101  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy going up and up everyday on: June 04, 2018, 02:31:06 PM
I have been interested into economy, stock trading and such. And have begun watching series movies and reading more about it.

I learned what CDOs where, and how they worked. But now the institutions/banks are selling/buying bespoke tranche opportunities, basically same as CDOs just another name.

The dollar is up by a lot, and the stock market has tested the 200 MA 3 times already. Interest rates are near 0% and loan rates are going up faster and faster each year.

Every country I have friends in, are telling me that the inflation is rising, interest rates are going going down and you're basically losing money each year.
What I think is interesting, is that the loan rates were pretty low (close to 0) for 1-2 years and it started to rise.

I think with the rise of Crypto, it's the safe heaven for us, the normal people. I think communities, countries, specific groups of people will make their own currency (and also money) out of thin air, and this is how our societies will function soon. But that doesn't necessarily mean that cash will go away, I think people are attached to cash a lot and it's a different feeling when you have cash.

What do you guys think? All thots are appreciated!

I disagree about cryptocurrency being the safest haven. For now, there probably nothing that the government and the oligarch can do about manipulating it, but just wait until it becomes globally indemand.
102  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I become a Crypto day trader? on: June 04, 2018, 08:53:02 AM
What tools are you using to manage your daily trading? Which strategies are working best?

Man, you better start trading at low cap; don't even think about trading huge immediately. One more thing, you must expect losses in your first few trades but also keep in mind that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Anyway, I don't use tools; I trade in poloniex.
103  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's price is so volatile right now! Why should I even hold? on: June 04, 2018, 07:06:00 AM
With the price of Bitcoin being so volatile should we ever consider buying or even holding if we have bitcoins?

What are your thoughts??? What should we do??

As it stands today at this moment, the Bitcoin volatility index reads:
4.57% the latest 30-day volatility estimate
3.54% the latest 60-day volatility estimate

The bitcoin volatility index for present day can be seen at: https://btcvol.info/

My opinion of bitcoin longterm can be investigated here in this post titled "Hacks & puppets & forks - how to destroy bitcoin": https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1834310.0

Yeah, you have a point there my friend. The only reason why we are holding is because we believe that someday, bitcoin will be used as a mainstream money. When that day arrives, my bitcoins are valuable as diamond.

So right now, if you don't think the same way as I do, then there is probably no reason for you to HODL.
104  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing in Bitcoin? Advantages and Disadvantages on: June 04, 2018, 06:53:16 AM
Well, the only disadvantage that I can see is when everybody abandons bitcoin, then your possessions are only good as a leaf. If you have watched the movie THE NERVE, you'll understand what am I talkin about.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are the Green Days back ? on: June 04, 2018, 06:45:43 AM
Since the BER months are coming, we may expect a good pump in bitcoins. However, August seems to be a ghost month for some Asians. We can expect a little dip before the bear begins.
106  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Amazon Integrate Bitcoin? on: June 04, 2018, 06:43:27 AM
That totally depends on the end users; I bet once bitcoin has been used by the majority, Amazon will surely accept it as payment.
107  Economy / Economics / Re: Cost of Living Comparison on: June 04, 2018, 12:33:35 AM
Cost of living is something everyone should consider and even more so for those of us who can make our living anywhere in the world, but there is more to life than just cost of living, you also have to consider how happy you will be in a certain place. If we look at the countries with the highest happiness ratings we'll often find that they are also among the happiest countries.

You nailed it, my friend! Life is not only about saving money, getting rich, and getting out of the rat race... One has to consider happiness too. In fact, the reason why that so called "cost-of-living" is high in a certain region is because many people wants to habitate there.

The more the people wants to live in a certain soil, the higher it bids the value... therefore, if the cost of rent is high then expect the goods and products to be pricey as well. - That directly translates the cost of living.

Therefore, it's either you create happiness in rural, or sacrifice some cash to live urban. You decide.
108  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make this world economically better? on: June 04, 2018, 12:23:53 AM
The society is divided into haves and haves not, poor people are getting more poorer and rich people are getting more richer, Value of money is decreasing and inflation is increasing, Many people around the globe suffer death mostly Africa and asia because hunger and unable to fulfill basic human needs.
What actions should governments need to take and how individuals can contribute?

