get this one.

2-Suns +1.5 loss
They are the better team for me IMO, their playoff experience will start in this game and if this will be a close game, I think the Suns are gonna steal one game on the road.

3.Lakers+7 win
Everyone is probably expecting that the Nuggets are gonna win this game easy, I say it's going to be a close game and the Lakers might even win. I think Lebron understands how important is game 1, so expect a very physical game.  Just a side bet but not counting it on my record, I like the under  223.5.

Updated record 4(W)-3(L)..... 57%

Good start by the Lakers but like their previous match ups, Lakers still collapse in the 2nd half.
Once the Nuggets figure out the right adjustment, it seems like the Lakers have no more answer and that's what we witness in that game. I even thought they'll win but turns out they loss and unable to cover the handicap.

Let's jump to the upcoming games anyway.

Miami +14
I think Boston is just too overvalued to give this high handicap on a team that beat them in the regular season with the same line up.

Dallas -2.5
I like them to take the first win, no Leonard in this game and the Dallas are currently on a great run, it should continue here.

Pelicans +8.5
No Zion but they proved they can win, so I like taking them with this high handicap against a young OKC team.
102  Other / Meta / Re: Why is merit not common on trading discussion board on: April 20, 2024, 09:19:07 PM
The trading section is unarguably filled not with shitposters only, but with posters who have neither tried trading full-time nor intend to, nor even fully understand what trading and the strategies of trading are.

Well, many people who jump into trading tend to do so thinking that they are going to get rich with little capital and leverage because they follow the influencer of the moment. To some extent it is a board like gambling, but less spammy I would say. However, it has many similarities. Today I have seen talk of degenerates in terms of traders and in that I think many of them are similar to degenerate gamblers. I am not surprised, then, that not many merits circulate on that board just as they do not circulate on the gambling boards.
In short, majority of these traders act like gamblers so it makes sense why they fail to attract merits in this technical board. However, there are still few widely experienced traders who are certainly getting consistent merits in trading, simply because they were enhanced as real traders in the market, and have absorbed completely the real essence of trading and how it can be highly successful and productive. The rest are just random gamblers who hide their identity as somewhat traders.
103  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin halving security tips for first timers. on: April 20, 2024, 08:58:19 PM
With the current high fees, I doubt that anyone will be able to transmit a transaction within the next 24 hours, but thanks for the advice.
Many beginners may believe anything even though the event of halving is well covered and it is easy to get answers to all your queries.
Right, high fees are currently annoying so most probably, beginners will also be bothered and won't create new transactions these days, good thing for them so they won't end up with new ways of scams. That's why being aware how this halving works and how scamming gets highly visible these days are crucial, so that you won't be trapped in such scam situations to the point of losing everything what you have in your wallet. Being cautious and vigilant are the keys.
104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 20, 2024, 11:38:23 AM
Wow, Heat is too strong. With Butler, they're really good in the playoffs but I guess that even without him, it won't affect their determination to win.

They beat the Bulls but the Celtics is a different animal, they have their best season and they'll not gonna repeat what happened last year. And with the recent report about the injury of Butler, as we can see....

https://www.cbsnews.com/miami/news/heat-star-jimmy-butler-has-sprained-ligament-in-knee-will-be-sidelined-several-weeks-3/
Quote
An MRI exam on Thursday showed that he sprained the MCL ligament, an injury that typically takes at least four weeks or more to heal.

That means the Heat are gonna be playing with Jimmy Butler, can they win with the current line up, yes but the chance is very slim.

106  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does trading belongs to everyone? on: April 19, 2024, 10:05:57 PM
Does trading belongs to everyone?
If you ask me personally, of course I will answer that crypto trading is not for everyone, crypto trading is specifically for those who have learned, experience and understand the science of crypto trading, indeed if you look at it trading is easy, but it is difficult to do it.

