502  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE CASINO - GET YOUR CUT FROM DAILY TREASURE CHEST! on: April 19, 2017, 09:24:37 AM
It's good to see players are increasing in the site, seems the update is working well and effective in attracting new players.  I do not know if it is just a none peak time whenever I visit the site, but I saw around less than 40 users every time I log in  before the update but now I seen an increase of around 35% users.  Btw, alex was in the chatroom and made it rain but well I missed the rain just a couple of minutes lucky me  Embarrassed.

Nah, you can't be more unlucky than me, regarding rain at BitDice.
I never been online when the rain occurs, so... Cry Grin

Hahaha, same here.

But still, you have made a nice amount lending out bitcoins, whilst I have gambled away most of my coins on Bitdice and Coinroll lol.

Must mean that you need to hang around in chat more often Tongue

The rains are happening at all times of the day so be sure to hang out more often lol
I didn't know there was a rain, not been active betting lately due to some personal reasons, but I'll try to be active in days to come.
I'm glad to know that Bitdice are progressing better, more games attract more gamblers and that active community really helps a lot.

Good to know you are coming back to the community and you havent really missed as there are various uploads and updates that have been added to the platform for great experience for our pleasure at the same time making a run for our money.

I havent been able to log in even after i reset my password

I am sure the admin will look into this and resolve it.
i think it was 5 days ago i used contact

You can still send him a PM here. With screenshots and a clear description of your issue, personally i think it is better to contact them on bitcointalk.
Or as suggested, you can send them an eamil, or talk in the chat, or use the contact form. Bitdice doesn't have a ticket system, or i didn't found it yet.
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dash Instamine is a non-issue. on: April 19, 2017, 09:02:32 AM
Partial Instamine is a non-issue.

1. Bill Gates pre-mined Microsoft stocks.
2. Mark Zuckerberg pre-mined Facebook stocks.
3. Vitalik pre-mined Ethereum.
4. Crypto-coins are both digital gold and a stock.

I believe that creators need to have financial incentives to make their projects a success.

EDIT: Here a guy that wrote an article that Bitcoin is not a digital gold, but more like a company stock. Good read !
https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/65ks6p/critical_misunderstanding_bitcoindigital_gold/

EDIT2: Even better would be, for the investors, is if creator pre-mines his coins, but uses a 5-year TIME LOCK transaction, so he can't dump it on the market. This will provide a long-term motivation to improve his creation. Pump-and-Dump out; Innovation in !

-Technologov

For you maybe.  The instamine would be 'OK' only if Mr. Duffield informed everyone that he would do so.  But he didn't.  He broke a social contract with the community and that's a bad and dishonest thing to do.  But whatever, DASH is riding sky high and that's what matters for everybody interested in it right?  Wink

Actually Mr. Duffield suggested an airdrop but the Dash community found that a bad idea and it was decided that the best way was to just move forward.
Specially as such a large portion of the instamine got mass-sold on exchanges right after the instamine happened.

Which means he did not broke any social contract.

Could you please give more details about the instamined coins ? Where are they ? and is it possible to track them ?

If they were mass sold on exchanges, it could mean that dash's creator wanted either to create a development fund for DASH, or just fill his pockets. Maybe both, but i think that it would be better if we have more informations about it.

And please, ignore the trolls, i know that many of them doesn't even know what is a premine or an instamine.
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to verify if a project is genuine for a non technical user? on: April 18, 2017, 03:14:42 PM
There are some simple methods to check for ICO scams :

- Check escrow conditions, if there is no milestone, don't invest.
- Check the identity of each team member, the photos are not enough, check their social accounts, google them, do anything to get their ID. if not, then it is 90% a scam.
- Don't waste time on whitepaper, it is made for technical users who can understand the content.
- If somone invites you to invest, and wears their signature, beware, he may be paid to get investors (at the moment just a few users do this)
- Ask them the ICO scam killer questions like : Where is your business plan ? what is your expected realisation delay ? Where is your financial plan ? ...

With these, you can easily avoid ICO scams, but even Bust them.

