Wow, De Gea is really leaving at the end of the month? It has been a 12-year journey here and he must have become a legendary goalkeeper for his team already. To tell the truth I have always admired De Gea and put him among the best goalkeepers of his time. But he is still 32 years old now so I wasn't expecting him to leave already. I thought there would be an agreement and he would play for at least the age of 35 or so. But as far as I have read it is due to the dead-end in the contract negotiations. Because he doesn't want to earn less than 375,000 pounds a week while his team has plans in the opposite direction. In this case I also hope to see Onana there. He must have the most number of saves in the Champions League this season. This guy is just a machine these days and at least he can be a wonderful replacement for de Gea.  |

I agree about Morata. 2 goals in 6 matches is not good statistics at all. This was the semi finals so I would have expected him to be more concentrated on his finishing. Especially the one time he missed the target by a slight margin must be really sad for him. Morata is just an unpredictable player in his whole career actually. Sometimes he has a really solid tournament with national team or in a domestic league but sometimes he is just becoming not useful in the attacking area at all. For example I liked his effort in the last World Cup - 3 goals in 4 matches.
He should find a way to improve his concentration level until the finale. Because all Spain players will need to do that as their opponent is Croatia. Spain should do everything they can to finish the job in regular time otherwise Croatia might end them as well in extra time or by penalty shootouts.

Latvia v Turkey match is a candidate to be an interesting one unlike it looks now. One can just look at the odds, see the huge gap and just say that Turkey would play dominant and win. But when it comes to the matches between these two teams it hasn't been that simple so far. Because their head-to-head match history is full of draws and a win for each team - 7 matches including a friendly. The scenario might even be the same as the last match between them in the World Cup 2022 qualifiers.
Turkey would have the most ball possession but they waste countless chances while they can beat Latvia by a huge score gap. There is a tie in the match but in the last moments we see a life saving goal for Turkey to win. This is just a prediction. If this doesn't happen then I expect a big win by Turkey nothing less.

Bellingham is joining Real Madrid by the end of this month officially. This was one of the most profitable deals for Dortmund in the recent years though. In this way they can still reach their main target for a season even if they don't make it to the Bundesliga title. This target is to make a big profit in sales of talented young players such as Bellingham. Despite doing this the ending of this season wouldn't be forgotten too easily in my opinion. Because they literally handed over the title to Bayern Munich despite having a comfortable match on paper.
Fans and the board should still be happy with Terzic's work in general. This was really one of the closest seasons to the title for them.

Spain has had most of the opportunity in this second half, controlling the ball well and winning more than 60% of the possession, what has just been lacking in their game is the goal scoring touch which their striker Morata has not been able to provide. Morata to be was holding on the ball too much when he would have either passed or shoot. Joselu replaces Morata and he scores a very important goal from Rodri's shot that got deflected to him in a few minutes of getting in.
Spain has very good control of this game since the second half, Rodri has been excellent! it will not be a difficult work for them to control the game to the end and secure their lead.
Italy looked like they would have won, had one beautiful goal ruled out for offside, but Italy have been off in this second half and have just been struggling to hang on.
Croatia will face Spain in the finals.
Yes this was the case in the second half but I was actually waiting for this to happen. Because there was a clear superiority by Spain over Italy so it was the best for Italy to be just patient and focus on their defending. It is inevitable that your opponent starts creating even more dangerous attacks in this case. Italy still did a really good work by keeping the score at 1-1 until the last minutes. But that upsetting goal by Joselu came in these minutes and it was devastating for Italy. There wasn't much time left for an answer and Spain managed to secure the win. It is good for them because if we we watched extra time then it might have been for the benefit of Italy. Joselu was like a savior of his team because he scored only 4 minutes after Morata was replaced by him.  |

 Bayern Munich are getting really close to agreeing on personal terms with Kim Min-jae. The player is also eager to sign for them so the only thing left is to have an agreement on a transfer fee with Napoli. The release clause which Fabrizio Romano wrote about is said to be around 50 million euros. I think it would be the best for Bayern Munich to be patient until July to sign him for a much better price. Because his market price is 60 million and I don't think Napoli would drop down from that until the release clause becomes active. It feels like Kim will compete with Upamecano the most and he has a serious potential to capture his place in the starting eleven. Because Upamecano has been making some important mistakes in defense lately. de Ligt has been much better than him. |

Juventus don't seem like they are thinking of sacking Allegri after this kind of a season. I know that points deduction decision killed their chance of making it to the Champions League group stage. But I just can't see the big picture that simple. Because Juventus couldn't play consistent as a team mostly. They periodically started a good form maybe but these times didn't last very long. If they had a consistency similar to Atletico Madrid in the La Liga earlier then even this punishment wouldn't have caused them to be out of top 4.
Juventus need some change about the management style in my opinion. Allegri has won the Serie A titles 5 times in a row of course and he has my big respect. But I think the same strategies aren't enough to fight for the title to the end now.