Trading is not just about having capital and pressing a button, understanding how to do it is also important, we can't just make purchases without being based on market knowledge, trading, charts, analysis and so on require a process to achieve and be able to trade well and make good profits, for that reason not everyone can do it, but if you trade to lose and make losses, maybe everyone can.
Exactly. Trading is certainly not for everyone who dream of having it, but only for those who have the knowledge and skills, and good experiences in the market. While it's free to trade in the market as long as there are sufficient funds, but you know it's a lot different if you enter trading without knowing than those who trade with high experiences. Aside that you can't be profitable in trading, it can also leave you frustrated and depressed once you push yourself to engage in trading.
107  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to be more visible in the forum as a beginner on: April 19, 2024, 08:25:12 PM
Just  to put it out there not every newbie is a beginner, I have read some interesting write-ups from beginners on the forum and being noticed(visible) is about staying on board's you all more comfortable and knowledgeable about and interactions with like minded users comes naturally without breaking a sweat...btw for as long as a user  also avoids mega threads chances are high of standing out.

Oh and just a heads up, if you are going to be so desperate to the point of using Ai to write content, chances are that you won't survive being on the forum for a long time.. AFAIK the secret is to be as natural as you can and in no time merit will follow and ranking up follows..

Btw, the more a user contributes to technical threads/topics the easier it is to be noticed, what you do with this information is up to you  Cool
Yes, some may still own newbie position but that doesn't mean that they are still new in the market, or their knowledge about crypto is limited. And their posts in the forum proves it as they can also be as knowledgeable as other long time forum members. Hence, this is just the same that newbies these days will not limit their posts in certain boards, but as long as they have something relevant to say, they will make it as their asset so they will be noticed in the forum. Something that OP may have misunderstood because in reality, newbies may only be visible in the forum the moment they start contributing for the benefit of other members, even if these certain boards suggested by OP are not posted.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin will remain the greatest crypto currency in the world. on: April 18, 2024, 09:59:42 PM
It will remain as that and no one would be able to overtake that position for a long time. Imagine, it has been approved with ETFs all around the world and no other crypto has done that yet and that's because it's #1. It will be an asset everyone should have because it's digital gold and I agree.

BTC will remain at the top for a very long time.
Certainly yes. Bitcoin is the most trusted asset all over the cryptocurrency market, so it deserves to be the  greatest and highly profitable crypto asset in the whole universe. And to think that it has been here for more than a decade and still creating a positive progress throughout its existence, then that must be something that bitcoin has to be proud of. And as one of its solid investors, I’m loud and proud to say that bitcoin is highly an exceptional one.
109  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin’s bull run coming to an end? on: April 18, 2024, 09:20:13 PM
The price fell by 3.78% today,Current price $61748.But it’s still a price I can’t afford
if you are waiting for a bear market or the btc to drop down below 50k$ then you need to wait another 4 years, i think you are too late to have a plan to buy because btc is in a bull run status and its price for now is too risky to buy, however you can still buy it even at the high price today depending on your budget a budget that you can afford to lose because after bitcoin halving the price may become double or more bullish.
If you are going to purchase the whole bitcoin, everyone will say it’s actually highly expensive. So you need to wait for a market to become bearish. However, the thing is you don’t need you to buy the whole of it as a beginner, but learn to start with a small portion instead. That way, you won’t be pressured waiting for the bearish price. Don’t think that you are late in entering bitcoin investment, the bull run has just started so you can always decide to enter the market as long as you have a sufficient amount to start buying bitcoin.
110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 18, 2024, 11:44:26 AM
AD is in disadvantage in terms of weight, so Jokic could easily move him inside and if he gets double, Jokic will use his great ability in passing.
He will be tired if he keeps guarding Jokic one on one but they could not double him because Jokic is good in finding an open man and we know that this team are good 3 point shooters. It seems like they had already found the formula of winning with balance offense and defense. And honestly, despite of the hype of the Lakers which is expected since Lebron is popular, I have to look at the real performance of the team to know which one is the better team.
111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 18, 2024, 07:43:15 AM
Lakers -1 WIN
They just won and dominated the Pelicans, they should be able to do it again.

Warriors -2 LOSS
Hopefully Curry will play, but regardless, I think the Warriors are more experience so they'll get this win.

Updated record 1(W)-1(L)..... 50%

The Lakers pick was so easy, I didn't even sweat watching the game although it was close at some point. But man, the Warriors vs Kings, that was a big disappoinment and I believe that the Warriors are done, they need to rebuild.

Moving on the coming games, there will be a one day rest before that but I have my early picks.

1- Miami Heat

2-Pelicans.

