1082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Surpasses Tesla, Ranks 11th Globally on: October 26, 2023, 11:34:40 AM
Market capacity is a rapidly changing measure and may lead Bitcoin to be close to or exceed Apple during the next 18 months, considering that we will stop somewhere between $2 trillion and $3 trillion.
There is also no comparison between Bitcoin and Tesla, as they are both in different fields and target a different type of customer, and Bitcoin is not a stock to be compared to one of the stocks. This title would be good for the beginning of an article to attract views, but there is no relationship between Bitcoin and Tesla that would make us compare the market capacities between them.
It is listed on some sites like that. If I see sites or people comparing stocks with bitcoin, it use to annoy me because they are not comparable, only time is what that is needed and the difference between a digital currency called bitcoin that is recognized globally as money, currency, investment and store of value and those stocks listed with it would be known when bitcoin price fall will still give a bigger marketcap higher than the highest stock marketcap. I do not think that would be up to 10 years away.
1083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Used Our Wedding Savings to Play Bet on: October 26, 2023, 08:01:10 AM
I also feel sorry for the lady but life goes on. If she called off the wedding, life goes on.

But I want to ask a question. The lady only called off the wedding and continue with the man or she also broke up with the man? The finance may not be a gambler but just want to try his luck, but that is stupidity.

I have seen something like this before but I did not know who contributed the money. Men like some risky. Some of them were luck but some were not lucky.
1084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Live Sports Betting vs virtual Games Betting on: October 26, 2023, 06:25:20 AM
In sport gambling, I prefer in-play most. In-play is betting on a real match, not virtual matches or betting. In bookies, I prefer reality and I gamble using virtual matches at times and which is very rear. In in-play matches, the result csn be very fast and it would have been settled during the match. Although virtual betting has the advantage of not taking more than 30 seconds and some gamblers like that. If you go to betting agent, you will see many people in the place betting on virtual matches for over many minutes to some many hours. But I prefer real sport betting.
1085  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can someone explain how liquidation works ? on: October 25, 2023, 08:44:17 PM
@JeromeTash is the one that is correct.

Assuming I use 5x leverage to short bitcoin at $27000, the liquidation price would be around $32400. If bitcoin increased to $32400, the funds traders used to open short at $27000 will be liquidated.

Assuming bitcoin price is at $35000, the funds of traders that long at $35000 will be liquidated around $28000 if the price of bitcoin fall.

The higher the leverage used, the closer the liquidation price to the market price.

That is the liquidation that the crypto news are referring to.
1086  Economy / Speculation / Re: 127% Up from Bottom in 2022 on: October 25, 2023, 04:48:30 PM
History is repeating itself if bitcoin can go above $40000

1087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: October 25, 2023, 03:47:24 PM
Lastly, I deposit 1800$ to have a better bankroll again, This time I’m betting like a high roller and lucky manage to recover my losses and bag 150$ profit.
You are indeed lucky, because this is just the way people start to gamble with small amount of money and later go for bigger amount like your savings or all the money that you have with you. What will later end it is the person finding himself that he got no money again as all has been used to gamble. Just quit gambling for now to have a better mindset. Do not go more than your gambling budget anymore, because you are lucky today, tomorrow may be very different.
1088  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2023 end game sentiment check on: October 25, 2023, 02:07:36 PM
I did not choose becuase I did not see what I can choose. I would have preferred price ranges. If there are price ranges in the poll, I will choose between $30000 to $37500.

I guess bitcoin is not going back to $25000 this year.
1089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the cash-out feature only available in sports bets? on: October 25, 2023, 09:21:20 AM
Hey Good day to you all, so i want to know if the cash-out feature is available with other games aside from sports bets.
In casinos, games are usually very fast, unlike the days or hours that would be required before a match would be started, but which you might have decided to cash out, or the in-play that will take many minutes which you can decide to cashout.

Because of how sports are, that is why there is cashout, but which is not possible on casinos. On casinos, I have not seeing cashout before and I do not think it would be there because it is not needed.

