I don't understand what the accusation is? They must have an accusation and proof to raid someones home. Is it fraud, money laundering or financing terrorism? If it's the first one then it's nothing. But the other two means something big is about to happen.
Ah well. If I read it right, the letter apologetically explains that doing a search was the only option they have when dealing with an accusation of such a strong crime. Like "we need to sandpaper the inside of your anus, but we say sorry first".

I only have some basic German but: 1. (April 9th) seems to be a notification from for the Polish authorities of the Polish bank account being blocked until July 8th 2013. He has 7 days to reply although I don't understand what happens after he replies. 2. (April 16th) seems to be a written reply from his lawyer, saying that his account was used to receive money in payment for virtual currency "bitcoins" from people mostly from Germany and from the company MTGOX POLAND INC. 3. (April 16th) seems to be a confirmation from the German authorities that his apartment and possessions have been searched (!) Doesn't look good

Where did you get the confirmation from Mt Gox that their lawyers are working to solve SEPA payment issues?
MtGox Twitter account FYI

I'm European and don't have a BoA account but this needs class action indeed.
If only Gox gave us some reassuring info about proceedings with their CoinLab/Silicon Valley Bank deal...

updated thread with MtGox SEPA delays and Bank of America issues.

The "this site is offline" message comes from the Cloudflare server service which I believe uses a technique to try and detect and prevent DDOS attacks on servers. It also throws up "false positives" from time to time as well. I just checked blockchain.info and could reach the site without any problems.
No. Still offline.

6 days EUR to SEPA still waiting.
I kinda have a gut feeling that the Polish bank account has been frozen for 7 days and they don't want to say it. Just my speculation, no fact.
Hope it's 7 days and not 3 months like Bitcoin-24. I was counting on that money.

Yep, now it works for me. Bit happier

Oh great. EDIT: now Gox is up.

Indeed. There's a reason why most of the old-timers won't use Dwolla, and never will.
Ah well, in the early days I used Paxum. I also had a Dwolla account which I believe I never really used due to the high fees. Not sure now, too many parties have passed since. Last year I deleted my Dwolla account right after reading the TradeHill story. They still occasionally spam my mailbox.

You haven't been here long since you failed to mention tradehill TradeHill huh? I thought they were bankrupt. Googled for them now. I'll update the thread so. I had a look now. Clearly they are rebranding it into some sort of exclusive club. I qualify for membership yeah. But no thanks because F*CK YOU SNUBS. I don't see anywhere mention of their fees anyway?

# Bitfloor just got their bank account closed # Bitcoin-24 got both their German and Polish bank accounts frozen # CaVirtEx got their Royal Bank account closed, not sure how to fund them right now # MtGox survives and thrives although some users claim to be waiting since 2 weeks for SEPA withdrawals while for some others it works fine. And Bank of America has disabled transfers to their Japan account. BoA also claims the block is at Gox's Japanese bank. # BTC-E rejects many claims of accounts being hacked - I wouldn't trust a Russian exchange run by unknown people anyway sorry. # BitStamp survives and thrives so far thanks to lax legislation in Slovenia. # BTCChina - no info at all about these? # TradeHill - back from the dead - good for companies maybe. 10000$ minimum to get in and trade 1000$ at a time # CampBX - this seems to be working although with very low daily limits
Did I forget anyone? Also pls correct anything inexact above.

1. I can place unfunded orders so the change to the trading engine that was supposed to happen on April 17th is NOT implemented to date, nor I could find any recent communication about it. 2. I don't know exactly WHEN US-based customer accounts will be moved to CoinLab. That was supposed to happen by the end of last month, right? 3. Rumour has it that their SEPA account (which goes through Poland) is currently maxed out for withdrawals and we have no information on how long the withdrawal processing queue is. I don't want to spread FUD but after seeing what happened to Bitcoin-24 I'd rather have some public reassuring statement right now. 4. For fiat I have two wallets in Gox - one in USD and one in EUR - because the USD wallet was automatically created at account creation. I have been trading in both currencies. Yet I could find no indication about what will happen to the USD one with the CoinLab deal.
I believe that the world's biggest bitcoin exchange should do better than that by now.

nope, I can place unfunded orders just fine.

why so angry?
because swings like these destroy the confidence in bitcoin as a mean of exchange for goods. Of course I want to get rich, like anyone else. But for the sake of the bitcoin idea itself I'd be way happier with some stability.

96.89 at the moment of this writing. Whoever ass-manipulator is behind this, please keep going on with your bull trap setup. I can't care less. Most of my BTCs are in cold storage by now and definitely not for sale any time soon. Feel free to crash the market as many times as you wish. All you can have is a bit of my play money. Yes I bought BTC lower this morning and sold higher right now. 3 grand Euros in 7 hours. Feels good. They'll pay for a hell of a birthday party. Thanks for those.

Most of my BTCs were bought below 10$, some I mined myself. I went all in long time ago.
I converted a part of them to fiat in the last crash - just enough to cover all of my fiat investments in the last months plus some premium for all of the hassle. Moved the rest to cold storage. Made a commitment to myself not to touch them before end of November this year. Except for a few grand worth that I left on an exchange - for me to both keep playing the trading game (although on smaller amounts) and possibly spend them once my favourite shops will accept BTC.
If I just had slept through the crash, right now I would experience a higher profit (in fiat). So - in a sense - I lost. But the last crash turned me into a zombie and I was starting getting ill. Now I have my sleep back.