I will be updating the spread once it's out and the reason why I choose theses teams.
112  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial Advice for a young millionaire on: April 17, 2024, 08:58:55 PM
I don’t think at such a young age he will be able to understand financial advices unless if he gets good education about financial aspects. He should become mature at least in dealing with financial decisions so that he will be more able to perceive financial advices more positively. If he can hire a professional financial adviser that will help him throughout his decision making, I really think that would be great. Digging into financial aspects is not easy, unless if he has been exposed into financial decision making while his parents are still alive.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't Altcoin a distraction to Bitcoin adoption? on: April 17, 2024, 08:31:49 PM
The straight answer is a no. Altcoins does not stop Bitcoin adoption in anyway and I believe Bitcoin adoption is not matured yet as the process is ongoing and will eventually happen. We must appreciate the progress Bitcoin have made so far such as the ETF approval, Bitcoin being listed in NY Stock exchange and not forgetting the widespread acceptance that Bitcoin is enjoying now. It is a matter of time before Bitcoin is finally adopted in the mainstream meanwhile altcoins does not have a part to play in all these.
Bitcoin is good without altcoins, and altcoins are definitely not a distraction to bitcoin’s adoption. Most probably, we are still seeing a late bitcoin adoption because the people are just starting to recognize bitcoin, it’s advantages and disadvantages. But we all know that the world is actually heading for its bitcoin global adoption slowly, until majority of the countries learn to accept and legalize bitcoin, and use it in their everyday life. I know bitcoin process is getting there, so we just have to be patient since bitcoin itself is still young and have not totally matured yet.
114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: April 15, 2024, 02:59:33 PM
Definitely Inoue could make that amount of money if he continues to move, but with the current amount he is making, I think he is already satisfied since at the current weight where he is a champion, there's not much money here. Maybe if Inoue will try to move up in weight again, that's the time that he'll have more fights in the USA, but they need to make it faster to take advantage on Inoue's prime, otherwise, they won't be able to break their goal which is to be the 9th division champion to break what Pacman has achieve.
It remains to be seen if he can break Pacquiao's and that is how he performs in a division that is talent-laden which is the featherweight and the lightweight where big names are battling for their legacy and Inoue's name will not pop up in their talks, he may be the heavy favorite in the Bantamweight but do you think he will be against Haney or Tank Davis.
It's unlikely that he'll break the achievement  of Pacman because Inoue stays long in a certain division and will wait until he become an undisputed champion. In fact, he is already an undisputed champion in the super bantamweight and yet he is still not moving up. Well, hopefully this will be his last fight because the more he moved, the bigger the challenge he'll surpass.

if he'll move to 126 lbs, I think he can still become an undisputed champion, but at 135 lbs... it's where I can say his chance is 50-50 because Davis and Stevenson is in this division.

But seriously, does anyone here believe on Bob Arum's comment? Can Inoue be better than Pacman in terms of achievement in boxing?
It's a long shot it's just unfortunate that Pacquiao and Inoue did not meet in their prime but if ever they meet Pacquiao will win the match-up in any weight category they meet, Bob Arum is like that if he is making a lot of money from one boxer he will say the best description, he did it on Pacman and all the other boxers he manages.
That's why we should not easily be convince. Inoue is undoubtedly great, he is called as a monster for a reason, and no one has ever defeated him yet.  I think he is just enjoying the current division where he could really dominate, hopefully he'll take higher risk challenging those great champions on the higher division for bigger paycheck too.
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in and losing the bet on: April 15, 2024, 07:20:37 AM
In gambling, it is the loss that will often occur rather than the victory, so it is not recommended to bet all the money we have on gambling, because most likely it will only make us lose money instead of being able to double the money, also I think that people who bet all their money on gambling may be people who are very obsessed with getting big wins.

The truth is, we lose in the long run, so the more we gamble, our chances of winning is decreasing, going all in is better than slowly gambling, because since it's not fun to do all in, that's why it's not advisable, except if you really think of it as an strategy, but most gamblers don't do all in.

We value in the entertainment in gambling, so as much as possible, we extend our gambling session and we end up being profitable. That's the truth, so a gambler going all in is just probably being upset and wants to win back his losses quick enough.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 15, 2024, 06:36:07 AM
Let's go with the last schedule of games in the season.

Pelicans -4. loss
Both teams need a win for their ranking, it's more important for the Lakers but I could not fade a team that is on a winning streak.