Oh yeah, forgot that asking questions is a kill, remind me of something

True agree on the photos of team member is not sufficient as photos can be took, and even use others social profile

The questions i asked to ascendancy just killed them, they deleted them (as it was a self moderated post), in the end, it appeared to be a scam. On background they was sending me PMs inviting me to talk to annother guy for these kind of questions which looked suspicious to me, this is why i droped them.
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best altcoin to be kept on: April 18, 2017, 01:45:03 PM
The number of altcoins increasing. There are tens of altcoins. All offer their specs. However, The altcoin users will think what the best altcoin to invest or to buy. In trading they can exchange anytime but my question is. What the best altcoin to be kept hoping that the price will sky rocket like bitcoin. When we keep the coin we will gain a lot of profit due to the rising or the price. What do you think and why ?
Well you want make investments into altcoins for long time investments, personality I made investments in ethereum for long time investments the reasons are ethereum has big capitalization, we can check on coinmarketcap.com and ethereum has good fundamental is like many projects related ethereum's blockchain.

Your first argument is good, while the second is irrelevant.
Anyone can create an asset/smartContract, and things like that in Ethereum because it is made like that. A good argument regarding ethereum for now is his popularity, but it is not an element who should be considered for long term holding.
Something important is the adoption, i must say that recently i found a lot of projects using ethereum and accepting it. I talk about merchant adoption.
The more a coin is adopted by merchants, the more it will be valued on the long term.
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steemit moves away from crypto-centric on: April 18, 2017, 01:41:29 PM
Any more comments or thoughts on steemit?

Nothing except the reccuring Pyramid scheme accusations, and the steem development team issues.

I tested steam and don't really like it, i don't even see the point of such a system especially because it is a social media platform that pays his users for the created content (if the other users like it). It is like recreating the wheel.
Beside of that, it is crowded with whales, and as pointed earlier in this thread, they don't have experience in finance and trading as they are just dumping the price of steem. But maybe the price drop is due to the Pyramid scheme ? Anyway, they must wait 2 years to powerdown, what a huge cooldown "I have 2 millions$, but won't be able to get them home untill 2 years have passed", it sounds really stupid.
I think that one of the bigest problems of steem is the lack of inflation controle, too many coins are created, and just a few of them are used. why ? because there is no merchant integration. They should have done this with the steemApps, but apparently no one is interesting developing such an application. What will it be usefull for ? nothing, because else, someone would have aleready done that, and i didn't found it yet.
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dash Instamine is a non-issue. on: April 18, 2017, 01:31:58 PM

Which argument has been lost?

LoL.

The argument that "Dash is a scam".

here have another read... denying a scam whilst being a known benefactor of that said scam and being full furnished with the facts proving it is a scam does make you a known scammer tok. I hope you realise that. The best you can do is acknowledge it is a scam and argue that the fact it is a scam is not an issue to some people. That is your best route. There is no other I can see for a known dash holder protecting his masternode investment. You've been here too long to make out you have no knowledge of the facts presented below. Therefore unless you want to be known as a scammer like qwizze and evans you can not continue to deny the facts and observable events that are there for all to study.

Let's take a look at the first 5 h of Darkcoin (XCoin at that time)...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg4589219#msg4589219
Edufield said (after failed launch) that he will wait the next day to launch DRK (XCoin at that time) it is 11 pm.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg4591407#msg4591407
Edufield disregard windows wallet and daemon and hurry up his launch, presumably to not have windows miners on board.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg4592827#msg4592827
Edufield say he added four nodes for the launch at 4 am (5 hours later, despite his promise to wait). The 4 nodes from Edufield are 3 amazons AWS + another unknown (whois IP). Launch started at 3h54 am.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg4593601#msg4593601
Edufield said the github version was not updated, nobody could compile and only Edufield was able to mine until that time. It is 5.09 am and Edufield instamined alone 1153 block at 500 DRK + 60 block at reward 277 = 593120 DRK for him alone in about 1 hour.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg4593987#msg4593987
No windows wallet confirmed at 5h47 am, despite a user attempt to make one avaiable, that Edufield dismissed quickly.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg4594096#msg4594096
Illodin, understand dev has instamined alot of coin.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg4595573#msg4595573
From this list of nodes, at 8h34 am (4h40 after launch) there were 50 Amazon AWS node and 50 microsoft cloud computing instamining DRK (checked using IP whois service). This is 100/124 nodes using cloud computing to instamine DRK. We are at block 2870 and block reward is 500. From block 1153-1729 block reward is 277. After that it is 500 again hence 2294 block at 500 + 576 at 277 = 1306552 DRK (worth about 13M$ now) were instamined in less than 5 hour by Edufield and coworkers using about 100 cloud mining instances. Edufield himself instamined in not even 5 h from 600K to 1169K DRK ((1306K-600K)*100/124 + 600K) depending how many of the 100 cloud mining instance were its own. All this while having purposefully set the difficult ridiculously low and block reward 100 times what it is now.

SCAM = unfair and dishonest scheme = dash

This latest defence is so strange. Where are the victims ? what are you talking about it is there in black and white.

