1001  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: GPU usage drops to 0% on 6970 on: May 22, 2013, 03:39:44 AM
Are you overclocking the cards?
1002  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: AMD Drivers fail on: May 22, 2013, 03:26:09 AM
It shouldn't be the risers.  Unless the risers have molex attached do them but you don't have the molex plugged in.
1003  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Thermaltake Black Widow 850W PSU - barely used on: May 22, 2013, 03:07:09 AM
I recently bought a PSU from mdude and the transaction went very well.  We didn't use escrow and he didn't make any attempt to run away with my money or anything  Grin
1004  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: mining with a 5850 & 7950 in the same windows OS rig on: May 22, 2013, 02:59:45 AM
I recently put a 7790 in a machine with a 6670. The 13.4 and 13.5 drivers saw all the cards but if I went to any prior drivers the 7790 would not be seen. I'm using the 13.5 beta 2 drivers right now. I think the sdk in them is 2.8?

Also some other tests I just got done with. gpu0=hd7790, gpu1=hd6670

cgminer.exe -o http://pit.deepbit.net:8332 -u homer -p simpson -k diablo
getwork pool NOT stratum (I suspected I was having issues with stratum)

1.6.2 unable to read kernel files?
2.0.2 ^^^
2.3.2 connect to pool then crash
2.6.4 works! int6 (diablo 279/105) gpu1 hw error
2.7.7 works! int6 (diablo 276/106) gpu1 hw error
2.8.3 works! int6 (diablo 275/106) gpu1 hw error
2.8.7 works! int6 (diablo 276/106) gpu1 hw error
2.9.4 works! int6 (diablo 275/106) gpu1 hw error
3.1.0 works! int6 (diablo 275/106)
3.1.1 connect to pool then crash

----------

cgminer.exe -o http://127.0.0.1:10332 -u homer -p simpson --scrypt --thread-concurrency 4096 --worksize 64 -I 6
Was having more issues with scrypt than with the bitcoin mining.

1.6.2 no scrypt support
2.0.2 ^^^
2.3.2 ^^^
2.6.4 connect to pool then crash
2.7.7 ^^^
2.8.3 ^^^
2.8.7 connect odd behavoir
2.9.4 ^^^
3.1.0 connect odd behavoir, kinda works, disables gpu 1
3.1.1 connect to pool then crash

I have 7970's and 6950's in the same rig.  I can give you my driver versions and everything if you are interested.  That might get your 7xxx series and 6xxx series cards to work together.

Wait does the ^^^ mean that it works?

1005  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What's behind the mining? Where is all that hashing power used? on: May 22, 2013, 02:50:50 AM
we are decrypting hashs for the NSA.. its cheaper for us to do it..

It'd actually be incredibly expensive if that were the case. To the tune of $450,000 per day ($164,250,000/yr). Just about any other way would be cheaper.

What do you mean?  Electricity costs or bitcoins produced?
1006  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC v LTC on: May 21, 2013, 10:59:16 PM
I like the idea of ltc. faster transactions are definitely going to be important in the future for real world use. when paying for your food in a restaurant for example.

We got bbqcoin for that  Wink
1007  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Able to convert server psu for mining purposes? on: May 21, 2013, 10:50:50 PM
If you do it show us how

Edit:  Search on google found a bunch of RC groups using these supplies.  Other thread some guy got his server PSU to work for ATX spec.
1008  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 8970M? on: May 21, 2013, 10:32:46 PM
It has all of the same specs as a 7970m, with the exception of a core clock boost of 50MHz.
Doesn't matter actually, look for instance in smartphones same CPU doesn't perform the same always does it. Software and other stuff..

Software only goes so far.  Although the new architecture may be more efficient, it would be foolish to assume that the performance of a 8970m will crush that of a 7970m.
1009  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Cheap mining GPU's suggestions? on: May 21, 2013, 06:44:21 PM
Just look for a 5850 or 5830 in the marketplace or on ebay.
1010  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fair play bitcoin game - Make some BTC easily on: May 21, 2013, 06:18:15 PM
STAY AWAY FROM ALL GAMBLING SITES U WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY
Because you lost your money in gambling site(s)  - It's only bad luck. Other people can have more luck  Smiley

By that logic you should not be telling everyone that they will make money off of this game  Tongue

1012  Economy / Computer hardware / WTS Corsair PSU - Still for sale on: May 21, 2013, 03:44:01 AM
I have a 500w CX500 Corsair PSU for sale.  It is about 1 month old and I no longer need it.  PM me an offer.

As far as payment, I will accept BTC or LTC.  It is probably going to be cheap so I would prefer if you sent me payment first (I have done other deals for ~$100 without escrow) or if you wish we can use escrow.
1013  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 4 open case mining rigs on: May 21, 2013, 02:28:36 AM
Would you be willing to part these rigs out?
1014  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Visiontek Radeon 6950 1gb really dead on: May 21, 2013, 02:20:17 AM
I've been using these cards for a while now and they have been running perfectly

Guess you got a bad one.

As for not getting multiple cards to work together, isn't that more of a driver/possibly motherboard thing?
1015  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: will 1200 watts run it? on: May 21, 2013, 01:53:20 AM
You should be able to do it with no issues at all.  Is this solely a mining rig or will you be using it for other stuff too?
1016  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Where can I buy mining equipment for BTC? on: May 21, 2013, 12:36:49 AM
Looks pretty suspect.

Is this another "preorder" site?

I saw a preorder button.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but you can go to Bitspend.net and they will buy you stuff off of newegg or amazon if you give them bitcoin. Bitcoinstore is great though so only use bitspend if bitcoinstore doesn't have an item or something.
1017  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Sell me your rig with shipping to Bosnia on: May 21, 2013, 12:16:19 AM
Shipping to Bosnia = 600 - 700$ btw

 Shocked damn.
1018  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Order Hardware from Amazon - 10% Discount on: May 20, 2013, 11:49:50 PM
Shipped an item worth $240 to a member, $101 left

Which memeber? Can we get a confirmation?
1019  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Negative balance for Satoshi Dice address? on: May 19, 2013, 09:02:39 PM
Hmm, maybe some kind of bug in the wallet display from blockchain?
Strange indeed.

Edit: Now it's not negative anymore.

Still negative for me.  Just a bug though.
1020  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 6990s on: May 19, 2013, 04:38:43 PM
^ The intensity was just turned down to 6. Makes a huge difference even at the same clocks.

I can't believe I missed that...
