Supernet Radio Network is an internet radio station dedicated to cryptocurrency.  We are inviting devs to an interview about your coin.  If you stand by your coin, there is no reason not to try.  It is not catered to making your coin look good look good. these will be serious questions they will have to be confident in answering.  if you stand by your coin, PM me and sign up here: http://supernetradio.com/index.php/interview-requests

This is great publicity for your coin

would you provide your questions before the interview?

are you looking for tech innovation or more 'real world' application innovation ie: utility?

would you accept interview questions from the guest (they give you questions to ask them -- like most media interviews)

would it be live?

FairCoin (FAIR), CoinMagi (XMG) and Einsteinium (EMC2).

Welcome and profitable trade on https://comkort.com/

Comkort, how do you determine EMC2/USD market value?   We have a great interest in this market; our community share this interest with various other communities who also want paring with fiat.  Please let me know how you think on these things and arrive at your decisions.

thanks

I think the EMC2 / USD value is determined by the market itself filling out the order book just like on any exchange. So it needs to have a high volume to be able to start breaking away from having EMC2 paired with BTC. With some work and promotion of the new USD market though it should be possible.

By the way how did you get added to Comkort please let me know Wink

I don't know how we got added to Comkort, Oldminer was a board member and I saw some public correspondence regarding Comkort, but my inclination is that our rapidly growing inter-coin connections are reverberating throughout the CC industry.  But it very well could be that 'E' is early in the alphabet, I really don't know.

As for the EMC2/USD paring valuation thanks for that.

Moments ago I just pitched the notion of selling EMC2 for fiat -- cryptobanking, to the EMC2 board.   I think it's time to open an in-house store and start taking on that level of responsibility.   My contingencies were tough for security -- 100% manual, low volume, and slow speed transactions involving only those with a tenured and healthy relationship with us.   Everyone must be well known to the community, all new folk must be introduced and vetted to do a deal.  This way losses are kept to a minimum even if we make errors.

Here is some info for US compliance, of course if you intend on doing biz in other countries they would all have their own rules so you will have lots of paperwork depending on where you want to do business and what their rules are:

www.fincen.gov

www.fincen.gov/news_room/speech/pdf/20130613.pdf
www.fincen.gov/financial_institutions/msb/msbstateselector.html

Remember the whole business of CC is new to regulators so rules can change in the blink of an eye, be careful.

it can't plummet forever

It did for the whole year of 2014.

I got out of direct investing into BTC not long into it, the downward trend was fairly in Jan to Feb of 2014.  With alt coins there was hope for the CC industry, but now that BTC is so ridiculously low it has dragged the whole industry down to a crawl.

All of the alts have got to take more independent positions or use other more stable coins as go-betweens/intermediaries, or just create more fiat relationships.

Does Bittrex have USD parings?  If so which ones, and how do you arrive at your fiat paring rates?

We at EMC2 want an EMC2/USD market but we want to get involved with the process before initial rates are determined.

Please let me know

This post is written to ask you to contact indiegogo to give our campaign better visibility on their site.

Our campaign is not getting the level of visibility that it deserves at indiegogo,  given there gogofactor guidelines we should be rising in rank but instead we are doing down in rank.  Here is some info about indiegogo's gogofactor:

"The gogofactor is an algorithm that helps campaigns achieve greater visibility on Indiegogo.com—and reach audiences who may find them interesting.

The gogofactor is influenced by several aspects, including the scope of a campaign’s social engagement (such as Facebook likes and shares), and global reach.

You can help boost your gogofactor by following these tips:

o Post updates about your campaign and spread the word through social media. Encourage your community to share.

o Be sure to offer perks that would engage your audience and help encourage them to contribute.

o Check out our Playbook for more tips on running a successful campaign."

Here are some of my observations regarding this vital aspect of the campaign:

- As of now a minimum of 92% of the contributions came from CC community, indiegogo's platform has not produced any donations of substance as of yet.