1. everyone who was told it was a fair launch LIKE ALL THE OTHER LAUNCHES AT THE TIME. - then prevented from mining fairly = scammed
2. everyone who was told there would be much more opportunity to mine ( then that got slashed by 75%) - prevented from mining the coins that were then taken away = scammed.

here are your victims.

3. everyone buying now thinking dash can go somewhere not knowing the scam it is will forever hold it back = being scammed.

Every dasher on here trying to scam others into supporting your scam = scammers.

I will be updating my scammers thread to add all of your names to it.

Denying a scam after it is proven time and time again to you in black and white = scam enabler and defender = scammer.

Threads examining the evidence of the captive instamine and reduction of the minting to magnify such instamining ...PROOF OF SCAM

If it was a development requirements, or a premine for marketing campaign, ICO, the rest of the instamine would have been burned, that's what i said in other posts.
Is it possible to have some addresses to track them (he should have around 50 addresses) ? Does the nature of DASH makes this impossible ?
What is he saying about the coins ?
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best altcoin to be kept on: April 18, 2017, 01:23:59 PM
Even though the number of altcoins is increasing, the number of good coins is a constant Cheesy

Sadly, yes.

Annother blind investor, your question is irrelevant to the altcoins world.
Altcoins aren't P&D schemes, they are projects with objectives, these projects needs funds to realise their objectives, this is what we call an ico, or a premine. Even if a lot of them are just scam, at least a limited number are legit, and these aren't to be compared to each other.

Can you compare NXS and SafeNet ? Maybe Eth and Etc ? why not XMR and DASH ?

You can't compare them, they are altcoins, and they are different, now if you want to hold shitcoins, it is your problem, they can be easily found here.
The only advise i can give you is to stick to most famous coins, as they are legit, their value isn't due to a price manipulation (most of the time).
Or you can try to order the coins by adoption, as they will have higher chanes to survive.

If you want to trade/invest in Altcoins, you shouldn't select a single one, as it is a non sence. Pick at least 10 of them, if a coin have an interesting project, just hold it and you will get your valued satoshis.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [*] 8BIT [Dark Masternodes][Anon][Roadmap Stage 4] on: April 18, 2017, 01:11:38 PM
I am happy to see that finally 8 bit thread is active again. It's been a while, sadly zucker isn't here to see this.

Yes there is a slack channel, but you have to wait for 8-bit-party to invite you as he haven't set an invite bot yet.

By the way, i hope that this activity isn't due to recent rise in the price of 8-bit.
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion about Dash on: April 18, 2017, 01:09:45 PM
Premined or not premined who cares? What counts at the end of the day is the price and the future of this coin. At the moment its a little overpriced but in the long run it will stay as acurrency. and when bitcoin rises it will take dash up with it like the other old and established alts.

You are right about the primed or not premined, it doesn't matter, especially when it is not a premine.
I just wonder why suddently everyone is interested in dash's instamine, it is like "bitcoin unlimited, what means assert 0" it is a totally irrelevant question. As i aleready said, a premine is used by the developers to check how the coin is working.
The real question is, why haven't they reset the blockchain ? why keeping the instamined coins ? If the coin have been premined to prevent abuses from miners they would have burned the coins. If it was because of the marketing, it is the same, burning the coins would have solved the problem a long time ago. Also is it possible to keep track of them ? have they been mined to the same address ? is there a way to know what they are doing with them ?

These are the most important questions, not premined or instamined because you can't revert this, but at least, you can monitor it !
513  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Create a transaction with BitcoinJS on: April 18, 2017, 09:41:39 AM
enough with the data that you've got it, do not need to sign the transaction.
you simply enter the data and any further instructions ikutin into the transaction

Signing a transaction is an important security measure, unsigned transactions are maleable. You should check this : https://bitcoin.org/en/developer-guide#transactions
And revise some of the informations you have about bitcoin transactions.
If you are too lazy to read the Transaction of the developper guide, maybe this post will interest you : https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/7253/signing-bitcoin-transactions

Id like to thank this community for assisting me in recovering my stolen funds, I honestly thought I would just be ignored or only get 1 or 2 replies. But I am overwhelmed by the support offered by some of the people in this forum. Hopefully when this is over I can offer a few of you a reward.

thank you all, I have not forgotten my promise to reward community members who have assisted me.

I will provide a detailed update to the community on the situation tomorrow once I receive my 15 BTC.

I think this is the most important, please advise us when you recover your Bitcoins. I will then remove the negative trust, at least untill someone else opens a scam accusation against them.

