I think the price is lower on BitStamp because it is easier to take fiat out of BitStamp than Gox.

I think you should apologise for badmouthing them Bollocks. SEPA either goes through or doesn't. The limit and the size of the queue are known to them. So being professional on their hand would have meant e.g. giving some ETA. Me 11 days and waiting. I have bills to pay from that bank account. This delay is costing me money. If I knew it would have taken so long, I would have gone for international transfer, which for the amount I'm moving also works out cheaper than SEPA. |

Update it again. This morning my SEPA transfer arrived. Less than 48h, as always. Done. But mine didn't, and it's already 6 days. Are you a verified user? Government issued ID with photo + utility Bill. Dude, I don't mean offense but you remind me of the Indian guy from my ISP support telling me on the phone to try and reboot the router. |

Imho Europeans aren't having many issues with buying and selling euro's, at least 2 of the European exchanges clearly have good relations with their banks.

What happened is that someone bought bitcoins in the bitcoin-24 exchange with stolen bank accounts, using the e-banking transfers, in Deutsche Bank I think, and someone must have initiated a lawsuit, probably the hacked account owners.
If I read correctly his incoherent ramblings in German (well fair enough, I bet he's having the worst time of his life), the problem was that Commerzbank noticed that he was doing too many transactions with cash - mostly taking out cash - so they alerted the financial police whatever. Not 100% sure he is in the clear but I remember that he also offered a "withdrawal" service where he sends you cash in a post parcel. Now I like to examine a fact from both sides, so let me try to wear the much hated government's hat for a moment. No account verification needed, withdrawal/deposit with no limits, withdrawal of cash per post... that kinda qualifies as an open door to money laundering, doesn't it? |
