1042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help a noob create a coin on: December 12, 2016, 02:22:18 PM
How much will it cost to hire a coder? Do I need to register my coin name and ticker somewhere? is there any agency that allots ticker like ICANN allotes domains?

Check out walletbuilder everything there are automatic ,you just fill in the information in their order form and supplied them with your own logo or ticker, about ticker of course it should not be copyrighted, you don't want to face or encounter copyright issues in the middle of your coin promotion.

I don't advise this website, you may check cryptocoingods they are awesome guys, they will do everything you want, you can contact them on skype, website, everything. If you want to make a good code, with some basics, it may cost up to 1 btc, but you will have a solid code, and even some after sale support.
At this point you will then be able to add more services like nodes, block explorer, exchange listing or merchants acceptance, faucet, gambling websites ...
It is up to you, however, if you don't have any knowledge about blockchain, then don't even think about cloning a coin, you will just end up like a scam project.
1043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead / Dying Coins you want revived on: December 12, 2016, 02:18:29 PM
If you have a coin you think is good and want it revived/ chain fixed let me know in this thread.

I dont like to revive those dead coins since those alts are just useless thats why they are dead and people dont have any interest on it and why we should bother to revive if no one uses it? I would not choose since i dont like those coins which are considered as dead.

Sometimes the projects are great (like 8bit) but had been just screwed by the dev, 8bit is currently under active reviving, it was one of the top 10 coins with a higher value than eth, it uses darksend and masternode, and the team is great.
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins Comparison Chart : Need help on: December 12, 2016, 02:16:51 PM
May i ask you why you choosed these Alts ?
There are a lot of other Alts there who may be more interesting for you if it is for study purposes, i tell you this because most of the ones present in your table are using effects to make they project look viable, and they copy/past each other with some technical words differences only.
1045  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Learning JS for bitcoin apps on: December 12, 2016, 02:13:18 PM
First if all, i recomend you to lear PHP because even if he is in decline, he is still the most secure code for backend programing. Now for JS, w3school is great to begin, and then you can learn socket.io, learn template usage and customisation, and finaly you will be able to create templates, all of this can be done in 1-3 years.
I also advise you to fetch Github and NPM for interesting packages related to bitcoinJS-LIB :

http://bcoin.io/browser.html - A bitcoin full node in the browser
https://github.com/bitcoinjs/bitcoinjs-lib - Start here

you can fetch more and have more examples, you can even generate an address with js and send withdraw funds with it.

Some are even developing it for Altcoins. But here is the order wich you should follow :

- HTML
- CSS
- JS
- NODE
- SOCKET
- BITCOINJS-LIB

This way, you will always learn the required language before going ahead to annother, you can add PHP just after CSS, because you can do the same using a bitcoin/Altcoin daemon runing in a VPS running in the background, and query him with RPC callbacks.

good info. thank you.
i learning this theme now

Only this will take you 1 year to learn, and master the basics, but you will then be able to do near everything, libraries like angular and reac will be just a childs play for you. Always learn the basics and then go for the details.
1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cannabiscoin is scam? on: December 12, 2016, 02:11:41 PM
But its not a scam is it? I still have some on a old wallet somewhere.
You'd better sell them before you get stuck with 0 buy orders, beware poeple, don't invest in trustless projects, never send money to projects you know nothing about, unless you don't care to loose money. It is like investing in HYIP, don't send money unless you accept to loose them.
1047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Investment on: December 12, 2016, 02:09:45 PM
How about Komodo? It did good with its campaign here and now giving bonuses to those who are joining them or who have joined. I think it can give a good blast at its price hike. Thanks to those offers.

Id rather advise you not to follow too much this kind of coin, they are copy/paste of several projects.
For me LSK WAVE NXT ARD KOMODO are all made by the same people, just look at the technologies used, i forgot to mention the RISE also.
Bitconnect is a good investment opportunity, the ICO will end in 18 days and they have gathered 900 BTC, you should check it. ICOs are a good way to make money out of projects, but you should really take care not to invest in scam projects, check the backgrounds of both project and team, use whois to confirm the identities, and once you are done with this, you can make your minde.
1048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency [ICO Live] on: December 12, 2016, 02:04:29 PM
The early investors are lucky they are giving a whopping 40% bonus, those who wants to invest should invest now the 20 % bonus is still on until the 15th of december, this is the best gift that you can give to yourself this Christmas and newyear,Bitconnect Coin is on for a great venture this year.
Smart people are in at the very beginning of a crowd sale where other people mostly keep waiting till they see the project in question gathered many coins.

That will be the moment another large group of waiting people will jump on board. Currently there are nearly 900BTC collected with more than 18 days still to go.

It will be interesting to see whether or not the 2000BTC mark will be reached. I think the chances of this to happen are definitely there.