Rockets -3. win
This will be a giveaway by the Clippers their starters might be preparing for the playoffs and will just let their bench players to play.

Warriors -8. loss
This is a must win for them, I think it's a good bounce back game with a double digit win. So Warriors all the way.

Updated record 61(W)-60(L)..... 50% REGULAR SEASON WIN RATE RECORD>
This is the result of my result season betting. Now that it's over, I'm closing this and would start a new record for the playoffs (that includes the play-in).

More exciting games coming ahead as we have arrive to the best part of the season. So I'm hoping you guys will have a profitable betting journey.
As for the first 2 play-in games, here's my prediction.

Lakers -1
They just won and dominated the Pelicans, they should be able to do it again.

Warriors -2
Hopefully Curry will play, but regardless, I think the Warriors are more experience so they'll get this win.

117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It takes the balls... on: April 14, 2024, 09:58:49 PM
Lots of investors are still waiting for a lower entry point.

It might be pressuring so it is important to keep a clear head. All these screams about buying now might make an investor panic and do something out of impulse.

Stick with your plan but learn how to assess a situation and adapt into it accordingly instead of jumping right into it.

The current price dips is already a big opportunity to enter the market for newbies, but it would be more attractive if the price would drop even more so that even old investors will continue to DCA and create a maximum purchase. However, those who are new in the market and have bought bitcoin when the price is quite high must be real panicking at this moment but knowing this is just temporary so they should not feel highly pressured now because it would only push them to create wrong decision that they might only regret later on.

Just buy and hold. Stick with your plan so you can finally achieve your goal while the current market condition is giving you huge opportunity to make it happen.
118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you achieved anything from gambling on: April 14, 2024, 01:59:12 PM
For me, gambling is just part of the fun, if you have got something or a reasonable experience from your friends, in my opinion that is a pretty good thing, you can think from there. Will you continue gambling with the hope or dream of getting instant money from it or not gambling? In fact, all gambling systems are created for you to lose. It's better to use your money for something that is much more useful, namely investment or something else. There is nothing instant in this world, everything needs a process to get the desired results.
If gambling is not really for you, you should consider gambling as a way of having fun alone. Nowadays, with the popularity of online casinos, you don't need your friends to gamble as you alone can already gamble in front of your smart phone or PC, and because of that, sometimes you get tempted to bet more because you lose control, it's really different when you are enjoying with your friends as you can only do it occasionally,  but nowe we can do it even on a daily basis, depending on your budget.

In reality, most of us are not lucky, at least in the long run, so we have to choose if we stay and consider it as a serious money maker as only few had succeeded while most of us fail. I'm taking about making a living in gambling, yes it's possible as long as you have skills.
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about videos on mistakes in gambling sites and games? on: April 14, 2024, 01:03:56 PM
Not everything you see or hear is true. Some may make you believe their lies as truth.

This is how matured gambler thinks. We have expereince gambling already and we know it's hard to win, in fact most of us losses in the long run, so that thing called "easy money" that is being broadcast by the streamers is just a way to attract gamblers to sign under their referral, or they are just paid by a certain casino that they are promoting. We are not born yesterday,  we know the truth in gambling, and it's too risky that we should not be too overconfident especially on games that are only won by luck.
120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are crash games profitable??? on: April 14, 2024, 09:59:36 AM
I won in the Original game of the Stake.com Crash game before. There's a way to win against the system, it's not being greedy. When you have a faster internet you can somehow cash out faster so that you can win. Those who are satisfied with little profits can make some money here but it will really take long before you feel it.
Are you sure you are talking about the crash game, similar to the one running on bustabit and bc.game? In my opinion it is never dependent on skills but only luck, an EV- game. Try making money back from it using whatever "script" or cheat you try to find, you will lose money no matter what. Fast internet here helps to stop at the time before the crash happens but this is anecdotal, does not influence the actual game at all.

If that was the case then people will fast internet (which is almost universal now) would all have an edge over others, but that is not happening because the casinos are profiting more.
This is the reality, no matter how fast our internet or how we believe that we will have an edge, it is not gonna happen. Before casino build this game, they already know that the edge is on them, regardless on how small, it's stil the end, and the more gamblers are playing, that will make them more profitable as they make more money on volume of gamblers. So if we think that we should be playing in this casinos becasue people are winning, that's a myth as casino would not stay active if they are losing money.
