1041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nxt Bounty for working JavaScript code that signs and verifies signatures on: January 22, 2014, 11:24:20 AM
I think Jaguars version is fast in chrome. When testing with firefox, my version ist very fast.

Hello.

If this is the case maybe then each one of you should write in the code or
in the release notes on which platform the code has best performance.

For example a developer could implement all your scripts in his code
and load dynamically a script depending on the user platform to
achieve best performances.

So basically no one is buying NXT anymore not even at 0.000035, just..... Wow.....

I would buy 20000 NXT if you are still interested.
1050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: January 15, 2014, 06:15:57 PM
Can't. Login didn't work. Asked to reset password, still waiting on email. Any chance of having thread on nxtcrypto?

My brain will blow up if I try to memorize one password more.

Just use the same as on nextcoin then Smiley

I don't remember it, my browser does. I can't clear browser cache to get rid of all pronosites I visited coz I won't be able to login nextcoin.org then.

If you used firefox and if you saved the password you could check what the password is under
tools->options-> securiy tab -> saved passwords

Getting rich have nothing to do with being smart or working hard.
It is about having big balls and taking risk.

Bitchin' about how the world is unfair won't change your situation.

I know so what?!
I'm just feed with those that always says
"the devs gona be rich"  and have always something
against the developers.
Why the devs should not be if they have done a good product?!
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Selling 4,000,000.00 NXT at 0.000045BTC each on: January 15, 2014, 10:55:23 AM
Don't get me wrong, this coin could end up doing amazing, all I am saying is that the devs are going to be super rich. Truth in both statements perhaps?

I don't have nothing against that the devs becomes rich.
Devs invested their time and knowledge into a coin, product or software therefore they
should be rewarded. The same is valid for every innovator or worker.

What bother me is that a lot of people so called "investors" here on forum and in
every day life with 0 knowledge and 0 talent for anything are constantly bitching
and getting richer and richer with 0 effort invested!

All they have is money and they think the they deserve more based
on what they already have!

1053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Nxt] Gauging interest on Nxt banknotes on: January 13, 2014, 02:34:53 PM
making any paper objects that purport to have monetary value, would instantly be considered forgery, or counterfieting, i live in the US, it could be differant in other countries.

j

Hello.

You mean is forgery if the paper is made in US?!
What if a paper is made outside US where the law allow this,
in this case this should not be forgery, am I right?!

1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: January 12, 2014, 06:44:52 PM
I know there are a lot of people following this thread who would like to contribute, but with it being so technical, not sure of how they can.

I have an idea that will let pretty much anybody contribute to NXT, but it will require someone to manage a bug tracking system. Not sure what the best bug tracking system is nowadays, but if anybody is familiar enough with it to set one up, that would be fantastic.

This way, people can report API bugs, usability bugs and everything in between.

James

Hello!

maybe you can try this one

1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: January 11, 2014, 01:40:55 PM

My idea is that it should be 1 vote = 1 account.

What is the point of having a voting system , if it is connected to your total coins?
That's even dirtier than the election process in 3rd world failed states.

I could have a million votes with a million coins and still overvote 1 million account holders.
That is not a representative system, definately not a fair system , if voting is to be implemented based on total amount of coins in an account.

I thought also like you but developers pointed out that this is not possible
because otherwise you have to register the identity of each user to avoid
multiple votes from a singe person and this is not possible in decentralized system.
Therefore the idea of voting based on money supply "payed vote" with redistribution of the
funds to low stack accounts sounds logical to me but
also I see in this system there can also be flaws.

1) big stake holder could vote to not redistribute money that has been invested
in voting process or
2) big stake holder can create a lots of fake accounts with small stakes to get back the majority
of the money invested into voting.

Related to 3rd world states:
the situation with elections and voting is not so much different neither in so called
developed countries.
There is a system in place which says 1 person = 1 vote but the problem here
is you have "representatives" of the people which after they come to power
do always the opposite of what they have preached before elections Wink

1056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: January 05, 2014, 11:10:02 AM
So is this what we should do:

TransactionID = sendMoney(..) //deadline 900
TransactionBytes = getTransactionBytes(TransactionID)
broadCastTransaction(TransactionBytes)

Do we do this immediately after sendMoney? Or do we need to wait 1 minute or so?

