Sometimes my head it causes much ache for great pain not inside but outside on without hair or behind eyes.

Medication always but not sometimes maybe never.  Do you think?

The bastards must die.  Last time I went to the San Diego zoo I didn't see any of those.  I guess they couldn't survive in captivity and their numbers got too low.   Damn poachers always trying to sell things to China.
103  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let's talk about how hot Asian girls are. [NSFW] on: July 13, 2014, 08:04:32 AM
It's actually a girl group called SNSD and they had their girls pose as stewardesses:

This thread never ceases to make me hungry late at night.  Damn, gonna have to go to Costco and stock up on some pizzas.

Enough with the hot dogs.  I don't want to see wieners.

Come fly with me!
106  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you own a firearm? on: July 13, 2014, 07:24:10 AM
I own more than one firearm and am proficient with handguns, rifles and shotguns.

Well and machine guns of which I am a collector.

Don't get a BB-gun - you'll shoot your eye out.  Oh wait, nevermind Tongue

Machine guns huh?  You have those heavy 50's that can chew through cars too?  While I would never buy one of those I would like to play with one for a couple hours.
107  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best Cartoon Ever? on: July 13, 2014, 07:20:20 AM
While I do love Tom & Jerry and Ducktales, my fondest childhood memories are Transoformers, Voltron, and basic Looney Toones.  Muppet babbies was good too.

When I was older I liked Animaniacs - the adult humor in there wasn't very hidden  Tongue

1 week luck at 95% seems a lot better and there's still some good blocks still cooking. I noticed the hashrate seems to have gone up a bit.  Fair weather miners?  Tongue

Hash rate has gone down, not up.

Wow.  So weird, I swear it said that we were at 11.5PH/s.  I refreshed the page and it 10,733.  I guess I didn't look at the graph.  Is the pool speed reading that volatile or am I tripping?
111  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: *** GHash.IO mining pool official page *** on: July 13, 2014, 07:03:17 AM

Perhaps the puppeteer who was playing the strings to keep the price elevated decided it was time to take his profit?  I mean with the maintenance, trading fees, withdrawal fee, and exorbitant cost cex GHs were probably the most overpriced junk out there.
So in other words you have no idea.

I thought it might have been the diff increase.

So in other words you can't understand basic economics.  Price volatility at CEX depends on demand not on logic (if it depended on logic nobody would lose money there).

Here, I'll give you Occam's razor - the price was overinflated and a large holder decided to dump his assets.
112  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Maybe this is offtopic but why do people even post about mining anymore? on: July 13, 2014, 06:59:29 AM
Care to share the 6btc just kidding

I just don't see the point of even talking about mining, I guess if I investigated more into the different algos and what not and see what my computer could handle I would mine altcoin and the likes but really is it even worth it?

Worth it depends on what you want out it.  Some people tinker with hardware that never makes them money but it's fun for them.  For other people they need to spend $100 going skiing or $1500 just on a flight to have fun.

If you're looking to make a profit there is a slim chance a basic computer can mine some future well supported coin - most everybody who mined Bitcoin in 2009 mined at a "loss".

Post your hardware specs and your electricity rate.  CPU, memory, GPU, Power supply.
113  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Keeping ASIC Miner(s) from Heating the Room? on: July 13, 2014, 06:55:25 AM
large asic units may not be safe to be close to you /your family over long periods of time , something to think about

can you provide any scientific research to support this?

ASIC miners, no matter how large are simply heat producers.   They aren't throwing out microwaves or any other sort of radiation beyond their thermal output

they will warm a room but if they will shut down long before they do so to the point where it would harm a human

The radiation is a minimal issue unless you sleep next to the miner.  Remember the intensity decreases with the square of the distance.

The real issue are the chemicals released from the heated components - they give off toxic gases when heated - known as VOCs:

114  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: PS suggestions for my rig? on: July 13, 2014, 06:50:56 AM
I don't want to dissuade you from mining but you should be aware that profit in GPU mining is razor thin right now.  If you want to do it as a learning experiment or hobby then go ahead.

The X11/X13 algos use less energy than Scrypt but a basic PC with a 280X will still put out close to 300W of heat into the room continuously.

If you live in some place like WA state with 0.02/KWh electricity you can definitely make a nice profit.  If you're paying more than $0.10 you will actually be loosing money if you don't chase those pump/dump schemes.
115  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Maybe this is offtopic but why do people even post about mining anymore? on: July 13, 2014, 06:46:23 AM
It may not be profitable to mine Bitcoin, but the network needs to stay distributed and needs to handle the user transactions.  If it didn't then those 10K Bitcoins I'm sitting on would be useless (OK more like 6 BTC  Wink)
116  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to mine using my laptop on: July 13, 2014, 06:44:32 AM
Laptop mining has its chance when Bitcoin and Litecoin were in their infancy.  Now the network has grown and gone past CPUs, GPUs (for the most part), FPGA, and is not entering ASICs.

In basic English - the only things that can make cyrpto currency are specialized miners.  Either buy the hardware, cloud mine, or buy the coin.

In an industry where pool ops getting love/respect from the community for their transparency and communication ghash.io has decided to go the other way and try to hide what's going on behind the curtain.  Come on ghash.io, release your API

What's so important about an API? What are you trying to achieve with it? I run trade bots con cex.io API without any problems.

I see the market for GHS has collapsed today, any ideas what happened?

Perhaps the puppeteer who was playing the strings to keep the price elevated decided it was time to take his profit?  I mean with the maintenance, trading fees, withdrawal fee, and exorbitant cost cex GHs were probably the most overpriced junk out there.

Just out of curiosity, you seem to be located close to their main facility.  Have you ever toured BFL's facilities (back before they became the devil incarnate)?
120  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: New 14nm miners??????? on: July 13, 2014, 06:23:16 AM
Impossible, the smallest nanometer is 20nm, there wouldn't be such a decrease so soon. I would be interested to see his actual working product if he claim its 14nm. I don't think we can hit 14nm within a year

Actually the first 14nm fpga chips started showing up summer of 2013.   Well better than in power consumption and the amount of gates available, they aren't vastly better though.

http://www.fpgacentral.com/news/2013/altera-14nm-stratix-and-20nm-arria-fpga

However, I haven't heard of any 14nm ASICs yet.

There's no reason to jump the gun to a more difficult and costly architecture when the "older" stuff still hasn't been optimized.  Some of the 20/28nm stuff is not as efficient as it could/should be.  Now if 14nm was cheap that would be another story...
