Bump, lowered price.
still, $80 is 5 dollars less than current market value of .8 btc (84.64 USD) And other people offer MoneyPak's for mtgox last + 5-15%. This isn't a bad deal. It is a good deal. I'd take it if I was looking for MP at the moment.

There are a lot of recent altcoins, because people can start new coins by simply changing some parameters in the code for an existing client and create a new altcoin. Altcoin releases used to be less frequent and typically involved bigger deviations from each other, but now...

No point, the hash rate is too low and what is more, laptops are far more susceptible to heat problem. You will spoilt your laptop in no time.
Pretty much this. You might lose the laptop to heat.

Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitcoinScammers.com

Lol This thread has officially just became hilarious and off point. You regular members really know how to shine. I'm keeping the site up to help people from becoming victims from individuals who like to scam and people like you who prey on the weak. 4 people aren't going to change my mind about the site when there are far more using it for it's purpose. If you truly want to do something positive for the bitcoin community make your own site that you think is fair. Discussing this with you guys is by far interesting but you guys are so off topic and have no idea what your actually doing for me. You guys come off like everything bitcoin related is a scam that hasn't evolved yet and its absurd. Listen to the things you say and the way you speak to each other. It's really sad that you can't be helpful in other ways. Site STAYS you guys FAIL
There's a reason the moderators and admins on this site have largely moved away from assigning and adjudicating scammer tags, and that is because it is hard. You post blatant scams alongside sites it seems you merely don't like such as SwC and Rugatu. Then on the off chance an honest site cares about your opinion to dispute the allegations you end up assigning some nonsensical AAA+OMGWTFBBQ credit rating. Assigning bitcoin credit ratings, if you would have read a bit more before half assing your idea into the wild, have a long history of being assigned by scams and scammers. In the best case people keep ingnoring you and you continue working on this site till you get bored or overwhelmed and then finally quit. In worse cases you start blackmailing sites/businesses. Alternately you engage in assaulting the character of businesses that have been behaving honestly to favor less honest (having hired you) competitors and leading those with low information to trust the wrong businesses. Your reaction and demonstrated ignorance of the communities surrounding bitcoin suggests the course of action you have with the least negative EV is just dropping this account, reading more, and starting over. You may want to reread greyhawk and MPOE-PR's posts. There may be an offer tucked away in there by which you might be able walk away while still realizing a positive EV on this venture. There may be some things tucked in their writings that are more serious than they might seem on first a impression.

Buyer is another member's alternate account, where the main account has been with us more than a year here and he has contributed over 500 posts without a previous scam accusation filed. Please note that this statement is not a vouch, promise, or contract to fulfill of any sort by the forums. As always, caveat emptor in the Bitcoin world.
Thanks, John
I can vouch that a transaction with this site was successful. I hope to see this site continue to run honestly in the future.

Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Please do not change MAX_BLOCK_SIZE
|
on: June 03, 2013, 10:16:14 PM

All I care about is for Bitcoin to succeed in a long term - you put USD requirements over running a node and you are giving the power back, to the very same people that Satoshi was trying to escape from with his great invention.
Do you actually understand that PEOPLE, not only banks will be able to run full nodes in their basements even if block size is 50MB, right ? You are wrong there. Me and all my friends who are running full nodes are already peaking our upload speeds, with maxconnections=16 and 32 kB upload, which is speed almost everyone I know here go for. To increase it to 64 kB I'd need to go for 8 MB download package which not only costs too much but I don't need it for day to day computer use. My upload:download ratio now is 20:1 or more when only Bitcoin client is running on computer. If block size goes up significantly, there is no way me or my friends will run full nodes. So, you lose few of us here, many others elsewhere, and you'll be left with less than 1000 full nodes worldwide. Good luck! Right now I'm running a full node on a VPS because the traffic is a bit rough on the home connection. For people who are invested enough in Bitcoin and want to see it stay decentralized, this might present a reasonable compromise. I keep my wallet in an SPV client and sponsor this node to help keep the network strong. People already do this for tor nodes and have been doing it for a while. I don't see much reason why people who have benefited financially from the bitcoin network and want to see it continue to succeed would be very averse to taking on this responsibility. It is not something everyone needs to do, should need to do, or even should do. It is one very practical way of adapting to the changing realities of bitcoin though.

I got a special deal with http://www.chicagovps.net/ on a un-managed vps with 2GB ram and 4 Core CPU, 50GB space and 2TB Bandwidth all for $40/year but the thing is I suck with Linux and have no use for this vps since it is un-managed, their is 11 months left on it. It can b yours for $25 which I will collect either in LTC or BTC I have proof of payment, receipts if needed to confirm. I have also confirmed with ChicagoVPS and ownership can be transferred to new owner no problem Please PM me if you're interested I'll give you $10 in BTC to just run bitcoind on it and leave it alone until it expires. The network could always use more full nodes.

Yes, you might not be able to determine if something is true or not. But you need to see if something already has being solved or is just silly What in the bitcoinScammers.com web page isn't true? Which sites you think shouldn't be listed there? Well to start, probably SealswithClubs. It'll probably stay there though because the BitcoinScammers account seem to be pimping some new poker site.

why is everything on your site in ALL CAPS?
Blame Dan Bordello, I "borrowed" his design (btcpak.com). I will consider your comment seriously. Two more successful tests, thank you both. I'm off to see Kahn I'll return in about two hours. When the website has no more inventory you will not be able to proceed past the first step. Thank you one and all. I returned your funds. Tested. It would be nice if you could also deviate from the DBordello design by making things easier to copy and paste.

This one could still be won... Damn rain... ya we had it to untill bogs came in in the 9th would of been a 6-0-1 day O well glad you are following and liking the picks Well there's that new rule this year... If the rain would have continued and pushed them to cancel the game the 9th would have disappeared down the memory hole.