Geez! you should have figured that out by the time you reached the age of 19... here is the deal, media is very good at promoting brands that are overpriced, not to mention Apple Inc, McDonalds, Starbucks, and etc...

Now, these brands are sucking the money out of you; society... and the sad part is you give it to them willingly.

Therefore, if you want to keep the economy balanced, don't buy the "brands", support your local entrepreneurs, stop buying outside your region. This would definitely handle your case.

However, I am just an anonymous guy with a shitty opinion. ha ha ha!
109  Economy / Economics / Re: I almost lost my rock solid regular job because of crypto on: June 04, 2018, 12:17:10 AM
Like the title says, i almost lost my regular job as a software developer today when my boss reviewed my work. The job has been able to economically provide a comfortable life for me and losing it would really be a big hit to my income. I almost lost it because i spent so much time learning about everything crypto (mining, trading, bounties, etc.).

Has anyone else experienced this? I just feel pretty lucky I was given another chance and want to remind other people that having a regular job is much better than relying on the volatility of cryptocurrencies. Make sure you prioritize your work!

Good for you because you had just ALMOST lost it, not like me, because I did... I used to be a voice call quality analyst but since I spend too much time in bitcoin at the office, I had lost focus in what I have been doing; eventually, I left the job to trade full time.
110  Economy / Economics / Re: A cryptocurrency with volatility can't be used as money on: June 02, 2018, 07:48:08 AM
You might be correct for now, but as soon as the global populace starts using it religiously - you will see the pumps and dumps vanish, and market trades (pairing with fiat) will vanish too. That will solve your problem, hijo.
111  Other / Off-topic / Re: When the crypt-currency becomes a disease on: June 02, 2018, 07:38:50 AM
Would the dependency on crypto-currencies become a real disease? This is what the Castle Craig Hospital in Scotland thinks. Indeed, several patients would be dependent on the trading of virtual currencies . Doctors compare this addiction to gambling dependency. They therefore use the same methods to treat them, thus helping them to take a step back from their behaviour that is not normal.

Addiction is not a disease my friend. The society is dependent to money arent they? would you consider that as an addiction which has to be cured?

Obviously, becoming addicted to trading is never that different from being workaholic.
112  Economy / Economics / Re: With Hackers everywhere, How safe is Cryptocurrency? on: June 01, 2018, 02:04:03 PM
Its no longer news that an ICO in Japan has lost over $400 million to hackers. They promised to pay back investors who invested in their ICO. Thsi is a huge loss. After I read that news, I began to wonder. How safe is Bitcoin and Other altcoins? What measures should we take to avoid being hacked ?

Many of us doesn't care about the hackers, we have hardcore ledgers and 2FAs handy to make it a little bit difficult for crackers to crack in.

Anyway, the best practice to avoid these artists is to stay calm and shut your big mouth about how much btc you have. They wouldn't give a damn about you as long as you don't make yourself an open target.

just a few tips from an old man.
113  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason we pay taxes and why we should on: June 01, 2018, 01:50:23 PM
If you are walking on the road and enjoying a nice day at the nearby park it's all because someone paid their taxes.
Taxes helps a lot , I have seen people frowning over about how they don't want to pay any taxes and as such.
Government ensures that if you earn over a certain amount then for sure you can contribute in the making of your country. It's only if you are able to.
Taxes helps in :

Paying the salary of government employees
    Making of roads
    Public schools
    Parks run by the government
    Maintenance fees
    Making government hospitals
Making high schools ... The list is endless

We all use all these services at one part of the life or other therefore we can just consider it a little payment for that .
People frown how government is corrupt , it is but not entirely if it was then you woont see new projects coming up in your town or city.

It's just our responsibility to pay taxes, we shouldn't run from it because it will more or so be used for everyone out there in your country , you are indirectly helping others too through paying them , the less advantageous ones.

Also one might say government can print all the money they need , but that's not the case ..the more money a government prints the lower the value of their currency gets which genrally have adverse effects in many sectors.

You have a brain of a sheep. Kudos to you, hijo! As far as I can recall, somewhere in America there are people who were called mohawks, and fuck they didn't need the government at all. And who the hell needs schools, roads, and etcetera anyway?