If you gamble in both casinos and bookies, you will clearly understand why cashout is not needed in casinos because of how fast their games is with single outcome.
1090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep a record of winnings and losses in gambling? on: October 25, 2023, 08:36:26 AM
It has not come to my mind before to keep the record and I do not have it in mind to start keeping it.

Many here will feel that this is waste of time and will also not let them enjoy the game peacefully. Do you also have same mentality?
Not that I will not enjoy gambling if I am tracking it, but I have a gambling budget, which makes it a waste of time. Gambling budget is not also time demanding while calculating it.
1091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just like visiting a cinema on: October 25, 2023, 08:22:11 AM
This have been discussed few times before and someone have to do it again maybe often, for those of you looking to become a gambler what is your motives behind it? To make money? Or to have some fun? Here is my advice to everyone of you.
I was gambling to make money, but I was taught a lesson. After the lesson learned, I later chose to use gambling to make fun because using it to make money will not actually make money for you but losses instead.

Casinos, either online or offline, isn't a place to win money for the 99% of people, but this same group of people want to confused or already confused themselves that they can make money gambling, this isn't the proper way. It's meant to be for fun and not so serious like your life depends on it.

If you want your life to goes on with ease, learn to be a fun gambler and not too dependent on gambling, this is what gets people f**ked, the reality of gambling is you win when it's not even expected, be a responsible gambler.
That is just it, but if you do not go beyond a small gambling budget like 5% of your weekly income spent on gambling weekly, you should not be very reckless of thinking not to have some strategies to help make the little you can make if possible.
1092  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is the Gemini exchange in trouble? on: October 25, 2023, 07:24:06 AM
You think Gemini is in trouble because of the lawsuit from New York Anthony general that Gemini defrauded investors $1 billion

https://cointelegraph.com/news/gemini-genesis-dgc-sued-by-new-york-attorney-general-for-allegedly-defrauding-investors

Do not hold your coins on exchanges, move them to noncustodial wallet.

If I move to a different exchange, which one charges the least to sell coins and transfer the cash to a local bank for withdrawal?
I like Binance and OKX.
1093  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will $BTC soar beyond 35K or dip below? 🚀📉 on: October 24, 2023, 12:26:22 PM
Join the BTC discussion and let us know where you think it's headed! Will it skyrocket past 35K 🚀 or experience a dip 📉? Your insights matter, so cast your vote and share your crypto wisdom with the community! 📊
I can not say the price will go beyond $35000 or go down back to a price below. The outcome will depend on if the spot bitcoin ETF is approved or not. If not approved, I am expecting the market to calm and if calm for long the price will fall back. But if spot bitcoin ETF is approved, the price will increase above $35000.
1094  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $5k rise within an hour plus. on: October 24, 2023, 11:49:55 AM
Just within an hour plus bitcoin rose by $5k which I don't think anyone had expected it in this way and it's a thing of joy for all bitcoin hodlers of which this rise has in addition lift the optimism of everyone's speculation about bitcoin bullrun any time soon even though the bitcoin ETF which in postulation  is believed to offset bitcoin price if approved is still in the pipeline unapproved.
Within one hour, bitcoin rose from $31600 to $34750.
Four hours after, it rose to $32300. It takes very longs hours for bitcoin to rise by $5000, although it rose from $29880 to almost $35000 yesterday.

Just to express my thoughts about this $5k upturn, inam having a hard time to accepting that a very close bullrun is underway if I don't see a corresponding altcoins price move with the bitcoin price move towing them along in every move. My resolve will be strong for a bitcoin bullrun when this happens else this is going to be followed by a long time dump.
If bitcoin ETF is approved by early next year, the bear market time would be far become it comes. As for now, I do not see any bear market coming.
1095  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Low trading fee on MEXC on: October 24, 2023, 11:39:42 AM
Maybe you mean the Coin-Margined Perpetual Contract Trading Modes[1] feature. Anyway, this was an announcement 3 years ago, idk if it's still available now or not, I'm not an active MEXC user. Don't you see the settings related to this feature?