When I search for the keyword: 'science' I see many unproductive campaigns getting the prime search positioning above us:

In 1st position now and for most of the campaign, "Byurakan Science Camp", education category, $7000 goal, 0 donations,  started on Dec 15 and will close on February 13, 2015,  No video, NO perks, facbook page connection, 1 person coordinating campaign, unverified, endeavor is NOT non-profit

In 2st pos now and for most of the campaign, "a science magazine", writing category, $500 goal, 0 donations,  Dec 21 and will close on February 19, 2015, no video, 3 perks, 1 person coordinating campaign, unverified, endeavor is NOT non-profit

In 3rd pos now and for most of the campaign, "SCIENCE OF COLOR", video category, $100,000 goal, 0 donations,  Dec 16 and will close on Jan 15, 2015, no video, NO perks, 1 person coordinating campaign, Verified, campaign connected to Facebook, endeavor is NOT non-profit

In 4rd pos now and for most of the campaign, however was at 2 for about 2 days, "WorldStrides School Science Trip", education category, $1,670 goal, 0 donations,   Dec 08 and will close on February 06, 2015, no video, NO perks, 2 person coordinating campaign, not verified, campaign connected to Facebook with 600 fb friends, endeavor is NOT non-profit

In 5rd pos now and for most of the campaign, however was at 2 for about 2 days, "Computer Science Jump Start! Coding!", education category, $4,000 goal, 0 donations,   Nov 17 and will close on January 16, 2015, no video, 2 perks, 1 person coordinating campaign, not verified, endeavor is NOT non-profit

and

In 6rd pos now was in 1st for 2 days and other position between 1st and 6th (all prize positions), "Private University of Science", education category, 3.5M Euro goal, 10 Euro donation donation made on the first day none since,  Jan 08 and will close on February 07, 2015, no video, 3 perks, 2 person coordinating campaign, not verified, endeavor is NOT non-profit

Any fair comparison of the facts would reveal that our campaign out performs each of the above campaigns in the areas identified as important 'gogo factor' variables.  We have a photo and a video, most of them only a photo, we receive higher donation amts, higher number of donations, more comments, more updates, more perks, more campaign contributors, have campaign sponsors, campaign connected to various social media (bct, FB, twitter, etc ...), also connected to various internet articles, and crowdfunding sites, we also update the campaign every day.  So why are we ranked 16th instead of 1st?

Two campaigns presently at 8th and 11th enjoyed 1st and 2nd pos a few times, both of them have well constructed campaigns and are deserving of the search rank they received, their campaigns are: Giving Teachers Free Science Videos a non profit raised $2,899, and Morgellons... Real... Disease... Science Speaks. non profit raised: $3,530

The implication of gogofactor is to reward campaigns that did their homework with good placement so donors could find them easily; yet, many campaigns that have done little to no homework are enjoying top placement visibility without donations, while we who did do our homework languish far down in the ranking out indiegogo donor sight.

We're half way through the campaign we need everyone to reach out to indiegogo to ask them to give the "Science Study: Memory Loss DueTo Sleep Deprivation" campaign 'gogo factor' visibility, contact them at:  https://support.indiegogo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.  The more people that reach out to them the more they will know we are concerned about our campaign.

Please forward the vital parts of this message to your friends requesting that they contact indiegogo (https://support.indiegogo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new) asking that they give "Science Study: Memory Loss DueTo Sleep Deprivation" campaign 'gogo factor' visibility.

Thanks

EMC2 Wants An Exchange With EMC2/USD Market

The Einsteinium Foundation is doing all we can to create new opportunities to increase the value of our currency however we notice that every time BTC's value drops, for whatever reason or no reason at all, our market value drops too, often times more so.   I realize this is rather normal, and usual, and occurs with very many other currencies  however I think its time to break from that norm and start evaluating CCs on their own merit to the degree that more CC/fiat markets are created.

BTC is now outrageously unstable and when you tie their instability to any other CC's occasional fragility it's a recipe for avoidable disaster.   I think it would be great if responsible coins (like EMC2) could skip the 'middle-currency' (BTC) so that our coin has more of an opportunity to move more independently.

What do you think?

We are trying to do the exact same thing for the exact same reason. Please let me know if something fruitful comes up for you and I will do likewise Wink

Certainly, in fact as soon as the 4 corners of the matter is discussed we should be sufficiently informed to present our case as a united front (the EMC2 intercoin committee and HYPER).