This is what I send to those who ask how to accept/send nxts:

Here is one of the ways to handle deposits:

1. U generate a string of 50+ chars. This is ur master passphrase, it must be very strong. Let's assume it's "secret".
2. Each time when a user wants to deposit coins u generate a unique ID, u can use user ID if it's not necessary to create a new address for each deposit.
3. U use "secret"+ID to generate a passphrase for the deposit account, for example "secret8475347836".
4. http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=getAccountId&secretPhrase=secret8475347836 will return the corresponding account id. U should give it to the user.
5. Periodically u should check if the address got incoming transactions - http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=getAccountTransactionIds&account=6975576163363041725&timestamp=0
6. For each id in the list u can get transaction info - http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=getTransaction&transaction=83492836836338756
7. When u get enough confirmations (at least 10) u can increase user's balance.

Some very important things:

Blocks can become orphaned and transactions cancelled, so pay attention to timestamp and deadline values of a transaction. Timestamp is measured in seconds since the genesis block (24th of Nov, 2013 12:00:00 UTC). Deadline is measured in minutes. A transaction expires when timestamp + deadline * 60 < current time, it can't be included into a block with timestamp > timestamp (of the transaction) + deadline * 60. Current time can be obtained via http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=getTime
So, to make sure that u won't lose the transaction u should check that a user uses large deadline and doesn't try to cheat u by setting timestamp too far in the past. Also, until a transaction gets 720 confirmations u should check it's still confirmed and if not (due to blockchain reorg), rebroadcast it to the network using http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=broadcastTransaction&transactionBytes=f11234bd3a2fc19c2ba6b7c0d108deea9fcbafda5f544e4648c651ec4ed34ed2. Transaction bytes can be obtained via http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=getTransactionBytes&transaction=83492836836338756.

To send coins back to a user:

Do http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=sendMoney&secretPhrase=123&recipient=2983475693816&amount=5000&fee=1&deadline=32767
This request will return transaction id and transaction bytes. Save the both and periodically check that transaction is still in the blockchain. If it becomes unknown or unconfirmed then rebroadcast it via broadcastTransaction. Once it reaches 720 confirmations u can forget about it.

Hello.

Basically you are suggesting to to create one NXT account for every user that subscribes or uses a service (webservice) application etc...
I' wondering if wouldn't possible and easier to have one single NXT account where users makes their deposits and then check against
the block chain if the transactions have reached 720 confirmations and then add a positive balance to the user's
account?
Is this possible anyway? Can user cheat somehow?!

Thanks.

Ne ja sam odmah dosao na tier 2, stavio sam pravu adresu jer ce je iovako saznati kada budu slali novce a i nevidim problem ostaviti svoju adresu

dakle tier 2 ti trebas staviti adresu i to je to nikakve dokumente netraze

Mislio sam da je kompliciranije!
Hvala ti puno na informacijima.

1058  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Hrvatski on: December 28, 2013, 11:42:29 PM
novi član ovdje Wink
kratko pitanje, koji je servis najbolji za konverziju BTC u EUR za Hrvatsku (ili kako natjerati bitcoin.de da mi prihvati bankovni račun Cheesy)
Tnx

kraken.com dosao sam do Tier 2  Wink bez problema salju u HR i AT gdje imam racune

Tier 0 - you can poke around but you can't deposit, withdraw or make any trades.
Tier 1 - you can deposit, withdraw and trade in digital currency only. You cannot do bank deposits or withdrawals.
Tier 2 - you can deposit, withdraw and trade in both digital currency and national currency. Bank deposits and withdrawals are available at this tier and higher.
Tier 3 - like Tier 2 but with higher funding limits.
Tier 4 - like Tier 3 but with even higher funding limits.

Dakle trebam ipak imati "tier 2" ako želim za eure kupit bitcoin! Sad
Da li traže još kakve potvrde o identitetu mislim neke dodatne dokumente
da bi mogao otvoriti račun?
