When I last looked (probably v0.4.0), it appeared that the code sent to a set of nodes sequentially, which could presumably be very fast or very slow (depending on the connect/read timeouts configured, and the state of the other nodes at the time). Is there any reason why this can't be done as parallel tasks?
Yes, parallelization is more sophisticated. Current implementation is called Nxt Reference Software. We could optimize networking by using binary protocol instead of JSON, but this would increase entry barrier for newbie programmers. The same is applied to other parts of NRS. Maybe it would be good to have 2 types of protocols JSON for local communication and binary for remote communication or maybe use data compression while sending data. For example you or the developer that would continue work on the project could create a procedure or library to convert JSON data to binary data. What are your thoughts about this?! |

When someone sends a transaction he must set a deadline when a transaction expires. Hello. I have one question related to transaction for sending nxt or registering aliases what happends if the transaction is sent but afterwards the client(server) is closed or disconected from the network before the end of the deadline? Does the NRS needs to be connected to the network the whole time until the the end of the deadline for the transaction to be successfull?! Thanks. |

Did it take 1 hour to download the blockchain? Well, I'm not sure. I was doing something else in the meantime. I did the same yesterday and it was not working when I waited less than 15 minutes. Hello. I see by the posts that a lot of users have problems with this blockchain download and then they try to open the client interface before the download has been completed which gives them errors. Is it possible to know the size of the blockchain in advance and put some kind of notification (message) in the command line output like "Please wait! Downlaoding blockchain.... 5% of 100%" or something similar. |

1. eMunie will be an open source after a short period of stabilizing after the launch, the only purpose of short-period closed source is to prevent the copy-cat..
2-Pre-Mined: I would rather not call it pre-mined. eMunie in my opinion is a POS model with the extra-built-in supply-demand to ensure economic stability and also preventing bump and dump, that is the way a CURRENCY (and not a commodity) should be. Of course Without placing an initial amount of coins in the system you can't implement the POS and an uniform Demand-Supply basement above it!
3-This POS like model with a soft supplied source of new coins, is provided with a fairer distributive way of mining. It will not be a hardware-Energy hungry Asic-armed race of mining all for the same straight line of blocks 0, 1,2,3,4,5..................
If this is a kind of POS model what is the initial distribution model of the coins I mean EMUs. Will every user that joins the eMunie network receve 1 unit of emu to start with or how will the distributed at the beginning?! |