1. https://support.mexc.com/hc/en-001/articles/360054875031-MEXC-Coin-Margined-Perpetual-Contract-Trading-Modes-
I know what is coin margin mode since I have known about derivative trading, it is not what I am talking about. If you want to know  what I am talking about, go to Binance derivative and change the USDT-M from single-asset mode to multi-asset mode and see the lists of coins like bitcoin, ether, ripple and some stable coins which you can use at the same time use to open USDT pair position. If you want more options for many coins, go to Bybit and change your account to unified trading account and read about it too.

The last exchange that announced zero fees ended up in bankruptcy, which was FTX.
Exchanges do have promotional offers. Binance has zero trading fee for most of their trading pairs either last year or beginning of this year. Since I joined Bybit, there is still zero trading fee for UDSC trading pairs on spot market. But I am more of the future trading type.
1096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling Generally An Illicit Activity? on: October 24, 2023, 09:00:54 AM
Gambling is banned in some countries and concealing money won through it can be considered as money laundering. But in countries where gambling is not banned, it can not be considered as illegal activity.

It is believed that some laundered money are sent to gambling site inorder to conceal it from its origin, but this is not what this thread is about.
1097  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin’s long-term investors own over 76% of all BTC for the first time on: October 24, 2023, 08:47:43 AM
This data has already started pricing in the Bitcoin market looking at the sudden surge in price we got lately.  Just today Bitcoin had a tremendous price increase that saw the price smash the strong $31k resistance level drop the price more than 3 times on getting to that level and go as far as touching $33.7k from the $28k price level, making it roughly a six thousand-dollar increase in the price of Bitcoin.
The momentum is back and Volatility has increased hugely.
This are the best time to hold. The reason for the latest price surge is because of bitcoin spot ETF hype. Let us see what would happen, but I think bitcoin is still bullish right now. Only what that is needed is time, United States SEC will approve bitcoin ETF and the price would likely go higher. And according to what dansus021 just posted, the exchange outflow has increased and that only means people are not ready to sell but hold instead.
1098  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has anybody expected this? on: October 24, 2023, 06:39:45 AM
Has anybody somehow expected this kind of thing? Has anybody had at least a tiny clue that something like this would happen? I know Uptobers have been good months, but every huge increase especially a sudden one must have a big reason. I'm not seeing one that could push such growth so fast. I was really caught by surprise. Will a Bitcoin spot ETF be certainly approved soon that insiders have already relayed to their bosses the good news and the accumulation has secretly grown stronger?
This was the cause of the bull run that happened yesterday: BlackRock's spot bitcoin ETF appears on DTCC website with ticker IBTC

Bitcoin ticks above $35,000 as spot ETF hype builds

Everything that is happening is because people are thinking that spot bitcoin ETF will soon be approved.
1099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake casino streamers! Why such streamers are very popular? on: October 23, 2023, 01:24:21 PM
I am a type of person that do not believe something easily, streamers that are well known will be sponsored by game providers or betting sites, this is not an argument. Also a lot of things about this, like winning can much more be manipulated. In fact, I hardly watch anything related to streamers, they are there sponsored if they are well known, and some things will be just hidden about them.
1100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on side bet worth it? on: October 23, 2023, 12:53:25 PM
But recently I become lucky on side bet since I win x100 multiple time and x50 with 1$ profit. I realize that sometimes this side bet is the one that can give us the bigger profit once we get lucky compared when betting in fix amount while the result is just breakeven.
Just like the 21 + 3 and royal match blackjack side bet and some other of them. Do not forget that if you go for side bet, there is still house edge and the more you gamble in a casino, the more likely that the casino would win much more from you. All I know is to try your luck but never be stupid when you supposed to leave and stop gambling for that day. Side bet is also very risky.
