The smallest club in London will never sing the CL winning anthem. I hope Conte leads you to some silverware! He's a winner; the club should support him and give him time to integrate the players.

That may be so but at least if and when we do win something,,, the achievement will be so much sweeter to savor for club and for fans Smiley

I believe there is a huge difference in the kinds of celebrations you can see on the faces of players and supporters when their club is expected to win things and when their club is not.

Thank you Smiley

Hahaha. Private user “Winner” keeps pushing him to bet more as a reason of his complaints. I guess?

Btw today Daily Wager winner is not Realwinner and I’m surprised that Gennady beat them both on crucial daily wager battle. But we still have 5FS for those who lose votes for today. You can claim it on Dig Dig Digger slot game. GL!

Some people are born to complain,,, whatever the reason is. RealWinner probably just feels pressured and it affects everyone. So glad o see Gennady beating them both,,, very healthy to have this type of competition. If I am not mistaken he did 18 BTC wager right?

Anyway. Thank you for the info 5 FS is still 5 FS Smiley
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: July 17, 2022, 08:05:30 AM
^

Funny as it may sound, I think I prefer the UCL pool to perhaps La Liga and If not Serie A, over the course of the season sometimes it's get either boring and/or exhausting for a few rounds regardless of my position on the table, probably due being almost a weekly thing mixed with couple of other commitments, but the I find the UCL lest stressful since almost all games are played at the same time in two days and it's done and over with until another fortnight.
It is not funny at all, Champions League is actually my favorite competition and only Premier League can rival it. I believe we had lower participants because we started the pool late last two seasons and it was not clear if it was pay to enter.

That's good to hear from you! So that's CLS63, casperBGD, cryptofrka, me, slaman29 in order of last responses mean at least 5, pretty sure we can convince every past participant to join, if we get at least the La Liga Serie A pool people in, it's good as gold.
I resent that you did not include me in that list, even if I did not already said I am in, and I did, I would expect that you know that I am playing in every available pool, every season Smiley

Buwaytress I did not see my name mentioned here, and I know you dragged me into the pools last season so why did you not pull me this time  Grin

You and Trofo are like the guys I see all the time in the pools, especially Trofo of course because I am trying to follow Italian League the most and he manages that pool plus the weekly predictions. I saw all of the discussions in EPL thread about CL this season,,, so let us hope to see everyone come strong.

But first, I have to gather BTC to play!!
104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 17, 2022, 07:35:02 AM
Sorry for a bit of OT, but where is the old CL pool? I actually think I should have won something in that one Grin

It is never off topic when we are all in the same pools and CL is anyway related to EPL in a kind of way hehe. The topic is here, which I realized also now after visiting it I did not look at it since May! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4919683

I believe all prizes were paid, but go contact buwaytress if he did not pay you Wink

Oh and CL also my favorite. Even if Spurs play in Europa I prefer to watch CL if my team does not play!

105  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom For Bitcoin? on: July 15, 2022, 01:07:10 PM
Bitcoin can still dip further but it's all just a matter of time for it to reach it's ATL price. With TA, it's confirmed that it will dip further, it's probability of hitting $0 is still very possible but Bitcoin have retested back to it's bull run. Experts say it will continue to dip but since the market is unpredictable, one never can tell what's going to happen next in the market. Bitcoin chart is very complicated at the moment but people still know the down road of Bitcoin.

TA does not really confirm anything though right? It gives a lot of clues and a lot of directions but we all have been there, surprised by TA. For example RSI shows we should be going up to above oversold areas for weeks but we are still digging in.

If there is one thing though that I learn when majority of experts say it is going one way, the market tends to delay their prediction by a long time!
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 15, 2022, 11:51:06 AM
Thanks Trofo sorry I forgot about this one when I wrote it the Italian thread and should have seen it more recent bumped,,, great news to hear. I will probably again just do a lot of guessing for Spanish league but same as before I will join everything sponsored by Sportsbet (you never know right).

1.5mbtc is okay. It is definitely a lot of money even at low BTC price for some people, $30 if we can spend it means we are lucky than most of the world BUT I think if you cannot make 1.5 mbtc you should not be gambling Smiley
107  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: July 15, 2022, 11:13:45 AM
I fell for the UCL qualifiers trap, betting on favorites and many of them lost,,,
juts don't bet on events with teams you're not familiar with, skip CL qualifiers and definitely, definitely skip Conference League qualifiers. Premier League and Bundesliga kick off in three weeks, just hodl 😌

Great advice, and do not forget,,, we have 3 pools to compete in too all starting in 3 weeks! English, Spanish and Italian (sort of my new favorite one too). Sportsbet sponsoring all of them and it is something that keeps entertainment for one whole season. Cheaper than paying to watch a movie these days (for 2 plus dinner of course  Grin).

