1001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [POOL] -- Coinotron - BTC, SC, LTC, LQC - DGM in BTC pool on: March 16, 2012, 06:13:31 PM
I apologize for any inconvenience caused by this long outage. I applied colbee's fixes and at the moment LTC pool is up and running.

g2x3k once again thanks for your help Smiley

1002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Ann] COINOTRON POOL - new reward system - DGM on: March 12, 2012, 03:15:26 PM

DGM reward system in BTC pool !

We are changing our BTC payout algorithm to Meni Rosenfeld's Double Geometric Method. This method has been designed to limit reward variance and is hopping-proof. Details about DGM you can find here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=39497.0
We chose following values for DGM parameters:
 f = -1
c = 0.5
o = 0.25
For next 10 rounds BTC mining fees will be reduced to 0%

Thanks for the notice!  Now there are sooo many reasons to mine coinotron!  Merged mining right? Wink  Switched in mid round, right?

Heh, DGM will be enabled in next round. Current round is proportional.
And to clarify merged mining issue: we don't plan to introduce it.

1005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COINOTRON POOL - SC, BTC, LTC and now new LQC on: January 22, 2012, 07:27:56 PM
Are you going to implement merged mining?  Why did I give you my NMC address?

I mine and mako no NMC, you Icehole! Farking Bastage...you giva me diarrhea ~ Roman Moroni (no seriousness intended  Wink)

We will not implement mm for NMC too. Smiley
1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COINOTRON POOL - SC, BTC, LTC and now new LQC on: January 22, 2012, 12:58:22 PM
On 2012-01-20 we have experimentally introduced to our pool new coin - LQC.
After 1 day LQC subpool hashrate reached 1 Mh/s !

1007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [17 GH] COINOTRON, SolidCoin, LiteCoin, btc, ixc on: January 22, 2012, 12:53:19 PM
Due to low interest of miners we decided to close IXC and I0C sub-pools.
We will not offer merged mining for those coins.
Please withdraw your coins until 2012-01-31.

After 24 hour LQC pool reached 1.1 Mh/s !
It is more than 10% of LQC network Smiley
1010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW] -- LQC coins -- Coinotron pool on: January 20, 2012, 08:07:33 PM
During first 4 hours pool solved 16 blocks !!!
LQC payouts have been tested and are available now.
1011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [RELEASE] Liquidcoin (Speculation based) on: January 20, 2012, 07:51:27 PM
LQC mining on www.coinotron.com activated.
1012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW] LQC coins in Coinotron pool on: January 20, 2012, 03:45:14 PM
Today we have experimentally introduced to our pool new coin - LQC.
You can use the same miner program as for LTC.

1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [POOL] BTC, SC, LTC, I0C, IXC - Coinotron pool on: December 30, 2011, 11:37:20 AM
Regarding ixc, i0c merged mining - There is a lot of work to do in pool engine to implement that. I was planning to implement Vinced's proxy functionality directly in pool. And current i0c exchange rates are not very promising. I think I will put mm on hold for one week or two.

Devcoin - probably yes, but not until we see more trading activity.
1014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SC, LTC, I0C, IXC - Coinotron pool on: December 28, 2011, 11:11:49 AM
We refreshed calculations of profitability factors available on our website.
- added i0c and ixc.
- LTC profitability is now based on new pooler's miner

1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SC, LTC, I0C, IXC - Coinotron pool on: December 19, 2011, 04:43:43 PM
Today we have updated:
i0coin client to version v32508,
ixcoin client to version 0.3.24.3 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=54977.0

We are also starting tests of merged mining BTC/IXC/I0C.
1016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What pools will offer merged-mining with I0Coin? on: December 19, 2011, 09:22:57 AM
For example existing version of i0coin client has weired tendency to crash our pool every 2-3 days. I don't have time and resources to debug i0coind.exe.
Are you running any custom patches? What OS? The i0coind on my linux server running on my pool has never crashed or hung.

Currently I'm using yours previous version. Windows Server 2008. Thought I had similar crashes when I used "original" i0coind version. ( without fixes). Also I redownloaded blockchain. So I see only 2 possible sources of problem pool's wallet and i0coind. I must add that I'm running on the same server ixcoind. It is version compiled on August 31. It has worked without any crashes since then.
1017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What pools will offer merged-mining with I0Coin? on: December 18, 2011, 08:44:24 PM
Looks like ixcoin is going to merge mine soon too.  bitparking said they will merge mine.  coinotron, said he would, but also said he would not if there was not interest.  If they don't merge mine, I suppose the pool is going to merge mine anyways and take all the extra coins.

If we decide not to implement mm it will be because of instability of mm proxy or other performance related issues. For example existing version of i0coin client has weired tendency to crash our pool every 2-3 days. I don't have time and resources to debug i0coind.exe. If we find that there is too much problems with mm btc + i0c we simply won't introduce it.
1018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [21 GH] COINOTRON, SolidCoin, LiteCoin, btc, ixc on: December 16, 2011, 09:24:26 AM
Is Coinotron going to offer merged-mining for I0Coin?  Block 160K is coming up really fast...

I'm not sure yet.
1019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [21 GH] COINOTRON, SolidCoin, LiteCoin, btc, ixc on: December 16, 2011, 09:23:16 AM
downtime?

Yes, there were issues with i0coin client. I took some measures to prevent it happening in the future
1020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which CPU blockchain should I mine, and why? on: December 16, 2011, 09:20:20 AM

I've done a bunch of reading here, but am having trouble seeing a clear winner...

If you are mining for profit take a look at Coinotron's profitability charts: www.coinotron.com . Solidcoin is clear winner at the moment. BTW, I wonder why no one mentioned it before. Wink
If you are looking for "strong" community support choose LTC or SC.
If you are not sure - diversify: 50% LTC, 50% SC.
You can mine both in Coinotron.

PS
If you want some fun try I0coin Tongue