I think the OP needs just a little bit more aggressive marketing, as your analyse is true. 900 BTC isn't a small amount, it shows how the project is taken seriously by people, and maybe they can use as an argument to bring more investors to the project, as you said, there are just 18 days to the end of the campaign.
Maybe they are reserving for the next campaign, i will definitly participate to it Smiley

now these guys got it all backwards here, an ICO but no wallets to store the coins in if half the people that release these coins had a brain, they'd be dangerous. I'll never use this coin. no wallet downloads raises a million red flags. I smell pumpNDump scam. and possible diff spamming, jacking up the diff so high no one can mine it, or they run the POW phase out in the ICO so only a few people ever have coins.

an ICO but no wallets to store the coins ?? Are you nuts majority of Ico will not give their wallet yet only after the ICO is over,I don't know about your million red flags but I can bet you can't even write 20 red flags of a scam coin, before you post do a lot of reading first, your ignorance is very obvious.

As your ignorance is, read carefully the OP before posting such trash. The wallet will be available 5 days before the end of ICO, mining and pools will start then, and the project will enter in the next development phase.
I like to talk with you, but please.
1049  Economy / Economics / Re: Imposing tax on bitcoin on: December 12, 2016, 01:58:43 PM
I am not against taxes, they are mandatory for today's world, think about a study who compares the tax rates to the development level, as parts of GDP, they started from the middle age to 2010, i loosed the link but they said that the development level of a country is bound to the tax's GDP part as it is used to provide services to the citizens. This is true as now you can compare developed countries and the other, the first pays taxes while the others don't, and you can see the result in everyday's life.
I don't say that we should live in a tax free world, this would bring us back to the middle age, but we should be taxed for more things, at lower rates.
Take the VAT tax, it should be lowered, and the difference can be taken back by other taxes, like Pet owning tax ( this is just an example ), it is just a matter of accounting game, but at the end, taxes can be lowere with an extended coverage, at the condition that people actually pay them.
I don't think that a 1% tax on Bitcoin will disturb anyone.
1050  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin payment app for converting bitcoins to gift cards at various locations? on: December 12, 2016, 01:49:41 PM
What part of buying gift cards with btc is hard.
Egifter is pretty state forward, tho your idea could work since most giftcard sites aren't physical cards.
In most cases people are buying online if they are buying giftcards with btc.4

But yeah i can see the idea working but i think you should try to find some data on it.

Thanks for the info, Egifter seems great but i never heard about it, and i was looking for something like this since a long time, it is a great gift idea. Physical delivery is irrelevant nowadays, only Edelivery can be considered, and the more gift card sellers are, the better it is, especially when they use bitcoin.
I know a lot of people who can't access internet based payment options, and bitcoin is a great solution for them, that's why i think there shall be more projects like this one.
1051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency [ICO Live] on: December 12, 2016, 01:46:26 PM
I love this project, seems so much promising, the ICO is going well, the websites are gorgeous, i really hope they will do a great job as they will have all what they need to do it.
1000k BTC project, it may be the year's project, i am eager to check the wallet and mine some of it. Keep us feeded with news OP, you are awesome !
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead / Dying Coins you want revived on: December 12, 2016, 01:44:26 PM
There are hundreds, have a look at staketoken for example, the dev left the coin and leaved the blockchain.
1053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help a noob create a coin on: December 11, 2016, 10:43:11 PM
Hi,I want to create a cryptocurruncy for some specific niche but I have no technical knowledge or any knowhow on how to do it.
Will someone please post some easy to understand step by step guide on creating a crypto?
I would like to know every thing from requred budget to hardware requirements if any.

There is this person called Tillkoeln, he will literally develop any coin for you pow/pos, etc.
Just try to contact him, the moment people realize cryptocurrencies aren't like creating email accounts is the start of a new era and hopefully we'll see some responsible and logical developers to do it for the servicing the communities and not to milk them. Smiley.

Or, you can start learning C and QT, this way you will know how to clone, edit, and release a coin.
I highly advise you either to start a project and recruit people to help you, or, learn how to do it yourself if you have enough time for it, because it takes a loong time to learn these languages. You may eventually have to learn other languages to do what you have in minde.
The bold refer It "MUST".
What will happen with a noob of the crypto wanna creating or be a dev of a new coin? May I think if there is a chance caused by the crowd funding or ICO. The simplest way to collecting the money.
A lot of noobs was getting attract with the crowdfunding method. LOL  Tongue Angry
This makes the shitcoin was everywhere.