No more loser bets for me until that time.
108  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | 0.28% House edge | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: July 15, 2022, 09:12:21 AM
But PM feature will be available on version 3.0. Hahaha..

Does the name of the slot already announced? Been offline for a while in the chat box and I’m not updated if daily free spin is already distributed to the winner. Anyway, user GOD usually play in the middle of the week and bet insane amount with just a day but the real contender for Realwinner is user Winner which is private user. He usually play on the last days of the week which I will vote on Sunday and Monday for daily winner. He beat real Winner last time on daily wagering contest though.

I did not see anything in chat,,, but that again is because anything that would have been said is gone from my window,,, I believe the last update I saw Admin asking everyone to manually say if they voted and Aria would distribute the freespins.

So now I know who that private user is Wink RealWinner joke complaining about a new private user though  Grin
109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: July 15, 2022, 07:34:29 AM
Hello everyone,,, did you all enjoy the month long plus break and vacation? I am just checking to see if there is going to be a new pool for the next season?

Seeing that there is good reception for EPL pool I thought I would also continue in the other 2 Europe pools. And I would like to pay soon before I lose everything on CL qualifiers ulp!
110  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: July 14, 2022, 11:52:52 AM
Some CL qualifiers on tonight, not the highest quality teams but always an opportunity to make some money gambling. Maybe a cheeky Steve style big accumulator Cheesy
I am skipping this first rounds of CL qualifications with most of the teams I don't know, but I found other matches to bet with good results Wink
Teams are not yet ready for full matches and some didn't complete their preparations for new season so we can expect surprising results.

Don't forget to check big match starting soon in Copa do Brasil 1/8 finals Palmeiras vs Sao Paulo, first leg was finished by Sao Paulo win and I think odds are juicy for X2 or some asian handicap.
I don't think Sao Paulo will lose, but in worst case scenario it can be with one goal difference.

Anything can happen there with the odds looking so juicy it could feel like a trap actually,,,and so far most of the big teams already made it to the last 8 (Flamengo, Fortaleza, Corinthians) so it is as expected at the moment.

I fell for the UCL qualifiers trap, betting on favorites and many of them lost,,, Bodo/Glimt for example. I feel like after their performance against Roma now they are weirdly having low odds.
111  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | 0.28% House edge | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: July 14, 2022, 11:04:11 AM
Agreed, They usually making such short notice announcement on chat box which is crucial to received rewards. I didn't claim my free spin because I thought that it will be automatically credited to my balance after the contest but I can't find any info on what slot is the game for free spin until I browse the comment here of @dimon about additional requirements to received bonus.

They should fix this on the upcoming upgrade and start making social media channels for announcements.

I guess it is all coming with 3.0 but a simple inbox to read messages while we slept should be an easy fix,,, anyway nice to see my voted guy won but I guess that is not such a surprise  Grin Well done AGAIN RealWinner for taking the daily wager.

I wonder where GOD went to? That guy will provide a good challenge that is for sure.
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: July 14, 2022, 09:12:27 AM
@leea-1334 A huge congratulations to you on the win for the weekly competition in the UFC!

Thank you,,, and here it is all wasted on stupid dumb football games  Grin

The funny thing actually is the second bet was settled yesterday and the Bodo/Glimt match was voided, I was not sure of the reason why. And I got 1.06 mbtc. But today it was settled again and of course they lost, so I got nothing. It was very fun however Smiley

113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: July 14, 2022, 07:20:46 AM
Still, I would like to see him get one more big fight, maybe with different rules like last man standing submission/KO only. Do they have such events?

I think nowadays all the MMA fights are 3*5min or 5*5min with standard rules. Back in the beginning of 2000, and outside the US (first UFC events has sort of a 30 or 35min rounds), there were MMA tournaments, when fighters needed to win 3 fight during one evening to take the prize. Or in Japan there were MMA fights with rules, when no ground game is allowed in first round, and starting from second round you can fight what ever you want (I think if was made to make fights last longer and be more entertaining).

I think that must have been when I first started watching because I do somehow have a memory of those fights taking a lot of time and lasting much much longer. But I think the modern version is more fun, faster as a result and no protection on those who like to take the fights longer,,, though at the same time you do miss sitting down and watching a very long fight.

