holding well and on Sunday as someone said, should be powerful going forward, developers are Unix and C++ skilled in cryptography and distributed networking attacking correct problem which is commercialization of storage and content
1062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New version 1.1.5 on: November 30, 2014, 04:37:56 PM
difficulty hit over 11k. getting pretty high compared to what a burst coin is worth :/

Getting pretty intense but I bet is only the beginning. Perhaps big boys mining and buying coin at the same time. Maybe preparing for a good pump.

Doing a good pump requires getting big market share so that there isn't much people can dump when price get high.

difficulty now at 12K someone turned on a data center... pools semi freeze at that level of difficulty only luck can help

why pools could freeze when difficulty rise??

maybe higher network size... higher traffic???

harder to find a block , no block no payout
1063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: [OPAL] | SuperNET | MARKETPLACE | ANDROID | FILE SHARING | HTML5 WALLET on: November 30, 2014, 04:15:23 PM
my gosh.. 0.00006909 BTC so we crossed 100% gain mark.. and heading higher on Sunday ??

last order at it was : 4978.71952881 (0.34397973 BTC  exactly twice as much as yesterday)  a bargain ?

yep a bargain.. new order at 0.00006935 BTC ... wild.. and I believe just the beginning

0.00007000 BTC has been breached! did someone say don't sell below 6000 ?

0.00007050 BTC... yeah so this might be going towards 10K BTC.. Today! not tomorrow

by NEXT you mean NXT?

yes of course NXT on the supernet, magic pairs  Cheesy I misspelled it only because I missed the train on it.. not this time!
1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: [OPAL] | SuperNET | MARKETPLACE | ANDROID | FILE SHARING | HTML5 WALLET on: November 30, 2014, 03:32:59 PM
Dont dump below 6000 people!  Cheesy

before decentralized drive is released and one of only few coins right next to futuristic NXT ? are you kidding

bittrex reports many many small orders in tens' of units.. this is great it means wide reach, it is already expensive for many

if executed right, this might become first ever decentralized storage with unrivaled encryption capabilities , in addition if they add market place for content, it is tangential to DRM... I know I keep saying that.. but this is what market knows and calculated to the price

great stuff

close to 100% gain intraday... move... just awesome.. anyways sorry for the excitement  Cheesy
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: [OPAL] | SuperNET | MARKETPLACE | ANDROID | FILE SHARING | HTML5 WALLET on: November 30, 2014, 03:30:39 PM
this is truly wild.. what an aggressive price move... market bought in ten's of thousands in the last few hours
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: [OPAL] | SuperNET | MARKETPLACE | ANDROID | FILE SHARING | HTML5 WALLET on: November 30, 2014, 10:49:14 AM
Time for a new article, right?

Looking forward to future announcements Smiley

I read your articles btw when not mining or following exchange trends, thank you  Smiley

great news on Riecoin world record which I also own, people there are going strong as well, interesting times are shaping up
1069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: [OPAL] | SuperNET | MARKETPLACE | ANDROID | FILE SHARING | HTML5 WALLET on: November 30, 2014, 10:47:18 AM
I made fantastic buy yesterday of OPAL.. best this year, also joined incredible conversation on supernet channel for which I am grateful

have a great Sunday!

just returned from crypsty people there are really excited.. question from many there is why.. such a disparity between exchanges, I mean time am transfering all OPAL to cold storage as development on supernet.. and market place for digital products (I own several other coins targeting digital market place (I hope not just digital) which I think is gonna be big in 2015 and >) is going to happen and I don't buy/sell for satoshi's gain I also noticed anon feature is going to be incorporated , and I noticed even a developer was knocking on your door here to yield help

overall,. it is truly fun and what crypto is all about!    Smiley

one more thing. noticed developers are Unix (Mac on client) bound.. was part of the reason for my entry (I analyze things deep)

looking also now into storj.. storage is will be key.. DRM is THE holy grail.. pay for content .. anyways.. sorry for the excitement

I am confirming OPAL is part of SuperNET and we are working together on some really cool tech together!