_______________________________

You have a lot of good ideas guys. I appreciate your steady hard work.

I think an active and qualified youtube channel impact on popularity. Also HYPER's idea about our own crowdfunding platform is great. Many things to come, many good things ahead.

I don't care about BTC price volatility, sure BTC is here to stay. Armis, really good idea to "break the chain with BTC". I believe if the board keeps this hard work, Einsteinium will be in top 3 of altcoins with its robust foundation on "donating to science" which makes it different in cryptocoin world. As HYPER said there will be so many coins wiped out in the long run and only a few will survive.

Sending $1 to science campaings to be noticed is a brilliant idea Armis. I really like this transparency that you discuss ideas in the forum and shape them. Keep up the good work folks!

Gauss14, I sincerely appreciate your kind and encouraging support.    If you can help us do some research, outreach, or marketing please let me know we have some projects you can directly participate with.
Like voting campaigns, back-link campaigns, article comments campaigns ... all to increase EMC2's long-term internet presence.  Let me know.

thanks again

BTC is dead  Embarrassed

if it wasn't the primary means of exchange at all of the exchanges it would be dead.

Essentially it is having a most difficult time standing on its own, it literally keeps falling.

Even if you buy BTC with an automated service the value often drops before you can use it.

Now that so many alts are following the downward trend line instead of staking a new
path on their own, the damage to them is magnified.

The digital currency is getting off to a poor start in 2015 after a rough ride last year

The price of Bitcoin dropped again this week, sliding to its lowest level since early 2013, suggesting that confidence in the contentious cryptocurrency may be shrinking.

On Tuesday, the price of Bitcoin dropped from $267 to about $224, sinking below its April 2013 value, which was before its popularity skyrocketed, according to the New York Times.

In the past year, the digital currency has been hit with myriad setbacks including market woes, fresh regulations and stagnation of usage even as transactions have increased, which in part resulted in a more than 50% drop in the price of bitcoin.

SOURCE : http://time.com/3666651/bitcoins-prices-plummet-to-2013-levels/

oh, and it's not finished yet, the market has already see sub $200 btc, which is causing some to no longer see it as an opportunity to buy but a time to quit.

On the bright side, some of the alt coins are holding their own.

2015 will surely see massive changes in the CC space, my hope is that the industry regards safety and security more.  During the Mt Gox madness (now a full year old) I pleaded for better security, I argued for more responsible management of resources, and I asked every to demand better security.  I TOLD YOU SO! over and over again

If the market isn't safe and secure people will leave it, we can't have a system of chronic thievery and expect it to thrive.   The system can't support the plethora of ways from wallet viruses, exchange hacking, gox/moolah, to PNDs  it just can't support all of the irresponsible nonsense.

There has got to be rewards for responsible management, there has got to be recognition of excellence, and there has got to be an incentive to do things right.

BTC's infrastructure is worth tens of billions, but without the necessary security in place to secure funds there are just too many ways to lose your money.

With a secure system the coin will easily see $1000 btc immediately, and climb rapidly all over again.

Bring some integrity to the game and we all win.

That's a great idea to send $1 to worthy science campaigns from the EMC2 Foundation. Maybe you could tell them that if they would accept an EMC2 donation you could give them more a little more in the form of EMC2?

Sounds frustrating. I never imagined it would be hard to find campaigns to fund. But with the long term thinking you guys have I am sure it will definitely pay off in the end for EMC2 being able to carry out its mission. Feel free to tweet some stuff to @hypercrypto and we can spread the word a little.

A dedicated EMC2 youtube channel is a great idea. Since we started posting weekly youtube video updates and also our new HYPER intro video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMTt3zAJgpg Interest has been soaring. I would highly recommend getting an EMC2 youtube channel off the ground with an intro video and weekly videos if you have the resources Wink

Also it sounds to me like perhaps EMC2 should go straight for the source, and set up your own crowdfunding platform where people can donate EMC2 and other supported cryptocurrencies to worthy science / world changing projects. That would be something and as most of the support is from cryptocurrencies (especially EMC2) why not? It would get a lot of press too as there is nothing quite like it as of yet. Beats waiting around for Indiegogo or another site to add cryptocurrency support. With coinpayments it wouldn't be too hard to set up either.

