How long have you been taking it?
1062  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Neuro Enhancement now available for bitcoins on: May 14, 2013, 08:10:19 PM
OP sent me a sample of their NeuroPEPT product.  It is still in the mail, but I am excited to try it.  I have never taken any nootropics before, so after I get it I will post about my experience with these products and maybe it will give some reference to other people who have never had nootropics before.

I'll post again after I have had a chance to try it.
1063  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Need Help: 5970 getting 99c without overclocking on: May 14, 2013, 06:30:47 PM
Please help me, how to minimize the temp.
Look for physical problems, airflow restriction, etc.  Look for dust.  Take the card(s) out and blow compressed air thru fins on heatsink to dislodge dust.  Lots of airflow will pull lots of dust thru a card, and some of it will stick.  Once a good base layer of dust is in place, more dust will stick to it even better.  Dust will insulate the fins from the air, and will slow down the airflow, so it hurts you twice.

If this works - send me coins: 1MPy7rAaRccD1m9XmG8xF6BLoLGvo1y79J

Dust could definitely be causing a rise in temps, but it seems like they would gradually be getting higher and higher rather than just suddenly jumping to 99C.  Who knows though, might as well give it a try.

It didn't goes suddenly actually. It tooks 8 hours to reach at this stage. I was running my card with 80c normally. When I was sleeping it reached at 99c.

I meant over time.  Like when you first got the card it got to 80c and over time the temps started getting higher and higher.

What was the highest the card was getting on previous nights?

Is it tomorrow or friday?

BTW you should probably delete previous bumps just so it cleans it up a little  Wink
1066  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Running 3 GPU's off one 750 watt with No CPU/Acessories? on: May 14, 2013, 04:11:37 AM
Assuming each 7950 uses 200, that's only 600w.  That allows you to have an extra 150w for overclocking etc.

You'll be fine.
1067  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 3rd 7970 only getting 75kh/s? :( on: May 14, 2013, 02:30:59 AM
None of these people know what they are talking about.  Mine your scrypt coins.  You will be able to sell if for close to the same price a few months from now, so just mine now and you can sell later.

 For now though, see if you are maxxing out on ram.  You should be using around 4.5gb between those cards, so there may be an issue if you only have 4gb of system ram. Didn't read, if you have 8gb of RAM that definitely isn't the issue. Open GPU-z and see if the clock speeds go up when you start your miner.  When you aren't mining, the card should be clocked at 300MHz.  Sometimes when you start mining, it stays at 300MHz and that is a reason for slow speeds.  Report back and we'll see what we can do.

Well if you bought 18 of em, you might as well assemble the rigs, mine for a month and then return them.  You would be able to pay for the 20% restocking fee and more

Selling 2.5K for 6LTC
1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / WTT 2.5K PWC for 5 LTC on: May 14, 2013, 01:28:22 AM
PM me.

Either you pay first or no deal.  I will deal in low increments if that is what you want.  You can look through my posts for my trade rep.

I would usually accept escrow but this trade is only for 15 bucks.  Then again, I'm fine with escrow if you find the person and will pay for fees.
1071  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Rebranded 5870 (6870) for only $130 on Newegg on: May 13, 2013, 11:30:34 PM
after the diff increase and seeing it go up real quick, I'm having second thoughts if i event should build a farm. Am I the only one?

You should probably hold off for a week or so.  By then, we will have seen if the LTC price has caught up to the difficulty or not.  If it hasn't, it is only gonna get worse.

Is there something I am missing here? Why $500?
1075  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Rebranded 5870 (6870) for only $130 on Newegg on: May 13, 2013, 07:39:42 PM
I messaged jambaman42 in regards to a listing he made for a 6870:

Hi.  Which 6870 is that?  Is it the version with 1600 shaders?

Yes it is

How quickly can you mine LTC with it?

As it said in the post between 350-420 khash/s per card depending on the settings. I had it running at 414 pretty consistently but then I was fiddling with the settings and it went lower toward the end. This is without OC and temps were pretty near around 70-75 range.

I don't think any of you need to worry...
1076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PowerCoin PWC RELEASE IS NOW! on: May 13, 2013, 05:52:06 PM
'How to Mine'.

Open the client, then go to Roaming and find powercoin folder. Then, make a file called powercoin.conf and put the following code in:

testnet=0
listen=1
maxconnections=100
server=1
rpcuser=*
rpcpassword=*
rpcport=9863
rpcconnect=127.0.0.1
addnode=81.17.16.170
port=9862

Are you kidding, right?

Could you please write A FUCKING MINING GUIDE? Thank you.

Dude, if you are so damn stupid or n00by that you STILL can't figure out how to solo mine a Scrypt coin with no special features... well. Maybe mining isn't for you.

STFU and write the fucking mining guide, please. I don't give a fuck about mining this pos, but there are many people interested, so, WRITE THE FUCKING GUIDE!

Jesus...

You think you will get him to write a mining guide by acting like a total douchebag?

Is this a joke?

1080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC - Why are you mining with 7950 and not with 7970 on: May 13, 2013, 04:39:03 PM
interesting thread...
i did some math here in Romania:

7950      1300 RON (394$)      Avg 600KH   2.16RON/H (0.65$/H)
7970      1650 RON (500$)      Avg 800KH   2.06RON/H (0.62$/H)
7970      1700 RON (515$)      Avg 800KH   2.12RON/H (0.64$/H)

7950      1300 RON (394$)      Avg 620KH   2.09RON/H (0.63$/H)
7970      1650 RON (500$)      Avg 760KH   2.17RON/H (0.65$/H)
7970      1700 RON (515$)      Avg 760KH   2.23RON/H (0.67$/H)

So basically there is no tangible difference between the 2.. Maybe 7970 will have a better resale value when you sell your farm.

Unless of course i`m wrong about the averages. Because i saw 7950's that do 640KH but i don't remember many 7970's doing 800.. So basically if the math is done with an average of 620 for 7950 and 760 for 7970 you actually get a better deal getting 7950's

You can't count on getting 800KH out of all 7970s... I have only seen a few people do it. Plus 7950's use 50w less power.