We should really start a community for busting gambling scams.
It already exist!

If it hadn't for our continuous efforts and of course support of fellow DT members like Lauda and other's,I don't think they'd even take his accusations seriously.
I was contacted by Satoshidice after I called out their scam and they saw the necessity to move to a new domain.

Next up : Powerbet.io
Powerbet is beaten, I have everything. The only problem is that victims are brain washed and do not want to spend anything. They are happy to throw a ton of Bitcoins after scams, but they are not willing to spend some more to enforce their claim.

I don't think they will pay anyone as long as they get their money back. Could you give use more informations about the community who busts scam casinos ? or you are talking about bitcointalk ?

...java which is a poor language compared to C++ who is far more powerfull then JAVA, plus, it can't be easily integrated.

It is very obvious from this quote that you're not a programmer.

It depends on the point of view of each programmer, i personally don't like java, and all what is made using java. And my preceeding post here was about a benchmark comparing node c++ java.
Have a look at this : https://benchmarksgame.alioth.debian.org/u64q/compare.php?lang=node&lang2=gpp you can also find benchmarks for c++, pyton, ruby, all compared to nodeJS.
And here : https://benchmarksgame.alioth.debian.org/u64q/compare.php?lang=java&lang2=gpp for java/c++ benchmarks.

Is there a way to know on that same server when the transaction has been processed and added to the Blockchain? Thanks!

It is not related to the thread, but you can get these informations using APIs from block explorers, if you want to have a live feed of transaction confirmations, or reception, you  can use blockcypher's websocket, subscribe and you will get all of these informations.

And POW is out of business for private corporations needs:). Just compare core features of Nxt and other POW blockchain and come back here and try to answer OP request again Smiley

Well, this is what i was saying.

Maybe they won't stop it now, maybe later, in the end it is the same because it would be useless to fork them, and they can't use them to create an asset as it iwll be difficult for their users to got in.
A clone of BLK would be the best i think, it is pure POS, with new protocol, active development, easy integrations.
They can use any bitcoin fork as long as it is pure POS, maybe PPC also.
518  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 21.5 BTC TAKEN BY SPORTSBET.IO on: April 16, 2017, 09:14:14 AM
That's reason why i stopped gambling long time ago. Casino's are friendly only when you are losing. Even if you won fair and square they'll steal your money and expect you to leave like nothing happened.

It doesn't matter if they were oldschool casino's who accept credit cards and other shit. These new bitcoin casinos are not different than the previous ones.

This shit is cancer. Stop gambling.
possibly they are connected to each other those who are creating this gambling site have some ideas how the system will do, i'm not saying all of them but apparently there are some shady casino's that only good when you are depositing and losing your money but when you got some luck and you earn huge earnings you will be suspected doing something and they will delayed or freeze everything.

Considering the informations bellow :

The operator and manager of sportsbet.io is known: SportsBet.io + BitCasino.io

They are indeed linked, by the same licensing company who is maybe the owner of the platforms. It looks like it is a network of scam casinos with the same schems repeating. Like the serial scamers we have in the altcoin section.
519  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 21.5 BTC TAKEN BY SPORTSBET.IO on: April 16, 2017, 08:55:53 AM
Glad Lauda and everyone tagged that account.  What OP posted is proof enough for me, and I don't see how anyone could deposit that much bitcoin in any of these shady-ass offshore gambling places.  It's like shooting your money off into a black hole and hoping you get it back.  I get that you like to gamble and all, but these casinos man...what does anyone really know about them?  They're almost like these exchanges where nothing is known about management, etc.  Crazy.  Hope OP can recover his funds.
The operator and manager of sportsbet.io is known: SportsBet.io + BitCasino.io

Nice job, so apparently the owner of these websites is a known scamer, regarding the informations you provided, i had a look at Curaçao in wikipedia, it is a fiscal paradise, so the best action is to complain about them to the FBI, or Interpol or, Europol, any internation police can do the job, especially if you do it from dutchland, this will trigger an investigation if there are enough complains, and will eventually lead to arrest the owner of these websites.
Regarding the bitcoins, i don't really know how they will react.

Ardor is NXT2.0, which means that as soon as the ARD get in production NXT will be discontinued, this is why i conseder it as no longer existing. And it will happen soon.

You should also note that NXT and ARD aren't made for integration, they are made to be a self containing ecosystem, so if his company wants to have the possibility to integrate their coin, the best is to use bitcoin forks or Ripple, as they are made to be integrated, especially bitcoin forks, made for all the languages.
