1021  Economy / Gambling / Re: FastBitRoulette.com Under New Ownership! CONTEST TIME!!! on: June 18, 2016, 07:24:42 AM
Just wanted to update that the balance from yesterday was credited to my account and I also tested out a small quick withdrawal which happened really quickly.
1022  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are you comfortable with putting your ID online? on: June 17, 2016, 07:34:36 PM

Oh watermarking. Sure why not. In fact going to full "sego" (steganography) likely would not even be noticed. I like it!
If by steganography, you mean just a small mark so you know which site it went to , then it sort of is pointless, as a reuse won't be noticed, and you cant prove a leak. A watermark will basically not allow a different business to accept the ID.
1023  Economy / Gambling / Re: FastBitRoulette.com Under New Ownership! FREE BTC TO TRY IT (See Thread) on: June 17, 2016, 06:58:12 PM

EDIT: I did look up your username and your account says 0 Balance. Not sure what's going on there. Did you send from your private balance?

Yup the 2 addresses I posted were from the deposit address. Which keeps changing whenever I click on deposit again. But I suppose you should be able to check that out or have a armory or whatever wallet you have set up with those addresses in it with the balance. Like I said, no hurries. Feel free to help once you are back.
1024  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are you comfortable with putting your ID online? on: June 17, 2016, 06:42:08 PM
NO, no I am not.
One of the reasons bitcoin is superior to other systems is the decoupling of identity and wealth. If you were to break into a typical Amazon account you could steal from that person. You would have their personal information and more importantly their credit card number, exp date and CSV number. That is all an attacker needs. If instead you broke into my Overstock.com account you could see some personal information and what I bought, but that is it. Because I only use bitcoin, there is no information that will allow you to take a Satoshi from me.
As far as I'm concerned the days of putting financial and personal information online are over forever.
But I believe a few exchanges would require your ID's because if they want to operate legally(which I am not sure of how many do), then they will need your ID to ensure there is no case of money laundering. This is actually the same for a lot of other online sites involving money(exchanges/ cards/gambling sites etc). How do you register for them without providing your ID if they block your account ?

But surely we need to do some research if that exchanges is legit and registered in government so by that we cam really trust them but if the site that we dont know their credentials and asking for my id? Well big no to that i dont want tp have big problem in the future and better we stay away and lets be more carefull for our self in online world
Good points both!
It is true that I am exposed at an exchange because they must receive and hold fiat until I buy. And there is the paradox of having to give your identity to meet the legal requirements for obtaining *anonymous money.  You could go with a shady exchange that does not do AML/KYC. However then you are putting your trust in criminals. I don't have a great solution for this. I try minimizing the time I keep a balance at an exchange. I send fiat, buy coins, then withdraw ASAP. When it comes to purchases I simply would not patronize most businesses that require my identity to buy something. Sometimes I have had to, for example when buying firearms, but most places I have bought from don't care who you are when paying with cash or bitcoin. I mean, they have been paid. What difference does it make who paid?

*I know, I know.

Actually here is a great solution suggested by some one on my other thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1515454.msg15253358#msg15253358  . This way you can prevent your ID to be misused, but it would still compromise your personal information.
1025  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling site on: June 17, 2016, 06:39:38 PM
What you mean by live cash out or you are looking for some live dealers games, because almost all bitcoin related casinos offering instant withdrawal option.

For sportsbetting live cashout is when in the middle of the game you wish to cash out. Say you were to bet on Over 2.5 goals in a soccer game, and the score is 2-0 in just 10 minutes, so the chances of another goal being scored is very high. Now if you were to bet 5$ on Over 2.5, then you get an option to cash out at say 9$. By doing this the casinos also save on the very likely extra 1 $ loss if the initial odds were 2 multiplier.
1026  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ID proof on Localbitcoins on: June 17, 2016, 06:37:24 PM
Ask them to upload a high definition picture of them holding the ID in HD 300 DPI minimum = very hard to cheat
I have tried that too. But what would be the point of it since I can't legally file a case against them in a different country. Actually they have these other clients, who they ask for photos with ids, so that can be faked too.
1027  Economy / Gambling / Re: FastBitRoulette.com Under New Ownership! FREE BTC TO TRY IT (See Thread) on: June 17, 2016, 06:33:42 PM
Both of the above have been sent out! Good luck!