If they decided to go for ICO, it is because of the lack of donations. This forum is financed by Ads, but still people want to donate.
Could you please tell me why there are no donations ? why don't people create a fund to help these noobs in their projects ? been a noob doesn't mean that you are a useless junk, all of us were noobs when we first registered ( ok, maybe not all ), they deserve a chance to learn, and then realise their projects.
1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins Comparison Chart : Need help on: December 11, 2016, 10:39:12 PM
I don't really agree with you regarding the WAVES, i don't think the language is javascript as i checked the wallet, it appears to be javascript but actually i don't think it is, maybe they use JS and HTML to render the wallet, but the technology is JAVA, like NXT/ARDOR.
Correct me if i am wrong please.
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead / Dying Coins you want revived on: December 11, 2016, 10:36:08 PM
No, not really, you know if a coin is dead, then there are good reasons, you will find hundreds of coins dead in the altcoin announcement section, start from the page 6~9 to the end.
Or, you can pick one from some exchange and try to find the coin with the most stuck volume, with 0 buy, i am sure a lot of people will join you there.
1056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing at stake in proof of stake on: December 11, 2016, 10:21:19 PM
sometimes i see from pow miner this argument:
"At pos, whales mine everything... small fishes doesnt take nothing", "it's a Rich get richer scheme".

well, i do agree with that... but the question is: is pow different? can i mine bitcoin using my old desktop(an small investment)? of course not.
to mine coins using PoW i have to make a huge investment in hardware. and to mine coins at PoS i have to make this same investment but in coins..

I Agree with you about the POS, it all depends on the weight, but as far as i remember POSV3 should solve this problem. Now for POW, it is a simple capitalist sheme, invest more to earn more. Consider POS reward as a bonus, not as a way to earn money and everything will go well.
Doesn't banks give fixed 2%/year rate ? it is a bonus right ? it is the same here.
1057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cannabiscoin is scam? on: December 11, 2016, 10:18:31 PM
it is generally perceived as an ongoing FUD attack on cannabis coin.
if it is not removed, then there is incessant spamming of FUD in the cann thread

there is a long history of such and i believe it is generally attributed to 2 or 3 people(?) associated with some other marijuana coin.
you can find more info on it if you troll the threads here, as there are other dedicated anti-cannabiscoin threads.

..
you can get some idea of how annoying it is by the fact that their "more info" link goes to a deleted thread.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1139394

also see the previous official thread, that was repetitively hijacked. the fud level was impressive at the least Cheesy
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=661885.5620

Hillarious.

FUD attack ?

Really ?

That is the best you can come up with ?

I read what was posted and hell yeah i would call it a scam !

Drown rats.

I love this guy Smiley his posts are so much funny.
Seriously, do you really think tht serious people may get involved in a project called "CanabisCoin" ?
It is saying " Hello, i am the latest scam here, do you agree to let me empty your pockets ?".
guys, please let's not loose time talking about so pitfull wounds in the Altcoins world.
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Investment on: December 11, 2016, 10:14:00 PM
These are just my ideas :

- XAU => i don't know if the mine is open, but you can invest there, the project is valid, the team is crystal clear, no worries.
- LSK => i don't know exactly what they are doing, nor where they are now, so, i don't know, but people talk a lot about them.
- WAVE => they are about to release some major features ( if not aleready done), you should consider investing here as their growth may be interesting.
- Bitcoin => the best value here, check low volume exchanges, this way the price will dimp quickly Wink
- LTC => The price is stable for now, it may drop but apparently people are aware that they are the most serious Alt.
- AUGUR => i know nothing about them. Complete VOID.
- RIPPLE => they are climbing right now, there may be some interesting deals with them, but they are centralised.
- DASH => the first X11, they had been pumped recently, you should consider them as they are very important in both acceptance and growth.
- STEEM => you can buy, but not now as people are powering down, wait untill the price beggins to climb again, buy, and when the powering down starts, sell.

These informations are comming mainly from coinmarketcap 7days charts. Plus some infos i catched in the forum, for the rest you can just hook to the concerned topics.

1060  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin payment app for converting bitcoins to gift cards at various locations? on: December 10, 2016, 02:20:29 PM
As someone who spends bitcoins often, mainly via gift cards, I am finding the process a bit non-user friendly.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in an app where you just fill a wallet with some bitcoin spending money, then you can see on a map in your area where you can spend those bitcoins (including gift card accepting locations), you go to one of the sites and when you reach the checkout you just pull up the barcode for the cashier and pay. The conversion to gift card happens behind the scenes and you don't have to worry about buying gift cards or figuring out which card you need (location, store location, automatically does it for you).

Not ideal but you would have a lot of options for spending your bitcoins with the focus being on simplicity.

Would people use this?

I am sure that it is a good idea, maybe you can organise an email delivery service for gift codes, you can buy them from steem for example as they aleready accept bitcoin, or request a bulk buy operation. The same for wallmart but i don't know their policy for bitcoin, same for amazon.
It may be intersting to do this as a lot of people may experience troubles to get these cards. Even if for some, it is not a problem, it can be an enormous help for a lot of users worldwide.