PSG is currently at third with 9.90 while Barca is @11.90 Maybe it's too early to bet since there's still the transfer window but probably not bad putting some money on your favorite team if odds are over 10. It is a bit odd to see these odds already now. But anyway I'm not surprised to see Manchester City this much favourite for the title again. It isn't an easy task to get a back-to-back win in the Champions League. Real Madrid are the only team that have done it since 2000's - they won it 3 times in a row with Zidane's management. Before Real Madrid the last time this happened was in the 1988/1989 and 1989/1990 seasons - Milan. Manchester City will need to keep their mental really strong. They haven't been showing an impressive performance in the Champions League finals they have qualified for. If they make it to this stage again next season then Guardiola will need to keep his players much more concentrated on playing an effective game. |

Arsenal are reported to be interested in Kai Havertz who has two years left on his contract at Chelsea [1]. Recently Real Madrid also were reported to be interested in Havertz but seems to have backed off after Chelsea tag on Havertz of 75-80m Euro around. 75m Euro was also reported to Arsenal and Arsenal also seems to uninterested in paying that much. But from Chelsea point of view, it is understandable given the price they paid to get Havertz from Leverkusen.

Croatia can't apply exactly what they have in their mind. They couldn't keep their opponent away from scoring a goal for a long time period. They were able to hold them off for only 34 minutes. Now Croatia will need to take bigger risks if they desire the final stage in the tournament. They can't continue to play defense-focused from now on as this wouldn't help them about a comeback clearly. Gvardiol's injury is really hitting them hard now in defense line but I'm afraid they have to deal with it.
They need to focus more on creating dangerous attacks in the second half. I don't think Netherlands would take big risks while they have the score advantage. They aren't quite the defensive team though considering what France did to them in a Euro 2024 qualification match. Croatia will need to look for mistakes to take advantage of.

Actually when I checked the 2021/2022 season and made a comparison with this one I saw that they weren't so different from each other. Because the number of goals scored and conceded is nearly the same. Bayern Munich collected 6 more points in the 2021/22 season which was the difference. However there is actually another important difference for Bayern Munich between these two seasons. It is Lewandowski. Because Lewandowski had one third amount the goals his team had back then.
But in this season there wasn't any player at Bayern Munich to take a big responsibility about scoring goals. The total amount was completely distributed among the attackers and midfielders. To tell the truth the times with a complete forward like Lewandowski were much better. The only way to bring back the dominance is to sign such player now in my opinion.

 Yeah the news about Mbappe is official. It is his own words. He doesn't have any intention to go for a contract extension hence his contract is going to expire by next summer. On the other hand PSG have no intention to just release him for free. They would start their attempts about convincing him for even a much bigger contract maybe but I don't think this would change anything. Because PSG have nothing attracting now. They can't even be competitive for a Champions League title. Yeah maybe Mbappe is making hell of a money there but Real Madrid can easily meet his demands as well. Good job by Fenerbahce indeed. They didn't finish the season without a championship at least. Maybe the Turkish Cup isn't important as much as the Turkish Super League. But this was still important for Fenerbahce mentally and for qualifying for the Europa League qualification as well. It is really such a bad situation Turkey are in now about European cup quotas now. As the country coefficient has dropped down to lower levels even the league champion can't qualify for the CL group stage. The only way to join the Europa League is the Turkish Cup title now too.
Jorge Jesus' contract was already ending by the way and he didn't want to continue with Fenerbahce. I don't know if there is any offer for him from other teams but here we are. I think it wasn't nice to talk about this right after winning a title.

Nkuku's deal has been made since last year but as per agreement between leipzig and chelsea if nkuku will able move to the chelsea after it was finishing its season with leipzig.
A huge challenge is waiting for him soon. He has become pochettino's first sign from the market but his deal already made when chelsea was under potter.
I can only put a lot of hope for nkuku to perform so well in EPL next season.
Yeah there was already a verbal agreement on December if I'm not mistaken. Now the agreement has become official and I'm happy for Chelsea side. Because Nkunku is really a prolific striker who can increase the number of goals Chelsea score next season. Scoring was one of the biggest issues for Chelsea in this season. He had an injury period though which lasted for a little over a month this season but this was still no hindrance for him to be quite productive in general of the season. However I still doubt if he is already the answer for the striker issue for Chelsea. Felix is returning to Atletico. Broja isn't impressive at all. Fofana is new around here but not good enough to be in the starting eleven yet. Aubameyang doesn't look like he has a future here anymore. Hence let's see if we will see a big striker move from Chelsea in the coming days. |