1028  Economy / Gambling / Re: FastBitRoulette.com Under New Ownership! FREE BTC TO TRY IT (See Thread) on: June 17, 2016, 06:08:59 PM

Did you refresh the website? May have ended up sending to an account that you no longer have access to. Go ahead and give me your private address. I'll send again to that. Thanks
Yup tried refreshing the balance and the page, but didn't show up. Don't see why would the account url change itself, as I believe uses cookies. here is the new address 13NAyX3s7zoKnRDFBDGPaDrWhoNNCDps39
on the website itself.
1029  Economy / Gambling / Re: FastBitRoulette.com Under New Ownership! FREE BTC TO TRY IT (See Thread) on: June 17, 2016, 06:03:56 PM
I am now able to access the site , Here is my deposite address on the web site 1KzWNpvJwhpheqiXCrKGiMoKA6JHyBvhfo , Thank you .

Sent! Thank you!

Thank you, is there some where I can see the pending deposits ? On clicking deposit again, my address changed. And on the pending deposits it currently shows no deposits, while it does on the blockchain. Should I assume it will be auto-added after confirmation on blockchain ?
When it reaches one confirmation it will be posted to your account.
Just so you know it has already reached 4 confirmation about 5-10 minutes back to the address and the balance on the website is still not updated.

1032  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ID proof on Localbitcoins on: June 17, 2016, 05:31:25 PM
I am a trader on localbitcoins, and a lot of people say I sell bitcoins too, for neteller send me their ID proof to verify identity. But whats a safe practice to prevent identity theft ? I recently dealt with a guy who charged back and I later found out that he was using some other guys ID and even had that guy fooled(saying he was using his ID for some purpose).

Whats a good way about in general to send or receive ID cards without falling into identity theft ?

1.Stop trying to trade with methods which are reversible. There is not much you can do regardless of escrow or even real ID proof for that matter.Let's assume some guy provides his real ID proof and it turns out he is from a country miles away from your place. What you could possibly do ? Take legal actions ? Not sure if you can spend time and efforts on it.

I usually don't trade neteller or any reversible method on lbtc. I only buy it when I need Neteller to deposit to sites which accept only neteller at the time. I just happened to be unlucky that it was during my initial testing time, that this happened. However a lot of established people still trade neteller on lbtc and I believe they have had no issues so far.

If you use your ID on any of these online exchanges then everytime they ask you for the id, you should watermark the ID specifying the purpose so it cannot be misused at any other places.

Thanks! Thats actually a pretty smart way to achieve this.
1033  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling site on: June 17, 2016, 05:29:00 PM
There isn't a bitcoin casino or sportsbook with that option currently. Its definitely an appealing option, but I think it requires subscription to very expensive odd makers to implement it.

Thats a good way, but the problem is a lot of these sites, specially gambling ones, are registered in countries or places like Caracus, where anyone can get a license easily. And if you were to send them your ID, and the owners aren't honest, then there isn't much you can do about it.
1036  Economy / Gambling / Re: DecBot - Bitcoin casino bot with 100% winning chance. on: June 17, 2016, 02:27:23 PM
Stop advertising your own scams, and if not , no there are no bots or strategies which will continue giving you winning streaks on a game that is -EV, meaning you just can't win long term because of maths.

1038  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Neteller scammer << \ steal my $$ out account and not give back. on: June 17, 2016, 02:08:59 PM
i do not agree with you..i have been using neteller for 3-4 years now...i have not any problem...just once they froze my account because i crossed yearly limits...but after submitting my documents again they opened my account within one hour..so far i have not any problem with neteller..

Thats the thing about the scammy behavior. So the yearly limits are defined, they have no reason to ban the account. If you cross the yearly limit, what they do is that they will ban your account and freeze the funds. They should just refuse the transaction if it overshoots that limit. And after this, they ask you for the ID hoping you created on a fake account(which a LOT of people do), and when you are unable to present you the ID, they keep the funds.

There are people who are trying to scam on localbitcoins, even with ID verification?

Wow,i`ll never use localbitcoins again  Angry

I have no idea how to resolve this...

Did you lose money?

Yes, I had a Neteller account which got blocked because of this. The seller probably charged back or got money in through a scam. I am still on the stage of getting it resolved.
1040  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to buy BitCoins with credit card or paypal? on: June 17, 2016, 07:59:50 AM
For paypal, the best way to buy or sell it would be using a trusted member on the forum. its harder to buy with paypal, specially because you can charge back, but selling with paypal shouldn't be a problem going through someone trusted.