These aren't our needs at all... the only reason why you think like that is because you are too scared to be independent.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 17th Million bitcoin has been mined. 4 million left to go. on: June 01, 2018, 01:43:07 PM
is it worth buying at the moment bitcoin?at the real price?
Well my friend, that depends on your strategy or plan. If you are buying bitcoin just to short it then this price is not worth buying. But if you will be using btc as your future currency then buy now.
115  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this basically just another way to make money? on: May 29, 2018, 02:45:25 PM
When reality hits you my friend, you will definitely realize that everything is about making money. Bitcoins, Gold, Silver, Gas and etcetera. Technology is a product of a problem that was recently solved... and the reason they bother to find solution - is money. And hell yeah, blockchain is here to make money.
116  Other / Off-topic / Re: How wars can affect Bitcoin? on: May 29, 2018, 02:36:01 PM
While commenting on one of threads over here. A really interesting thought popped into my mind. What will happen when there will be coming a huge war?
Even a World War III? Will Bitcoin pump or dump? What role will Bitcoin play? We all know the economy and the currencies are very vulnerable in wars.
I would like to hear some interesting thoughts, even maybe some full detailed articles? Anything would be very welcomed.
Are you a meth head? If war happens, nobody will even care about bitcoins anymore except those oligarch that is ready to buy cheap. The real question is - what will happen to bitcoin price AFTER the war?

read the history of banking and you'll be definitely mind flipped.
117  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you approve this strategy: sell alts buy btc? on: May 29, 2018, 02:27:55 PM
I read this article, but I want to see opinions, would you sell all your alts to have only bitcoin now ? I don't think this is recommended

https://cointelegraph.com/news/buy-bitcoin-sell-your-altcoins-says-pioneering-wall-street-blockchain-analyst
You will only do that if you are a fan of fiat. Honestly, that is my opinion. In the first place, you trade bitcoins over altcoins only because you are seeing the value in dollars are increasing... but if you are a hardcore bitcoin enthusiast, you will buy bitcoins during pumps, and buy bags of it during dumps.
118  Economy / Speculation / Re: SELL EVERYTHING!!!!! on: May 29, 2018, 02:23:22 PM
I'm gonna be honest with you all , i have been trading/investing since 2017.

I earned about 110.000 by trading and basically lost it all, i decided to sell the rest and just quit. I'm gonna explain why, this cryptocurrency market
is very manipulative and can easily be controlled and it will never stop. The icos/alts will always keep sucking all the btc cash so it will always be hard for btc to grow and
dominate.

This market is made to make money and profit from noobs it's like a bitconnect scheme. Every dollar that is made by someone, someone will lose money. Every dollar that
is made in this system will be sold to fiat and if there is low btc buy power it will mean that btc will only keep going down. This market is basically made to make
money from new users like a scheme. For example can you actually believe that if you would've put 10k usd into bitconnect you would have a monthly return of about 4500
every month by lending? This is unbelievably high which again means for every btc/dollar you lend out into this cryptocurrency system = someone will lose money that's
the main reason this market won't be there for long. Because it's basically a pyramid scheme.

Not a pyramid scheme eh, actually, it already came out from your mouth that we make money out of noobs... and hell yeah that is what this is all about. Crypto is for nerds, geeks, and the techies. so why in the hell should we care about greedy asses joining in and loses all? it's their fault for not believing when the price was cheap..
119  Economy / Economics / Re: DO NOT SELL! JUST HODL - You've not loss any money if you haven't sold. on: May 29, 2018, 02:16:54 PM
So, you wanna know what is really happening? the US government are taxing those who are in possesion of bitcoins and they are being obliged to file before the first week of June. Now, here is the deal: if they appear to have no bitcoins by June, they would only be taxed for what they have earned prior. But if they have bitcoins, there will be a different computation for their taxes... that definitely caused a mass selling. Now do the math.
120  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the future of virtual currency like bitcoin ? on: May 28, 2018, 11:11:39 PM
With evolving technologies and people becoming dependent to internet, it is never far from reality for tokens to become globally mainstream anytime soon. The deciding factors are the merchants and the end users, the government cannot do anything about it.
