101  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Spoonfeeding, filipinos must read on: June 27, 2018, 09:51:23 AM
So if pag may nakita ako na bago na same subject din , nirereport ko nalang or I post the link of an old topic para dun na matuloy ang discussion at malock yung bago.

Browsing while reporting din nman ginagawa ko just to contribute kahit papaano.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency coining on: June 27, 2018, 08:47:51 AM
i have observed that terms like "cryptocurrency", "blockchain", and "alts" is not an english word because it is not included in the english dictionary though it is cliche in our cryptoworld, i think it is high time to include it in the dictionary for further acceptance of the public and increase its popularity do you agree?
We have our crypto currency Terminology here. Why do you need a dictionary? Grin

We can already gather information nowadays in the INTERNET. There will be a lot of process if you want to include it in the FIAT dictionary. hahaha

103  Economy / Economics / Re: What i believe will come on: June 26, 2018, 06:01:46 PM
Well, the beginning of banking really puts interests of people first before anything else. Nowadays, it has become an institution that takes your money to be invested on something and when it accumulates an income they will gove you chump change from it. I know crypto currency will wipe it all clean. Then again it will take time since fiat has been with us for ages
Definitely yeah. It'll take sometime for this reality to occur. The fiat system has existed for long and people have already become fixed to it and so it won't be easy switching to the crypto system. By the way I also think they can both co-exist
Your right. Both should co exist because not everybody can access crypto currency. Example of this are the remote areas that dont have internet. They can only use FIAT as a form of trade or buying their necessities.
104  Other / Meta / Re: Starting threads to try to generate meritable posts on: June 26, 2018, 04:15:33 PM
My only suggestions would be to not advertise they can earn Merit, and see what you get. The responses may come slower but will probably be more genuine.
I agree, and I think most of the newbies could be a little overwhelm with the question.
I'm having problems getting replies as it is. I started another one about the difference between Scrypt and SHA-256 - maybe I'm getting too technical, but I thought that some of them might do a bit of research.

The first reply looks like a copy and paste with a credit, Hopefully it will generate a bit of discussion, but I don't want to merit a copy and paste. This is the latest thread btw
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4547960.0
Maybe they are afraid of being nuke. IMHO, their research could lead to a copy paste manner because it also need a technical answer which are very limited in explanation.

Keep trying and keep it a little bit general specially for a newbie. Just my point of view.
105  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: June 26, 2018, 08:13:16 AM
Limited palang ata yan.

Then napansin ko sa "What's New" nila:

"BCH and ETH + Load your beepTM card today"
106  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Spoonfeeding, filipinos must read on: June 26, 2018, 06:07:51 AM
Like really? Can you please tell me how did you get on a forum tapos isang araw ka pa lang dito, feeling mo alam mo na lahat?

Check nyo Altcoin Discussion, Announcements. Hindi man lang pag isipan. Gusto easy money. Tapos pag nareport at na-ban iiyak iyak. Kasalanan din naman nila.

TLDR; okay lng mag spoonfeed. Pero sabe nga nla, "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime."
Shit post kamo ng mga alt account. If we really want improvement, lets start reporting this newbies & spammers para malinis ang local section natin. Sa ganitong diskarte eh mababasa agad ng mg taong gustong matuto yung mga importanteng topics which could help them to learn about crypto.
107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Analyst say bitcoin will Obsolete one day. on: June 26, 2018, 05:36:05 AM
The predictor says its useful,  its visible, but one day it will be obsolete.
One thing I want to say people wants to says negatively.  this is a new technology, we can't appreciate new things.
 new link down below.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/geopolitical-analyst-believes-blockchain-will-become-obsolete/amp

The news source you provided above is https://www.cnbc.com/2018/06/15/geopolitical-analyst-george-friedman-says-blockchain-will-become-obsolete.html inside the site that needs to be understood is this paragraph:

"Some analysts have noted that if and when an emerging technology called quantum computing matures, it could easily decrypt blockchain. However, they emphasize such a scenario is still years away and blockchain technology itself may also have evolved by that point."

Blockchain becomes obsolete just like an outdated phone after the emergence of smartphones. This is the law of nature in the technological world. But did not rule out Blockchain will upgrade to a better system so it will stay alive and victorious.
So the point is this news is not negative news. People misunderstand about this kind of news.
Catchy headlines to spread FUD were the most common problem for people who really don't know what bitcoin is. Because of being a jerk investors, panicking all over the crypto world is being inevitable specially people that are ignorate from trading.
108  Economy / Speculation / Re: BOTTOM? list? the real bottomcaller on: June 26, 2018, 01:42:44 AM
$4925 is my guess. Due to the downtrend line for the past week, if it will not break the resistance at $6500 it will go down until 5k below until the end of the year.