Just my 0.02 EMC2 you all are doing a great job and you've been steadily plugging away at your goals while many, many other coins have come and gone.

Yes, we do have a youtube channel, the video in the campaign is the most recent addition, the campaign gallery video is our 'about us' (EMC2) video.  You're right we should provide additional video, but as Varvarin indicated our hope is that the success of this campaign will bring on more projects to work with.

When I mentioned sponsoring youtube channels, we would pay channel owner for the right to place a few second clip at the start of their video: "this video was sponsored by" [show EMC2 logo] "The Einsteinium Foundation .... (with a catchy tagline ... 'donating to science')"  and also have a mention at  the channel's youtube channel info page.

Indiegogo is a magnificent CF platform, there are very many other CF platforms some of which with a focus on science all of them will be used.  As for setting up a CF platform here is where we would need to partner with you to create a platform.  You know there are a ton of games seeking CF each year, this would also serve as a source for your gamer coin consortium (the three coins) as well.

Between the cause-coin consortium and the gamer-coin consortium we have a minimum of 8 different coins represented to start.   I think this type of project could serve all involved very well -- let me know what you think.

I was recently made aware of a new CC ranking site:

https://www.coingecko.com/en

Noticed that EMC2 is in top 100

Their system considers various factors to arrive at their ranking, specifically:

Development,
Community,
Social Networking,
Public Interest,
Liquidity
and
market capitalization
https://www.coingecko.com/en/methodology

Of course with such criteria objectivity takes a back seat and political influence moves further forward.  But I like the fact some of the work produced by the board is factored into how we, as a coin and community, are portrayed and judged.

Coin Gecko is a great site that uses some interesting metrics to formulate their rankings. I like the public interest rankings that use google results and the metrics for social media account followers etc that are also taken into account. Glad to hear EMC2 is in the top 100 HYPER has a decent ranking there too Wink

How is the crowdfunding campaign going?

Whoa, HYPER 35 ... its always good to see improved ratings eh?

The crowdfunding campaign is nearly 100% funded by the CC community, currently we tracked all of the funds except $10, which may have also come from the CC community.   It's great to see the broad base of support from the CC community, but disappointing to know that indiegogo's platform failed to produce donations of substance as of yet.

When I search 'science' and see so many unproductive campaigns getting the prime search positioning above us I get steamed.   Two days ago someone put up a photo (no video) of a castle, the campaign title was something to the effect of 'want to start a science university', has about 5 paragraphs of text, a goal of 3.5M euro and bingo, he's in first position for keyword 'science'.   I noticed the campaign owner was an unverified 1 person team with no FB or Twitter connected followers, and no previous performance history with indiegogo yet he occupies first place on the 'science' search.

Nevertheless, we've been working tirelessly to create a wealth of backlinks to connect the campaign to our keywords 'cryptocurrency', 'science', and 'crowd funding', in the primary search engines, in this way the campaign will continue to produce impressions for Dr. Havekes, EMC2, and the sponsors for a long while.

Although we are on track for exceeding our base goal I thought we would be working on our first performance goal by now.

This experience has enabled us to create some protocols and guidelines for different aspects of the whole process of CF, marketing, campaigning, and campaign mgmt.

Believe it or not, it's very difficult to find science projects worthy of funding, if anyone thinks it's easy please take the job.  In the run up to the campaign I saw a number of other Science related campaigns that were very interesting, I reached out to some of them, 'videos for science teachers' campaign responded.  I think it would be good for EMC2 to be one of their youtube channel sponsors, that's something we will discuss after our respective campaigns have concluded.

That experience opened up a new marketing tool for us.  So we created an account for The Einsteinium Foundation with the intent on finding worthy science projects to donate $1 to.  The donation will allows us to support the campaign, allows the campaign owners to be introduced to and learn about  EMC2, and allows us to contribute comments to the campaign that are visible to all who visit that campaign.   This high quality, and highly efficient form of outreach can lead to finding EMC2 grant candidates too.

The more active EMC2 is in the CF space the more headway we create for the CC industry.