Thank you for all your answers and help everyone,,, much appreciated.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Saylor thinks ETH post-merge on Proof-of-Stake is a security. on: July 14, 2022, 05:59:41 AM
Saylor is just using an old argument among many many old arguments of Proof of Stake.

I am not a fan,,, I like PoW and the arguments of energy are mostly invalid,,, because they always ignored the benefits and the cost of other existing systems. But this does not automatically make me a fan of Saylor.

116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum’s failure to close above $1.3K on: July 13, 2022, 11:50:19 AM
And it only gets worse now,,, I actually thought ETH would not follow Bitcoin down this weekend too, specifically because of the successful testnet merge where everything really seemed to go according to plan.
That certainly I won't believe, always and I think it was forever to see altcoins will follow the trend of Bitcoin and ETH have no excuse from that.
It could be hard for the testnet to go successful this time, as if they want then they have to move it during the bull season as the chance is higher than of these days.

We can't underestimate the market, the bear still has influence and is hard to defeat. Yet, we are still hopeful for the growing success of ETH someday, we just need the market to recover, not this testnet, etc.

Well, even Satoshi himself IIRC thought that in 10 years time (which is about now) that some other type of blockchain would break away and maybe even displace Bitcoin, so in this scenario he thought it was possible that some other alt would achieve a different sort of idea. Only ETH to me is the one coming close to that but you're right, not now and not for a long time.
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: July 13, 2022, 11:04:36 AM
Nicer?! Anyone can pretend to be nice.
Check out his twitter account and all the stupid things he is saying all the time when he gets drunk or on drugs.
Back to his fighting skills, he lost most of his recent fights, except win against washed up old Donald Cerrone who has even worse record and he is now retired.

Haha ya ok I took a quick look and he writes like a teenager who wants attention,,, but I bet you most of those tweets are not even done by himself but by his social account manager. That is how it works these days right?

Still, I would like to see him get one more big fight, maybe with different rules like last man standing submission/KO only. Do they have such events?
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Uncertainty in the NFT market on: July 13, 2022, 09:09:48 AM
Not really if I am being honest the scammers have not gotten smarter, they use the very same ideas in 2016 and 2017, talk about hype, hire influencers, open groups, create fomo. New tech, new tokens, but the same sales tactics are in use and the people who fall for them, surprise! Are also the same type of people.

Trends do not change the tactics,,, and some people refuse to learn lessons.
I'm not interested in NFTs at all. I don't even own an NFT to buy, I have an NFT just a gift from one of the Exchanges. Even now it is worthless.   From the beginning, I knew that NFT is very useful for art workers, but to trade for profit is very difficult.  Some nft cases have bad endings. For those who bought NFTs during the Hype, they are currently struggling to resell. Until recently even I hadn't touched on NFTs at all, I thought it was just a hype that would quickly end unlike coin tokens that have utility.

Same here,,, I actually have 2 NFTs that were gifted, all I had to do was claim. I know they are shit,,, I know they are worthless and even if I sell now I can get a few dollars minus gas fees but it is all a trick to get you to think there is such a thing as free money.

Sounds familiar right? Like I said, just like in the good old ICO days.
119  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | 0.28% House edge | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: July 13, 2022, 06:43:36 AM
Thanks for the info on needing to say YES in chatbox, so I think I said YES but I honestly cannot remember, and that again is the same problem I have talked about before. We need a player inbox or important announcements inbox that Admin can say and people who are not online can read it later on.

I mean seriously,,, we all have a life and cannot just live on the chat forever right? Smiley
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum’s failure to close above $1.3K on: July 12, 2022, 11:46:46 AM
And it only gets worse now,,, I actually thought ETH would not follow Bitcoin down this weekend too, specifically because of the successful testnet merge where everything really seemed to go according to plan.
yeah don't underestimate how closely related both btc and eth are in terms of price movemements, especially in a bear market when selling pressure is massive and there's nothing to look forward to other than seeing Btc going up so that the market follows that trend.
Hopefully things will change in the next couple of months for ETH (end of Q3-beginning of Q4) as we get closer to the last merge. For now, either accumulate during this downtrend or let the market do its thing and don't worry about the short-term

I know it has always been close,,, which crypto is not close to Bitcoin anyway right? But at the same time, Ethereum has been doing differently in terms of the percentage losses/gains (in general down is down and up is up but not as much as Bitcoin). The problem is the ETH merge is supposed to nullify the losses but it does not look that way. As you said though, nothing to worry about in the short term. Ethereum knew it was going to be a long time to go.
