101  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Mt Gox is a BLACK HOLE on: January 31, 2014, 06:33:40 AM
Mt Gox is no longer honoring the withdrawal of Bitcoins either.  I decided to get out of Mt Gox, converted my fiat to BTC (at a loss) and requested a withdrawal.  I expected it to take under an hour - the whole thing ought to be automated right?

Nope

It has been 2 days now and zero indication of any activity.  But Mt Gox certainly took their .01 withdrawal fee.

MT GOX IS A COMPLETELY SHADY and INCOMPETENT EXCUSE FOR A BUSINESS.  I'm in IT and there is no reason such an operation should be screwed up - I can understand issues with dealing with fiat, but not something handled predominantly through software.  I apparently never even owned my bitcoins or even fiat, I suppose - you put money into Mt Gox, you are GIVING it to them!

Bitstamp on the other hand has been superb.

Why Did I even fund my Mt Gox account?  The price difference was too much and I thought I'd try it out.  I thought if I moved only BTC in and out, it'd be ok.  It wasn't much, so I'm only pissed as opposed to suicidal.

Apparently Mt Gox has run the long con game and now they are wrapping it up

Class action suit, anyone?

I initially had problems as they were overwhelmed with sign-ups. My approval took 1.5 months but I have been trading in and out with no problem...

It sounds to me that your "Bitstamp on the other hand has been superb." comment indicates some BS on your part. Nothing like hyping up a competitor when you have a complaint.

More than a year they have been overwhelmed. Scam!
102  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Danks chance to clear his name! on: January 31, 2014, 06:30:18 AM
I will send you a little more for the next month and I will do so early on.

Sometime before JUne 2014 I am going to turn this ordeal into a narrative roughly on par with a Gary Paulsen Young Adult novel.
103  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Ripped OFF by bitbet.us on: January 31, 2014, 06:27:00 AM
So it looks like it has been confirmed that there was no rip off?

Yes

I do not know what all the anger is about here...

All I know is that I paid .011 BTC on a winning bet and did not receive any compensation for it.  I sent a total of 0.022 btc on the same bet, just different dates.  All I received in return was .0108 or something around (possibly lower).  I do not appreciate the insinuations and insults and extreme potty-mouth (especially from the queen/girl).  Obviously I did SOMETIHNG right in order to receive ANYTHING BACK.  HOWEVER, I STAND AT THE SAME CONCLUSION AS WHEN I MADE THIS POST IN THE FIRST PLACE.  ALL OF YOU HATERS can go back and get your commissions from "TIC" now and STFU and stay off my honest and legit. post.

TYVM&HAND!!

Do you hate math or does math hate you?
104  Economy / Securities / Re: [Official Thread] - The SolarWind Mining Company on: January 31, 2014, 06:21:19 AM
Hello everybody,

I have some good news to share. I visited with my friend/business partner today and we had a conversation about the issues we are having, this is the same person that owns the location where the Neptune will be hosted. We worked out an arrangement where I will be helping him out at his shop (doing MANUAL LABOR -> as promised using "my own two hands") and in exchange he will have his web developer build our website. This means that we won't have to wait anywhere near as long to get it back up and with all the improvements to boot!

This is a great time to suggest features that you would like to see in an investment website. So let's post some comments about what you would like to see and what features are important to you and I will try to get any practical suggestions incorporated.

Later,
James

i would like to keep track of my own shares and what not, rather than being able to see everyone who is part of the company, although both is nice (this would require a registration system for the site most likely)

Your in luck, that one is already in the works!

How many percent of the original board to you rep?
105  Economy / Collectibles / Re: portraits, commissions, and original paintings by Maureen Gubia on: January 31, 2014, 06:15:31 AM
Anyone with a WoT rating willing to do escrow for this deal?

In MP's case I would be willing to escrow from his known payment address to the painter's known receiving address. I'd also be willing to do a simple neg rating to the breeching party.
106  Economy / Securities / Re: [Mpex.co] The biggest scam in bitcoin history? on: January 26, 2014, 05:36:13 AM
How can a stock with 14,000btc in dividends (and likely to decrease due to increasing value of btc) be worth 1,000,000 btc or about 1/10th of all bitcoins.

Even if mpex became the default stock exchange with a shitload of stocks how can it reach a value of 1/10th all bitcoins?

You do realize that there can be things worth more than all bitcoins, right?

Not if you want to sell it for bitcoins..

Fun fact: asicminer with 200k btc dividends past year is evaluated at 200k btc

mpex.co with 14k in dividends is valued at 1,000k btc

How can a dying company which has less than 1/10th asicminers profits be worth more than 5 times asicminer.

Does that make it 50 times more expensive than asicminer based on dividends alone?

Do you honestly think mpoe will pay out a significant percentage of share price in dividends over the next year or two? My guess is it doesn't even pay out 1% (or 10k btc) in the next year.

Who knows maybe some extremely rich idiots will join and blow a few thousand btc gambling. Doubt it though since the increasing cost of joining is going to exclude potential customers (idiots) from joining.