Bitcoin will never go below $5,835 ever again! (24th June as per CMC). So I'm calling this the real bottom.
This man is a genius! I thought of this only after making my post, when the price went up right after I called for a $5134 bottom. Now it's easy: if it doesn't drop anymore, you're a winner Cheesy

yeah maybe always best to try Wink

shortly a ATH till NEW YEARS EVE list will follow ....... then a have 4 running enough for a while Grin

Haha Great call.  Shocked Let the bull run. Go go go.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could we ever see AltCoins on Banks? on: June 25, 2018, 03:41:52 PM
Check that Ripple thing on your list, cause it might shocked the whole world someday (could be months or years from now).
Ripple is undeniably created for banks that's why it easily made its jumped to the top 3 with the highest market cap.
Supporting article: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/06/05/ripple-ceo-dozens-of-banks-will-use-xrp-product-in-2019.html
In our country, Ripple(XRP) was already available in our wallet, together with Bitcoin Cash (BCC). It's Just a sign that this altcoins would a really future in the coming years. That's why I'm dividing my investment in to different alts just to see how your investment can grow.
110  Other / Meta / Re: The Reality of this forum on: June 25, 2018, 09:07:09 AM
Limiting newbie participation is very harmful for a community. Newbie jail will never return: I consider the newbie-jail period to have been extremely damaging to the forum. When barriers to participation are too high, then the best people often just won't go to the trouble of joining, and the people who are willing to jump through the hoops are often people who aren't good for the community: people with nothing better to do, scammers, get-rick-quickers, etc. Having a permanent newbie jail policy would improve things a lot in the short-term, but would end up being a fatal poison to the community.
I think this means every newbie that would really aim for the interest of learning in the forum will go through scammers and spammers just to gain "Knowledge"

I'd like to make a couple of suggestions with regard to posting permissions. I believe that it would be worthwhile to restrict thread starting in the serious discussion board to members and above. In fact it may be worth reviewing the permissions for thread starting.
Hope this request will be granted. It would be great to join a discussion with real members rather than spammers that would only shit post.

50 merit requirement could be a great ceiling for a member rank. Just an opinion.
111  Other / Meta / Re: Dark Theme while browsing Bitcointalk on: June 25, 2018, 06:51:44 AM
I think "Look and Layout Preferences" for themes where disable. IMO, it will be great with this dark theme.

I have a difficult time in reading at my mobile phone at night because of great brightness with the current theme.

I'm not also a fan of "extension" because I really don't know what kind of scripts(I'm not a programmer) were in there that would compromise my privacy. That's a reason I don't trust these extension apps in my browser.

Edited:

Sorry my bad. Reading........

By the way, good job for quoting.

Edited:
I prefer OP's format of view. But as stated. If the forum admin can create a dark theme. Much better.
112  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] The most generous users giving merits on: June 25, 2018, 05:43:41 AM
Hello! Can I suggest to remove the sources part?
We know them, by we i mean established members. No need for random spammers to know them...
I agree with it. Spammers will eventually troll the sources just to have merits in their part. Better disclose it like what have theymos noted

Quote
Certain users are designated as "merit sources". They can create new merit out of nothing, up to a limited number per month (which differs per source). I will not be posting a definitive list of merit sources (so that people don't bug them too much), though you'll soon figure out who they are if you pay attention.
Just let them find it by themselves just to give them a challenge in the forum.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some people in crypto still wish the downfall of Bitcoin? on: June 24, 2018, 02:09:11 PM
Even a lot of  these true crypto believers are trying to spread mass panic.  They are doing this to obtain more bitcoin or to make profit on short contracts.  They know the true  future potential of crypto so its likely they are just stockpiling for the next bullrun which should be starting pretty soon.
Believers are different from playing cards in the crypto. You cant just believe, learn how to go with the market to succeed because of volatility. Learn the basic trading to create a real profit from yourself and not just believing on it.
114  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: June 22, 2018, 08:11:59 AM

Limited palang ata yan.

115  Other / Meta / Re: "Guide" subforum on: June 22, 2018, 08:02:09 AM
It would be nice to create a meta subforum where moderators could move how-to guides and other useful information.
I just would like to ask why in Meta?, Isn't much better if those guides are compiled in a subforum in Beginners & Help?
IMO, we need two new subforums (one for each of the following boards: "Meta" & "Beginners & Help"):
  • Meta Guides = Belongs to this forum
  • Beginners & Help Guides = Guides that cover other things
I think most of the new comers are being to lazy searching on what they really want to know.

Spoon feeding will be a great solution for these guides.

A little off topic, I would like to ask theymos a favor. Sir, can you please add "Merits & new rank requirements" in stickies Smiley
Just like populating the "Guides" or "Bitcoin Wiki" with stickies with very useful "how-to guides". Just an opinion.
116  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: June 21, 2018, 02:55:39 PM
haiz nainis ako sa 7 eleven dito sa amin gusto ko sana mag cash in kaso ayaw daw mag conect yung 7 conect nila... 7 11 sana ang madali mag cash in ei useless pa..

Kaninang umaga din nag try ako. Bka nman wala ng cash in ang cois.ph sa 7/11 or nagkataon lang na wala tayo parehas?

Sino nakapagcash in senyo recently sa 7/11?

118  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Binary System Sa Bitcoin on: June 21, 2018, 05:55:16 AM

Other sources could be you tube not only the forum. Be resourcefull.
