Better?

I don't like to be the one to break this to you, but you're never going to be better. But that's just the nature of things. Some win gold and some come last.

Sounds like someone is insecure and overcompensating.

Sounds like someone doesn't know their memes.

You are a genitalman and a scholar. Cheers.

Had no idea he was so well-endowed! Shocked

yes, but you conspicuously didn't specify what shitcoin currency....

lol was hoping it would take longer for somebody to ask for the denomination (potatocoins).
1005  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 17, 2018, 09:05:25 PM
Your avatar is literally the altcoin of hats.

I'll start its pump by bidding 5 million for it.
1006  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 16, 2018, 11:42:20 PM
That (Dig Bicks) is nonsense. How much would have cost 1 million BTC right after satoshi *supposedly* mined them? Maybe a few thousands? That would be the advantage he got even if he had premined them.... which he didn't btw.

Not even that. When New Liberty opened in October 2009, exchange rate was 0.00076 USD/1 BTC. Satoshi's stack was a few hundred at most.

Even the stock hardware is full of secrets and holes, watch this video.....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrksBdWcZgQ&t=403s

Have you seen his video attacking System Management Mode using the APIC? Genius. It's also unsettling how vast and disconnected the x86 processor has become. It feels like a decaying city in there.
1008  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 15, 2018, 11:23:43 PM
This part is nonsense. They didn't "have to buy 1M bitcoins" because to do market manipulation you only need enough to create movements in the right direction. Ever noticed how Bitstamp always follows and never leads ? (At least I've never seen Bitstamp lead a bullrun, it constantly has to be "dragged out of bed" by Bitfinex).

Manipulators use momentum ignition, but you need the demand there in the first place for it to work. You can't simply prop up a market that doesn't want to move in that direction because you'll quickly find yourself buying up significant chunks of the supply e.g. Bitmain and BCH.

Given that we have this record of 1M being falsely bought, and they have bought less, I consider the importance of Tether to be overblown and calling it entirely responsible for the rise to be fearmongering.
1009  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 15, 2018, 07:53:52 PM
4. There are some well researched articles showing that the Bitfinex/USD Tether operation has essentially been responsible for the ENTIRE price rise in bitcoin right from $180 to where we are today

Yeah right. Even if you believe that Willy Bot was ENTIRELY responsible for the $1160 bubble, it had to buy 1M bitcoins. How many bitcoins has Tether bought even if you believe that not a single cent backs it? Yet it is responsible for an even greater relative increase? I'm no fan of Tether, but that sounds like "well-researched", class-A bullshit.

For the last 4 years we had 100 fold increase between the lowest point and the ATH in 2017. It is logical that the same increase will happen in a similar time frame unless the mass adoption is near completition.

How can you assume that there will be a repeat of the 100x, but not assume that there will be a repeat of the 0.15x?

It'll quite possibly be neither btw.

In other words you believe the price will stay below 3K with probability 15% and below 5K with 30% probability for the next 3 years? I wouldn't give that much - 1-2% tops.

I don't believe he said price would stay under, just that it could be that price at point x. It's also 8-15% and 17-30% respectively.
1011  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 13, 2018, 06:20:46 PM

This pattern seems reasonable to me, although I would hope 2021 would have higher prices than they predict. Next year sub $3k most likely. My prediction is based on the last halvings, not sure what those who expect the bull to pick up later this year are doing other than hoping.
https://longforecast.com/bitcoin-price-predictions-2017-2018-2019-btc-to-usd

One should be mindful that the effect of the halving halves each time. We're going from a thud to a tinkle. When the reward is fractions of a bitcoin, who thinks the halving will still be driving price?
1012  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 12, 2018, 12:35:54 AM
The real loser was someone who could have bought at $58, but was too busy calling Bitcoin dead back then to realise. So wrong, for so long.

What a total (demonstrably stupid) prick.

Nouriel's most remarkable talent is erasing from his memory every mistake he's ever made. What a feat!

A 310 bitcoin sale is like throwing a hotdog down a hallway. It wouldn’t touch the sides.

I think the recommendation is kegel exercise. You could try pumping your hotdog also.

Dont' worry.

EVERYBODY PANIC!!!!

Bitcoin hasn't been in the bear mode for 4 years straight and will never be. Very strange decision to capitulate now I should say... but what are the better investment options you mentioned? Shitcoins? Real estate?  Grin

Wow, that's some optimism right there. A four-year bear market becomes inevitable eventually. When it arrives, hopefully we see it as a house-tidying exercise to "shake the weak monkeys out of the branches" (or whatever silly colloquialism we're using then).

...but the great game isn't over yet imho....

There is no money, only a better game Tongue

Meanwhile, I give up. The show's over for me. This money can be put to better use somewhere. I'm sure of it. Thus and so I'm cashing the fuck out before I do anymore damage to myself. God speed, you lot of sophisticates. Give my regards to mister Toronto.

Cheers and bon voyage or whatever.

Good luck to you in whatever you choose, but the great game isn't over yet imho.

This bug was not only a DoS bug, it was a critical inflation vulnerability:

https://bitcoincore.org/en/2018/09/20/notice/

What worries me is the inescapability of such flaws. As long as development continues and the complexity of a system grows, it's just a matter of time until the next subtle change causes unforeseen and undesirable consequences.

Development can't cease in Bitcoin yet, so the question is how to mitigate those consequences when they arise. Rollbacks of the chain damage the immutability of Bitcoin and potentially leave legitimate users at a loss.

BTW have you guys ever seen this?
https://tucsky.github.io/SignificantTrades/#

It shows large buys and sells live from many exchanges..
It might give you an edge to see a dump coming before it reaches the exchange you are on, or a pump..

Nice tool, cheers!

"The Real Bitcoin"
It's developed my Mircea Popescu and his group. It's a fork of pre-segwit Bitcoin Core. It does not recognize segwit transactions.

One question: where do I sell this crap?  Tongue

LOL Maybe we should all talk about Bitcoin Gold.  Cheesy

Everybody knows in their heart of hearts that Bitcoin Pizza is the true coin. Crusty coinbases oozing with melted cheddar... mmm.

Google's top fraud fighter explains why it's risky to brag about owning bitcoin

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/09/13/google-email-fraud-fighter-mark-risher-how-hackers-target-you.html

I see Google are offering USB U2F keys: good. I also see Google are offering an account recovery form if you lose them: bad.