I have to question your assumptions as to which venture is they dying one and which is the growing one.

its need of time some one came forward and some action about this because now many frauds happen in last few days and nothing happening we need some laws to prevent these and its best you have ISPs work for this and give IP addresses and catch these cheaters

Just let us make it clear that honest betting here is impossible. Criminal stuff can happen eventually. For the moment though people need to stop enriching this scammer.
109  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WHY I DON'T TRUST CRYPTSY WITH MY MONEY on: January 17, 2014, 03:54:36 AM
I honestly think cryptsy bit off more than they can chew. They have too many pairs and opportunities for screw ups.

Picking a handful of trading pairs and doing very well like BTC-e would net them much more success.

Good luck to all their customers as I am a previous user refuses to use them anymore based purely on the number of public complaints I have seen.

Honestly I can't point to a safe place for the altcoin trade to go. Mcxscam was sam, vircurex is scam, Cryptsy looks incredibly like scam, and BTC-E wavers along the lines of scam.

111  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Time to go on a spending spree at Overstock! on: January 17, 2014, 03:00:53 AM

I went back again to look for something I can use.  I changed my mind about the prices being reasonable.  Lots of them are actually not.  Worse, it's a God-awful mess to try to find things in the native categorization tree.  Plenty of the things (e.g., I was looking for a reasonable sized UPS) were blatant rip-offs.  Then they might have basically the same item multiple times with wildly different prices (and utterly absurd 'compare' readings.)

I always respected Byrne's fights against the naked short/ financial media criminals, but the honest truth is is that the Overstock web-site seems to suck beyond usability and I cannot see any particular value that these guys are bringing to the table.

There site is a bit of a mess. I did however find some deals but I'm sure I was looking at different stuff than you. Also some of the stuff they sell just looks like complete crap, very low quality. But then again they have high end high quality stuff too.

I also noticed that they have repeat listings of the same product at different prices. I'm pretty sure the way overstock works is that they let others sell goods on their sites. I have had items ship from all over and never directly from "overstock". The shipping is no where near as fast as amazon.com but I will use overstock for some stuff as I want to support sites that support BTC.

When/if I get a house we will consider buying a bunch of furniture and what not from them.

In my first flirtation with Overstock last week I found they shipped my chosen timekeeping instrument faster than Amazon had shipped anything to me recently. Thanks to the multiple sellers situation they do have some good deals. Probably just not good enough deals to pay for with BTC.

Yeah I think when he started this site, it wanted to be legit. But at some point he decided that stealing money is way easier than actually earning it. Everyone has a price, a few hundreds of btcs (when they became worth 1000+$) was bit365's price for him to go "breaking bad". Or maybe his wife left him or his dog died, who knows what made him tip over... As long as he stays anonymous, he is not risking much by scamming people over and over.

Unless you've planned it long in advance it's not particularly easy to remain completely anonymous as there are always records (both your login IP and domain registration) and other data you may have unknowingly provided that allows people to work out who you are. In this case, I'm not too sure whether he's gone scam or he's delaying the payouts for some other nefarious reason as I don't believe his excuse of losing his cold storage wallets.

Light has nailed it on the head.
but still nobody can do any thing as TF already away with 4000 what happen nothing someone is hospital someone in serious financial trouble but all is going as this bit365 holding all our funds and we are just waiting

People can stop sending this fucker new btc
114  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Time to go on a spending spree at Overstock! on: January 10, 2014, 05:37:05 AM
K I ordered a watch from there. No one order from overstock until it arrives. We dun want to support scammers do we?

Hello all,

The sCrypt motion has passed by a large majority, and the hardware will be online and fully operational, along with the 28TH from CoinTerra, by the end of the month.

Best Regards,
Garrett

P.S. I have mailed all FIMB holders and they will be repaid promptly after confirming their bitcoin addresses. If you are a FIMB holder and did not receive the email, please PM me.

Hi Garrett,

We're still looking for a more detailed update on the missing dividends.

Thanks

Without appropriately tending to this situation and/or solutions, how do you think anyone here can be certain this won't happen once the new hardware "arrives?"

And you expect the shill bidder to answer honestly?
116  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinSports.eu - Bitcoin Sportsbook - PLAY or INVEST - No Registration! on: January 10, 2014, 04:42:52 AM
I dont think if your running a 400,000+ USD business that you lose the money due to cold storage wallets just being lost. If bitcoin was regulated in the U.S. this guy would be looking at serious... fucking... time.

You really don't lose that much to cold storage wallets being lost. If you have that much money in them you make sure you can fucking restore them.

Scam.
117  Economy / Securities / Re: Why is MPOE worth so much? on: January 10, 2014, 04:41:22 AM
Interesting reading the old comments.

I am still trying to decide whether to put more or less money in S.MPOE? On the one hand it seems overvalued for the amount of dividend it produces currently, but on the other hand it is the most steady investment in bitcoins and has room to grow?

This is still around? People still use this?

With all the new options I'm kinda shocked.

What new options?

Exactly my thought. Is there anybody that does what MPEx does?

yeah, there are at least two russian sites that do this and i had thought some western ones as well. maybe not i guess. i dont follow it well.

As far as I know there are people supposing the operate options markets and different people supposing they operate markets for stocks. Even most charitably supposing these things exist, none of them have... history...

How's Cognitive doing?