James
are you able to give info on what the tech is? Smiley

second that, someone please repost announcement release especially in the conjunction with supernet and storj dev team cooperation

meantime transferring coins to "cold storage' and encrypting.. thank you and have a great weekend

purchased over 7K on 0.28 BTC it is Saturday Nov 29 2014
1073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: [OPAL] | SuperNET | MARKETPLACE | ANDROID | FILE SHARING | HTML5 WALLET on: November 29, 2014, 08:04:14 PM
entered this at close to 10K OPAL and holding love "storage" connection
1074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New version 1.1.5 on: November 29, 2014, 01:59:33 PM

reward also dropped to 8.57K , for some one is better of to purchase BURST depending on access to cheap disk storage,

reward gonna cut again very soon. 100 sat is a very good price to buy and u will get more burst compare to mining it using the same amount of money use to purchase hardware.

Moreover, mining is a slow process (6 - 12 months to get same amount from buying @ 100 sat) in getting decent amount of burst compare to buying it using the same amount of money.

exactly right, ~767K BURST is 1 BTC (Today) for posterity as things won't be the same and it will be nostalgia later  Cool

let me see what the cheapest drives are on ebay right now if refurbished risk of failure after 2 days

difficulty just crossed 10,000 ...
1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New version 1.1.5 on: November 29, 2014, 10:12:51 AM
This could be the reason why miners get less coins, seems like an uptrend last week

...

reward also dropped to 8.57K , for some one is better of to purchase BURST depending on access to cheap disk storage, sometime I also see sudden spike in network capacity usually at a precise time interval, is someone turning on large capacity drives at a data center then shutting them down ... seems like it

so yes.. it is progressively going to become much harder already is, I predict that in 2015 drives of capacity 100T and > will be required to make a dent
1076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New version 1.1.5 on: November 29, 2014, 02:19:58 AM
price gaining some upward momentum , if PR got sort out and burst developer do a release / news of new feature , it's a recipe for huge price gain. Things are looking good so far.

0 complains from me, I say stick around way into 2015 and beyond

have a great weekend all

---------------

Please everyone let me know your thoughts about this. I'm eager to start marketing BURST.

You want to promote Burst but want payment in BTC? Why?
It seems like you are not confident in your abilities.

looks solid to me, 3 BTC is something that could come from premine (is there a premine ?) I like current BURST logo / color theme very much so the person knows what he/she is doing (very nice)

marketing is important, no doubt. but I feel all of you are so very impatient, nothing Today is "well" at the moment, but technology is advancing  , blockchain technology ain't disappearing in fact it is best thing next to TCP/IP innovation I say much more important even

 Cool
1078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New version 1.1.5 on: November 26, 2014, 04:50:08 PM
If you added wear hdd you can halve I think.

Well, I can say that I have been purchasing external HDDs for plotting.
In two months I can recover the cost of the HDD (Unlike the 6+ month minimum ROI on GPU mining equipment).

I now have HDDs that have paid for themselves and continue to generate income.
If it dies, so what?   I have already recovered the cost of the drive... I'll just go get a new one.

How is this being portrayed as SO different that using GPUs or ASICs?
It's EXACTLY the same risk... and if managed properly, you will always be making money.

must say very cool community has developed here, like person showing how to optimize RAM usage.. it is great cause you will gain ever more not necessarily technical folks in due time

have a non rainy day unless is rainy tipping wise , we don't have BURST tipping yet but I feel it is one of these things that is going to literarily BURST and not just BURST coins into mainstream (and many other things) I would not worry about low price at all this year is dismal for everyone

 Cool
1079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New version 1.1.5 on: November 26, 2014, 04:03:14 PM
is this profitable again or hdd farm are raping it?

you don't became rich.. but is still profittable...

16TB here
110watt power consumprtion

average 8000 burst / day.

at 100 sat 0,008btc...

3$/day
at 0,30$ cents/kilowatt 0.8$ power cost.. better 1$

= 2$ is the gain...

And how much does it cost to buy those 16 TB HDD along with required hardware like CPU , PSU , RAM , etc ?

Not to mention block reward cut every month.

At some point (100 sat is a good start), its more profitable to buy instead of mine simply because the same amount of money spend to buy hardware + paying for electricity can get you way more burst than u can ever mine in 6 - 12 months.

And if burst were to go 1,000 sat tomorrow , u make way less money mining because u have to mine 6 - 12 months to get the same amount of burst from buying using BTC.

one important thing, hardware can be reused, disks to wear off however, but rest , like server machines absolutely reused.. not everything is cryptocoins although some people do think that  Cool

anyway q327K091, what do you mean pools are in major disarray ?

@uray: something was changed again, which is fine it is beta product... risk taking, thank you for your work.. thanks also for native implementation of some of the interfaces in your pool
